-Attendance matters! -Read the book so you can participate in class. -The first week I was hesitant to stay in the class, but by the next week it had become my fav class. By far one of the best Professors I've had. - weekly quizzes, small presentation, group presentation, 3 tests: all not bad as long as you read the book and put effort in.

Professor O'Donovan is one of my favorite professors I've ever had! He does a great job explaining the course content using his personal, real-world experience. Attendance and participation matter but presentations and current event discussions help break up the class so it's not so lecture-heavy. I recommend this class to anyone who is considering

Professor O'Donovan is a solid marketing professor at NC State. Although the class was at 8:30am, he did a phenomenal job ensuring the lectures were engaging and informative. There are chapter quizzes on Connect, 1 group case study assignment, and a brand presentation. The grading criteria is very well defined, and Professor O'Donovan stuck to it.

He seems to really care about engaging students in the class which at first is a bit stressful but as the class goes on it honestly makes the class a lot more enjoyable to be at. Test are fairly easy if you study and review the material he has gone over in class. Overall, a really great professor and if you show up you'll make a good grade.

Although the tests were a bit difficult for me, the rest of the class was one of my favorites i've taken at state so far. This professor has one of the best lecture atmospheres i've ever experienced as he keeps the class very engaged by randomly calling on you. You must read and keep up with the topics to participate. Overall, this course was good. He was very prepared for class and knows a lot about retail. The course was mainly through connect, which I personally think is not the best structure for a 400 level class. Although he tries to be funny, some of his comments are out of line. I would recommend taking this class if you don't mind reading the book.

Ross is a good professor, he can just be a little snippy sometimes. He was very funny and engaging, but I feel that he could be a little unprofessional sometimes. He expects you to come prepared for class having already read and understood the chapters, but that's honestly not too bad. Overall, I'd say he's a good teacher, just not my favorite.

At times it feels more like a conversation than a lecture which is beneficial and more engaging as a student. O'Donovan is overall a good professor. He is a strong presenter who demands your attention, so be ready to get called on at any time. READ the Smartbook chapter ahead of class each week! Take notes on the chapters too, because the slide shows are bad. Attendance is mandatory. Grading is easy to understand with lots of extra credit opportunities.

Ross is super fun and engaging; his lectures can be somewhat off-script from the book, though the connect quizzes and exams are based on the material in the books and a little from the lecture slides. For BUS 465 Brand Promotion. Every class is a discussion, not necessarily a lecture. It keeps you entertained and laughing always. Theres a semester long project and two exams but very straight forward. He'll know you by name and cares how you do.

His teaching style is engaging and easy to follow. He doesn't use a textbook, which I appreciated, because he creates all of his own materials and explains concepts using real-world examples that actually make the lessons more interesting. There isn't a lot of busywork, and as long as you show up to class and pay attention, you'll do well.

Really nice guy that cares a lot about what he is teaching you. He calls on every student so if you do not want to speak in class not your guy. He calls on you more if you look uninterested in what he is saying. He grades fairly in my opinion but you have to know what he is looking for and that takes time. Participation is 25% of your grade.

He is a pretty cool professor overall. Was the first time he had taught this course so it may be different in the coming semesters, but I felt like I learned. He will randomly call on you in class so focus, tests aren't super hard as there is only 1 midterm and final but basically told us what was going to be on the midterm. Lots of projects tho.

Since you are required to take this course for marketing Majoris I would've assumed it would have been harder but since it was his first time teaching it I don't think it was as hard as it is supposed to be. Professor O'Donovan is amazing! He is very knowledgeable and presents the material in a clear, engaging way. He ties everything to real examples, and his explanations make the course feel meaningful and directly applicable to real-world situations.

Fantastic at breaking down complex research concepts and making them easy to follow. His teaching style is organized, clear, and supportive, and he really helps you understand how to apply marketing research in the real world. You can tell he loves what he does and genuinely wants his students succeed. Professor O'Donovan is amazing!

He is one of my favorite professors and I feel like I've actually learned a lot in this class. His lectures are super engaging and interesting. However, prepare to say a joke if you're late to class and he doesn't give rubrics or tell you why he takes points off of your grade.
