Ross is one of my favorite teachers to have at HPU! From his jokes to his real world practical lessons, I always looked forward to going to negotiations. If you're late though, make sure you have a good joke ready.

I am this first professors collegiate class, teaching a senior last semester elective. I think he did a great job earning respect from us as a class and bringing in a lot of real-life scenarios considering he currently works in a field that includes a lot of negotiations. Prof brings real experience to the classroom and makes each class unique. He is easily approachable and easy to learn from. Make sure to study for quizzes and participate. Each negotiation and strat plan is graded to be sure to do that.

If you're more of a hands-on learner this class is great for you. The negotiations are a fantastic way for us to apply our classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, and if you think you're a poor negotiator to begin with, I think you'd be surprised at the progress you can make in a matter of weeks. I loved taking his Marketing class. He is one of the most relatable teachers I have taken yet. There is a heavy focus on a group project that's worth 25% of your grade but if you pay attention in class and do the work the project is easy. He was by far my favorite professor and his course was the one of the only ones I've taken that I feel completely and directly applies to the real world (and life after graduation). One of the most insightful classes I have taken at High Point University even though the class was at 6:45 pm. Professor O'Donvan makes class entertaining and chill while teaching us concepts the right way. A big plus about this class is the man got a shit ton of real-world experience, he relates lots of the concepts to his past work experiences.

He is a really good professor, he gives weekly quizzes on the readings, and only gives about 4 tests throughout the semester. You do have a large group project that is due a few weeks after the midpoint of the semester. He lives off the saying don't bs a bs'er. Read and review before quizzes and the course will be fine.

He is a great guy who can come off as a bit tough, but wants you to succeed and do well. You will need to do strat plans before every negotiation which isnt hard at all. The more prepared you are the better you will do in the class. If you leave the room or come in late you need to tell that class a joke so be prepared to do that too.

Only negatives I have about the class is that sometimes the quizzes could be pretty hard even when I studied a good amount and he often calls on you randomly during class.
