Really cares about his students. Is always available outside of class to help on HW or textbook questions. Gives great feedback for speeches and gives it to you how he sees it so you can improve after every speech.

Loved the experience of having Professor D - gives good feedback. Wants you not only to do well in his class but learn techniques to become a better person too. I am going to be better off for taking COM110.

I loved the way Mr.D would give's his lectures, very clear about them and he would also answer any questions you had. He cares about his students and I definitely would recommend him to anyone planning to take a communications course.

Mr D is a really cool professor. I hated the amount of papers though, more than my eng101 class. He does a great job with lecture and making you think outside of the box, but be ready to write and write and write. If he took away even 1/4 of the papers he would of had 5 and level 2 difficulty. He does make himself available and does give EC to help

Mr.D is the type of professor who cares about his students, and makes sure he gets to know each and one of them. He has a clear overview of what his class will be like, and gives the best constructive criticism in order to help your work grow. I would take his class all over again, he is the best com teacher for you.

Professor D has a way of making everyone feel very comfortable in his classes. We were always able to openly discuss any topic. He also always gave very helpful and clear feedback for improvement. The work isn't bad unless you save it for the very last minute. Also was very inspiring, definitely learned and changed a lot!

Professor D is really nice and teaches the subject clearly with many real life examples. He might make you work a bit for your grade a bit but you can tell its because he cares about you learning and being able to apply the things he teaches to your life. You wont regret taking his class! Ill be recommending him a lot now

I recently finished taking his course for COM110 and his class is very easy. He doesn't give lots of homework if anything it'll be a 5 question quiz after lecture. He uses great real life examples to help learn more and answers all questions you may have. explained concepts clearly and would recommend his class.

I took his public speaking class and Professor D had a real positive impact on me throughout the semester. He gives feedback and uploads grades within the same day often right after class. There were lots of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester so there really isn't a reason not to pass his class. I would highly recommend!!

Is an exemplary teacher he is very genuine and seems to really care for students as a good teacher should! Always enthusiastic about teaching and its a fun class despite it being a college class. You learn new interesting things and teaches it in a way that doesnt bore you.

Professor Duncan has been truly inspirational. I am a student who has come out of the system and had a learning curve with technology and how to use the Canvas app that the school does. He helped me through all that and talked to me whenever I would get stressed out. Taking his class gave me the skills needed to change relationships with my family.

Professor R. Duncan is an exceptional teacher, lecturer and very knowledgeable within his field! He was attentive to all of us, caring and motivational as well. Class was fun, group projects included and very open discussions. Class was moved to online platform during C-quarantine, but he made it fun and interesting nevertheless! Recommend!

Professor D. as we commonly called him was a very fun instructor, he makes students focus on the lesson while in and out of class by reminding us of the next topic and quiz to come. He is accessible outside of the class. He gives feedback as soon as possible when he is contacted. But he was clear with us that he follows the clear grading criteria

Lectures are different and never a dull moment, I can honestly say that this class, with Professor D was an experience and I learned so much from it. Really good teacher. I took an online summer class and we had lots of homework since it was a 4-5 week class but as long as you do it and follow the rubric you will pass. HIs rubric is clear so its easy to do the work correctly. Gives extra credit opportunities and really good and thoughtful feedback.

Professor D has been the greatest professor I have ever had I'm not even joking. This was my first semester online and I was scared I would not be successful but to my surprise I haven been and I like to give credit to Professor D! If you take his lectures listen to his podcasts, they are entertaining and also very informative!

The class isn't hard if you keep up with the assignments, and you can tell he designs the class so it's not so much hard, but so you actually grow and become more knowledgeable about communicating. There's tons of extra credit and he's always available outside of class for any reason. Don't pass this professor up!

Prof D. turned out to be the favorite professor that I've had. When you turn in an assignment he READS IT and gives you plenty and specific feedback. You can tell he really cares about what you have to say. You only get 1 (ONE) late pass to turn in an assignment late, choose wisely because anything else will be a 0 no exceptions pretty much.

Professor D was an awesome teacher. I had to do an online class due to COVID but he still made it engaging and fun. He really is passionate about what he teaches and as long as you do the assignments you will pass his class. He does give a lot of homework; assignments due every 2-3 days but they are not difficult and really are your point of view.

Online class with about 4-5 assignments due weekly. Lots of work but most of it is reflection-style so its not hard to get an A if you keep up with it. Prof D gives a TON of feedback on assignments so you can tell hes passionate and he cares. Also gives loads of extra credit opportunities. Put in effort and youll do great!

Professor Duncan, or Professor D as he likes to be called, is an invigorating teacher who will tell you in the beginning that he wants his classes to be engaging and not just textbook work. He asks questions that probe your mind with questions for a discussion post. He gives examples of what he wants you to write in case it's hard to understand.

Professor D. was an amazing teacher. I highly recommend this class!!! You will not be disappointed. I learned a lot about my own communication style and how to effectively communicate with others. His lectures are inspirational and enjoyable. Do the work and you will benefit tremendously!!!

I have taken 3 classes with this professor, he is the best I have had. He gives lots of detail when grading each assignment and gives you some inspirational messages. He is open-minded and calm and caring. He does make you work for it though. There is homework every week but not too much to be overwhelmed. A few papers, discussions, and quizzes.

Professor Rowdy is an excellent professor, You learn a lot from him and He gives you a quick feedback and he is very respectful. It was an online and summer class, but he makes sure he gives an example that will make you understand what he wants you to do. I definetly recommend his class.

Amazing class and amazing professor. In the beginning of his class he lets you know all the assignment you will be doing and the dates they will be due by. Assignments are super easy to follow and if you have any questions he is very easy to reach. You do have chances throughout the class to earn extra credit.

Be organized! The start of the class is very fast-paced, and you will have lots of work to do. You can easily ruin your grade if you don't keep up. Professor is a tough grader but does give helpful feedback. As long as you show that you at least understand the chapter material, you'll be good.

Great teacher

This isn't your typical class, but he's a great professor. What's expected of you is made clear with feedback provided. Participation is basically your homework, although there are reading and quizzes with a few papers... The format is more like a seminar than the typical listening to a single person speak.

This was a great class. He has activities and PowerPoints that keep us engaged. He encourages participation and gives us the opportunities to ask questions about how we can approach problems in our life using effective communication skills. Not a difficult class if you put in effort. Let him know about questions/concerns and he will help you.

He is always super quick with giving feedback on assignments. When things need to be corrected, he tells you exactly what needs to be done. He gives examples on full point submissions in order to help you. I wish I could take him as a teacher all the time!

This is a great class to take if you need to get a communication credit without having to worry about public speaking. The work is pretty easy, just a lot of reading and writing involved. There are extra credit opportunities if you miss some assignments.

COM263 is a very fast paced class. There is a lot of homework but as long as you read the book and do the work, you will be fine. All the homework is detailed and in the rubric. Professor D had homework graded the same day you turned it in. Very Nice! Would love to have him teach all my other communications classes.

Rowdy Duncan has perfected the online class. Video lectures are all online. Grading is fair and straightforward. Tests questions are direct from the text, but writing assignments ask you to apply what you've learned to your life. Feedback on assignments is thoughtful and personal. You will get as much out of this class as you put in to it.

Professor Duncan is one of the best instructors I ever had. the lectures are clear and easy to understand. I used to hate COM and English class. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed this class.

Professor D includes an audio podcast file that goes along with each lecture. He is easily accessible and gives insightful feedback. His homework assignments would take some time, but they were engaging and actually pretty fun.

I had an amazing time, and there was a lot of extra credit for the class, so there was no need to worry about my grade and even then, there was very little work to complete. He is excellent who gives extra credit work throughout the semester. His feedback is a lot, but he is very detailed and willing to help you out! He does require a textbook. Initially, he gives a ticket to turn in late work once without losing points. You can turn it in at the end of the term if you have yet to use it for extra credit.

I am not a fan of online classes and was hesitant to take this course because it is hybrid. All my worries quickly went away. Professor D provides in person lectures, podcasts, slides, youtube videos. Assignments are self-reflective, easy to get in "A"(as long as you put in the work). Professor D is amazing!
