Now, yes he is a great teacher, makes you laugh, and is easy. But, he just has you memorize certain things for his test. If you are going into nursing or other health feilds...do not take it. It will not help you.

Wow, someone actually said something bad about Dr. Brightman. Those who feel they don't learn from him don't realize that they did learn things, it was simply a painless learning experience. He takes the time to teach you important points that can help you in the future (e.g. PCAT, MCAT) He does null details that are only important for brainiacs.

Brightman is awesome! IF you are taking anatomy and physiology at SPC, take Brightman. He adds a hilarious twist to anatomy that most other professors cannot. As with any other anatomy class, you have to study to get an A.

In all honesty, I'd recommend Dr. B to anyone who's seeking a professor that maintains your interest. However, I felt that his class was too easy and will not prepare me for med school. For those seeking a pro that will challenge you, I'd recommend lancraft. Although, I think that Dr B is an astounding prof. and deserves my respect. =)

He made the class fun, but it was hard. All the class is based on is tests. 3 tests and an optional final, I think if class work was involved it would be a less stressful course. But I am still taking him for anatomy 2, because he is amazing!

This is a difficult course! That said, Prof.B is like A&P 2 at the Improve. He is smart, fast, and funny. Still a lot of hard work, but at least with a smile. I would highly recommend Dr. B. P.S. get a digital voice recorder to record lectures. It will be worth it! Do not miss a class! Don't even think of texting during his class.

Really hard material. Don't think you can just memorize it. It is massive. Nice guy,wants you to pass. Use any library anatomy book to reinforce the material. Use the notes from angel for test.I wanted him for anat 2 but he's only doing lab.

Human Anatomy & Physiology is a General Ed course for many future medical students. However, Dr. Brightman makes the course much easier. Once you understand the lab, you will understand the notes, which makes easier memorization. He is very helpful and has an awesome sense of humor :D! Stay away from soccer moms = BAD study partners... Easy A!

Still going strong it seems. I had Dr. B in 1998, and it seems not much has changed with all these great ratings. I still recall talking about bacteria and viruses...as he said, when using a public restroom remember it is the 90's..so double it! As in put down as many layers of tissue as you can! Hilarious Prof. Makes it fun and easy to learn. Gives you mnemonics so you can remember the stuff. If you want the really in depth stuff, you have to ask, but he'll be happy to go into it. If you don't know much, i recommend the book so you can read to get everything, but it's expensive so shop around, also don't need exact edition. just close.

Dr. B Rocks! Uses mnemonics and trivia to keep you focused. Also preps you for Lab. Provides a great deal of support, and also challenges you to do well. Combine provided note cards with current lecture notes, review all provided tests and you should get an A. Need text for only reference and for lab. You MUST study!!! Great class! Love ya Dr. B!!

I can not put into words how great Dr. Brightman is. This is NOT an easy "A" class, but somehow he makes it bearable. He has an awesome teaching style (mneumonics and funny things to make it stick in your head). He gives you all the note cards, along with at least 3 prior "practice" tests. Put the time in, and you'll do great!

Class is always hilarious but it is a very hard class. If you study everyday for at least an hour you'll get an A, but if you fall behind your done. He will help you with anything and comes in the study room all the time.

There is no easy A here, but if you want to study hard and earn your grade with the help of a great professor, he is the one to take on. If you think his class will be easy think again! This is a pre-requisite for nursing after all.

Good teacher & funny! No book needed. He uses his own notes. This is not an easy class. Lots of material on the tests. He gives a review but there is always more stuff than you need to know for the test. The lab & field trips were interesting. You can use a cheat sheet for the lab but not the lecture. You have to study to pass the lecture tests.

By far the best! Took him for lecture & lab. Lecture consists of 3 tests and an optional final. Tests are spread out so you have ample time to study (almost a month between). Tests come from notes which are simple to understand. Uses jokes for you remember. Lab is quick. An hour MAX. Helps fill in the lab and lets you go. Ample time for practicals.

He is an excellent teacher who cares about his students. A&P is a hard class, and it should be, but he makes sure you have the tools to succeed, as long as you put in the work. All of his tests are from his lectures. He gives study cards to follow along on. Attend class, take good notes, study and you can get an A. He doesn't try to trick you.

Awesome teacher, he wants you to pass and makes that prety easy to do. As long as you attend class, pay attention to his notes, and study his note cards you'll do well. He makes class fun and you're actually willing to attend, it's actually more of a comedy hour, but you learn a lot.

I took brightman for both AP1 and AP2. Do NOT waste your money on any textbooks for his class. Attendance is not mandatory, but he does tell the people that do attend test questions and answers to try and "trick the skippers." Go to class enjoy his humor and study directly off his notecards. That's all I ever did and got an A in both classes.

Just like any science course, you will need to STUDY. There is no need to purchase the textbook. He has his own printable notes. Dr. Brightman is helpful, funny and extremely knowledgeable. He will even help students who are not enrolled in his class. No quizzes or assignments, just 3 exams & optional final. Questions are directly from his notes.

Dr. Brightman is one of the best professors I have had. He has a great appropriate sense of humor that keeps the students attention. He covers the material well in class and makes himself available for after class help. In addition he often visits the study room to see if students need help. His test are challenging, but straight forward.

Took him for A&P I and A&P II. Out of the four years I was at USF and the year 1 have been at SPC, he is the BEST professor I have EVER had! DEFINITELY print the note cards he post online and follow along those in lecture. Study those and know them, you will get an A. Has a really good way to help people memorize stuff. The notecards he has available to print are very helpful when following along with his lecture. The book is not required but is a helpful resource on more difficult material. He cares about his students and will help answer any questions. I had to study frequently to do well on the exams, which are the only grades you will get.

As a Doctor in Educational Leadership I was intrigued by his teaching practices and treatment of students. Dr. B has years of teaching experience and his motive to teach is to provide all tools needed for the success of his students. He will use proven teaching techniques and rely on his note cards rather than expensive textbooks. Take him.

He is always available during his office hours if you need one on one help. You can tell he cares if you pass. He has 3 exams and a final no quizzes. His notes are amazing! I recommend Dr. Brightman out of any of the anatomy professors! This is hard material so you do need to study but as long as you study the note cards you'll be golden!

Professor Brightman is the best. He's super funny. I loved his lectures and labs. He's clear about what to expect on the tests and practices. Always available for help if you need it. If you study the notecards and lab packets you'll get an A.

You have notecards that'll basically help you get an A in the class. His wording can sometimes be tricky, but if you get the hang of it, or just really study throughout and memorize the cards like the back of your hand, you'll do fine. Also, if you get more interested in certain areas, he's willing to tell you what you want to know during his hours

Dr. Brightman makes you study only the most important things, there are no millions of slides and hundreds pages per chapter. You will need to study of course, just not every word from the book.

First and foremost, Brightman is hilarious. Second, he is hilarious. Third, he his extremely clear about what is and what is not relevant. If you're a pre-nursing student looking for a professor that you will learn a lot of applicable A&P knowledge from, keep looking. He tells you what's on the tests and basically lets the class make them.

So if you are taking anatomy and you want to really truly understand the course, not just memorize information from note cards. He definitely is hilarious and the course is an incredibly easy A if you have a good memory.

Out of my three years in College Dr. Brightman was 100% the best professor I have had. He makes class fun by joking around and really getting to know his students. I am currently taking Dr. B for A&P I & I absolutely LOVE this prof.! Highly recommend him for A&P. If I needed to take A&P II, I would have taken him again! Lectures are lectures but he literally cracks a joke every few mins & its actually upon the subject. Makes lectures bearable. All 3 tests come directly from his notes. I have an A currently!

Prof Brightman is THE BEST teacher EVER! Sign up for his class at midnight when it opens or you won't get in! There is no reason not to get an A/B in his class because he gives you study guides with all the answers, so just study! Only 3 exams. Dr. Brightman is the best A&P professor of SPC, and probably the best of the schools around. I love going to class to learn, because he makes learning so exciting that I hate to miss his lectures. His method of teaching makes learning much smoother, that I don't even feel the time pass while he's lecturing, even though this is a hard class to take.

Took Brightman both lecture and lab and he's an awesome professor! A&P in general is a very hard class, but yet he makes it so easy and fun. The only thing in lecture is no extra credit just pure lecture and 3 exams, finals is up to you and your grade. Lab, is awesome quiz every week and that's it. I will take him again if I can.

Professor Brightman is a great teacher to take for AP1 & 2. These classes include taking him for lab as well. The courses themselves are difficult but he teaches it in a way that makes it easy to memorize the material. The class is by no means a cake walk, though he's a great teacher, you have to put in the study time or you will not do well.

I've taken Brighten for AP1 & 2, both lecture and lab. He's great at what he does, very entertaining classes in the time I spent taking them. The material is difficult but he breaks it down into a way where it makes it a bit easier to understand and memorize. A lot of memorization for labs! Be prepared to study and you'll be fine!

There really isn't enough room for me to talk about how great Mr. Brightman is. He's very kind and hilarious and his lectures are very clear and interesting. His classes fill up so quickly so its hard to get him, but he really cares about you succeeding and all of his material is organized so its really easy to pass his quizzes and exams. Dr. B is one of the BEST professors I have had since my start at SPC. He makes learning the subject very easy & is always willing to stay after the zooms to help in any way he can. I can honestly say I wish he taught every class I had to take! I have to say he really is awesome and I actually learned the subject and it made sense to me!

Dr. Brightman made the use of the textbook obselete with note guides, saving me a good amount of money. The lectures were interactive and hilarious. I took him for AP1 and will be taking him again in the fall for AP2. He is always willing to adapt and hear his students out. The workload is very light but makes sure you understand the material.

I had an online class, Professor B was amazing. He set up zoom meetings although it was not required, attendance for this made a difference in the grade. He makes it so you understand what you studying. If you attend his Zoom he will go over everything you need to know for the tests, if you don't you are on your own to learn the material.

Professor B is a great teacher, he set up zoom (not mandatory) meetings for those who learn better this way. He also goes over everything you need for the test. I suggest you attend the meetings. He is funny and caring and responds to email quickly.

Prof Brightman has his own style. He will tell you exactly what he wants you to know for the exams, but you will have to study. He has a mnemonic or catch phrase for EVERYTHING and at first they seem weird and unrelated to the subject, but then it burrows in your brain until you make the association and somehow it works. He's so funny and weird.

Professor Brightman is amazing! I took him for physiology lecture. He gives you study guides that are very straight forward and are identical to the test. As long as you study what he tells you to, then you'll make a good grade. Attendance is not mandatory but you should go. He gives you tips and tricks and tells you exactly what is on the test.

He has all of his notes available online and they're short, but detailed with exactly what you need to know. He made nightclass worth it, even though it seems inconvenient, he comes up with funny analogies in class which helped me in the end. You are graded on three on about the exams with an optional open up final. Learn material = pass.

He made A&P 1 very easy and cracked lots of jokes. He gives very clear study guides and all grades come from 3 exams. No textbook, optional final exam (after the 3), and one of the exams is open note. All material is accessible online, even recorded zoom lectures. He makes it difficult to fail, as long as you're paying a little attention. 100/10!

I am sooo glad I took A&P 1 and lab with Dr. Brightman! He has short prerecorded lectures and notes that have everything you will need to succeed in the class as long as you STUDY. He is very straight forward and helps you remember the information by giving helpful mnemonics in the videos.

Professor Brightman is a personable and funny guy. His ZOOM videos on his online class are essentially what to focus on. He provides notes - and tests are based on his notes that he provides. Only four exams, which two were not proctored. I would have had an A if I studied for the first exam - so the B is on me.

He is good at responding to emails and I was lucky to have him as my A&P lecture professor. You do not need a textbook for his A&P class, however it may be helpful to have one regardless. I 100% recommend taking the A&P 2 lab (and lecture) with Dr. Brightman. He responds very quickly to emails and is always very nice. Study the note cards. There are 3 practicals (2 of them proctored) and 9 quizzes, all of which come straight from the notes, so study a lot!!!

Unstuckstudy AI was a game-changer for my prep, complementing the instructor's top-notch videos and notes. Attendance is a must, but it's worth it to get his helpful mnemonics and test-taking tips.

I really enjoyed Dr. B's class. He is very clear about the information he really wants you to learn, he has a good sense of humor, and he has his own ways to really hammer the information in. The class is only graded from 3 (with an optional 4th) exams. So in order to receive a good grade you have to perform well on them. Exam 1&3 are proctored.

Very easy lab, i took it completely online. It is 9 quizzes and 3 practicals. All of the

I can't believe what some students have said below. They didn't even get the number of proctored tests correct (2 out of 4).He has prerecorded zooms for each chapter, outlined notes notecards practice tests Online means that you are "learning" on your own with the above resources. If you can't do his class - good luck in a health field!

I love this professor he is so funny and makes you not forget his lecture by throwing in some jokes. i loved this class and i'm sad the semester is over. one thing i will say is that this class only had four total assignments (exam 1-3 and the final) which makes it hard to get your grade back up if its low.

Prof. Brightman is an amazing professor, I took his lecture online but he was willing to call me to let me know what answers I got wrong on my exams and what to study. Class is test heavy, 3 exams + 1 optional, 2 proctored 2 nonproctored is your entire grade so as long as you study it is an easy A or B. He is very clear on expectations and funny.

I essentially did not touch the class until exam week, crammed the week of, and did just fine. Would take again

Professor B is a really laid back teacher. I took him for lecture and lab. His lecture was really straight forward. Take lots of notes. His lab was also straight forward. Everything he teaches you WILL be on those exams. Nothing more and nothing less. It is up to you to study. He is also really helpful and kind. I would take him again.

I was originally very nervous to take this class but Dr. B is amazing. I'm usually not the type of person to learn from PowerPoints so his engaging lectures helped me a lot. However, the course is only graded off of 3 multiple choice exams and an optional final. 2 of the 3 are proctored, so make sure to study as much as you can.

He is serious about his lockdown that I ended up having to take his first test twice, and when I end up having a higher score than my initial scoree, he just revert it back to my initial score. Good experience overall just unfortunate circumstance.

Although Brightman was not my A&P1 lecture professor he let me audit his class all semester. His teaching style is seriously Top-Tier!! Without his support I would not have passed my lecture course with an A+. I would definitely recommend taking any available classes of his.
