Mrs. Martinez is pretty good. She breaks the elements of the problem down so that you will understand. She puts it in its simpler terms. Expects you to show all work, even if answer is obvious. Always helpful with questions in class & during her office hrs. Overall, I learned math in her class and understood it with her!

Ms. Martinez is a saint. In remedial classes she does tend to go slower than usual, but you are expected to know the material by 0302. If you plan on taking a summer math class, taking her is a safe bet. I almost dropped her class but she worked with me and basicly had more faith in me than I did and I ended up passing b/c of her. Get her A.S.A.P

What can I say. I have been out of school for 13 years and with mrs. Martinez's help. I finished with an A in her class. Ask her questions and she will answer them informativly. The class was a bit fast since I took it for summer 2. I will try and take her again for 303 and college algebra.

If you have had any trouble with math this is the teacher to take. She is always available to slowly explain it all to you. Lots of short quizzes about the work from the day before to keep your grades high. If you do the homework (she only assigns a little) you will definately pass. Don't be afraid to ask for help. She Rocks!

This is honestly the best math instructor i have ever had. I have taken her for all of my math classes so far and made an A in every one including a maymester which is pretty difficult. Very helpful and explains how to work out the problems perfectly. strongly suggest her.

I shook at the sight of math, it has been a subject that I have avoided for as long as possible because I was terrified. Mrs. Martinez really has a way of grasping how students learn no matter what level of math you are taking. Words can't express what a wonderful and patient professor she is. Take her class. You won't regret it one bit.

My last Math was about 20 yrs ago & I was terrified of it. I took her for 1 remedial class and also college Math-I passed both w/a "B". She is patient, fair,respectful and very clear about what's expected. Highly recommended.

Whoever rated Ms Martinez low was either a slacker or didn't get the material. I have failed/dropped 0301-1314 at least once and this was my 3rd time taking 1314. She was the only one I was successful with and she believed more in me than I did at passing. Not easy, but not impossible. Test you on what was covered. Get her asap. Thanks Ms Martinez!

I took Ms. Martinez for Math 1332 and she was very helpful, encouraging, and she finds ways for students who are doing poorly in her class to help them out with extra credit assignments. I had Ms Martinez for my last math course in Spring 2010. I understand that sometimes life happens, and that's cool, but it was the whole semester of showing up only to be released about 10-15 minutes after the start, in fact she was always 5-10 minutes late when I had her. I feel there was just no actual class, not strict enough to learn anything.

Ms Martinez is a very sweet, nice instructor. She will help you understand the material. There are 4 tests over chapters and a final exam a total of 5 tests you will need 5 blue books for exams. She uses the software called aleks on the computer and its self pace just pay attention to due dates and lectures I got a B in her class recommand her

Work is done on ALEKS which is a pretty good software for those of us who are really bad at Math. Prof. Martinez was always available to explain and to assist those who needed her help. Wonderful teacher. I got a 97 on the second test and never below a 70 on the other tests. This is coming from someone who barely scraped by in high school math. One thing - don't take her 50 min classes, she doesn't teach the whole time which kind of bugged me but she ALWAYS gives help and is one of the math teachers at SAC that actually cares.

we used my math lab, i only took her for 2 semesters. one for math 303 and math 1314. i made a b+ in 303 and A+in 1314. she made math easier then i feared it to be. dont get me wrong, you will work for your grade but mainly just complete all your hw with A's & b's and it'll back you up. This class was interesting. I guess I say that because it was an education major class and also she was gone a month because she had a baby. The class had homework of like 30 or so problems but majority of the answers were on the back of the book. We also had to do papers and teach it to "elementary students." It was a great class I enjoyed it

Honestly was a very boring class, it was online intensive mainly doing it over the computers, so i saw no reason why we had to go to class. She would help you if you asked for her help but for the most part you just went into class and sat at a computer and worked then left I usually fell asleep. But it was pretty easy for the most part

I struggled in remedial math and took the pass class and aced it, which placed me in 1332. Mrs. Martinez uses MyMathLab, the online program. Honestly, just do everything online and you'll be fine. I had a very tough semester due to personal things and she was very understanding about everything. The class is easy. The only thing is, the lectures weren't easy to follow but luckily everything was on mymathlab!

This is a follow up post from January 18th I am currently in Mrs Martinez 305. All the good reviews are true because I am in a class and I see her 3X a week and she's a really good if U are struggling with math this is the class fit 4 your semester it's very good especially if U need other math classes. Youll leave loving math! Trust me on this !

This class was so easy it was a joke to me. I hardly went to class as it was so frustrating how slow the pace was. She didnt care about my absence as long as i was doing the homework and taking the tests. I thought this class was easy but many many students were struggling and it was nice to see a prof who put so much effort into her teaching

If you struggle in math don't take the chance trying to take another professor just wait until there is room for Miss Martinez because you will definitely pass if you put your part because she definitely does her part and more and the tutors at San Antonio College are the best I wouldn't recommend taking math elsewhere.

This was my last math class. Oh how I hate math. But Mrs. Martinez made class so easy. You use mathway for homework and test. Everything is online. Class was so easy! Even test had examples of the problem you are trying to solve. You don't have to come to class everyday she does not care. Best part if you finish early you don't have to go to class.

Mrs. Martinez is a great math coach. I had a car accident during the semester so I could not log study as much as I wanted to, and my grade suffered because of it but, I bounced back to pass the course and because she explains math in such a desriptive and clear way, I can got through confusing areas faster. I had to take 3 developmental math courses ( all of which I struggled to get a c) just to qualify for college algebra. I took Mrs. M college algebra with p-cal track class and for the first time I passed a math class with a high A. If you struggle with math, shes the instructor for you.

Non-mandatory attendance, everything done online with excellent examples (even on exams), and you can finish this class as soon as you do all the work.. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!! She actually cares. She'll work with you and she doesn't require attendance. I think it takes a little more discipline, simply because getting the work done is all up to you. It's all online, but it's great. I would take her for every math course if I could. Like I said, take her.

She is literally the best teacher. The class is taught all online but if you need help she is there and explains it so well. I've always struggled in math but she changed that. Shes so helpful if I needed more math classes I would for sure take it with her.

Professor Martinez is awesome!!! She's an extraordinary professor she will go out of her way to try to help as much as she can for us to understand the math problems . Also its not mandatory to be in class you work at your pace. I truly recommend her you will not regret taking her class. She has a big heart and cares about her students.

I am a army Veteran,and have been out of school for some time. I have anxiety issues, and i was anxious about starting school again. Professor Ruby Martinez really had patience with me. She helped build on my confidence and taught me new methods to math problems. She spoke to me on my level and thought me how to excited the standards.

This class offers flexibility and independence for students. All the work is done through MyMathLab, if you show up to class, she will be one-on-one with you over the problems that you have a diffucult time understanding. This class offers a lot of freedom but it's up to the student on how much work you are willing to do to understand the material.

If you're not good at math like myself then Mrs. Martinez is the professor for you. She's all about you learning and understanding how you got your answers. She wants to make sure that you feel comfortable and don't make you feel bad if you're not on the same level as other students. She always encouraged you.

Really great professor! Took her for Summer 1 and it was good I passed with an A and I would take her again! The best part of the classroom is that you go at your own pace. She is really good at explaining stuff to you so don't be scared to ask the question if you didn't understand she will explain it in a different way.

I hate math with a passion but Mrs. Martinez walked me through some tough equations and helped me understand it. Great at explaining a math questions and shows a easier way to work the problem. Definitely taking all my math courses with her!!

I took Mrs. Martinez for 0320 and college Algebra. She is super sweet and helps you understand math in an easier way. I personally do not like math because it's very difficult for me, but she truly is amazing at her job and is flexible with your schedule. She is understanding and I passed with an A. Take her, you will not regret it!!!

Its an actual class, but she doesn't really take attendance. All homeworks, reviews, and tests were online, including the final. Chapter 6 was tough, but you can easily understand the rest of the material. She doesn't lecture or teach, you learn through "see examples".

Professor Martinez is a gifted and very patient math guide. I have always struggled with math and numbers, however she shared her knowledge with me in such a comprehensive way that I finally developed a healthy relationship with math. I had a few moments of "EUREKA!" in the class and am now fearless to take my next step in math. She is a SAC gem!

All HW and tests are online, but it's an actual class. I probably only attended 5 times but still got an A. She does not lecture, you learn from the "See Examples" in MathLab. Mrs. Martinez is the best. Her class is basically an online class, no lectures or anything, but you're still supposed to show up. She's super cool about attendance though if you give her a heads up. She's super knowledgeable and goes way out of her way to help you out. Offers lots of extra credit. Easiest math class I've ever taken.

Mrs. Martinez is an awesome professor. Do the work she assigns and if you have any questions she is willing to help. If you do understand the math problem she makes it easy and fun so you can understand the steps and the problem itself. Literally, the only way you can fail is if you do not do the work yourself.

This professor is awesome!! Yes the class is mainly online but she is there when you need help!! Also the bonus is she gives you 2/3 retakes on your exams even the final and also lets you use your notes! Just passed my final today! Yey didn't think I could do it since I sucked at math but I DID IT! You have to take this class it would totally help!

She is caring and helps you if your stuck in a problem. She teaches you till you understand the math problems. I would take her again if i had to. Class was very easy to pass just do your homework. The test are the same way done as the quizzes. She will let you know if she misses class. she will let the class know of upcoming tests.

I took this professor during the summer as long as you do the homework online you will pass. The test are the same as the homework similar questions and same amount of questions. You get to do the questions you got wrong during class. If you plan on taking more than one class than do it no need to stress over this course. Take her !!!!!! no regrets

Shes so nice she it lay back. Tells you what to do and helps you if you need help. you can ask questions and she will answer you. her quizzes and homework are easy as long as you do the homework you will pass. She really does not care about attendance that much or being late. Shes is pretty chill. Love her Take her for an easy A.

This is the easiest class I have ever taken. Everything was online and easy to understand. I struggle intensely with math and I was able to pass with an A. You only have to show up for the tests but even then she lets you take them at home occasionally. You can use all your notes on every quiz and test. Everything is at your own pace.

Easy class, just do your work, you will pass. If you do the reviews for test and quizzes, it will be the same! Awesome professor! Easy grade!

This was an online course I took, I hate math, but this math that I took was EASY to understand if you do your work. She is always there if you need help. The REVIEWS for your exams are similar when you take your exams. She gives you two chances to take exams and quizzes.

I wrote earlier about her phone usage but felt bad, b/c I was way to harsh; it wasn't that big of a deal. She's understanding, and is fantastic at helping students understand the math lingo. She just tells you like it is, moreover she also persuaded her department to keep our class (it was in danger of being canceled). Take her if you want an A.

I hadn't taken a math class since 2002! Took Ms. Martinez for a Maymester in a Hybrid Contemporary Math class, it was face-to-face but work was done online. She was very helpful and patient if you ask for help otherwise lets you wk independently. Easy A. Highly recommend.

She uses connect math which is accessible at home, attendance didn't matter, so no point in going to class. She doesn't walk around to see how anyone is doing. But she does help very well, if asked. Lots of options for extra credit. Easy A!

She is incredibly helpful and cares about the success of her students. All assignments and lectures are online, which I didn't care for. If you use examples to figure out homework, then you can be successful. Exams are exactly like the exam review and you get extra credit for doing reviews. I suck at math and I actually got an A.

Fall class 2015. Exams are the same as reviews. Study them and you will pass. She will answer your questions. Gives extra credit points. Lots of online homework but thats expected for a Math class. Shes super nice.

I took a Flex I MATH1324 with MATH0124. Even though it was a lot of work, Professor Martinez was understanding, caring and would even extend some deadlines to make sure we all got our work done on time. I would say for this class, especially FLEX, make sure you prioritize school, because you can easily fall behind. She is good at responding asap.

I had been putting off taking college math, because I was THAT bad at it. Professor Martinez changed my outlook on the subject and now I not only understand it, but I actually like it. Her strategies and methods are amazing! I appreciate her patience with every question I had, her name being Ruby makes sense; she is a GEM! Take her class!!!

Ms. Martinez is an amazing professor who emphasizes on your understanding. She's always willing to help walk you through and backtrack on where you made mistakes. The class itself isn't easy, but she makes it easy to understand. Her lectures give you insight and understanding and makes math something you'll enjoy doing.

Took 100% online course. Super easy. Only had to interact with her through email a few times and she responded very quickly. If you do the reviews, she adds 5 points to your test scores.
