His class in mostly lecture, assistance is not mandatory but helps if you go. testa re easy. recommend to take it in the summer.
Great professor, hands out all chapter handouts. Did not even need the book. Easy to pass, just pay attention in class and take notes. No homework, just a few tests, and in-class assignments. Definitely recommended.
Horrible teacher worst I've had. He wonders off both in speech and physically. He says the test is on many chapters but changes it the day of the exam. It's like he killed tons of trees to hand out papers that he claims will NOT help you to study. Worst teacher by far. Do not take!
He the funniest coolest professor I have ever had. Love his sense of humor, love how passionate he is about history. It is a fairly easy class to pass if you just pay attention and review the notes he gives you. Love all the history related stories he tells.

Mr. Sandoval was a great professor, just VERY lecture heavy. You dont have to get the book, but its probably helpful just because his PowerPoints are so long you forget what you learned, unless you truly like history. He covers a few chapter & then lets you decide which ones to test one. Easy A if you pay attention, also gives extra credit.
Great guy, if you are really into history, you will fly by, if not just pay attention and participate and you'll be fine.
Amazing instructor. I learned so much without having to stress about pop quizzes, tons of homework, etc. He keeps the lectures very interesting and inspires you not to miss class. I would definitely take his class again.

Professor Sandoval was the best government teacher I've ever had because I didn't feel like I was just memorizing court cases or amendments like in other classes I've taken. He tells the best stories to relate to the course material, and every lesson is connected to a real world application. I'll miss his class and I learned a lot in a short time!
Mr. Sandoval is the best teacher of government that I ever had. He daily gives amazing lectures , which you dont get bored to hear. If you really want to learn government or history without having tons of homework, he is the best option for you!! I would definitely retake Mr. Sandoval.
Mr. Sandoval is very passionate about politics, but teaches from an extremely biased stand point. He spends 90% of his lectures teaching his political opinions rather than the actual factual and testable information. The tests are easy, but I stopped tuning into lectures as they were not helpful and the discussion doesnt welcome different ideas.
Mr. Sandoval is funny and is heavily engaged in his lectures. He is very receptive of feedback and welcomes all opinions, both popular and unpopular. You can ask any questions you want and he'll answer. This opens the door for interesting conversations. Take his class, you won't regret it!
Mr. Sandoval is an amazing GOVT2305 teacher. He teaches based on his Power Points and gives points during class discussion. I took it in mini semester summer 2. He only gave 5 exams. He makes it very interesting. I would take it again. He will be teaching HIST1302 for the fall. I would recommend 1000%
You will have a quiz once a week or one every two weeks. At the end of the semester he opens up the quiz's that you have low grades on and can redo them.
Great professor. You have PP lectures via BB twice a week. Once the chapter is finished you have a test. Easy and he is flexible. I could've gotten by without the book which I wish I wouldn't have purchased but other than that it's a great class!
Loved this teacher! Easy assignments, often lectures throughout the class but gives many opportunities for extra credit and is flexible with work. Is also very reasonable! Highly recommend!
This man's a great teacher, keeps his lectures interesting and fun. Loves giving extra credit and as long as you're caught up and pay attention, you'll easily pass.
He is flexible about grades/due dates and gives many opportunities for extra credit and redos. It is best if you listen to what he explains and plays in class because you can give feedback for extra credit. Likes to tell alot of jokes. A bit lecture-heavy but overall not overbearing. Overall very fun and helpful teacher, would definitely recommend!
Mr. Sandoval is a kind human who loves his job. He is passionate about history, and loves to relate his own experiences to the content we are studying. He also loves to give out extra credit for simply participating. With regards to tests, they are all multiple choice tests, and you are allowed two attempts for full credit. Sandoval is a legend.
Mr. Sandoval is a fine teacher who can give an informative lecture that does not waste time and is a constant stream of facts. He is available to respond to any questions at any time during the day and he gives hearty extra credit. On the other hand, he is very unorganized and he procrastinates with grading and will leave many assignments ungraded.
Mr. Sandoval is a great Professor, he keeps the class interesting and gives a lot of opportunities to speak up and earn some extra points. He was also very understanding when it came to online class and missing assignments. I would definitely take his classes again.
Mr. Sandoval's class was my favorite one this semester. We spend the first 30 minutes discussing current politics, opening the floor up for questions and opinions from everyone. He always asks questions (for extra credit) on what we think about policies and laws, making the class very engaging. I had to spend 2 hours on this class per week.
Mr. Sandoval is a good teacher, not the best, but he's okay. Sometimes his lectures were way off topic. He was also way too biased (politically) at times and basically put down other opinions. I felt like I could never provide my personal input. Sometimes he would give decent lectures, but overall felt like I never learned.
Mr. Sandoval is a teacher who bases his lectures on slideshow presentations, crash- course videos and test questions from quizlet. Mr. Sandoval is mediocre at best, if you DO NOT like politically bias teachers, DO NOT TAKE HIM! For grading he normally did not stick to the grading policy/ syllabus. I personally WOULD NEVER TAKE MR. SANDOVAL AGAIN!

Mr. Sandoval was honestly one of the best teachers that I have ever had, he genuinely cares about his students. In class his lectures were always captivating, our class would add to the conversation not because we had to but because his questions were always so engaging. There is a decent amount of work but its easy, just stay on top of it.
Mr. Sandoval made the year enjoyable with his amazing dad jokes and great history puns. He really helped create a great learning environment even throughout a global pandemic!
Mr. Sandoval had great lectures, each one was interesting. Hes a great teacher with easy assignments, he does post a lot of assignments, but just stay on top of it and youll pass the class. Would definitely recommend his class, super fun, and he teaches his subject extremely well.
Mr. Sandoval bases every single lecture off of slides that he is slow to explain and only gives out about probably a million crash course video assignments. The tests are not worded in a way that he explains, nor does he give anyone enough time to actually do the test. You get 60 minutes to do 60 questions, honestly so stressful.
Mr. Sandoval is an excellent Government teacher! I really learned a lot from this class and I loved his personal stories that he shared relating to the content. It helped to better capture the information. He is also accessible and open to work with students in order to help them. He encourages participation, which also helps keep you focused.
Make sure to keep up with current events and participate a LOT for extra points at the end of the grading period (they rly help your grades)
Mr. Sandoval was just spectacular, and he doesn't even teach at my school. Interesting backstories despite not being an El Paso native, always teaching in a way where you don't need to take notes, despite giving you the option, and always trying to make us smile with his jokes. Just stay up to date in that class, and be ready to have fun with him.

Honestly a very awesome teacher, very clearly shows that he cares about students and cares that they LEARN. Keeps an open mind about the political/general perspective of others and gets along well with everybody (to my knowledge). Makes it very easy to clear work as well as allows students to make up work. Will add extra points, awesome, 10/10.
This professor was funny and kind. He was willing to help when asked and always paid attention to all the students in his class. His work was simple and easy to understand. He was very talkative which in my opinion I like in a teacher. He always had us participate and gave extra credit for any answers and questions we had. He is the go-to teacher.
The PowerPoints and lectures were very great where I learned a lot and it made me reflect on my choices. His dedication to teaching is very inspiring.
The class was a little fast pasted since I took it in 4 weeks but he did an amazing job covering all topics, using a lot of examples to help us relate them to the topic. I can honestly say because of this teacher I am more involved in the news, thanks also to an app he recommended- NPR. One of the best professors I've had.

Mr. Sandoval is an awesome and caring person, he shows empathy and allows for a lot of extra credit. If you apply your self in his class, it is more than easy to pass. He goes out of his way to get you help and shows you many websites and phone numbers you can call if you ever needed help. I would take again. Lecture heavy!!!!
Mr Sandoval is easy to work with he allows extra credit and sets up assignments with multiple ways to studies. I enjoyed his classes as he jokes on a frequent basis and helps to make the curriculum more interesting while still setting his class up in a way that makes it easy to get help and study. I enjoyed his class and would take it again.
I enjoyed this class and learned so much about my government and city. I learned how they work and what rules they have to follow. The subject of this class hooked me from the beginning.
This class made summer school fun instead of boring. Mr.Sandoval was a good teacher as he made the class fun and tolerable as must of the subjects were long. If I ever was to retake this class again it would be with him!

Professor Sandoval was amazing! By far the best professor I've had and would recommend to anyone and everyone. He is great at communicating with his students, and gives many opportunities to do great in his class. 10/10 would recommend.

He will give a lot of handouts, but won't ever grade them. I have 6 assignments that took me hours, and he kept pushing due dates farther back because he was so disorganized, that he never had us turn them in. Really pisses me off, because I have a very busy schedule.
This class was a great experience. The lectures were not boring, but instead were engaging and funny. The in-class assignments were not incredibly challenging, and were a unique and great way to learn. I can tell Professor Sandoval cares a lot about his students and their education, something which I don't see very often. Overall, I loved it.
I felt the course was easy, thats saying something because I took four course with him in two semesters and was never really stressing about the amount of work. If you don't procrastinate and do the work well you can get easy 100 for all assignments. Most work is based on completion, easiest A ever.

Mr. Sandoval is an amazing teacher and is probably one of my favorites. Sometimes the topics that we have to learn are boring but he somehow makes it very enjoyable. I would recommend that people taking his class don't procrastinate because it is so hard to catch up if you do.

The only issue I had with this professor was the communication! He barely communicated on Blackboard and rarely updated grades! His class is based on eighteen exams with 65 questions with a 60 minute time limit on a Lockdown Browser! I didn't like the format as well! I tried and somehow made an A+ in this course!
