In her class you can expect tests or quizzes you were not informed of. too many novels to read and test are very weird. i am an 4.0 gpa, but her class its confussing and her hw grading sucks!!!! no hw turn in she will lower your grade....i wont recom her for your engrd 116.

This teacher is very fun and dont listen to those negative coments. If you follow her instructions, it will be really easy and you will find the class very helpful and fun. Of course theres alot of reading because it is a reading class but its not hard. I took this teacher for english 15 and 116 and got an "A"

O my the worst professor you can ever find on ARC campus, you have to beg for your grades for the homework, she did not give grades on some homework, she was mean and rude,not clear on homework, and a very confussing professor take someone else

Professor seems incompetent. Does not have subject knowledge available to answer questions. Makes attendance mandatory-keeps no records-but will claim you were absent. Says bad things and untrue things about you. Refuses to return work. School knows-does nothing. Tells you your doing ok then will fail you-no papers kept- DON'T TAKE HER!!!! Danger!
Plays big time favorites, her comments toward a few certain students were terrible and xenophobe. Teacher tends to make anti-semitic and doctrinaire comments big time. ARC knows does nothing? Tuff grader, Seems to say comments to students which are chauvinist. You get a 10 min break to wonder if she will fail you. Many got a D which is a fail.
She is a terrible teacher. If you want to ruin your GPA go ahead and take her. She will tell you that you are going to have a good graid, but at the end you will find out that it is not. Test are hard and does not make any sence.
This class flys by every week. The work isn't hard, you just have to do it. Roxxanne doesn't ask for too much and only gives homework over the weekend. Great teach!

The best teacher. Sometimes she can be confusing but relax and just do your work and you will pass. I had fun in that class and it was one of my easiest classes

Morgan was an awesome professor. I felt connected with her because I am new to the area. (I am from NYC) she, too is a fellow east coaster. She is NOT rude; or any of the other cross things that were said about her. If you are prepared to be in college level classes she is a great professor. And yes, she is hot.
She is sometimes rude, and she is very impatient. Whenever I'd ask her a question, she would roll her eyes at me and sarcasticly sigh with a little bit of a groan. This kind of attitude made me feel discouraged to ask more questions. She did say that she welcomes questions. I think if you ask the same question over and over, she will get impatient.
This professor is sometimes nice and sometimes impatient ti students. Her niceness is for those who do the hw, are on time to class, only ask the same question one time, and do not email her to ask her what the hw is after she has explained it in class. If you weren't in class, she expects you to ask classmates; otherwise, don't do the opposite.
This professor definitely plays favorites with her students. If you ask her a question, I can guarantee you that she will find a way to make you feel/look stupid. She is biased against foreign students as well.
Really energetic but sarcastic.She is really rude 2 students who r late but is always late herself.Final is a group project.Somewhat unorganized. Assigns homework then doesnt take or grade it. She is an interesting person and has lots of stories to tell just not the kind of teacher for the serious college student.so-so not horrible though.
I enjoyed the class at first. She seemed cool. But her syllabus was HORRIBLE, and, though she stressed that she would never put anything on D2L that he didn't also tell us in class, she ALWAYS neglected to tell us about things she put on D2L and then was insanely rude to the people(half the class) who had no clue what she was talking about later.
Easy teacher. If you don't like a load of work and like to just sit in class, then this is the course. We rarely have homework. Sometimes she does pick on students or make you look stupid. Just be on time, don't text, and keep quiet and will be fun class.

I was an A student before coming to her class Thx to her my perfect 4.0 GPA is destroyed. We had maybe 3 hw. all we had to do goole some words and find examples. I AM NOT a 3rd grade student. Googleing some words does not help me learn. Don't take her if you want to be ready for ENG 300
Easy teacher. Makes the class fun. So far got an A in her class without basically doing anything. Hate it when she picks on you though, but everything else isn't as bad as I read here..
Roxanne is the bomb! She is so cool and smart and really cares about whats going on in your world. Everyone was really able to get to know everyone and create a comfortable enviornment. She rarely gives out homework, as long as you show up on time and be respectful theres never any problems. Hardly uses the text. Tells great stories! She's awesome!
Easy teacher. But miss just one class, and you failed the class. So do not come 5 minutes late, and don't miss class even if it's a funeral and you will pass. Hopefully.

Prof Morgan is AWESOME! She tells great stories, keeps the mood light and has great energy! She is passionate about what she teaches. DO NOT BE LATE! DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR FOR THOSE THAT ARE LATE! Speed reading taken concurrently is a requirement but EXTREMELY HELPFUL! Wish I could take more classes with her. YOU ROCK PROF MORGAN!
Ok class easy but tests are sometimes vague. But an easy A not a challenging class. She chooses favorites students she will be more lenient to those students than other. felt more of a high class. She likes opinions that are like hers and hate any different ones
Professor Morgan helped me a great deal,and I learned a great deal from her in the short 6 week class (Engrd 117).I,m looking forward to taking 310/312 from her- outstanding instructor!!!!

She is Ok. The class is easy. She does chooses favorite students which gets annoying because it seems she more lenient with them. Ex. she is very strict on being late and missing more than 3 days. One of her fav student showed up 15 min late didn't kick her out like others. And one other fav. missed 6 class and didn't get drop like some other ppl.
Do not take her class, her teaching style is very difficult to succeed with. It's not clear what is on the exams because in lecture she just tells stories and talks about news instead of actually teaching things that will be on exams . The class average on tests was 50%- 60% that says something about the teacher. I regret taking her.
she lectures directly out of the book with the same simple examples but then gives really hard tests, also goes really slowly so we were not able to finish all of the material for the class. Overall she is just not a good teacher.
She is hilarious and a productive Professor. She makes learning personable and exciting. Her three hour class was enjoyable. The course had about 5 exams including the final, do the work you will pass. Textbook and reading material is required. Honestly, attend class on time and participate and you will do great. I would take her again. Easy class.
She is good professor, I really liked taking her class. She may not go over everything needed but she does go over whats going to be on the test, so you know what to study for. I had her for ENGRD 15 & ENGRD 116, I passed both classes with an A. I enjoyed sitting in her class and she's hilarious, if you need help just ask & I would take her again.
in reading 310 she was completely different for this section lectures are awful and she goes off topic and very unclear. sense of humor is great, teaching, not so much.

One of the best proffesor I've had! I took her for my extra credit class I didn't really like her, then I took the english class with her and OMG she's super awesome!!! Definitely taking her again for the next English reading level
all the negative reviews are absolutely correct. Most of the people in my class did really bad on the tests because she does not teach at all the material that was on the tests. In her class, basically you teach yourself.
Morgan is not good teacher. She talks about her life and her personal experiences, which are not related to the lecture, all the time. She doesnt care for students, except for few that she favors and those people get easy A. Go to class! DO NOT be late! Take notes, sometimes she checks. Her lecture is easy to grasp concepts but the exams are very hard I avg'd a low 70 for 4. Some others got 40s-60s. 310 is a transfer level class so she will teach it more higher expectancy. Assigns hw sometimes collects sometimes doesn't, just do it all! Speak up she likes talking!!
Don't ever think about enrolling in her class. She is a though grader. almost every single day during her lecture she is talking about herself and her trips to Europe, her style, her hair, etc. all day wasting time and the exam is very very difficult. never go for her.
I typically look up my teachers prior to scheduling class, but I thought that this ONE time I don't I should be fine. NOPE! Prof. Morgan is right to assign tests that make you work, but she doesn't teach the concepts she assigns in class. I could write more, but I would not have enough room to do so! Do well on the test and show up to class. She only grades four test, gives an optional final, which can replace you lowest test score. She also weighs attendance very heavily.

Professor Morgan is a AMAZING! I dont know why all these reviews are negative. But she barely assigns hw. She assigns for us to read and do an essay every once in awhile. Shes hilarious and does talk about her personal life but her lectures are amazing & really connects to discuss important and in-depth issues. I highly recommend her class
I didn't have an option but to take this professor and I regret it. She is so disrespectful! She gets mad if students are a minute late to class, yet 3/4 of the semester she was late herself. Also, Takes super long to grade exams or any homework. Don't expect to get your homework back because half of the class didn't. She has to fix her attitude!!!
Professor Morgan grades extremely harsh.. Messed up on grades twice, both times she was offended when I brought it to her attention.
Very funny, but can have an attitude change very quickly. we now have a week left of school with only 3/10 assignments graded. class ended early often and she just kind of seemed to be a mess. cool, easy to talk to outside of class and helpful one on one
She is a horrible professor. Does not grade on time. ATTITUDE CHANGES SOOO QUICK!! Got in an argument with a student twice in my class. Blamed "cognitive dissonance" for her bad semester. If a student is required to be on time and ready to go with everything. A professor should also be in the same boat. Will never recommend her.
If you have a learning disability or you are foreign and have difficulty with understanding English, DO NOT TAKE HER. She degrades students if they do not understand or they did not do the work as she expects. It appears that she has one of the worst cases of bipolar that I have ever seen. I will never take a course with her again.
Here is my opinion. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT take her class. She doesn't care about her students or their grades. All she cares about is herself. Her instructions are never clear and she takes FOREVER to grade the papers. One 5 page paper took her 2 months to grade. Her lectures rarely have anything to do with the course. Is self-absorbed.
Disorganized teacher. Made us do group presentations but taught us little herself. Assigned 3 essays, but by end of semester only one had been graded! I had no idea of my final grade until January. Didn't respond to emails. Essay prompts were poor and confusing. Liberal bias was clear. Nice enough person but not a good teacher. Look elsewhere.
She is one of the most aweful teachers Ive ever had ! Im still taking her class, semester going to be over and I know Im going to fail I worked my butt off and did what I was suppose to but it wasnt ever good enough nothing is unless your her and write the paper for you! Professor Roxanne can come off as a bit theatrical and rude but she means well. She's actually very caring and funny. She is a well rounded and traveled individual so it's best to not take anything to personally. Her reading picks are always interesting and the essays can be done as projects as well. Canvas oriented and homework is moderate.
Weird teacher. I mean she was alright, but very little work in this class. No due dates and assignments kind of have vague instructions. Very easy class if your schedule is super packed, but I'm not sure if this class was a special case or if she's like this with all her classes. She prefers videos over papers for some assignments so prepare peeps.
I feel like this english class made me a worse writer. Rather than giving any constructive criticism - she accused me of plagiarism and copying from quizlet, because innacurate Vericite indicated a 17% match to text. Of course I did not plagiarize her assignments are so easy - there is no reason to plagiarize. I had no problems with her until that.
Guys---you have to submit the work on time and put forth the slightest effort. NOT a hard grader, but does assign a bit of work (exactly amount expected for a 3 unit course). I took an online class. Easy A. Might have had something to do with the CoViD-19 pandemic, idk. The only negative is that she takes a while to grade assignments- ENGWR 302.
I am taking her summer english writing class and so far she has been very communicative and helpful. Sometimes she isnt very clear on what the assignments are, for example the topics of the essay arent specific, but she gives you enough time and will help you out. the reading is crucial for the class so ask questions if you are confused.
I thought Professor Morgan was very communicative. She's a slow grader, but she consistently offers feedback and had been easy for me to contact throughout. I found the assignments easy and enjoyable, and she encouraged having fun with my writing. Overall I had a very pleasant experience and felt I developed more as a writer as a result.
I really like Roxanne, however she talks about herself a lot. The final she gave us was the easiest final I have ever had so I should have gotten an A but instead I got a B. That's fine with me though. Close enough.
Slow grading, but you can contact her in advance about questions through email or Zoom. Class was asynchronous, and resources were online and either provided by her or sources you'd look up on your own for evidence. I took the summer class, so there were weekly essays and discussions, but as long as you do the work and stay on track it is easy.
SHOW UP DURING OFFICE HOURS. she is a slow grader, but she will grade it right away if you ask during office hr. Tough grader but you have to hear her out. I went to her office hr ready to fight after she claimed plagiarism on my paper. She actually listens to students and gives 2nd chance to submit your papers if there's any misunderstanding.
I had this professor twice now and I feel she's more suited to teaching high school English. So many assignment prompts were vague and badly organized. Grading takes forever and any feedback you get is underwhelming. The content isn't difficult, but her teaching style makes it so much more frustrating. If u wanna learn, find someone else.
A very bad professor. I wrote all my homework by myself, and I didn't plagiarize, I wrote according to the requirements. I got zero on a 50-point assignment. No other professor would ever do that! She's grading based on her mood! I ended up with a 59% grade, which gave me an F! I used to get A's and B's in all my classes! Very sinister and bad
I was recommended by a friend not to take the ratings from this site seriously. So I took this class and goshdarn is it ever true that she cannot communicate properly. Prof. Morgan didn't respond to half my messages and would only get back to me after asking the interim dean to reach out, and even then things still wound up messed up.
She would yell at students for being late, share personal information about students with her classes without their permission, flip students off (with a semi-joking attitude). She never had a lesson plan, rarely gave out homework so most of your grade is based on a few essays. The course material is also not gone over in any detail.
She doesn't suppose to be an English professor. In her entire class, she is talking about her vacations, clothes, makeups, fashion and many nonsense stuff. Because of her class (having the only C grade in my college career) I was struggling with the transferring to a good university. If you take it for credit DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! U will take a D.

The teacher lacks an ability to convey proper structure or teaching in the academic level. Along with this the textbook assigned is lazy and has no real world textual analysis.
It was really difficult communicating with her. Whole semester I spoke to her twice after class, she claimed this is because I hated her. 1st time was bc I confided in her about something personal,second time to turn in a paper. She put words in my mouth: Grading wasn't consistent, I did the work, with no feedback, grade dropping like crazy.
DO NOT TAKE ANY COURSES WITH THIS PROFESSOR. Very slow to respond or not at all. Hard to understand assignment directions. Tough grader even if you do the work when her canvas isn't up to date. Talks down, makes rude comments to students. I had to involve the dean to get a response and even pass the class but not much help there either.
Class was such a waste of time- literally all discussion posts and a few short essays. I feel like I learned nothing that I hadn't already learned in high school.
This professor was super nice. When I misunderstood an assignments directions she emailed me and told me I could redo it for full credit. However, she does not respond basically at all, so that assignment redo was a waste of time because my grade was never changed. The workload was barely anything so it was pretty manageable. Overall easy class.
She is alright her grading isnt that tough if you go to class and just listen you will pass. Her class is also pretty easy. I would take her class again for credits if there were no other professors available.
