If you are really serious about being a teacher she is the BEST math teacher to have. She will make sure that you understand the material. She emails you back right away. If you pay attenchen and do the homework you can do really well in the class.

I took her for MAT 156 and 157 and I love her! She is so funny and adorable. She makes sure everyone understands her, and that all her assignments are thoroughly explained. Go to class, do the work, and study at least a little for the test and you will do just fine.

You'll LOVE this teacher! She is very clear & when you don't understand something, she will do everything in her power to help you understand!! She loves what she does, which helps, and she really gives you an opportunity to love it too! There are a few projects that tend to sneak up on you, but don't procrastinate & you will do well in the class!

AMAZING teacher One of the best teachers at MCC. It is obvious she loves her job. It is a little work though. No book just course compass and a few projects. Pay attention in class and review a little before the test and you will be fine. She made me want to be a Math teacher.

Professor Klassen is a wonderful professor and really loves math. Nice to see a professor who loves what she is doing. Math is hard but she does her best to make it as easy as possible. A lot of homework but that is how math works. Do your homework and when it comes to test and final exam time you'll be set.

I wish I could give this wonderful woman a higher rating. Her teaching method is amazingly effective, but she will not do the work for you. You put in a tiny bit of effort and you will do fine. I could have easily achieved an A if I had done all the online quizzes. Not only did I pass, I fully understand the material and can move on to MAT120.

Wonderful, passionate about subject, friendly, and involved. Go to the class, pay attention, just do the work on time and you'll do great! She's BIG on spelling-it's important for future teachers anyway. Pretty much the thing I missed the most on in my tests was my spelling. It's most important to know HOW you got the answer and be able to explain.

This class was not an "easy" class there is work that has to be done and two big projects but Roxanne does a GREAT job at teaching. She works with you one on one to make sure that you understand the work. She does not mess around so if you are looking for a professor to look away when you don't do the homework or don't show up find another class.

Mrs. Klassen is awesome I had her for 097 and requested her for 122 because of how helpful she was. It can be difficult to catch up if you miss class. If you ever do not understand something she will work with you until you do. She's very nice but she is not a pushover. If you want to pass, attend class, ask questions, and ask her for help.

One of the best teachers I've had. I took the accelerated class, we had to cover two sections a day sometimes 3. But she made sure I never fell behind.

She was very easy to work with any question I had. She would not give you the answer, but hunt at the steps to take in order to make it.

She is a good teacher and know so much about teaching future teachers how to teach math. However her tests are hard and they cover a lot of information. Get ready to explain your answers and not just solve the math problem. I did learn a lot from her class, she is a good teacher and she's hilarious.

Mrs. K is the best. She was always so availed and helpful. Her class is very fast pace but she is such an amazing teacher, I actually enjoyed ing to her class she is hilarious and makes it fun. Roxanne has been my favorite teacher at MCC so far. She is supportive, engaging, really knows her stuff. If you blow off her class, she won't save you. If you work, she will help you achieve greatness. She does some online and some paper HW, and expects you to keep things in a binder for reference - and she checks it.

Don't expect one of her classes to be an easy A. She is a great teacher, and will sit down and meet with you if you need any help though. Very tough grader. If you make the slightest mistake, she will dock you points. Overall if you do the homework, and study for the tests you should be fine. Oh and follow the rubric exactly for the projects!

Very good teacher. She loves what she does and is very organised. You MUST show up for class. Online and paper homework. Projects with rubrics that she follows to a t. Make sure you study for her tests, they're really long and take up most of the class period but if you paid attention you'll do well enough. She's always happy to help and fun.

Roxanne is great at teaching the meaning behind math. She provides a lot of homework but it really helps with the concepts. She is great at teaching but sometimes there are questions in the online homework that she does not cover in class. She is really funny though. Make sure you come to every class!

Roxanne is the best. However, that does not mean this class is easy. She turns everything you knew about math upside down so that you truly UNDERSTAND the math. She is funny, and engaging and she is always there for feedback when you need it. It can be very difficult to learn problem solving but she will make sure you get it in the end.

I liked Professor Klassen a lot. She was very knowledgeable about teaching kids math. Her tests were pretty hard but if you paid attention, took good note, studied and did your homework you could do pretty good on them. She does assign a lot of homework, pretty much homework everyday, it necessary to learn the content though.

I had Roxanne for both 256 and 257. Absolutely AMAZING teacher! By far my favorite at MCC. She is not easy, but that's because of 1. the content, and 2. she wants her students to push themselves to improve. She does everything she can to help her students. The textbook she uses is free for the students because she uses a program called MOER. It has been very helpful with saving money but still getting the right information. I have not gotten an A in a math class in a long time, but thanks to her, I was able to achieve an A. One of my most favorite teachers ever!

This class was tough at times, but Roxanne really helped me push through it. She gives great feedback for you to go back and review. Only had 2 tests (the midterm and final) which were about 15 questions each. Overall, this class has helped me with my students so much already!

I am 100% that girl, who hates math, and looks at numbers and they jumble together. Not dyslexic or have anything going on with me, but numbers dont make sense. Wonderful Instructor! She's very a quirky person and emphasizes team work in her classroom. She really cares how youre doing in the course and will do her best to help you succeed as long as you put in the effort. Her class was my favorite this past semester even though math is my least favorite subject.

Professor Klassen is great! You really have to put effort and communicate with her. She doesn't take excuses and is a stickler on her policies. She is a tough grader but allows you to redo stuff if needed. Online is difficult with the workload but it's also manageable if you organize your time and schedule. Just be prepared to do a lot of work.

This is my very first time getting an A in a math class. She works hard to make sure no one fails her class however you also have to put in the work to not fail the class yourself. She is very funny and helpful.

Roxanne is literally the sweetest human alive. She incorporates "Meditation Mondays" in to class to keep everyone at ease and relaxed. She works with you if you ever have something come up. Great lectures, takes time to explain everything, pretty easy tests/quizzes. Definitely take her course.

I've never done well in math courses before and I'm so glad I took this course. It was easy if you put in work. She had multiple assignments throughout the week, but they could be done over until a correct answer was given. The hardest parts were the tests but the reviews are an exact replica of the test. If you struggle with math, take this class!

Mrs. Klassen is an amazing professor, if you have time do the assignments over the weekend. She cares for her students and wants you to succeed. the problems discussed in class are very similar to the homework.

I took math 256 and 257 online.Her class is hard work, assignments can be difficult. Always provides a clear instruction and is available to help 24/7.Most caring professor, and really just wants her students to succeed and helps so much.After this class,I understand concepts of math in a way I never had before. I can not say enough good things about her. She is one of the few teachers that will not allow you to fail. She works great with her students and her class was so fun to take. I hate math and I've never had such a good grade in her class. Homework is really easy.

Overall, she is an excellent teacher & genuinely cares about her students. Concepts were explained well & reinforced with assignments & group work. Fairly laidback, but definitely expects her students to make the jump from being high school children to college adults.

Amazing professor. I have never done well in math; Professor Klassen made it easy for me to understand the work. This is a credit heavy course and does require a lot of homework. Professor Klassen has no issues helping you succeed if you put forward the effort. If I was required to take any more math, I would take her again in a heartbeat.

Amazing professor who actually relates math to real world scenarios. She's super smart, helpful, and passionate about her work. She has virtual and in person office hours on weekdays. Responds quickly to emails, grades fast, and walks around the classroom to see how her students are doing. She tells us about the resources and events in MCC.

Hands down my favorite teacher! I took her class in person and would say if you pay attention and do the homework you will pass. She does give time consuming homework but its only to help you. She gives you the opportunity to go to the tutoring center for extra points. I would retake her class she's very nice and helpful.
