I had Professor Johnson for Writing for Public Relations. It is a GREAT class. No text book required. A few fun assignments and lots of discussions. WELL WORTH IT. If you do what he asks, you should get an A. And again, the assignments are FUN.

Simply the best. He is super nice and friendly. He is willing to work with you and allows you to submit drafts for revision. Group discussions are interesting and fun. If you want to get a good grade, do all of his assignments and show an interest in the subject and come to class and participate.

Prof. Johnson teaches you more than how to communicate. Not a traditional business communication class where you'll have to write boring memos and papers. He utilizes self-exploration to really motivate you and affect your presentation and writing. If you're lucky enough to get in his class, you'll never want to skip it!

SUCH A GOOD MAN. he's so nice and really wants everyone to learn. he's not strict on attendance or due dates. no exams. papers require no research. it's impossible to NOT do well. everyone does well because he makes sure every student does well.

This guy is honestly the best teacher that I've ever had. He's hilarious and loves to make his students smile along with him. His classes are entertaining and he doesn't mind if you can't make it to class. He feels hurt when you don't go though, because he gets to know each of his students very well. Johnson takes communication class to a whole other level. Utilizes ways of self exploration to develop you from within. Very knowledgeable about what he's talking about and helpful. Highly recommend him, doesn't expect much just a few awesome projects to do. Everyone will do well, and shares his life stories/experience with the class.

Very very easy professor. Took him for summer session 1. All we had to to do was one presentation and write one final paper which was 2 pages. Got an A. There's no textbook. He spends half the class showing us TED talk videos.

He is so nice that it will hurt him to give you a bad grade.He always has your best interest at heart, one of the nicest human beings i have met at Baruch, problem is by the time i took his class which was my last term, i already knew everything he taught. he is cool just to go have conversations with though.

Professor Johnson is an easy-going, helpful, and understanding instructor. No exams or quizzes, the entire semester's works only consist of three papers. Prof. Johnson's classes are fun and straightforward. No textbooks, no in-class exams. His stories are compelling to listen to. Not only is he open-minded but also extremely flexible about class attendance and deadlines. He said, "If everyone here is not getting an A or A-, I am not doing my job right." My time in his COM3150 & 4005 was worthwhile.

He is knowledgeable about PR. He doesn't necessarily lecture well but he can answer any inquiries you have with ease. His assignments are clear-cut and interesting. During presentations he's critical yet just wants to give you good feedback so don't be too defensive. He cares about his students and overall is very lax with deadlines. No HW too.

Johnson is amazing and truly cares for the students. Last semester he detected students plagiarizing so he changed up the assignment to be about yourself (no way you can plagiarize that). Little things like that shows you how much he cares for the students. Must take.

Johnson is a great professor and an amazing person. However, his teaching style is not for me. It may be for others, but for myself I would prefer a different style. He has a lot of knowledge to pass on and you will learn a lot. The assignments are easy and do not really challenge you. It's a way too easy A.

Professor taught us as Harvard students, but we are not that level, so kind of struggle, so I feel like a fish climb on a tree! He is a nice person, and caring and inspires us a lot, but he speaks too fast, so sometimes the brain really dont have time to analyze, and diagestion

He gives 5 assignments and has most of them due at the end of finals week. Most classes feel pointless because there are no tests but the information is pretty relevant if you're interested in PR. I took this class during covid so it was online. He really cares about the students and does not give a lot of work. Was just 3 major assignments and 4 non major assignments that took ten minutes. Grades easy. Highly recommend.

Probably the best professor at Baruch. Provides all assignments by the 2nd week of class and you can very well finish and turn in all class assignments well before the due dates. The class was asynchronous but still took time to call his students to provide feedback on the assignments. Great person that gave me great life & career advise! Take him!

If you dont want easy A, then dont take him. Well, if you want, then you should know that he gives good feedback, just do your work on time and you will be okay. Also, he answers your emails very quickly. One of the best professors in Baruch. 10 out of 10

This class is an easy pass if you put in the effort to do the very manageable assignments. 4 short assignments (due through the semes) , 1 autobiography, and 2 slides presentations (due at the end of the semester). Asynchronous so you are not being taught but if you have good time management you can get everything done b4 the term ends. SUPER NICE.

Took this in the 3 week Winter sesmester and it was asynchronous. He's a little odd (prepare for some TMI from him), but I got the sense that he knows what he's talking about and he cares about your success. No lectures, just long emails and well-organized powerpoints. Three non-major (.5-1 pg, one per week) and three major (2-4 pg) projects.

Took 2 classes with Professor Johnson, now I will take a third one. He's simply the best. And he doesn't use zoom so another ++++. He's the type, who just wants you to get an A, you know.

Great professor, super caring and considerate. Took the class fall 21 and it was in person. We had four non-major assignments and three major. Was not difficult. Learned a lot from him and told us real life stories about the work field. Easy A if you do all your work!

If you can take this professor! His work was super easy to follow. He would tell you if there was anything you could do better on and you had the option to make it up for a better grade. GPA booster for sureee.

Roy was such a great person, tooked it in a 3 week winter break and it was the best decision I've ever made. I got the 2 major assignment done within 5 days. Still, don't wait until last minute. The class is all about being creative with yourself. Just take him, I swear u won't regret it. Looking forward to take another class with him next year.

Professor Roy Johnson is one of the best professors I've had. I took two different communication classes with him, and both were amazing. He's supportive, engaging, and truly cares about his students. His feedback helped me grow so much. If you get the chance to take his class, do it!

For me as an exchange student from Europe I was so happy he was my professor, the most caring and nice professor I have ever witnessed. Really generous with grading and is there for his students, I am still in touch with him, I even went to his classes if it wasn't mandatory and that's something I have never done before back in Europe, the best!!!!
