Great guy and so smart it just blows you away. Great sense of humor and gets to know his students. I had him for the Christmas Class and I loved every minute of it, even up to the last of the almost 5 hours a day! Don't daydream though, you never know when you will miss something imporant => take notes!

Huff is a GREAT teacher. He has a quiz every friday which focus on the details taught during the week. He doesn't take attendance but the tests and quizzes are easier if you're in class regularly. You have to write one two-page paper. He's very fun and entertaining but still gets the material across. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Roy Huff is super funny and loves what he teaches. He will help you with anything and is a fair man.

This class was a blast! Bro. Huff is really funny and makes learning about religion really interesting. He goes off on a tangent sometimes but they are funny tangents so its all ok.

This was by far my favorite class of the semester! It was always clear what was going to be on the quizzes and tests and as long as you read, you shouldn't have any problems. He is really funny but also very spiritual.

Bro. Huff is an amazing person, but his teaching style is not. He was always off on some wild random tangent. Sometimes they were funny, but most of the time it was really confusing. The class itself wasn't difficult, but I didn't learn much and I didn't enjoy class. It was just not as spiritual and focused as I hoped a religion class would be.

My FAVORITE professor ever! I loved his classes so much I have taken several of them. He is a great teacher, and teaches to the students interests. He is really good at expounding on student questions. He also likes to tell funny stories. There are a lot of quizs but if you are listening in class you can tell exactly what will be on the quiz. Family Foundations was good. I wasn't particularly impressed with him at first. He seemed a little arrogant and cocky, but then I saw that it was just his personality. Overall a nice guy. Is willing to work with you.

Super good guy. he has alot of knowledge and he always has his sources which is important to me when you start talking about miracles in the early church and such. his quizes are a little tough but if you pay attention in class youll do fine. you can use your book of mormon on all of the tests which i would recomend i recomend his class to everyone

Brother Huff is a good guy, but I don't feel like I was taught as much as I would like- maybe it's because of the subject. Most of class time was an open conversation and he didn't teach a whole lot. The class was fairly easy, and I enjoyed coming to it.

I took Book of Mormon from him, and it was an interesting class. He brought in a lot of different and fun trivia about the scriptures. His quizzes were pretty hard, sometimes it would ask things that we didn't cover in class. Overall I really liked him as a person, as a teacher he was alright.

I have taken brother huff for BOM and C History...I recommend him cause he gives great insights and has amazing stories. He is a funny guy as well. I liked his classes because they are way easy too. I had one paper between the two classes and 0 HW assignements. If you go to class he tells you whats on the quiz and test. easy A

Brother Huff is AWESOME! Seriously, he is so helpful. I feel bad for the students who don't take a class from him while they are at BYU-I. He used to team teach with Elder Bednar. I had home for Capstone this semester and it was his first semester teaching it. Brother Huff did a really good job, and he is always loving, inspiration, and spiritual.

Capstone Foundations has a bad rap, but Brother Huff made it a great class. He is a very well rounded teacher and responds well to student comments. I enjoyed class and his teaching style very much. He gives little homework, and it's always relevant.

Best Religion Class Ever! Bro. Huff doesn't make you read the student manual and discussion is encouraged. The only hw is reading scripture and the whole class is open for discussion. He tells you exactly what is on all tests and quizzes. There is NO busy work.

TAKE BRO. HUFF!!! Omg, he is the best. He is SO funny and lively in his lectures. He says the most hilarious things. There is NO hw. There are 6 quizzes that are easy. 2 exams that are semi easy. the only time i didnt do well on a quiz was the week i missed class. he tells u exactly what u need to know. EASY A! i also have grown from this class.

There's nightly reading, a few quizzes online, a midterm and a final. I REALLY hated taking the online quizzes. I felt like even though he hinted at what you should know in class, he still tried to trick you in every way possible. If you like learning BOM trivia instead of the very MOST important things, take him :/ SUPER NICE & FUNNY THOUGH!!!

I have taken brother huff 4 times and every time I have loved being in his class. He does a great job at explaining things and answering student questions. There are some quizzes and 2 tests, but if you go to class and take notes it's not hard at all! He is a great teacher!

I love Brother Huff!! This guy is amazing. He is so nice and funny and truly cares about his students! The quizzes are online, and if you go to his office he tells you exactly what to study! I did this and got an "A" on the quiz! He is an awesome teacher! Your testimony grows a lot as well!

Horrible teaching method. If you miss one question on the quiz, you will fail the quiz. There are no study guides for these quizzes or tests. you just write random notes and hope you study the right stuff for the quizzes and tests. I got a D in this class and im a straight A student. Do not lower your gpa in this class with this teacher.

Brother Huff is amazing. If you attend class every day, take good notes, and study them, you will get 100% on almost all of the quizzes. He tells you exactly what you need to know for the midterm and finals and is always willing to meet with you to help. Brother Huff is a great teacher and I learned a TON in this class.

Bro. Huff is a good teacher. He can get off-track sometimes, but if you already know the Book of Mormon, you won't get lost. His class depends mostly on in-class student teaching, quizzes, the mid-term and the final. He provides multiple ways to make sure you complete it all. I'd definitely take him again.

This guy is hilarious. He's always cracking jokes and alot of times those jokes are really helpful for you to understand what he means. He is also incredibly helpful because he tells you exactly what is on his quizzes and tests. Listen in class and you will be fine!

I had heard a lot of horror stories about Capstone so I was nervous to take this class, but he made the class great. I highly recommend taking him for Capstone! He doesn't give a ton of homework, and he's just a great guy.

The midterm and the final are impossible. Even though they are open scriptures I still did terrible. If you aren't a returned missionary you won't pass them. He is really nice and really funny, but he gets sidetracked a lot and tells stories of things that have no relevance to what is on the tests and quizzes. Hard to get an A.

Good teacher. He explains required concepts well and even goes onto explain concepts that are part of what you need to know but are still interesting. By doing so he keeps class interesting.

He is Hilarious!!! I would take all my religion classes from him if I could! He definitely knows his stuff, he cares about his class, and he doesn't require an outrageous amount from his students! Love Love Love his class!!

I absolutely LOVED Brother Huff! He is hands down my favorite religion teacher. He made it really easy to learn and be interested. He is definitely a funny guy. If you do the reading you'll do great! He has you take quizes, but he tells you exactly what is on them.

I loved Brother Huff! My favorite religion class by far. I learned a lot and he is a really great teacher. He answers questions and the workload is perfect for a religion class. There were quizzes every other week which he prepares you for, and a midterm and final which are open scripture. He does have us write one "modern parable" paper.

I only take religion classes from Brother Huff. If you are going to listen to someone talk about the scriptures for 2 hours per week, you want it to be Brother Huff. He is really funny, sincere, and knows just about everything. His quizzes can be tough if you don't review your notes once or twice.

Bro Huff is AMAZING. I had him for REL122 also. I won't take classes from anyone else if I can take them from him. Course work was easy, he even lets you grade yourself on a semester-long assignment. He's happy to work with you. He knows a lot of 'trivia' which I actually loved, and he's funny! Great teacher.

Professor Huff is terrific! No homework except for reading, and you have a biweekly quiz, a midterm, and a final. He gives out extra credit opportunities. He bases his class on BoM history and events. If you study, you will do great in his class. I've gotten a much clearer picture and understanding of the BoM and gospel principles from him!

This was my 3rd class from Bro Huff! I love him! He's one of two religion teachers on campus I will only take classes from. He knows everything there is to know and has a photographic memory. My favorite part of his lectures is that he always provides extra stories and info... not necessary for the test but so awesome to know!

I take most of my religion classes from Bro. Huff. He is a great guy and his classes are always interesting. I really appreciate how open he is to other people's opinions. For example, we had a great discussion about evolution, and I felt like he was respectful of my views even though they were different than his. His quizzes are a little tough.

Br Huff was my first religion teacher, and I'll probably continue to take classes from him. You were held responsible to do the reading, and it wasn't really discussed in class; He would talk all of the things that related to the reading, so it was cool to get both sides. If you show up, or get all of the notes, you'll do fine in the class.

Brother Huff is AMAZING! I took his MIddle East class and I really enjoyed it! He told us all these crazy awesome stories of his times there. I honestly wish that his class had been longer than an hour. One thing about him, is that he goes on these long tangents , but they are totally worth it

Brother Huff is terrific! Instead of simply talking about the reading, he sheds light onto the historical, cultural, and linguistic sides alongside the spiritual. You have biweekly quizzes, and a midterm and final. There's also extra credit. If you participate, take notes, and study for the tests, there's no way you can't get an A!

Brother Huff was my first religion teacher and I hope to take more classes from him in the future! He really knows his stuff, and has lots of cool insights and stories. The work load is easy, just some quizzes on the scripture reading and what he talked about in class. But I still learned so much in his class! Take him, you won't regret it!!

Brother Huff was a great teacher. He would tell us exactly what was on the quizes. There are two 50 question tests for your midterm and final. They make up a very big portion of your grade. You will have to study hard to get a good grade on it. He will help you pass his class.

Brother Huff is a solid teacher, enthusiastic and engaging. He's also great for answering any personal theological questions you might have. Some of the things he says I'm not sure are 100% doctrinal, but he really believes. Taking notes is going to matter if you take a class from him, but it's not too rough.

I took New testament from him, he lived in Jerusalem for years and knows his stuff. He's a good man and a great teacher, homework aren't too much and you'll get tons out of the class. I highly recommend him for New testament.

Love Dr. Huff. I went to Jerusalem with him and came back to BYU-I to take World Religions from him. He has amazing stories, really knows his stuff about religion, and wants you to succeed. Regularly gave out test help/quiz answers. Genuinely looked forward to his class every week!

B Huff is great! He talks about the Jerusalem center a lot which is really interesting. His class is difficult in the way of quizzes and tests on material you learn in class. Readings are AMAZING. He teaches well and engages you in discussion. Material feels random sometimes but is really interesting. Make sure you study for quizzes and tests!

Brother Huff was great. Super knowledgeable about all course material. But this class was hard for being a religion class. If you want a B that's pretty easy, but if you want an A you've got to take notes in class.

Brother Huff is a gem. His class is inspirational and the homework and tests aren't hard if you show up and take notes on the stuff he tells you to take notes on. He's not a hard teacher and I always left his class feeling refreshed and inspired. Take him if you can.

Brother Huff is awesome. He might be the modern day Hugh Nibley (?). He has traveled the world and knows his religious stuff. He can get off topic in class at times, but it is always with the most inspirational and incredible stories of the gospel. He also always makes sure that you are ready for the tests and quizzes.

If you love learning new stuff in the gospel and not the usual boring basics, Brother Huff is your man. I'm quite the deep doctrine guy but I never came out of his class having not learned something. He is my best religion teacher to-date. He prepares you for tests. If you like talking too much in classes this won't be for you. You will learn here.

Brother Huff was awesome! I really enjoyed his class and looked forward to it every day. Definitely take notes and study them, though, because there are only about five quizzes, a midterm, the final, and then a presentation that go into the grade book, so if you don't do well on the quizzes, it's hard to recover.

Brother Huff is one of a kind! He is so caring, inspiring, and knowledgeable. He tends to go on side tangents...a lot, but they are good and always full of information. As he says though its not usually pertinent to your eternal salvation. He prefers to teach church history, and that is his forte. Love him to death:)

This is a difficult religion course but Bro. Huff is an incredible teacher. I learned so much! You cant slide through his class, you have to read, study, & then study some more. I struggled with his quizzes & tests but he was always willing to help me. He would help me study in his office, worked with my personal circumstances, & was always kind.

Bro Huff is a great professor for Church History! He will go over the readings during lecture time and emphasize certain points that will be on quizzes and exams. He makes Church History a very cool subject and is able to engage the class in participating. He is always smiling and is all around a very friendly and understanding professor. Take him!
