this teacher is really easy. no homeworks, no quizzes. only 5 tests pluse a final. she drops the lowest score on the test. she reviews for each test and for the final as well.

this teacher does explain everything but for some reason more then half of the class ends up getting bad greades after taking a test.overall u will pass but not with alot of knowldge. she snaps alot for no damn reason and dosnt remmber names cuse she never takes attendence..

Very good teacher! Only problem is that she makes you do good on your tests to pass successfully. I like teachers who assign homework to go along with tests. Passed her class with an A, but had to work my butt off to get that A, because I am a math education major.

A very good teacher. She is very clear, concise and teaches very well. In my opinion, she seemed to take her time. She uses easy examples and hard examples. She gives you an almost exact replica of what the test will look like a day prior to the test. You will not be disappointed having her as a teacher.

An awesome teacher!! I've had a lot of math so most of what we covered was review for me. She's really easy and if you don't understand something you can ask her. The tests are easy too if you paid attention in class. Doing the homework assignments are optional since she never checks it. You do it for review if you need it.

Awesome. She makes the precalc so clear. I HATE math. I barely passed college algebra with a C and I am doing great in her class. She gives you a copy of an old test to study for the upcoming test from. It is the exact same question format with different numbers. If you are like me and hate math, take it with her because she is amazing!!!!!!!!

She's the best math teacher I ever had!!!! She is very funny at times and very clear and easy to understand. I've always hated math but she has really changed that. Because of her I am now getting my first A in math. She gives extra credit before each test and gives you a old test to study from. No surprises very straight foward! I loved her class!

I'm taking Mrs. Ealba right now for Precalc at HFCC and she's a great teacher. She only teaches you what you need to know and skips over the stupid extra stuff that gets put in the book. She may be a little quick when explaining, but as long as you're paying attention you're fine. She even walks you through an old exam the class before a test.

Great teacher, always willing to answer students questions even if the question is stupied. Her tests are easy and will pass if you attend and pay attintion. She's always willing to help and even give bonus points. Throws out one test and replaces it with MyMathLab score. An easy A

got an A in the class. Easy class, lets you use your calculator(CHEAT) but explains the types of problems very clearly. The day before the test, she practically gives the test to you, just changes the numbers around in the problems. Helpful lady, lets the class out early, good teacher.

I'm not sure what these other students mean about Mrs. Ealba being bad, not helpful, totally hard final, etc. I found her to be the best math teacher I ever had!! Her final was hard but covered what she told us it would. I found her helpful and dedicated. I highly recommend you take her - you will not be disappointed!

Amazing teacher!!! One of the best I've ever had in math! She's so enthusiastic and she is more than willing to help you with things you don't understand! She's friendly and she makes funny comments about long math problems like oh this is an ugly one. My advice is always listen to her when she tells you a certain problems on the test and practice!

She is a pretty easy teacher. Somewhat funny. I would take her for Math 180 if she taught it. Only explains it one way, doesnt know too many other ways to teach. Shes nice and does her best to help out her students.

Ms. Ealba really knows what she's talking about. Her lectures are extremely comprehensible and interesting. Her handwriting is extremely neat and she lectures from her desk, on the ELMO camera with a paper and pen so if you miss class you can get the notes easily. TAKE HER, you wont regret it. Only downfall: her final was kind of hard.

She was very thorough, always gave simple to the point instructions. A lot of practicing problems, and doing math, rather then reading us definitions, and assuming we know everything. It can get boring, but what math class doesn't? She's a good teacher, I took her for two different math classes, and I hate math, and I passed both. A good prof!

She hates answering questions by students. Her tests she say show all work and i do and others do too, and then you see her looking at answers only. Unfair by her grading.She needs to get student involved in her teaching. Best not take her. Without communication between teacher and student, learning is hard!

One of the best professors from HFCC, just do your homework and practice problems and you'll get an A or B. She'll let you know what subjects to study for each test. She explains things very well like if you have not seen math for years.

Took her for precalc and she wasn't that bad, passed all of my tests with B's and As and one D and got a B as a grade. Just sit at the front and pay attention, take notes, her notes and examples are sometimes similar to the tests.

I thought it was going to be fun. She walks in, sits down, and begins her marathon of notes. She explains well. I learned a lot more than I did in 110, but when she gives an example, she doesn't give you a chance to practice it for a min by yourself. She just does it and talks all hour. No communication, no interaction. YOU DO NOT NEED THE BOOK!!!!

This class was an Easy A. Anyone with any prior knowledge of math can pass the class without even trying. Her classes consisted of watching her work problems all class. She gives you old tests and just changes the numbers for the actual test. Make sure to be familiar with the criteria and you'll be fine.

She's funny and kind, unless you're disruptive. She answers all questions, even the same question that was literally just asked. She doesn't really stop anyone from talking and makes no effort to speak over them. All homework is available at the beginning of semester and due the night before the final. No cheat sheets, so study, tests can be hard.

Ms. Ealba is an amazing professor. MyMathlab was used to replace your lowest test score and was due at the end of the semester, no homework or quizzes, she does reviews the day before the test and takes a week to review for the final. She is a lenient grader and is very kind and patient. I wish she would teach Math 180!

4 exams, no homework, no quizzes. MathLab is due at the end of the semester & will replace lowest test score. She literally tells you what questions will be on the test. VERY clear, straight forward, funny, and nice. You do have to do some studying on your own and you will guarantee that A. I really wish she taught calc 1.

Best math teacher I've had in a very long time. She's very cut and dry. All we do in class is go over the material. She's patient and very informative. She reviews all the material before each exam (including the final). She'll tell you EXACTLY what you need to work on in order to do well. Awesome professor, highly recommended.

She was a good teacher. She was very thorough with explaining how to do the math problems. When she writes up a problem for examples she does not watch you do them, instead she does them along with you while writing the steps on the board. She will drop your lowest test score and replace it with MyMathLab.

What a great semester I had! I wAs so scared to take precalc but Ms. Elba made me like math again! She is demanding but you learn a lot. If you take her, be sure to go class and you will do okay.

This class was really simple. Her class is made of 700 points. 100 points per test (5 test total) and 200 for the final. She drops your lowest test grade for your math lab grade. Theres nothing else to the class besides those 5 test, math lab, and one final. She always reviews before each exam. She has really good teaching strategies. Very simple.

If you show up and take notes you get an A. She gives the exact problems that are going to be on the test but with different numbers. Very good lectures and does multiple examples of one problem. She gives partial points if she sees that you actually tried and lets students take pictures of notes.

Took her 3 hour class, lectures are needed to pass for the test, she's honestly really funny and likes to make jokes in class, very caring and understanding, loves to help students, never had a sign in sheet, just make sure to see her lectures to pass the test, gives many examples to study before the test, don't buy book because we never used it.

Summer '20. Virtual meetings. AMAZING at explaining everything. Is available for questions if send them through the chat/email. Has occasional extra credit. Very realistic about COVID situation and is somewhat understanding. Gives plenty of examples and time for exams. Reviews past semester tests day before. A bit slow but makes it easier to follow

Great teacher! She has made this forced online learning possible. Her explanations are so good and her practice problems are so helpful. I love her attitude and her confidence. She will help you as long as you show you are honestly trying and attending her Zoom meetings. I would take her again and again!! You should, too!!

Shes very tough with her work but shell go easy on you when you show her effort. Shes a very strict grader and pays very close attention to how you show your work. Shes very strict on attendance so if you dont show up youll get really confused with her assignments because she does her work differently and wants it done a certain way.

I took Math115 with Royetta and she was the best math professor I have had in college, yet. She is strict and clear about her grading. But, when she teaches she gives lots of examples that would be seen on tests. I highly recommend!!! Absolutely LOVED her!

Attendance isn't mandatory but just come to class every day and the workload and tests become easier for you. She literally goes over each and every problem you can possibly encounter. She is so nice and only rude to students if they disturbed the class. I took 115 with her and would 100 percent take her again if she taught calc 1 too.

Professor Royetta Elba has been amazing and the most thing I liked about her class is that she gives similar test reviews before on session of the test which help out a lot. She has a bit of a temper but her amazing lectures and extra material she provides is amazing.

Professor Ealba gives amazing lectures and prepares you well for tests. She goes step by step and helps you to understand how to do math problems. You must take her for Math 115!! (Or any other math class)

Why do some rate her low? She is great teacher. She know math and teach good. I struggle with math but she help me to understand. She also help me outside of class. The next topic (conic sections) looks hard!

Took this in Summer 2022. Was easy enough regarding material. Its hard taking math classes online though, especially in summer, so any other semester might've been easier. She's nice and lightly grades. She records her sessions and appreciates questions. (Never be afraid to ask questions!).

My semester is coming to an end and I feel like I have learned a lot about math and feel prepared for Calculus. This Professor really loves being a math teacher and makes you understand the problems. It got easier as the semester went by. I think anyone would enjoy her class and learn a lot.

Ealba was my favorite teacher this semester. On one exam I though I did really bad but she gave me partial credit for what I was able to do. She is strict but knows how to teach the material thoroughly. Off-putting at first but she has a great sense of humor. Get ready to practice, especially for the final. I'd take her again, highly recommend.

One of the best professors you can have! she explains everything so well! Her exams are also exactly like her reviews. She has zoom recordings for online classes and they are recorded for you to go back and watch. She is also very funny. Her exams are not bad at all! wonderful semester and I would definitely recommend her to everyone.

Professor Ealba is the best math teacher! She explains so well and reviews topics over and over until you understand. She has a laid back style but still demands the best from her students. I was afraid that a class using Zoom would be more difficult but not in this case. I wish she was teaching Calculus next semester - I would take her again!

This was a demanding class but the professor was very good. There were four tests plus the final exam. There was online homework. The professor explained things well and was helpful outside if class. I would definitely take her again.

Everyone said to take Ealba for your math classes. So I did for Math 110. And I can see why she was recommended after just the first two weeks. I am hoping for a very good semester.

I just read the last review and want to disagree with the comments. I am in the same class and attended that test. Professor Ealba was not rude or mean. She is an inspiration to me and makes me want to do good in math. She is a wonderful teacher. TAKE HER!!

Prof. Ealba has been a very good teacher. She explains things very well. I like her attitude in class. She is strict but has a caring heart. Her tests are demanding but she gives an excellent review the day before. I know I will be prepared for Calculus after taking this class. I recommend this teacher!

she's great, a little long winded but I couldn't have asked for a better teacher for math, I don't test well so I withdrew and retook my accuplacer test but she's very kind and explains everything very well. 100% take her as long as you can attend class, if you miss one session you could be so far behind. she prepares students well for tests too

math is my weakest subject tried with other profs but dropped them all she's the only one i passed with (a's & b's are easy to get if you study) class is 800 pts so try to get as many points because the final is 200 & hw is 100 there's no one easier than her, she uses practice tests that are almost identical to her tests as study guides

Easily the best math professor I've ever had, for both 115 & 175. Does a great job of explaining each topic & work is well structured, easy to follow & understand. I am someone who is honestly pretty bad when it comes to math and I would have struggled much more trying to learn this stuff on my own than with her. Reviews are just like the tests.

Prof. Ealba's MATH165 is challenging but rewarding. She explains concepts clearly, and her review sessions before exams are invaluable. Using unstuck study ai along with the course materials really helped me stay on top of the content.

I would like to thank her first, guys take her she's the best professor I ever had in my life her exams are so essy, and you wlak out of class you literally understand everything and if you need help just go ask her and will hlep you easy A. I took math 110,165.

I am in Math 115 right now and struggling a bit. But I have hopes because this teacher seems to care so much and gives us study guides. If you go to her classes and practice a lot, you will learn math. Excellent lectures and helpful handouts. Wish me luck!

This Professor took over our class when our original teacher became sick. I was sure I would have trouble adjusting to a new teacher. But she was great. Explained everything very well and understood our situation. I would take this teacher again for another math class.

Ealba is the best! She cares and is funny. So good at teaching math! I should have done better in the class but that was my problem. Four tests plus a final helped to spread the material out over the semester. Take her!

Professor Elba teaches very well. She is determined to prepare you for calculus. Lots to memorize and tough tests. Go to class and take good notes. Her tests are very much like the problems she does in class. And keep up with the online homework. You will learn so much!

If you need to learn how to factor, thus is the teacher to take! She stresses factoring and gives lots of practice. I thought four tests and a final was about right. You have to go to campus for all tests. Zoom recordings were great if you needed to review a lecture before a test. She explains math in an easy to understand way.

I am struggling in class. Don't have a good math background but trying my best. First test was hard. But I do think this teacher is a good one. I just need more time to adjust. The teacher thorough and expects a lot from students. It is demanding class! Make sure your prepared!

Shes a good professor, she keeps you engaged during the lectures. However, its 4 tests and the homework and thats all you get for you grade. Homework is 100 points and each exam is 124 points. Was a bit difficult with the lectures being online and limited office hours. You must study daily to do well.

She is a good math teacher and a kind person. I loved her! You should take one of her classes if you need encouragement and help in math. She expects questions from students and doesn't pull any punches. She is honest and helpful. Not a bad choice! I'm going to take her for Nath 175 next.

This was the first professor who made math make sense to me. She explains everything clearly and makes difficult topics feel simple. There were 4 quizzes (125 pts each), a final (200 pts), and homework (100 pts). Online HW wasn't helpful—just focus on her lectures. I rewatched them to study and did great. I'll take her again!

So glad I completed this math class this summer and was fortunate enough to have Professor Ealba. She was so helpful and gave amazing lectures. I just wish she was teaching Calculus next. I had never taken a math class over Zoom but it worked out great!

Delightful!! I was a guest student for the summer semester and was delightfully surprised with my PreCalculus teacher. She made math easy for me. She cared about her students. She was a very nice person. I highly recommend her.

This teacher is easy to understand and does lots of problems in class. Classes are too long and boring sometimes. Luckily tests are very much like her lectures. Just go to class and try to pay attention. She gets angry when students are late or absent. She seems to be a nice person and cares about you learning math. I would take her again.

This professor is so nice. She's really sweet and her materials are easy and basically they are the same as how the exam are going to be like. And since the class is two hours long and same for exams, I just wish she provides more equations in the exams than a max of 10 or 11 since they be worth a lot. So little mistake will bring score down fast.

wow, she's great! a very kind of sarcastic humor, she has great lectures and lowk made me like math again, which is great considering the fact I'll be taking calculus soon, I'll definitely take her again. She made me learn so much so easily, despite it being online lectures (and while online math isn't easy, she made it easy); take her!!

This professor knows exactly what she is doing. The two times I actually listened to her advice I got 100% on both exams. JOIN THE ZOOMS, DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS and you WILL be fine. I barely studied for this exam and the final and still got a 95, I barely know how to factor. Join the zooms and redo the problems she does in class and get that A
