This lady rules.
great professor, she really loves her job and tries to help each one of us become great speakers
Awsome lady....she rocks !!!

She’s a oh so wonderful lady. She makes class just fun. She takes field trips, you look at slides and she points out the really important info on the slides (I.E. the info THAT WILL DIFFIENTLY BE ON THE TESTS). I got A’s in both classes and would take a
Awesome class. She is really down to earth and all the assignments are fun and easy. Really cool and interesting if you love history
Really cool lady, very nice and helpfull. She makes the class fun (and very easy). I took her twice and got two A's with almost no effort. Easy.
A great teacher who knows what she is talking about. She's tremendously funny and I absolutely enjoyed her class. She makes the class fun and enjoyable. Really cool lady, very nice and helpful.
Easy teacher. Take home Exams from the book. Slide shows every class. Not very interesting but I'm not an ART major. Small project due requiring trip to Art museum.

AWESOME TEACHER!!!!! Mrs. Gallick-Silverstein is the BEST and I mean BEST teacher, I definitely recommend her for this class! She makes class so fun! and Soooooooooooooo Easy, I enjoy going to her class...It's actually the only class I've every enjoyed going too..haha...Seriously if you guys are looking for a fun, hip, easy going teacher; she's the o
Great teacher, she makes the class simple and enjoyable. Make SURE you attend as much class as possible because theres a presentation nearly every class-projects don't take a lot of time OR effort. ALL QUIZZES AND TESTS are open notes!! I barely went to class&without even giving an excuse i made up my work & ended the year with a B!!
Easy EASY Class. GREAT teacher. Makes everything very clear and she lets you make up missed work. Very open minded. LOVE THIS CLASS!
This class is very easy. I advise you to take this class with Ms. Gallick. She gave extra credit, study guides and everything else needed to pass the class. There is no way you can fail this class. If you get any thing less than a B you might want to seek professional help, because it's like she hands it to you!
I enrolled in this class after reading how easy everyone said it was, but I was suprised. The exams arent "hard" but this class requires alot of work. 4 exams, a museum paper, like 3-4 presentations, a 10 page art journal and the book is HUGE. Not quite as easy as the guys before me make it seem. I got a B and feel I had to work hard for it.
Wow, what a fun class! This is not a class with huge emphasis on tests/quizzes. Come regularly and complete the in-class presentations, and you'll do fine. Love that she gives so many opportunities to get up and talk in front of the class--I learned a lot about myself as a communicator/presenter! Very sweet lady.
The subject wasnt hard but shes not a very good teacher. There's alot of work in this class and shes not very clear. I dont reccomend her unless youre majoring in art. If you're like me and just want to read the book and take the exam, look elsewhere. Too much BS work (journal, mueseum, presentations, essays + exams). Get your finearts elsewhere!
The worst speaker Ive ever heard in a teacher. She will forget to hand out study guides, or not mention that exams are open notes, everyone is lost. Can be very frustrating if you like to have everything mapped out from the getgo. People say its easy, but I spent 7 hours studying for an exam once. Perhaps Im just not an art student.
Perfect for beginner level art appreciation. Took course ELI, and very well run and thorough. Taped lectures were well developed, assignments easy and fun, and very good textbook. Very helpful and responsive to emails. Had very little interest in art before, but much better appreciation and understanding now! :)
I don't know what you guys are talking about, I think Ms. Gallick is a good teacher, her class is clear and easy to follow. If you do the quizes and know the terms online the class is not bad. She's helpful and easy to work with.
Great teacher. Had her for both Art 101 and 102. If you read the text and take down her minimal notes you will definitely get an A. She also allows a one page (front and back) cheat sheet for exams -- at whatever point size you need to get all the information on the page. Easy class.
Her class is so much fun!! She is a very sweet lady and a GREAT professor.
Easy class; Art really isn't my thing, but she was a very nice, reasonable person, and as long as you come to class it isn't bad. There are a lot of oral presentations, but she is an easy grader.
I love her! She is such a sweet lady. The class can get a bit out of hand and sidetracked from time to time but you really do learn. Easy to pay attention; overall a fun class. You can use notes for all exams. I typically don't like "Easy A" classes because they never teach you anything, but this is easy and you DO learn!
Love this Lady. She's very nice&lets you be creative. helped me alot! TAKE HER for Public Speaking. Group Projects are fun & funny as* ppl in the class plus u can bring snacks and she's not that strict. TAKE HER!
She is very nice. I enjoyed her class. She always brings snacks and candy to class. She keeps class fun.
One of the nicest and best professors at the Woodbridge campus. She makes art fun and you get out of the class what you put in to it. Love her, would take her class again and again if I could.
shes very sweet. classes can be boring as it is mainly slidesohows. book is extremely expensive and like thiry lbs and u rarley use it. just use the libraries copy. projects are super easy and fun.
AMAZING, NICE, to sum it up she is the top of the line, eager to lend a helping hand, excellent professor, she is a cutie
Lots of fun if you like talking and sharing. Presentations due every class, but nothing to sweat over. Easy-going and easy A. Quizzes are online and no exams. Highly recommend.
A very nice teacher, tests were take home. A Lot of presentations. but overall a very easy A.
She is a very nice Lady! A Great Teacher! I took four of her classes and would take more with her if I could. There were a lot of presentations. All were easy and enjoyable. I will miss you Ms. Gallick!
I absolutely love this teacher. Sweet and her class is a lot of fun. She lets you use notes for almost every test and is very clear. Take her if you want a good grade and to have fun!
I LOVE this teacher! One of my favorite ever! Very sweet, helpful and fun. Make sure you follow ALL of her instructions when completing an assignment - she will take off points if you are missing an element she asked for. She gives helpful exam study guides, too. Do your work thoroughly, study, and you will do well. Remember, do your homework! :)
Professor Gallick is very kind and passionate. I took her hybrid class. Quizzes were online. However, she provides study notes before hand. The questions from the quizzes are pulled from the study notes as well as the online PRACTICE exams. The final and midterm are questions from the quizzes. Take her if you can. She providers extra credit!
I highly recommend taking Art History with Professor Gallick. As a teacher, she is generally laid back, and as long as you *STUDY THE TEXTBOOK*, you will be fine. If you seek out her help, she will give you the help you need. She is also very kind, easy-going, and delightful to talk to. Once again: you must study and memorize. Do so and succeed.
Easiest class ever. She is so helpful and so her assignments. I took her hybrid first 8 week class and it was really easy. She help you alot if you need any. Most of the quizzes were online and there was couple of projects but they all were easy. I would defiantly recommend taking her. I got A and so will you ;)
Easy class. She keeps class simple. She doesn't grade extra credit correctly; she grades extra credit like its another assignment. Exams are kind of hard. Its a easy to pass class though.
Professor Gallick is a great teacher. She gets the class to interact with each other considering that it is an interpersonal communication class. There were 12 BB quizzes from the chapters in the book; no exams or tests! The work load is reasonable. If you do not like speaking or group work, the class is not for you!
Literally the best teacher I've had at Nova. She so funny and laid back. Presentations were always fun and easy. She'll even crack jokes with you. As long as you show up to class and go up there and present something it's an easy A.
The class is really easy, and you can tell she loves art. I heard she is a great communications professor, but this class was just not interesting to me. It is about ancient art and all of the tests are online. She is a very sweet woman.
I've taken 3 of her classes. Art 102, and Modern art (can't remember the number). If you're looking for an easy CST take this professor. Also if you do take her art classes I recommend taking the summer ones. Everything is online. She rules!
I'm took her summer hybrid class. She is very cool and the class is really easy. I did not really use the book even though she says you need it. It CAN be helpful. Strongly recommend taking her summer hybrid classes since EVERYTHING is online and there's no homework. Only a museum paper, 1-2 presentations and a bunch of easy quizzes and tests.
All of the comments are spot on. If you are looking for an easy class take ART 101 with Rosemary Gallick-Silverstein! There are a lot of presentations, but if you do them you will get an A. The test are take home which means you can look the questions up in your textbook or online! Easy A!
Come to class in order not to fail.
I took her for both 100 and 102 and she is a great teacher. There are a lot of quizzes that you will have to take online but they are all open note and straight from the textbook. I also used the textbook in the library for my second class with her because you don't really need it. She's funny, approachable, and very knowledgeable about art.
She's so awesome !! She knows most people are in there to satisfy a credit for your degree. She makes it fun and not boring. I'm not a huge art person however she's inspiring and made me want to paint and draw
Took her class summer '17. Easiest class you will ever take. 3 presentations, (easier than it sounds) and quizzes. They are all found online. DO NOT BUY BOOK! She is the sweetest lady, honestly. Just take her. Some people left class early, I felt bad. She is too sweet. Just stay the whole class. Be respectful.
I loved rosemary! She had the class laid out the first day, attendance is mandatory but she makes art fun! Some questions in her quiz/exams were hard to find but her class is fairly easy. Although, do not expect an A if you do not put any effort! If you do not like to present or attend, this class is not for you.
She is a very sweet and caring woman, but this class is very boring. A very easy A, but not much happens during class other than just going through a powerpoint. Also DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK! I bought it the first day and didn't end up using it once. Tests and quizzes were online so they were fairly easy and you have to do one or two presentations.
I love professor Gallick-Silverstein, shes very friendly and funny.
Really kind professor, to be honest tho she rambles with notes the entire time. Its hard to fail her class, super easy and exams are online. If you're looking for an easy A, take this class. If you want a challenge, I don't recommend this class to you.
Really sweet professor. If you're looking for an easy A, I highly recommend. A chapter presentation and must visit and museum. The tests are easy if you pay attention.
Really sweet professor. She's so kind and can tell she cares about art and her students. Took her for 100 & 102. Easy A. Couple presentations but is a fair easy grader. Option to write a paper rather than present on the museum project. All quizzes and tests are online. Overall lovely professor and easy class. Want a challenge, dot take her.
I took her class and thought she was really good. She knew what she was talking about and the class was very easy.
Gallick-Silverstein is one of the best professors I've ever had. Her class is very easy, but it's very eye opening. She's so kind and willing to help if you don't understand something. There are a lot of projects to do, but they're so easy and take barely any effort at all.
She was a very nice professor and the class was pretty interesting. The class consisted of online quizzes and tests, a chapter presentation, camera project, and a museum project. Sometimes we went to look at artwork displayed at nova and listened to artists talk about their artwork or art in general.
Read all these amazing reviews so I was thinking it'd be stress free but boy was I wrong. She decided to make two exams in class and they are not even close to what she goes over. She goes over each powerpoint which is about 50+ slides in under 10 minutes. I'm struggling/ stressed over an art class. DONT TAKE HER.
This class was actually challenging, had to read the book, and extra credit was offered for doing notes on chapters. If you hate presenting then this isn't for you unless you can be confident in yourself which you should be. Maybe the transition from blackboard to canvass made the class harder as professors aren't familiar with it yet.
If you want an easy A take this class. She's super nice. Her quizzes and exams aren't hard if you show up to class everyday and pay attention.
Professor Gallick-Silverstein is super sweet! I'm not an art major and her class was not stressful at all. You'll pretty much pass as long as you attend class. There's online quizzes and a few exams but you can just look up most of the answers online. There's also a semester project and a presentation, but she's a really easy grader.
Professor Gallick is such a sweet woman! Attendance for the class was not mandatory (I've only been to class once, on the first day). We only had one quiz due every week which were all on Quizlet and we had 2 super easy projects! If you need to take an ART 100 class, this one will be a breeze.
Professor Rosemary is absolutely adorable. So sweet and caring. She's an older lady who is super passionate about art. You don't have to be an artist at all to participate and pass this class. The class is almost entirely self-paced. Theres just weekly 10 question quizzes with questions straight from the textbook. If you're taking ART100, take her!
Professor Gallick was a good professor if you aren't good at art. She sets the class up so everyone can have a fair shot. If you aren't artistic I would take the class with her because the assignments were very doable.
If you're going to take an art class, take her. So sweet and really just loves art and wants you to learn about it. Easy grader, she's not judging the quality, but the attempt made to follow directions, etc. I have enjoyed her low-effort approach, I could just enjoy learning about art and doing art.
her lectures are boring but i never listened to them and got an A. Very easy quizzes, exams were exactly like quizzes except longer (50Q) so very simple criteria. Other than this, one project that was super easy. She's not a hard grader at all, definitely very worth taking.
God bless her. She is amazing, and I really enjoyed doing the activities. She is very respectful, and her rating should be 5 out of 5. ESAY A
Distance Learning. Great professor for art, kind, and understands that we are not all art majors. An easy A as long as you put in the effort. Weekly quizzes and three exams, all open note and open book. Two projects, one doing 11 activities based on the first 11 weeks of study, and a virtual museum paper.
SUPERRRR EASY A!! Only has tests and quizzes and one project. tests and quizzes ARE ALL ON QUIZLET! Lectures are SUPER SHORT!!!! 20-30 minute lectures. PLEASEEEEEE do yourself a favor and take her!! you will not regret it.
Professor Rosemary is totally a great professor. She's sweet, caring, and she really just loves art. She wants us to learn about this creativity about art. Her class is really easy & fun. The quizzes/tests are easy. I enjoy having her as my professor. I really enjoy learning about art & doing art in her class. I like art & being creative.
This is one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. If you're taking challenging classes this semester and need an easy class to balance out your schedule, this is a good one. Quiz questions are taken directly from the textbook.
She's a very kind teacher and willing to work with her students if they've made a mistake or otherwise. I love art and it was cool to see a teacher passionate about what she teaches, especially in my first semester of school. She's great at communication via email outside class. Her class was one of my favorites this semester!
If you need an easy A, this is the class to take. The assignments are tests based on the current chapter and two, easy projects. The test answers are easily found on Google and the projects can be done in an hour or two. If there was more variety or challenge in the class, I would've liked it more. Also, you don't need to get the textbook to pass.
Easy A class, just show up, do the quizzes & study for the the exams! All the answers can be found on quizlet & ppt! Professor Gallick is so warm-hearted! Sheis very flexible & will accept some late work.
She is such an amazing Art teacher, very kind and warm hearted. She loves art so much. I would take her again if I could. Tests are easy, just read the txt book it will help a lot with tests, Quizzes are short and open book. Project/Group Project were easy to do. Idk how she has 1 bad review, If you failed this class then you're just lazy!
I liked professor Gallick, but I didn't really like art 101. She lectures a lot so it's had to retain all the information making tests and quizzes harder. There are 2 group reviews and 1 final project that is presented in front of the class, so if you don't like stuff like that do not take this class.
Awesome art history professor, lectures were very interesting and went by quickly. I recommend her course!
Professor Gallick is truly one of the sweetest professors I've had from the Manassas campus so far. Her assignments are so easy a lot of her quizzes are from Quizlet. You also do not need to purchase the textbook since a majority of the information is on her lecture slides. 10/10 would take another class from her!
She is an amazing professor, I don't really like Art but she made it engaging and the project we did during the semester was also really fun. 10/10 recommend
She is incredibly sweet and passionate about what she teaches. You can get by without opening the textbook and most of the quizzes were just a google search away
This pressor is the best I've ever had at nova, she is such a funny and caring teacher, always cares about her students and makes quizzes very fair for us. definitely recommend :)
AMAZING PROFESSOR !!! 10/10 person and teacher
She was so sweet and her class was pretty easy. We had one project, one paper, and a ten question quiz after each lecture.
AMAZING. open book tests ( can find online ), open book exams! very clear grading criteria. Do keep up and understand. ensures your success. She is amazing ! so caring, not attendance or homework heavy. Just 1 test a week that takes 5 minutes and thats all.
I took her over a 6-week summer course and it wasn't difficult at all. She is extremely nice and we mainly had to read and take a quiz on said chapter. We had two main projects, a self-introduction presentation and a chapter/museum presentation. The other two major grades were 2 exams but they were similar to the quizzes and were open book.
Very sweet and understanding!
Very nice and caring teacher, she cares about her students and the work she assigns gives a very clear rubric.
She is such a delight and loves when the whole class participates. She tries to have our projects be fun and interactive. Highly recommend her
She's a great professor, but there were too many presentations—one to introduce yourself, one on a chapter, and one about a museum project . Attendance is taken, so make sure to show up. All quizzes and exam are open book no lockdown browser or webcam.
easy class good professor but she doesn't give extra credit. i literally had an 89.15 and she didn't bump it up overall good class.
