I took several sociology classes with Prof. Loresco. He is one of the best professors I have ever had. Very understanding and tough, but you will definately learn from him. He will also prepare you for University level courses.

I thought Loresco was a very good teacher I took him my senior year in high school and wasn't intrested at first, but Loresco made the class very intresting. He is surely one of my favorite professors so far. Work is kinda difficult if you don't listen and ask questions he doesn't really mind. Loresco was very funny and explained in detail.

he took over our summer 1 sociology class for 1 week and i really enjoyed it...i was able to understand more from him that i was able to from jarvis...but both teacher are incredibly easy!

Professor Loresco is one of the most enthusiastic professors at STC. His sense of humor combined with his thorough lectures, make every class day very fun. You can earn an 'A' in this class with a breeze. If I took it during my sophomore year in highschool and earned a '98'(A+), everyone is capable of doing it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I took this online. You do need the book online. If you work a fulltime job and have full time school schedule I recommend! You must read the chapter (not the entire chapter) but some parts of it, which was good because I didnt have time for the whole chapters. Do your assignments!! And try yo explain really good in tests...

Took online - Good informative webpage, quick response on grading fair grader. Be ready reply questions with well written essays. Overall Great Professor.

Loresco has excellent teaching methods, he involves the students into his lectures, and gets to know everyone. Take notes, and turn in the assignments and you will definetly get an A.

His class is fun. But the Tests are super hard. he makes u write like 4 paragraphs for only one question.

I have taken several online classes with Mr. Loresco and received all A's. Exams are not difficult, but you have to apply yourself. Read your book and do assignments and discussions. He is also willing to help if you need it. Make sure that your essays for your exams are well written and clear.

too much writing and reading. all assignments and tests required alot of writing (4 paragraphs per question). dont take him if ur short on time with homework.

Super professor! Took his online class and he gives about 2-3 wks to read 2-3 chapters and do the assignments on each. He answers back emails quickly. Tests are in paragraph form, but they are quite simple. Got an A. Highly recommend! Am taking him again for Marriage and the Family.

Easy A. Took this class online and highly recommend it. There is a lot of writing but nothing to hard. He is great about returns emails, and very helpful.

Professor Loresco is a cool guy. He's interesting and clear on what he's talking about. Class is TOO easy. He can be a jerk though. He also always seems like he's in a bad mood. Other than that, his class is good and interesting. Book is necessary, tests are not easy because he tells you exactly what you need to study.

This guy is awesome!!! I learned so much in his class. He is very engaging and interesting. You can tell he loves what he does for a living. Because of him I got involved in volunteer work. I'm less ignorant of other cultures. His class is definitely worth the money.

I liked this professor because he helps you but there is so much writing. I also liked him because you can turn in work and he will grade it. There are 4 tests and each test has 4 questions and each question has to have a minimun of 4 paragraphs. There are 9 discussions each discussions has to be 250 words min. But overall he is a good teacher!!!!!

This professor is amazing! You REALLY learn! You're constantly laughing in this class, he makes it interesting and fun. There's no way you'll fall asleep in his class. Exams are easy if you study. I changed my major to sociology because he made it that interesting!! There is nothing negative to say about this professor.

Dr. Loresco truly cares about the world in which we live and teaching his students to open their eyes and see what needs changing. He inspires you to see things in a different light. You WILL work on group projects but his grading as a group is fair. If you do more work in a group than others, your grade will reflect that. Be ready to speak up!

One of my favorite classes by far! He was really engaging and made the students interested at all times. I took him during the summer and it went by so fast and effortlessly. In the end he rounds your grade up if you are close to the higher grade letter. If you pay attention and do his work you will for sure pass with an A.

Took him Summer II online. I have to say, one of the best professors and very respectful. Test consist of four (4) written essays. Yes, it is tough but its worth it. Overall an easy A.

I must say, Loresco was one of the best professors I took this semester, don't miss out on lectures because you will fall behind on the material, there's only 2 exams, 2 group projects and one paper! Highly recommended

Great teacher!

He isn't clear with want he wants from assignments and the test questions can be unclear and vague. This class is very lecture heavy and requires a lot of note taking to pass his test. He gives good feedback, but won't hesitate to call you out. He also isn't very accessible outside of class.

I highly recommend taking any socio class with Loresco. The marriage and family class was fun and at times it would get personal, however, he makes it a safe environment for everyone and people are comfortable in sharing their opinions and stories. He always makes sure his students have a clear understanding and gives great examples.

I took him for Marriage and the Family and he was awesome! You won't use the textbook, so you'll rely on your notes. The lectures were really interesting over the topics! He'll use us or himself as examples, but the class is a safe space to learn. I highly recommend him for this class.

Took Mr. Loresco in Spring 2018. Really enjoyed his class, really interesting lectures. Makes you really think and realize whats going on. 4 quizzes, 1 was take home. 2 Group projects, 2nd Project is the Final. Lectures are important to the quizzes . Book is needed, mostly for the chapter vocabulary words that will be on the quizzes

The plus side of this online class is that your textbook is free!!! There are videos you need to watch for discussions (300 words each). Educational and not boring. The assignments are papers (4 paragraphs long) and the Tests are 4 questions and each ? is 4 paragraphs. You have 4 "stages" so there's 1 test, 1 assignment and 2 discussions per stage.

One of the easiest courses I have ever taken. He divides the class into "stages", with 2 discussions (300 words), 1 assignment (4 paragraphs) , and 1 test with four questions (each question requires a response of 4 paragraphs). You have about a month to do the work, and you can always turn in late work. TAKE HIM, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!!!!!

He really prepares you for tests as long as you show up to class and take good notes you should have no problem with passing, really makes sure you know the material before a test by going over the material thoroughly, cares about his students whether they are learning

I loved Dr. Loresco but some of the topics made me slightly uncomfortable, such as discussions on trans and other sensitive topics.

The kindest professor I have ever taken! I took him for a minimester, and although it was fast paced, and we had to write a lot, I wouldn't mind taking a course with him again! The minimester course consisted of 4 stages. 9 discussions (3 during the first stage) and 2 for the rest of the 3 stages, along with 4 assignments per stage and 4 exams!

His lectures are exactly what you need to succeed,, if you take notes you will automatically pass. He encourages participation which makes you want to learn more about topics he is addressing. He does speak hypothetically and if you are easily offended then you will not make it in his class. He motivated me to do extra researches on my own time.

Loresco is very passionate about what he teaches and as long as you take notes correctly and STUDY you're absolutely going to pass his class. He made this class very fun. He is, however, sarcastic but in a funny kind of way, if you can't take sarcasm lightly then I suggest you take another professor. His class was definitely one I'll remember!

He was a great teacher very clear on his lectures, and assignments are so easy

He was very enjoyable to have and gave out candy on our last day of class. He always accepts late assignments and holds class activities. I enjoyed his enthusiastic lectures.

This professor lectures made the class intresting. He never told us we wer wrong, just that it wasn't quite what we were looking for. I liked how he made us think. Sadly due to covid percautions the last few weeks of class were switched to remote at home. He still kept good contact with us and still gave feedback constantly.

Mr. Loresco was an exceptional professor during the summer session. He challenged me to prepare for college-level exams and coursework. While assignments are online, tests are handwritten and taken in class. He provides detailed notes and clearly outlines test topics. I highly recommend enrolling in his classes for a great learning experience.

350 words isn't enough to describe how great of a professor Loresco was. Majority of his lectures are him talking so try to take as much notes as possible. There's no book so there's minimal reading for his course. He really cares about the students and is a funny professor

No extra credit but it is hard to do bad in this class. Tests are on paper and need to be very lengthy, but as long as you pay attention and take notes in lecture, you'll do good. The discussion posts and other assignments were very easy and took me a very short amount of time. He's a great professor and very funny lol

Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you want to do well on the tests, show up to class. Take good notes and you'll do great. He doesn't offer extra credit, so do your best on his assignments (they're not very difficult). Very obvious he cares about his students. Overall awesome professor.
