One of the best proffesors Ive ever had. Very clear on teaching, and very helpful. Gets you interested in material that is being covered.

Kwa was a great english teacher. she's motivated in helping her students do better esp in essays. she's always available in her office hours and is willing to arrange time to meet students outside of class. I really recommend this teacher if u want to learn. my eng101 was soo easy thanx to her.

She is such a great teacher. She really has a lot of information for your essays. It is damn near impossible to NOT understand whta she wants. All you have to do is analyze a little more than in some other classes. She is GREAT!! I would take her again if I had not passed it!

Shes trys to play it off like its a hard class and shes very strict on not accepting late work, but she tells you exactly what should be in the essays and lets you turn in late work (not essays though, i dont think)Shes very intelligent and never makes anyone feel dumb. You want to learn how to think and write in English than you belong to Dr. Rosemary Kwa's class. It is not easy but you will get the benefit during in your lifetime. She is very polite and helpful. The class material was very hard like university level but she walks you through if you ask for help on time. Take her class and save your time.

Dr. Kwa may seem a bit odd at first at her teaching but it pays off after the first class. She is so polite. If you have personal problems that is impeding you in getting a better garde talk to her and she will probably be able to work something out 4 U. The class was hard at first but if you got a great teacher then you can accomplish anything.

She demands and expects a lot from you as a student. I took her for Winter 2006 and I must admit it was tough at first. But in the end, if you're willing to do the work and write a 14 page research paper, you will leave the class a much better writer...I recommend her if you really want to be challenged and excel in your writing...

She is soooo hot wow i love this woman. Too bad shes pregnant now, shes kinda moody but shes still the hottest teacher at GCC. Her teaching style is almost perfect, easy to understand and fun. She has a lot of group projects but they're all very fun and interesting.

I took prof.Kwa in summer 07, and had the best time in class. Learned alot, we were on our toes on having our papers done, but she is easy to ask for help and forced you to talk to others in class which helped me get thru eng 120.

I took her class during summer '08. Kwa is very organize on her lesson plan. She has everything planned out since day 1 and all the assignments are all on the syllabus. So, you don't really miss out on the lesson when you miss class. She also precise on what she wants on the assignments. I got an A on this class and I work full time and have 2 kids

hmm mrs.rosemary.if u want to be creative about ur writing u could forget about it in her class..she pretty much tells u exactly what to write and gives u no options..shes a very hard grader..she starts making you write another essay before the 1st ones even finished..but if u do all the work and want a good grade then maybe ull get a B if ur lucky

She is a brilliant teacher, and at the level of Eng 120, she teaches very well. The reason why she has so many rules is because at this level, many students don't know how to write anyway. The attendance is mandatory, and 6 attendance means 100 points off which is great. It teaches you self-discipline and a lesson about earning what you want.

I believe that it is not Dr.Kwa's fault that all the students are lazy or rather ignorant on how to write essays. I discovered all my writing skills in her class. Dr. Kwa is a good teacher, she pretty much tells you exactly what to write in the essays, if you follow the discussions in class and do the group work then youll get an easy A. Her topics are kinda gruesome but very interesting. I recommend her.

Great teacher. Very clear explanations. Her class is theme based. You will analyze books, poems, movies based on a horror theme. examples- (Hannibal, The Raven). She tells you exactly what she wants on her assignments.The essays practically wright themselves. She is a bit tough on grading but gives great comments back. Hard work mandatory for A.

DR.KWA. since she has her phd. she's very educated and a good teacher. before i went into her class i didnt really know how to write a good essay and she's not at all a hard grader with essay. small quizes on VERBS and NOUNS really easy. just show up, dont talk too much, do a okay job you'll pass with a C.

Great professor! Her outlines are really heplful. No guessing games here when it comes to essays you know exactly what she wants. Not a walk in the park, but she is helpful and CLEAR. There is a research paper at the end of the class 15-16 pages that is a bit though but she helps with the process. Don't miss any classes, it will make th work harder

Dr. Kwa is extremely organized and clear while teaching. She makes her students feel very comfortable and has the most sweetest and respectful attitude. She is a tough grader though, so expect to work hard for an A or a B.

I took her hybrid class and it was a semi-difficult class because of it. We had to do two in-class essays and two outside class essays. She is detailed and helpful. She grades fairly. You have to really work hard on your essays if you want an A. Take her hybrid class if you are willing to work hard and you don't have time. Good professor.

Hybrid class was a cinch. Met in class one hour a week, the rest was online work. Maybe 4 essays the entire semester, which she makes you outline and do all the mundane prep work for.

@ 1st I was taken back by the HUGE syllabus & "workbook" but the organization was for the best! Dr Kwa is very organized, detailed, & helpful. Dr.Kwa is definitely not easy but you learn. She assigns a pile of homework which is useful because it helps you on your exams. I took a hybrid class with and it was super easy. I did not try at all since english 120 is non transferable. All I was aiming for was a C and thats what I got. She assigns a lot of hw but its pretty eassy. If you do the hw and write okay essays then there is no was you can fail her class.

OMG she is the best! I thought her class was going to be very hard since she assigns a lot of homework and makes you do essay after essay. I got a B only by doing all her homework and taking her feedback on my essays. If you don't like doing things at a fast passe don't take her. If you can handle a lot of work, you'll do perfect!

Took her for 120 and 104. Pretty hard to be honest. There's SOO much work. Essays are harshly graded and there's so much little things to do before actually turning in the essay. Both were hybrid by the way. She always cancels class. Got a B in both classes but I worked soo hard for it.

I took her for english 120 hybrid. One of the easiest classes I have ever taken. You write about three essays the entire semester. She's super sweet and a really nice teacher. She is open to questions. She grades essays a little tough HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dr. Kwa provides a thick syllabus and a course handbook that helped me get an A in the class. She does assign at least a couple of homework per week, but you will be thankful that she did. Writing your essays become so easy because of it. She's organized, and well-spoken. English was my least favorite class until I took her. I learned so much!

Dr. Kwa is a really great professor- she lays ALL of the homework and assignments out in a detailed syllabus and handbook, keeping up is easy if you just show up with assigned homework on time. All essays are based off of similar readings and one novel- the homework is easy but does take some thought. If you try, she will take note for sure.

I took Dr. Kwa for Eng 101 hybrid course in the Fall semester and boy did that class go by quick! What I love about Dr. Kwa was that she was very caring and cares about her students. She does give you a lot of essay work to do but you also get a lot of easy extra credit work online. The extra credit is really really easy so make sure to do them all

Dr. Kwa is a very solid teacher. If you want to learn, get your work done diligently and get an A for working hard, she is the teacher to take. Essays weekly, homework every week but you have a week or two to complete it. She is EXTREMELY clear on what and when something's due, and how to do it. Her feedback is helpful, she's a very nice person!

Overall a very good professor. The class grade is made up of 6 assignments and the final. 5 essays and a class presentation. Just make sure to do the outlines, write the essays ahead of time, and write what she wants to hear. also make sure to read the book she assigns because that contributes to the last essay of the class which is the biggest.

While there are many assignments to be completed the professor is very aware that people sometimes cannot make their deadlines. She is very understanding in all aspects and is very thorough when giving directions and giving feedback. I enjoyed my short time taking this class simply because of her willingness to help when needed.

I had professor Kwa for summer online session. Overall she is a good teacher. Her class is not hard. She opens all assignments at the beginning of the semester until end of the semester and also accept late works after due dates. Her bad side is that she grades very low and have a lot of assignments. And her research is 11-12 pages.

Very run of the mill English class because I took it online during the summer. She lets you still get full credit for an assignment turned in a day late which is very nice. She also makes you do these outlines which are essentially the essays separated into different parts which makes writing the actual essay later really easy.

Dr. Kwa is fairly easy if you put in the effort. The amount of work seems a lot especially with 4 essays, 1 research paper, and 1 report on a book. The essays are back to back, but she helps you by providing outlines and feedback to finalize your essay. By far, she is a great English professor I've taken.

I took her for 101 and decided to take her for 104. I'm aware of her teaching style and the amount of work she gives, so I'm not bothered by it. You have to write a total of 5 papers. She has outlines and discussions for them and it helps. Her 104 class is based on extreme sports, so be prepared to read a lot about it. Also, she grades on time.

Dr. Kwa is a great professor, her class consists of about 4 papers regarding the topic of the assigned book. As long as you read the book and put effort into the paper, you should be able to pass.

Critical thinking based on sports, a topic we all have experience with, was very familiar and easy to work with. The assignments to complete the final draft of the essay (discussion, outline chart) are also heavy, but her outline chart was very helpful.

Professor Kwa is absolutely amazing. She definitely cares about her students and only wants students to succeed. She is understanding of late work and allows for communication to clear any misunderstandings. She does give a lot of papers; however, her outlines make it almost impossible to not do well. TAKE HER, you won't regret it!!!

6 essays (Of those 6, one is a research paper and the other final exam). 5 discussions, 5 outlines (USE THIS FOR YOUR ESSAY, WILL SAVE YOU), two annotation assignments and that is pretty much all. From two of of the essays, not only will you need to reach the chapters chosen but also watch the movie with, and yes, it's free. Good professor as well.

4 essays + 1 research paper. Final was just a reflection paper. Allows assignments one day late and will give extension if you ask for it and actually need it. Grades fairly. I just didn't like how the whole theme of the class was about sports just cause I don't really care about it. For essays use her outline charts!

I found Professor Kwa's class very interesting and easy. She seemed very kind and passionate about surfing, as all the readings are connected to surfing and its history. She gives good feedback on the work and ways to improve. There are 4 short MLA essays, 3 class discussions, and one research paper at the end. Just do your best and you'll pass.

This class is purely online but still a really good teacher. You must purchase books however to pass the class. Do NOT use libgin on for the books you need. Most the essays were about surfing and its history. I thought it would be annoying but was actually very intriguing. You have one week to do 1 assignment which is amazing. 100% should take.

Professor Kwa's ENG101 class is an online course focused heavily on surfing. While the topic may not appeal to everyone, her feedback is valuable, and the assignments, though MLA-focused, are manageable. For study prep, unstuckstudy and ChatGPT proved helpful alongside the required readings.

Professor Kwa uses surfing as a way to tie in other topics (gender identity, societal norms, etc.) into the course and assignments. She provides outlines for her essays which helps a ton when you have writers block or maybe it's not a topic that appeals to you. Her class isn't hard as long as you do your part and keep up!!!

Her instructions are kind of unclear sometimes but it's a good class overall and she's a reasonable grader
