One of the most helpful professors at FIU. She goes out of her way to help students.She gives real world examples and useful advice for teachers. She is very down to earth and is very funny. I learned a lot from her. You have to keep up with the assignments and there is a midterm and a final but she gives you a study guide.

This Professor is so knowledgeable and helpful. She is very clear about the assignments and goes above and beyond to ensure you do well. I wish I could take her for every class!!!

I had a writing seminar with her last year and just saw her on campus, surprised she remembered me. Woman really knows her apa writing and emailed us a bunch of writing guides. Really nice and helpful plus she actually remembered me which is cool because I took her writing class last year

This is a very difficult class but that's because it's a research class. Dr. Monem is a very understanding professor. She gives detailed feed back and lets students resubmit papers for more points. She answers emails quickly and has a positive attitude about helping students. She will even call you on the phone to help you with assignments.

She was the academic coach and research sponsor for a class I took called integrating curriculum assessment instruction. We had to present at research conference for this class and she was kind and helpful in preparing the class for the conference. She's supportive.

Theres 3 exams from the book and one really big project . If you do all the work and communicate with the professor then you will get a good grade. Shes picky with writing so you better be a good writer, if your not then be ready to fix your paper over and over for a better grade. interesting videos and she leaves comments when she grades.

Love her! won't say her class is a breeze because she make you work! but it is so worth the hustle. Best teacher I have ever had. she genuinely cares about her students and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is learning and passes her class. Truly an admirable teacher. she's a quick grader and very flexible. If you communicate with her, she will give you extensions, explanations, whatever. I thought everything was easy to understand and for a 6 week class the amount of work was acceptable. She seemed genuine and caring about wanting everyone to do well. oh and best part is there's no book for the class!!!

I had this prof for 2 classes 1 online and 1 in person. Shes great for both but I liked the in person class much better. Her style for each was different but I liked that. Lots of reading online but not for the other class. In person there was lots of smart conversations. We laughed a lot and she treated us like equals rather than masters students

This professor is very clear in her expectations and offers feedback. Maintain an open line of communication as this is the only way you will pass. You will have a lot of work, but if you look at the rubrics, the samples, and follow APA formatting, you will be fine.

Awesome professor, awesome person. This class is stress free. The professor models the education technology then shows the class how to use it. We gain hands on experience and shes always ready to jump in to help. She can be funny/quirky, kind and very patient. The technologies we learn about are actually useful and Im glad I took this class.

This class had so many assignments not big assignments but at least 3 each week. She grades fast so you know your grades right away. Assignments not hard theyre interesting it was overload. Shes nice about it though

I love this professor!! She is very sweet and you can tell she care. This class requires a lot of work but it is not hard. You will not pass if you do not have the book. Her expectations are clear and she responds very quickly if you need help. Would take this class again.

This professor is truly amazing. She is clear on what she wants, which gives you an idea of how you are being graded. She will email you back in less than 12 hours & will give you amazing feedback. All her quizzes are open notes/book and she gives you plenty of options to raise your grade with assignments and homework. Best professor at FIU.

She's perfect. Caring, nice and sweet. I took her online class and she made me feel as if we had met before. It was a 6 week course so there was A LOT of information but it was EASY !!! Definitely recommend her. I learned a lot through her positive feedback. She's one of the best so far. I would take her for all my classes if I could.

I actually didn't have her for this class but rather in High School for an AICE course class but she is absolutely amazing and this woman deserves the world and more. Absolute queen she is the best professor out there in general, super caring and deserves the world at her hands tbh

This is a really great professor. She answers all your emailss and grades work very quickly. There's alot of work but I wouldnt say it's hard or impossible. The exams are from the book chapters. Compared to other classes the communication in this class is excellent and it's almost impossible to fail. You can tell she's a nice patient person.

Given the circumstances, this was a difficult semester. I found this professor to be very flexible with grading and open-minded with extending due dates. It was not an easy class but the research you complete will make you a better teacher. I would say shes very supportive and genuine in her efforts. She pushed me to finish and do my best.

There's many assignments like others have said but they're short activities on things like behavior and rti. The tests are called open book reviews and you need the book. There's extra credit if you need it. People turned in work late during the whole semester but she didn't subtract points from us. For that reason, I say take this class.

I would take another web class with this professor. Web class was organized and the assignments had rubrics.

I just finished my third class with this professor. It was a positive experience. She is understanding and organized. I always understood how I was doing in the class. She is quick for answering questions and explained things and she sends many reminders so you wont forget to submit work. Eex3070 is required for my major.

Dr. Monem is a great Professor. Shes knowledgeable of the course and makes learning enjoyable. You will learn a lot in her class. Shes one of the best here at FIU. I highly recommend her and would definitely take her again if I had to.

DR MONEM IS AWESOME! Not exactly an easy A, but you will pass if you follow directions and do the work. I took this class as a grad school elective. I have no teaching background and I passed. Graded work is based on reviews, critiques, and exams. She is always available and happy to help.

Like others students said already she will let you submit work over for more points. There a lot of work but you can do it if you stay focused. All the behavior lessons in the class is interesting. The professor send a lot of reminders

I think the professor is really fair. Warning tho: This is not a class to procrastinate in. Theres a serious load of work and theres a late percent applied to late work. good news: theres lots of extra credit and the professor allows corrected work. I emailed her at least 50 times and she answered each time, so blessings to her for that.

So far its a great semester. Prof is very easy to reach. She grades with lightning speed which is very nice. she takes care of issues in the class right away, like if there's a mistake in the module. you can email for extra explanations and she replies quickly. she actually reads what you write. buy the book for the quizzes

Zero issues with the professor & I would take another class with her. The class is straightforward. Follow the modules & due dates & you will be ok. You have to submit work every week but you can go ahead & finish as quick as you like because the assignments & quizzes are open. Everything gets graded quickly & she sincerely wants you to pass

I'm pretty sure every education major has to take this class. It was easy and they were short assignments. Professor Monem did provide feedback and let students turn in work again if it was wrong the first time. There was a late penalty and work was accepted until the assignment closed. I liked how there no stupid weekly discussion boards.

I took her 6 week online class and if I could take her again I would. All of her assignments are straightforward, and she answers her email within a couple hours. All of her "quizzes" are open book and she gives great PowerPoint notes! The textbook she doesn't really use but it is helpful to use with all of her assignments and quizzes.

Don't even think twice. Sign up for whatever she's teaching. I signed up for another class with her this fall. She is very clear. Monem lifts you with encouragement instead of beating you down if you don;t understand something. She will look for every possible way to give you points for your work. love her as a professor.

dr monem is a great FIU professor but not an easy grader so I wouldn't say the class is easy. She reads your work & takes away points if you miss something which I guess is good because that means she's really reading your work. her feedback is good & her communication with the class is amazing. She's understanding and always gives good support

Lots of student like so her classes are always full. I can see why. She is better compared to other professors who vanish in the semester. Everything is graded quickly so you don't need to panic about how you are doing in the class. I describe her as: quick grader, caring when responding to emails, organized. She does her job.

She was simply incredible. Her lectures were informative, interactive, and engaging. She was generous with her knowledge and expertise on cultural diversity and research. She's one of the funniest professors I've ever had. I looked forward to the class every week. Every assignment was organized and included clear instructions.

I had to take this class for requirements for my program. I loved the professor but not the class itself. She made it bearable. Weekly there are quizzes and assignments. There's a mandatory interview with 15 questions for Portfolio. I think the assignments are mandatory by FIU so I can't blame the professor. I would take this professor again.

This professor gotta be the best professor I took! She was given lots of open-book quizzes but there is one test and an interview is mandatory to pass this course. She gives fairs to other students and she always answers emails. I wish I can take her again but unfortunately, this is the only class she is available. Awesome professor.

I took her Summer Part A. She very sweet! If you want an easy A, please recommend this professor! Her class is easy. Lots of open book quizzes and few assignment on website. Always reply email and feedback. There 2 mandatory to pass this course, Open-Source Test very challenge, and Interview a teacher, very easy. Both will be on portfolio.

Solid professor. Class is not to hard. Gives students a second chance if submission is poor. Hope to take more Dr monem classes in the future semester

There are 2 assignments due every week. Prof Monem enters grades quickly. She will answer every email & fix every problem professionally.The class was worth 420 points & there was xtra credit work. This class is an easy A is you do the work and make the corrections on the feedback. Everything goes thru turnitin so do not cheat.

Dr. Monem is one of the best and easiest class ever! You will learn a lot of things in her modules and clearly, a lot of book quizzes and 2 portfolio assignments; they are mandatory to pass both! She will have Turninit so don't cheat on yourself! NO Group project/assignment! A lot of quizzes, 2 portfolios, a few assignments, and extra credit.

this professor is the best you seriously can't fail the class if you listen to her feedback and redo your work. I wish all my professors were like her. She's da best!!! Don't listen to reviews that say the class is a easy A. it's not. you have to actually do the work and do it well

She gives input but she is patient. The technologies are worth learning and you will learn about how people interact with technology to make life better

I would've 100% honestly failed this class with a different professor because life gets crazy with work and school. She graded with zeros if the assignment was wrong and gives us a second chance. There was times we were so confused so we're grateful she explains things in the feedback and gives chances. I want to take all her classes.

I took this class with her last year and I have no complaints. She's a good professor and tries to help you if you need it. I signed up for another class with her because I know what to expect. I hope she still gives bonus points. She calls it positive reinforcement which is actually a great thing because it motivates you to keep working.

There's tons of work for a summer class but i guess I understand the short semester. Using AI is risky and you'll be asked to rewrite assignments if there's an issue "academic integrity". She posted about AI a million times. I'm not sure how I feel about it but I guess it means she's reading your work for your benefit

Assignments are graded with feedback quickly and there's quizzes from the book

the projects slow down as the class goes by. if your not used to working for your grade then you will have a hard time. if you do the work you will be fine. email her and ask millions of questions. she knows the class has project overload so shes understanding redoing projects helps bring up your grade i liked some of the creative stuff

This class is required for my major. There's quizzes and video reviews. The rubrics are included with the assignments. You can work ahead and finish the class early. The class itself is easy and has some interesting information if you want to learn anbout accessibility. There's one group project.

This class is okay. I think she's nice and she's always trying to help. I'm pretty sure she was a last minute replacement for the other professor and it was her first time teaching the class. She made some changes based on our feedback so I give her credit for trying to help us pass.

Prof Monem made the class a little more tolerable by giving extra points for good work on assignments. it's not so bad if you ask questions and keep it moving. If you over think the assignments then you won't do as well. It's not hard and some assignments were just whatever

the professor is nice but I don't really enjoy the class. this rating is only for her being a fast grader and polite in emails. the class has gotten better because there's less projects now

It's impossible to fail if we do the work and follow the instructions. This professor will push students to work and sends many follow emails to make sure we are passing. I think it's a good thing. Portfolio was a pain but that's an FIU thing.

I signed up wtih this professor for a couple of classes in the past and I'm in one class now which is different with grading strictness. I don't expect much for an online class so it's cut and dry. It's not an automatic a for turning in work but close enough.

Super esay A without doing the last assignments if you got 96 points in the class

The key to this class professor is being patient. It gets way better and survivable towards the end. I did not understand her in the beginning but I followed the directions and things got easier halfway through.

I ended the semester with an A. Some assignments were tedious but I learned so much about assistive technology.

Dr. Monem was my teacher for a dual enrollment class. She was amazing. I loved the class and looked forward to it. We had papers and presentations and no quizzes. It was a great time and she was a genuine mentor. I was inspired to become a teacher. She was so helpful in preparing us for the intensity of college demands.

Class breakdown: First 6 weeks are okay: all projects. Next 6 weeks are much better: discussions and assignments on subjects like technology addiction and virtual field trips. 3 multiple choice quizzes with 2 tries for each. 1 extra bonus assignment. 96 points to get to an 'a' and then the rest of the assignments are excused

It was worth the effort for the A in the class. I learned more than I thought I would. I enjoyed the videos and open book no time limit quizzes.

She is prompt and strict in feedback and grading. Get ready to learn and ask questions. Read all the instructions and rubrics.

It was a good class and I can say I learned alot that prepared me for my classroom. Some of the assignments were interesting but others were long. I didn't enjoy the linowit but she gives good feedback and allows revision for better grades. My advice is to watch the videos and read all the resources in canvas. She was available when we needed help.

I just read the directions and asked questions when I didn't understand something. She's knowledgeable and easy to reach :)

Prof Monem's requirements are cut and dry. There is a rubric and directions for everything. Most of the time there are examples of projects from other students so that we can follow them. This class is all about using different websites and technology. Some modules are super long and others are short so you have a break.

If you're serious about academics and rigor, this the best professor. You will earn your grade and you will work for it. She's one of the best. I still rely on what I learned in her research classes.

Basic straightforward class. The professor answered emails and had a few extra credit assignments. There were a couple of quizzes and one discussion I think. The rest were projects and assignments.
