This guy will give you so much homework. Wotht it at the end. But he grades with no technique. He assumes you know. He is tough with no reason. He needs to learn how to be more flexible. The exams are long and just one hour. DO NOT BE LATE OR ABSENT. Don't take him unles you have suicidal tendencies

explains everything in detail. Its clear to everyone who is paying attention. Tests were bad, final was a bit tough but over all math is easily doable with the teachings of Prof. Meangru

Nice man, always helpful. However, the course seemed somehow erratic. This was further evidenced by him having to suddenly rush at semester's end to present vital material for the final. Perhaps my biggest complaint is he could have made the course much more challenging. Instead, it remained at a typical LaGuardia IQ level -- 105 at most.

i think he is the one of the greatest math prof in laguardia. he teachs really well and do all the problem step by step. but, he gives too many homeworks, including maple assignment. so, u better prepare for it. also, he gives a lot of chances to make up your own grade, too. highly recommended except for busy people.

Prof Meangru was the most helpful and nicest professors I've ever had! I had to take statistics to get into my graduate program. I really stink at math and have never taken higher than algebra before (and I almost flunked that) but Prof Meangru was so patient and clear that I got an A+. He gives you the formulas with each test, except the final.

Has to be one of the hardest working professors that i know in the math department. I had him for Mat 201 and he was great. He does give alot of Home Work and quizes but its for your own good. If you can do all his home works and do well on the quizes you will do fine. Remember that the final is just like the final review.

I took his class 3 yrs ago over the summer and I can still say he is the best professor I ever had. He presents material so clear and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He gives alot of hw but it helps you in the long run. I attend Penn State and there isn't even a prof here who comes close to the standards that Meangru has set.

One of the best professors I've had. His ability to explain complex topics, problems, methods and formulas in an easy to understand way is astounding. The only downside is the amount of HW but practice makes perfect I guess. If you have to take any math course I fully recommend taking it with him, if possible

I've always hated math and still do after this class. However, he is a great teacher which explains everything very clearly. I got a B- which I'm happy with because I struggle with math. Lots of quizzes and homework. Some projects as well. As long as you do everything, you will be perfectly fine.

Took his calculus class as honors. I thought it will be hard, but Meangru made this class very clear. Just do all the quiz and review before class, you will be fine. He drops the lowest test, you don't worry if you fall behind, you always get chance to catch up. Good luck.

I took MAT 115 for Fall I, it was a hybrid course so we met once a week. Overall, I thought it was a great class, he taught everything he need to teach during the lecture course. I did not like much the online program we used, Educosoft but he is very helpful and is clear on what is going to be on the quizzes/exams! I recommend him! :)

I had Prof. Rudy for 2 semesters, for Pre-Cal and Cal. He is the best professor and he tries his best for his students to get an A in his class. I really like his class and I highly recommend you guys to take his class. You will not regret if you have him as a prof.

He's good in class if you pay attention. Moves along pretty quick with his explanations so if you're copying the work from the board you'll miss what he's talking about. Also expect to be handing in 2 hard copy homeworks a day on top of the online homeworks you'll have to pay for. Give's you reviews for test but still gives homework every night.

I haven't been is school in 17 years and professor Meangru really helped the transition back.

Took him for calculus 2 in the second session and he assigned way too much work. Quizzes on top of HW along with a group project. He goes fast so missing a day is devastating, but that maybe to amount of topics in calc 2 and limited time. Had around a 100 average for final and 3 tests but missed half the quizzes and 80 % of the HW and got an A.

Even after years of taking him I still remember him as being the best math professor i've had! very nice man, do what you're supposed to do and easy A. what a guy! do not take if you are lazy or can't make it to class

he's one of the best math teachers I've ever taken class with. If you do all the work its an easy A. Also he gives extra credit as if his life depended on it and he takes the time to explain it to you. Most of the quizzes are the same as the HW's with different numbers so as long as you practice you should be good.

I missed one class of his but I understood the material well enough that it wasn't that big of a deal. I caught up quickly. He made math actually fun. He also made math easy to understand.

What could I say? Prof. Meangru truly cares about his students, he explained things pretty clearly and wouldn't mind to explain it again if there was a student asking. However, the amount of homework that he gave was a lot and sometimes we were confused which homework was due today and so on. The test was similar to the review.

Prof Rudy is very knowledgeable and a really helpful teacher. He gives a lot of extra credits that would help boost your grade especially if you don't do well at exams. He clearly explains the materials and I understood him so well. Just don't skip his class more than twice or you won't pass. I would take him again in future Math classes!

Professor Meangru is so funny and made Math fun. But he taught so quick that I couldn't catch up to some of the work. I basically had to teach myself through the course. It was very frustrating but anyways he did give a lot of EXTRA CREDIT. So do it.

I took the honors section with him. It was a lot of work but he grades homework easy. Just do everything even if you don't complete it. DO THE QUIZES, some questions reappeared on exams. He tries to communicate to students during lecture so class isn't boring.

Very charismatic Professor, which is rare for the math department. He gives a ton of assignment, but at the same time he really doesn't expect you to do them all so most of it will count as extra credit. Easy to understand and also very patient with students. Expect a group project, which caught me off guard. Take him, if possible.

Attended LCC in the mid 1980's with a GED, after being out of school for 6 years. I was a pre-engineering major and took many of "Rudy's" math classes, beginning with per-calculus. Graduated Pratt Institute, with honors- Civil engineering and later earned my JD. I've had many professors on my long journey but sincerely, Rudy was bar none-#1.

I don't usually rate professors but every math professor I've had honestly couldn't teach and I'd find myself correcting the professor's math. However, this professor knew what he was talking about, always on top of grades, offers so much help, gives take-home quizzes and helps on the quizzes. He's a great teacher. Show up and cooperate.

Amazing teacher, amazing personality. He is witty, nice and very helpful. His lecture is easy to understand. He gives a review for tests ( 3 tests and fourth optional plus final). Also, he gives assignments for extra credits. It was a real pleasure to have such a teacher. I strongly recommend him.

His lectures are so clear so even if you struggle in math you would definitely understand but you need to actually attend class and PAY ATTENTION if you want to learn, unlike some students who rarely showed up and were always sleeping in class and expected to understand math. Just dont miss due dates otherwise he won't take it no matter what. You can skip classes but make sure he knows the reason and missing few homework or quizzes wouldn't hurt your grade.

BEST PROF AT LAGCC! Although I took his class during COVID he made sure we understood the materials. His homework and test are very easy to do if you pay attention, if you got questions just ask he will make sure the question is answered. Offers office hours, no textbook but you need to pay for LUMEN which is cheap if you ask me.

He is very nice and friendly. He takes 4 tests and drops a low-grade test and a final at the end. He provides extra credit for every test and some bonus point math that helps to get a higher grade. One thing that should be in mind in his class is all work should be done in on time. Late work is not acceptable.

This professor is a real gem. As a straight-A student, I can tell you that this course was extremely easy to pass with this professor. Taking him during the Fall II or Spring II semesters will be a lot easier. He gives you extra credit that is worth 10 points for every exam you take. He offers enough help for students to excel. Quite hard to fail.

One of the best and most popular professor at the college. Had him for all the calculus classes. You have to register his classes very early to even get in! Just take his class!!

Honestly, not bad of a math professor. The class was pretty straightforward with the quiz and homework solutions provided even before the due dates. Most of your lowest grades get dropped. His lectures are quite chill he has kind of like a soothing foreign granpa voice so it was hard not to sleep but I prefer that over rude teachers.

Awesome math professor and one of my absolute favorites at LGCC. He gives so many chances to improve and work on your grade. There's lots of extra credit but also a TON of hw so be prepared to work. There's also a pain in the neck group project but it will definitely build your math skills. Final was hard.

Rudy is a gem, I took him for calc 1&2, at first I genuinely thought I would struggle and fail, but he made both classes very easy to understand. His teaching is fantastic, he gives extra credit for each of the tests, he is hilarious, and he likes to socialize with his students. He brings joy into the classroom. I wish he taught calc 3

Prof Meangru is one of the best. I struggle with math and his teaching style was easy for me to follow. He shows all the steps and teaches the material mentally without using textbooks/slides. The man is a genius. He also provides exam reviews and plenty of extra credit. The workload is heavy and the class picks up rather fast so be prepared!

He really explains his classes in detail and provides tons of support material on Blackboard. I am 100% sure that I'd take another class with him again. Just be prepared to arrive to class on time since he takes attendance almost at the beginning (a department requirement) and there're (short) quizzes at the end of the day. A plus, he's very funny.

I was planning to take a semester off to take a break but I've taken his precalc and saw he was doing calc so I just HAD to stay amazing teacher. He makes sure you know what to study for tests and teaches very well.

Professor Rudy teaches students in a very interesting way and you won't get bored. But attendance is mandatory and you can't be late from the starting time since he is always accurate with time. Again, we all need to be aware of pop quizzes which he usually asks students to take but they ain't hard if you study regularly.
