I took him two years ago he was very nice. He did teach fast but always paused to make sure everyone understood. I was always in the math lab and when he was there he would help me out. Even when I had another teacher for statistics he helped me with that. all in all a good guy.

Mr. Boulware is a very nice man amd does all he can to help. Yes, you will have to go to class. I didn't do any homework and got a B! He goes over any question you have and explains exactlty what will be on the test. He isn't terrible and he knows his stuff.

Will do anything within his powers to help you understand the material. He spends hours upon hours at the math labs awaiting questions from students. At first I had a hard time adjusting to his teaching sytle. He displays some anxiety when teaching at times but that shouldn't hinder your learning.

well, he knows his****. The only problem is, he knows it so well that he forgets that he's explaining it to people who aren't as math savy as he is. But he has no problem go over anything twice (or more). The tests are easy, you even get a practice test with answers. the only grades are tests though. He loves to say "Any questions?"

He is fair. Prof B explains the material, is available in the lab if you have difficulties, and has a great sense of humor. He helped us when other instructors would of directed us to the lab to a tutor. Prof B cares about his students.

His teaching was a bit too fast paced but other than that he's great. He listens to the class and will work with the students. If everyone does bad on a test he'll let you redo the Q's you got wrong for EC. He's SO helpfull and cares a lot about how you do.

If you're taking any math class that he's teaching, take it with him. I am soooo bad at math, and he made it so easy to understand. I took him for Stats and Trig. I highly reccommend him. I suck at statistics but I still passed with an A-. He is really good at explaining though somtimes he speaks fast. Feel free to ask him questions during class and he will answer them. GO TO THE MATH LAB for extra credit!!! it will save your test scores!

I hate math. I hate math so much. But he helped me a lot. Personally, I don't recommend this class to anyone who doesn't need to. It was hard for me. But he was very helpful and made it less of a hell. He'll definently go over things a million times until you get it and I appreciated that. He's also ridiculiously nice.

I liked him so much he made me think about takeing another math class. I was sad to see the semester end because he was such a great teacher. I hugged him at the end of last class.

He is an excellent teacher. I enjoyed his teaching skills. He was always available when you have a question and returns telephone calls and or emails. Only one drawback is that he is very handsome and sometimes it was hard to concentrate on the lessons

Great teacher! Highly recommended for all comprehension levels of math. He will help the slower people if needed. Gives a total of 6 tests including final and drops the lowest test grade including final. So there is almost no need to take the final if your grade is an A. Also gives 5 extra credit points per test for lab hours.

Best math teach I've had in college yet! I'm a transiet student from UCF and I'm so glad I had him as a professor. Super helpful and made everything perfectly clear, and if you don't get it the first time, he repeats and reteaches it until you completely comprehend the material. TAKE HIM! Disregard any bad ratings he got.

Mr.Boulware is a really good teacher. I barely passed algebra with a C and I am getting an A in statistics in an express summer course!!!! He hands out the power point notes, and reviews constantly for the tests. He drops the lowest of 5 tests including the final and allows 5pts for ex.credit each test for the math lab. Best and most organized teacher I have had EVER. Why is he not a UF or FIT? Gives practice tests and chapter summaries. He is so throughout I didn't have to take notes. He is too patient to the lazy idiots that ask easy questions in class that they should have asked 3 semesters ago, like (0^1=1). Waste of class time and is a distraction go to MLAB.

Took him for Trig. He does speak fast but he'll go over it again if u ask him. REALLY NICE..gives u 5 points for each test if you go to the math lab. Test are easy if you do your hw. Really enjoyed the class. Had to keep on top of it and study to make the A but he taught it extremely well. His teaching style is inspiring; the majority of the class had a very high level of respect for him and recommended him to others. He's the kind of guy that people remember and want to take future math with.

Quite possibly one of the best teachers in the world. Honestly cares about his students. Upper-level math has always intimidated me, but he made it possible for me to learn. There's a fair about of homework, but it's only to help you. He's always willing to answer any question you may have, and makes math understandable. I highly recommed him.

Before I started this class, I was worried about taking statistics. However, Prof. Boulware's knowledge and willingness to help make sure everyone gets it was great. I would absolutely take him again. His SI is really good too.

Prof. Boulware is awesome. I took him for pre-calculus & trigonometry and got A's in both. I am taking him again for calculus I. He is one of the best math teachers around. The practice tests are actually harder than the real tests. Most of the questions are based out of the homework, so do the homework and practice tests you will be fine

He is so easy. I was worried because I had to take College Algebra three times to get it. I took him once and passed with an A! He dumbs things down for you, and always goes into extensive detail. Wow. This guy is lights out as far as math professors go. He is remarkably in tune with the material, which allows him to articulate difficult operations quite easily. The language of math can get complicated, but he speaks it perfectly. I got a B in his diff. eq. class during a busy semester, but an A can be had with relatively minimal effort.

Excellent professor. He explains things clearly, and welcomes class interaction and questions. He keeps up the pace, because there's a lot of material to cover - however, he has delayed test dates when he feels the class isn't ready with the material. Can't wait to take him again.

Does not give enough opurtunities for extra credit. He only gives 5 extra credit points per test and thats it! Skips steps in problem solving, willing to help. Test are composed of 14 - 16 questions goes really fast. Takes points off for every little thing

His test are honestly easy the practice test is harder majority of the time and plus Extra credit and unit circle you basically get 10 pts free. 10/10 awesome professor not reason to complain. Easiest math class I've ever taken. This teacher is incredibly helpful and you know exactly what to expect on the test. If you want an easy A, do your homework and take this class. Caution: if you are a math or engineer major, this class may give you false hope in your math skills. It is too easy and university level classes are a rude awakening.

Trig is not an easy class. He does do his best to help out his students. Extra credit for math lab. He is a really good teacher he will do problems students didn't understand. Im not doing too well in the class but im not doing hw or going to the math la so its my fault.

First let me say that I have NEVER been inspired in class as much as I have been in Prof. Boulwares class. He is simply the best. He is easy to understand, makes the topics interesting and gives you notes and practice tests that make his class one that you can only do badly if you really, really don't try. TAKE HIM for every and any math class!

BEST PROFESSOR PERIOD! Pros:Study guide for each test. Extra credit. Drops lowest test grade. Gives out paper notes. Con: Only bad thing is that i had to wake up early for his class. Conclusion: If you get all A's in the test you get a option of not taking final. The test questions are less medium difficulty. He is a very nice person too.

I have had the pleasure to take Professor Boulware for Calc 1,2 and Diff EQ. I assure you that you can travel the world and not find a professor as understanding and knowledgeable as he is. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! Don't recommend other math professors. Took him for MAC1114 and MAC1140.I got A's in both. It was a 6 week class for each class but he made it easy with his note handouts and study guides. Planning to take him until Differential Equations.

He is always ready to help his students. ALWAYS do the test review and you'll be fine. He also gives extra credit if you go to the math lab.

He's teaching style and my learning style definitely did not match! I'm not good a math and he was way to quick for me. He talks fast and moves on right after, he doesn't even EVERY single step in a problem he skips over sometimes so if you're not a good math kid i wouldn't recommend but if math is your strong suite he is perfect for you

AMAZING PROFESSOR. He knows what he's doing and how to teach it. As long as you ask questions and pay attention in class, you're sure to understand the information. He offers plenty of extra credit. He's always on campus and easy to contact. I wish he taught more math classes, like statistics, because I would definitely take another class with him!

Prof Boulware is A GREAT TEACHER!! He explains math in depth and is willing to help any student willing to learn. Overall he's organized, in a positive mood, and there to help. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

GREAT PROFESSOR. He is helpful and understanding. Gives practice test, notes, and gives a day of review before the test. He is flexible with the time needed for taking the test. Have taken him for MAC2311, Trig, precal. The key to passing is doing the the homework at least 2 times. He doesn't give hardest question. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Best math class I've taken. If he taught all the math classes I need I'd take him! He's the head of the math department at PBSC. He wants you to succeed. If you need to take a lab with his class I recommend taking him for the lab also! I would highly recommend. Loved Mr. Boulware. Great teacher

LOVE PROFESSOR BOULWARE! He is very helpful so if you don't understand something just ask and he will try to explain to you! There are 5 tests and a final exam and only 5 overall count for your grade so if you mess up in 1 or 2 tests, it's ok bc you have the other 4 to make it. The homework is not required but it is helpful to do great in class!

I love Prof boulware!!! He is amazing. He explains the work so you understand clearly and he is always there to help just ask! I would definitely take him again and recommend him to all. Use the textbook if you want extra help but you dont need it.

I have taken him for Pre-Calc, Trig, and Calc-1. He is very helpful if you ask him. I would recommend him to anyone and i would take him again and again. He gives extra credit on his tests for going to SI and the math lab. I wish he was teaching Calc-2 so i could take him again.

Amazing teacher , Math is my least favorite subject, but I must say professor boulware is amazing. Very nice, understanding, and patient. You DONT need the book, never opened it once. Gives homework but constantly extends the deadline to give you more time. One of my favorite teachers on campus

Gives 5 tests and drops your lowest grade, also gives huge review packets very similar to the tests. The material can be difficult but he makes an A very obtainable.

Great professor. Quick to the point, no time wasted, subject well explained/presented, helpful. Drops a test. If you are an engineering major take him, as he will tell you what you really need from the class for engineering. One of the best professors I had at PBSC (2nd or best). Don't really need the text book.

Pretty average teacher. Has passion for what he does. typically 4-5 test and a final will drop lowest grade. allows up to 5 point extra credit. doesnt matter which text book u get just a calculus book will do. pay attention in class and the test are very straight forward.

He is a very nice teacher, has packets with all the sections for each test and examples from the homework. Homework is not due, but you won't do good if you don't do the homework. Drops lowest test score. Gives an extra 5 points on tests just for going to the math lab. Do the work and you will get an A.

He's cool. Only like 4 tests, and just the mymathlab. His test's aren't that difficult. Can be confusing at times, but he's willing to go over the material again so you can understand. Overall, he's cool

The best professor in PBSC. He is passionate about the subject and he cares about students. I actually failed this class last semester and I thought about even changing my major because of it, but he made me love math again. I'll take him again for calc 1, 2 & 3. BETTER than Basant (LW).

Not only is he the head of the Math Department but he's an amazing teacher! Easy class if you attend and do the work. He's question friendly. If you need to also take a math lab I'd suggest getting him as your teacher for both, it really helps. He's fair and understanding if something comes up, just let him know in advance. Highly recommend!!

Do the homework, and visit the Math lab often to get extra credit. As long as you visit the math lab and are resourceful you can find the homework there so no book is needed. Only takes 6 tests including Final (and will drop the lowest) for grade.

Professor Boulware was a great instructor, I would recommend and I would take again as part of the calculus series.

Boulware is amazing, very kind and understanding to his students. He is very organized, and if he see's many students are not understanding the concept he will do his best to help everyone and even push back the test a day to give more study time. He is so smart and knows everything, and he is very good looking so that is a plus!!

Boulware is an awesome calc 1 prof, he does give a good amount of homework that is time consuming but its not for a grade, its for your own practice. He goes over any questions his students have and really wants his students to understand. He gives practice tests that are similar to his test before the actual test. Do the homework & ask questions

Professor Boulware is without a doubt one of the best math professors that I've had, if not one of the best professors that I've had across all subjects. He isn't easy, but at the same time he isn't overly difficult. Lectures aren't boring either. Pay attention to lectures, do homework, review his handouts before the test, and you can get an A.

Engineer with real world experience that went into mathematics. Extra credit for going to math lab, partial credit on every question. Does not troll much on tests. Do the homework, ask questions, attend SI, spend time in math lab and you will pass easily. He runs math team which I did not think I would like as much as I did. Extra credit 4 mathteam

Professor Boulware is a sweet professor who truly cares about student success. He is very fair. Differential equations has four tests and a final, lowest score dropped. Not much extra credit besides the math league test and math awareness week, but if you do the homework you won't need any. Tests are straight from the homework. Great class!

Goodluck. 5 exams, Final exam replaces lowest test grade. ( Final exam is basically impossible to pass). No homework grade , no quizzes. I did everything in my will to pass and I still failed.

Roy is very kind with his students. He tries to help you in anyway he can. Although the tests were a bit difficult .... you can still manage a good grade if you visit the tutoring center. 5 tests and optional final depending on your grade. Would take again in a heart beat.

This class was so easy. But not easy if you were dumb and didnt be take college alg first. He does 6 tests (one being final) and he drops the lowest, meaning you can skip the final if you do well enough. EC by going to math lab 5 points 1 point per hour. Practice tests that are very similar to the test.

Mr. Boulware is by far THE BEST math teacher I have ever had. Extremely intelligent and incredibly kind. He thoroughly explains each section and is very clear with the way to get the solutions. Do not skip class. You will regret it. THE TESTS ARE IDENTICAL TO THE HOMEWORK AND REVIEW PACKET SO DO YOUR WORK.

Professor Boulware is an amazing teacher! Lots of homework (which is optional) if you do the homework and review packets you will be great for the test. Any questions you may have just ask he will go step by step until you understand it. Reply's to emails promptly! Extra credit is provided use your resources!

(SPRING 2020) All seriousness I was a struggling student beginning college. It rly blew my mind how much Ive improved from having a C in intermediate algebra to As in all the calc. Really nice professor who really knows how to teach. If you're taking Calc 1 this semester, I'd definitely recommend him. If someone ever had a question in class he was very respectful and always willing to explain in more detail / show an example. Do make sure to stay on top of the homework; it can get a bit overwhelming if you start to slack.

Grading and coursework very clearly outlined. Easy to talk to after class. If attend all the lectures get lots of extra credit. Opportunity to raise grade with homework. There is a lot of it but not abnormal for a college calc class. I am taking him again this next semester for MAC 2312!

He is very nice and great/passionate on what he teaches. He is always willing to help if you have any questions on the homework or test reviews. He gives out test review packets 2 lectures before the test that help a lot on the tests. The material is easy and the work load is justifiable for the class.

Prof Boulware is one of the best teachers I've ever had. I'm always excited to attend his classes. He gives out xtra credit for participation and attendance. He answers all questions. B4 every test, he gives out practice questions which helps & he even let us redo our test papers to get a better grade. I wish he took classes in spring/smr. BEST!

Super great guy, has a very clear passion for the subject. His grading is very fair and all the tough stuff is HW; the tests are much easier and have EC. He's fairly fast-paced in his lectures but thorough, so you never see anything that hasn't already been gone over. Was always open to in-class discussions and stayed after class sometimes too.

Prof B actually cares about you learning and is so nice. I had him for live online. HW was technically due at the end of the semester and used MyMathLab which let you have unlimited attempts. HW and tests can be challenging, but he let my class have two attempts to take tests. Which was so helpful. Test are lockdown with webcam. 100% recommend!

Best Math Professor! Highly recommend for who's struggling with math. He explains clearly, tests is similar to the review, extra creds if u attend all of his classes, an easy grader, if u don't understand anything, stay after class to ask or email him and he responds real quick! I got him for 2 classes and will have him for the 3rd one soon!

Cares about students learning the material and improving. You can tell he feels passionate about the topics he teaches. Calculus itself is a difficult subject, but I feel like having Professor Boulware as my teacher helped me through the semester.

Don't listen to the previous review he's actually an amazing teacher and very good at what he does. There are five tests plus homework. While he doesn't drop the lowest test, he allows you to make up missed questions for full credit. No surprises just study the practice tests.

he was a good teacher very insperational but he's fast paced in his lessons and doesn't really work through the problems it's one and done but if your good at math then he will be a fit for you

Professor Boulware is a good and kind professor. If I'm being honest I barely passed his class. FOR me he moves very fast, we had 6 test with A lot of homework and tons of notes, I didn't realize how many people actually dropped his class since being there in the beginning. What honestly made me pass was the test he dropped for my class at the end.

He is very caring and genuinely wants you to succeed. Some people have mentioned that he is fast-paced and while that is truth, I find that that teaching style works really well for him as he explains clearly and has the time to go through all the material while providing us for enough time to study for each test.
