Very good professor. Likes his students and likes to joke around alot in class. Very easy to understand his teaching and gives example problems that are very similar to what will be on the test.

Ross is the best teacher I have ever had. Take him if you want a teacher that is going to break his back for you and make sure you know the material. He truly cares about his students, and he makes class fun. Just don't plan on getting any sympathy if he grades the tests after the Yankees lose.

If you ever see his name on the list GET HIM! The best teacher I ever had for math, and plus he is cool not like other jackass math teachers. Teaches very well and very social to the students. The best thing he wants you to pass his class with a good grade, so you have a high chance of passing.

Ross is the greatest professor I have ever had, and i am not just talking about math professors. He cares for his students and is really wants all his students to pass. You can really tell he knows the material. He is a genius and a great person.

Easy class; not enough preparation for the next one. Great guy, great intentions, passed but didn't know much more than when I started.

I had Ross for 270 and having him for 301 is great. The material is damn hard but my fellow students that have taken 301 with other professors have said that Ross explains everything better. My class is his first for teaching 301 but he probably won't teach it during a semester. Take this class in the summer.

If you have to take a Science 101 **** class, take his. Easy is an understatement. He doesn't make you buy a book or even work at all, unlike some of the other Science 101 teachers. Great guy, you can really tell that he genuinely cares about you and how you're doing.

Ross is the Man! He like most UL profs will do all he can to help you learn if you actually show that you want to learn! My Fav Math Prof yet, he even helped me with my DE this Semester and he isn't even teaching it right now. good sense of humor in class, heck usually a class like this would be down to 1/2 by now but peeps keep showin up. I am a math ed major. He is my favorite math teacher I have taken in high school and college. He explains well, and tests reflect what's covered in class. Above all, he is hilarious, made calculus fun, great discussions, very interesting guy!

ross is a very good teacher however he's not very clear when explaining so it makes it hard for some students to comprehend. however i enjoy math so it was easy for me to understand. all in all ross is an awesome teacher and very helpful. he is always looking for a way to help his students pass.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! A very smart man who obviously hates it when someone in his 302 class can't fiqure out something in math that's simple. He is also very funny and a really nice guy. The best teacher I have ever had! Test are easy if you pay attention and don't make dumb mistakes. Notes are very clear and in depth. Didn't I say he was funny?

He is a great teacher. As long as you do homework, and ask questions you will pass. Plus he is willing to work with you on your grade if you talk to him about it.

Best UL math teacher. Everyone in his class loves him, his is great and willing to help anyone at anytime. Every test question is pulled unchanged, straight from homework and notes.(Atleast for my class) He pulls NO bull on tests, and is the best teacher Ive had in life period. This class isn't easy. I did well in 109 and struggled in this class. However, he is very helpful if you go and ask him for help.

Great teacher. Very willing to help you if you need help or any questions. Young guy that jokes around with students that helps it become more confortable in the class atmosphere. Has about 5 tests during the semester, not including the final. study your tests for the final and make sure u correct your tests when he gives them back to you. Get him!

All in all just a great guy. Goofy and funny. He makes the class enjoyable and I HATE math! Help is offered but doesn't pity you if you don't try. Only natural. He is clear in teaching however he doesn't walk you through it. So, you need to kind of know what you're doing.

This guy is great! I feared and dreaded calc before his class but he was encouraging, kept the mood light and instilled his passion for math to his students. After 4 other math teachers here, he has been the best!

Coolest teacher at ULL! Dude knows his stuff and knows how to keep a relaxed mood! He's hilarious and intelligent at the same time. Class is fairly easy,and he sometimes gives retests to help your grade out. He also drops the lowest test score. Test questions straight from homework. Love this guy.

This class is pretty hard, but he tries his best to simplify it. He uses homework problems for the test, and even tells you which ones to focus on. If you do your homework every night, you will pass.

Great teacher. Loves yams! If you do your homework you may still have to go to his office but he is more than willing to help and explains the text in terms that are easy to understand. I highly recommend this professor even if you are not so good at math.

I have Ross for Calculus 2 now and he is great. He is the best teacher I have had at UL. He keeps the class environment very open so that you are not intimidated to ask question. It is sad that this site allows idiots like the last guy to make bad comments about Ross. Do your homework and you will pass.

Don't listen to that other reviewer; he/she is just a disgruntled student who failed the class because he/she was retarded. Also, he/she apparently can't spell: "testes" not equal to "tests." Lol! Wasn't my professor, but tutored me in Math 100. Very helpful, and very clear. Definitly knows how to TEACH math to someone who doesn't understand it.

Three words. ROSS IS BOSS. You will love him, he is extremely funny and is very good at memorizing all of his students' names and faces for the semester. He really cares about his students doing well and gets aggravated if people talk a lot, don't do the homework, or fail tests. He's awesome. Helps you out significntly if you do not understand

Dr. Chiquet is the finest professor at the university. Did not have him as a teacher, but as a tutor. I recommend him to anyone. Ross makes math fun!

This was my favorite teacher so far. He is nice and tries to help you understand it. If you do your homework the test problems are basically the exact same thing. He is also pretty funny in a way. I for surely would recommend.

Ross is very good. He is extremely fair with his test and even goes so far as to tell you the questions that will be on the test, which are taken right from the homework. The text book sucks, but Ross does his best to make it understandable.

He's a really great professor. I thought I was barely going to scrape by with a C (I'm pretty bad at math). I made an A in the class and I understood the material. He wants to see everyone do well. Take notes, study a little, you'll do fine.

This professor is one of the most awesome individuals I've ever met. He loves his job and is always extremely willing to help his students. Calc 2 is a beast of a class but if you have to take it, do so with him. He's also hilarious.

He is by far the best Mathematics teach I have ever had! As long as you do the homework and ask questions for review, you will have no problem passing the class. He is easy to understand and explains himself very clearly. He will stop mid explination and make sure you understand before he continues. The only bad thing is he LOVES wiley plus.

Great teacher, keeps class fun and interesting. Test are hard and he grades hard. Doesn't curve or give bonus points but it's worth the experience.

Ross is the perfect blend of light-hearted fun teacher, and a teacher that pushes you to grasp the material, and goes through any lengths to do so. No curve. He is not a teacher that tries to "trick you" on exams - rather, his exams are only to give you the opportunity to prove that you know what you're doing. I don't know what more I could want.

GREAT professor. MATH 301 is a tough class, but his teaching style and personality makes it easy, interesting, and (a little) fun.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Ross is one of the best math teachers at UL alongside Scotty Sorrell. He explains everything in detail and ensures that the class understands the material before moving on. He's very helpful outside of class as well. His tests are very reasonable, but he grades hard. Also very funny and lighthearted, which makes his class fun.

Ross is awesome, he's definitely among the top faculty in the math department. Class was pretty straightforward and clear. If you did all the assigned homework, the tests were cake...he doesn't try to trick people. Final exam was optional, at least it was for this class (Linear Algebra)...cannot speak for his other classes. Take him if you can!

Great man who prob has the highest pass rate in CALC II which was great! But a lot of us didn't really understand the math cause the tests were pretty much identical to h/w so you can just memorize steps. Whatever I'm happy with my B. But, if you want to actually understand it to use it in later classes, i hate to say it but get another professor

Exceedingly nice guy. Very understanding and helpful. The tests didn't always have exactly what he said they would, so it's a good idea to know more than what's covered in class and on homework. Still, was a relatively easy class.

Ross is the boss. Best teacher i ever had. Not the easiest but he made you learn the material.Over a year after taking DE, i can still solve problems.ALWAYS do the homework. He will put the harder homework questions on the test. They will be the same, if not very close.if your a lamedog and dont do your homework, you will miss those problems.

Ross is the boss. He's amazing. You can tell he totally loves math and teaching it, and he truly cares about his students! Many students stay connected with him after taking his classes. He'll give homework from the book and assign WileyPlus work. His lectures are very good, but sit in the middle of the room at the front if you can.

Honestly there's no better professor at this school. He's always there for students and somehow manages to head the whole math department as well. If you go to class, do your homework and go to him for help there's no reason you shouldn't get an A. If only he taught some of the other difficult engineering classes!

Ross is a very funny and nice guy that does what he can to help his students succeed. He's clear about what's on the exams, he takes it slow to accommodate students, and he's always available and happy to help with course work.

One of the best math teachers at UL along with Sorrell! Makes the lectures as simple as possible and engaging as well. Doesn't throw any surprises on his tests, as long as you do the book hw and wiley plus and review his notes you will be in good shape for the tests. Definitely take him if you can!

Very very good teacher in all aspects and is extremely understanding

I had Dr Ross for the quarantined class. He gave us a checklist to complete before each test. So long as you completed the checklist and communicated to him what your questions were, you'd pass. He'd answer questions in Layman's terms, which I appreciated. The previous commenter didn't understand that as they'd apparently dropped the class.

This guy had a rough time, he had just been in an accident and still showed up to class. He was a real treat to listen to. His tests were very similar to his homework. Definitely would take it again.

Dr. Ross is an amazing professor who has gotten out of his administration position to directly teach students. Very funny and light hearted guy who does not miss class for anything. So far he is my favorite professor out of everyone I have met. I am taking him again for calc II and I hope he follows me through the rest of my courses to teach me.

Quick grader, hilarious, 95%+ means no final. Please engage in class for it to be entertaining, he is amazing. Take Ross any chance you can, Ross over Sorrell & Zito any day. Make a study group & go to class. Makes it as easy as possible for you, it's up to you to study and take advantage of the material he hands you. Gives you worksheets pre-tests

It is very difficult to get extra credit, but if you show up to class every day and visit him during office hours, you should not need it. He is caring and wants you to pass. Very easy to have conversations with, and a very funny and lighthearted teacher. Calc II was not an easy class, but if you do his homework you can definitely pass the tests.

Dr. Ross is simply the man. He is very straightforward with his lectures and clearly outlines what he expects you to know for the exams. On top of that, he is hilarious and charming which makes class enjoyable. I would recommend him 100/100 times to anyone, just a great guy and an even better teacher.

Professor Chiquet is one of the best math instructors around. Calculus 2 can be tough, but his engaging lectures and helpful office hours make the material straightforward. Using unstuckstudy alongside the free textbook was a lifesaver for study prep.

His slides are very helpful and the material is very easy. Very straight forward class and light workload. Tests are very easy and exactly as he tells you they are. Dr. Ross is very caring and will work with you to make sure you pass. He is not there to fail people just make sure you know the material. Most caring professor I have had at ULL.

Dr. Ross is a great professor. Super chill, easy to talk to, and really cares about his students. He explains things clearly and takes the time to make sure everyone's on the same page. Dr. Ross is a great professor. This class is definitely not easy but if you pay attention in class and ask questions when you are confused, you'll do fine. The homework and textbook are on Wiley. Do the homework/practice problems on his slides. Even though they are not for a grade, they make the tests 1000x easier.

I took Ross last semester and loved him. This class was extremely easy, and all of the tests were open-note and based on the slides that he posts on Moodle. If you read the slides and have a general understanding of the people/content in the slides, you'll do great.
