Roy cares a lot about his students, and knows what he is teaching inside out. His voice is monotone because he has a condition. He is a department chair who goes the extra mile for those that seek his help. A great person and professor

Roy is a wonderful department chair and prof. He is always willing to help his students and obviously wants the best for them. Plus, he knows everything I would ever want to know about exercise science.

really nice man that knows what he is talking about but sometimes has trouble verbalizing it to the class..is prone to jumping up and down in class..cares about us like we're his kids but needs to get some balls & stop letting us walk all over him...PS DARRYL IS HOT

He is a very dry professor but very funny if you really think about what he says in lecture. There are usually questions about the stories he tells in class related to the material remember those thus attend his classes.

Roy is the best professor I've ever had! I enjoy going to his class and he's one of the smartest men I've ever met. He tries to make things as easy as possible.

hardest course of life but Roy's an ammusing guy

I albolutely loved Roy, I thought he was a great prof. I would recommend him to anyone. The class was a little tough but he tried his best to make you understand.

Very passionate about his classes, wants you to succeed, make sure you go to class or you'll hear about it. Read the text because it helps you understand his lectures

LOVE THIS MAN!!!... awesome. He loves all of his students . He will help you in anyway. Labs are awesome, they are so much fun and incredibly interesting. Great course but you do have to keep on top of things or you will get caught and left behind... STUDY HARD!!! study groups are useful

Amazing prof. Roy is the opposite of most bio profs in that he truly wants you to succeed and he aims for a 0% failure rate whereas most bio profs aim to have a fairly high failure rate to show their difficulty, etc. Roy is funny and usually has some pretty funny stories. he has a dry sense of humour.

Love his class and love him. Roy loves what he teaches, and if you're not willing to put the time into this class you will not do well.

A good prof overall but his multiple choice exams are really confusing

Roy is a great prof! The class is really hard but just go to class and study like mad and youll be ok. His exams are based only on the class notes (not the book but still buy the book) and are all multiple choice except for the lab exams (those are really hard!).

Roy is the best! He really wants his students to do well and tests in a fair way. His multiple choice can be tricky but if you know your stuff-no problem. The lab exam is hard! There is a ton to know for it, my advise-use lab time to learn your stuff don't rush out of there! It pays off come exam time.

I had Roy for BIO 251/2, HKIN 365, and 466. Trust me, he gets MUCH better in later courses, probably because it gets closer to his own interests! Clinical was great, lots of discussions and presentations, though still lots of work! BIO 251/252 is like almost any BIO course, just read the book and notes and MEMORIZE! They are dry lectures though.

I loved Roy. He was the best. The lab exams are crazy hard, but if you prepare for the there should'nt be a problem. He is very approachable. Take any of his classes!

He is a really smart guy and loves what he teaches. It pays to go to his classes because you learn so much more. he always has great stories to help you remember the material and is available to help. the exams are very fair and he rewards class attendance with bonus questions on the exams!

Fantastic professor for anatomy/physiology! All tests for professor/course are multiple choice; Lab exams are short and long answers with fill in the blank type questions corresponding to stations.

by far the best prof ive ever had, simply put if this guy ever ran for prime minister, id vote for him. Very understanding, extremely helpful and always puts the students first, take this clss, you wont be disappointed!

I absolutely loved Roy, truly a sweetheart. The material was definitely difficult, but what else could we expect from anatomy? I think Roy did an excellent job, he was very approachable, gave great examples and made the class super interesting. Basically you get what you put into the class :)

Great guy

Roy truly cares about how well the students do in his class. He lets you know from the start that the course is challenging with a lot of information to learn and understand but he is always there for help. Does whatever he can to get students to succeed and is a genius in his field. The class is interesting but hard. Put effort in & you'll be fine

Roy is a bit difficult to listen to, as he can be a bit monotone, but once you get used to it you will catch the funny comments he throws into every lecture. Roy has an appreciation for student feedback, which is unlike any other prof I have encountered at St.F.X.. Enjoyed his courses very much!

I LOVE ROY RASMUSSEN!!! Literally such a great prof. Actually really cares about his students and makes it clear that he wants everyone to do well. Knowing the midterms and finals are multiple choice is awesome, such a stress reliever. You have to study in order to do well, but overall the work isn't really hard. Just a lot of memorizing.

Roy is extremely caring towards his students. If you have a problem he will help you! He is very knowledgeable in his field and it shows with the quality of the information you learn. However he does speak rather softly so a seat at the front of the class is a good idea. Roy is a 11/10 in my books.

Roy was a wonderful professor, open to discuss topics in and outside the classroom. He truly goes the extra mile for his student and does everything in his power when asked for help. The fairness of his exams is extremely important to him. If you study the material given in the lectures and PowerPoints, you will succeed in this class.

Roy is the best prof i have ever had. Make sure you attend his office hours to show him you care about doing well in the course and he will help you succeed.

Roy is a gem. Periodt. If I attended any class I probably would have gotten a better mark but the 8:15s were too early for me. Amazing guy though.

Super nice guy and cares about his students! Highlights what we need to know and has pretty decent notes with diagrams. Sometimes goes off topics or adds in things we don't need to know which can make it slightly confusing. Make sure to keep up on the work if you want to do good. Overall, great prof.

Roy is an amazing professor, you can tell he genuinely cares about his students and absolutely loves the material he teaches. He is very accessible and accommodating to his students. The only thing is that he is very lecture heavy you can sometimes get very bored from his lectures, but if you pay attention he will get his point across well!

Roy is by far my favourite prof at X. He loves what he talks about and he genuinely cares about his students. He can get a bit lecture heavy and go off on a tangent, but they're usually funny stories or him doing push-ups in front of your class just for fun. He posts his slides but attendance is pretty mandatory. Would take his class every semester

Roy is very passionate about what he teaches and it shows. He does attendance checks randomly, but if you're going to class you'll have no problem with the lecture content. He is super nice, and clearly cares about his students.

Very memorable prof for an intro to HKIN class, and very thankful I got to be in his last HKIN class that he taught.

If you have roy as your teacher your very lucky. He is an amazing teacher, his lectures are fantastic, he goes over material several times and explains things very well. He is very knowledgeable, hilarious and cares about his students. Exams are fair everything covered in class. Study and you will be fine. Best teacher I had all year!
