This instructor makes algebra understandable. Encourages questions and NEVER makes you feel inadequate or like you are wasting his time. He takes a genuine interest in his students. It's hard to get into his classes, they fill up quick, but if you do, consider yourself blessed!!!

Mr. Alexis is one of those rare teachers who REALLY cares about his students' sucess in his class. He is willing to go the extra mile for you if you are willing.

He's very clear and he breaks down math problems, literally, step-by-step. Very helpful because he answers any and every question. Before finals, he reviews a sample exam which is almost exactly like the real exam. Great teacher of math. Too bad he doesn't teach the higher level math courses.

Mr. Alexis is the coolest professor ever! He makes the whole class laugh while making things REALLY clear and understandable. He makes things really clear. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. He doesn't assign anything that isn't necessary. Attend EVERY class. He is a hoot. He wore out all his dry erase markers so I bought him a pack at the end of the semester :)

Mr. Rupert is very involved and dedicated to his students. He means it when he says he wants "A" averages! He is there to teach you the material and makes sure you get it. Biggest thing is if you have questions or need clarity just ASK! Don't be shy. I have an "A" in his class. Never had one of those in Math before!! TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

I love this Teacher he was very helpful . When I thought I couldn't do this he encourage me early mornings one on one session donuts and orange juice he work my brain until I got it right and was very confident about it ... if you willing to try he there to help but you have to help yourself first.. Mr. Alexis is a great teacher that really cares about his students. He is willing to help you if you help yourself. He will push you and motivate you .He is the type of teacher that sees your face turned up and realizes that you don't understand . He will take the time to review the problem until you get the understanding. Great teacher :)

Great instructor, explains math until you get it. One on one help and group help. You can come in on Saturday and he will help you or you can sit in during his other class to get extra help . I will definitely take him again for my other math classes!

Best math instructor I've ever had. Math is my worst subject. The first time I took Mr. Alexis was in the summer & I received an undeserved D. He told me I know the material, but the summer is too fast paced for me. I made sure to take him again this Fall & I made a B. He is very sarcastic, funny & one of the most caring instructors at DCC.

Great Professor!!!!! Devotes his time to students. His willingness to teach makes you want to learn A+++ is his grade from me. wish he taught other math courses!!!

MR. ALEXIS IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!!!!! Took 092 & 093 with him. Passed both classes because he really helps the student & tutor anytime you need help even if you are not in his class. Mr. Rupert is the best math teacher at Delgado. He really cares about the students. If you put the work in, you will receive a good grade. He's always available for tutoring. He expects you to do your homework. Practice makes perfect. Plus he helped me with my tie. Lol. Thank you Mr. Rupert.

mr. Alexis is a great teacher and I will take him again in a heartbeat .I receive an C because I was behind in my homework that was on my account yet but he's a great teacher I would recommend him for any Med class that is available.

The best teacher I've had. I took Math many years ago and in another language. I tried for many times and many times I left it. Thanks to Mr. Alexis I took Math again and I passed with B. He teaches us pretty well and he does not let you leave the class with ANY doubts. I'll take it for my next class. I recommend it. He is THE BEST!!!

I attended Mr. Alexis' class over the summer, I would recommend taking his class for sure. He talks really loud when he gets excited about something he is teaching. I personally think that he is a great teacher and is willing to tutor every weekend if necessary. He gives extra credit for random things and is a very easy grader.

He is very caring and if he sees that you are behind he will help and be available for workshops. You must attend his all his classes , guaranteed you'll miss something if you don't. He very funny and chill. Leaves a lot of homework, but it is very useful. thE WAY TO GET BETTER AT MATH IS TO PRACTICE. He uses Mymathlab but not Canvas.(old school)

He's a great professor as long as you attend class you'll do great. Pearson's math lab is the best. I would take my next math class with him if my schedule would permit it. Never a dull moment. I highly recommend Mr. Alexis he loves math.

Mr. Alexis comes off kind of tough in the beginning but he is the best teacher! He will not move ahead until everyone understands the material. He gives you the exact notes that you need and repeats them often. Mr. Alexis is available on weekends without pay to make sure that his students pass and move forward. He is THE best!

Mr. Alexis is one of the best teachers I've ever had & I hate math. He gives great lectures & good feedback. He will tutor you for free on either a Saturday or Sunday at a local library. He wants you to pass & really cares.

If you are absolutely TERRIBLE at math, then this is the teacher for you. I have never been more than a C student at math. Mr. Alexis cares about if you actually understand the material and will not go a step forward until you know it. He tutors at a library on the weekends if you need extra help; He also will allow you to attend other classes!

This is an amazing teacher. No one gets left behind or clueless of what has been taught. Hes very understanding and compromising. He make sure every one pass fairly, if you fail you did it to yourself.

My coworker suggested I take his class. I'm so happy I did. He come off as mean but he really wants everyone to pass. He gives a lot of homework and barely grades it. Long as he see you trying you will pass. MYMATHLAB is not worth alot it only help your grade not hurt it. BEST MATH teacher I had here. repeat notes until you understand it. Take him!

Mr. Alexis is a great teacher! He will literally explain the steps as if youre in elementary & not make you feel stupid. His main goal is to help you pass. He is available outside of class for tutoring & even on weekends sometimes. He is the first teacher Ive had in my life that actually cared about my math grade.

Anytime you are not understanding a section he will offer more than enough opportunities to meet him outside of class for tutoring. Truly such an amazing teacher. Hes hilarious. He does plenty of examples. Do your homework and study for his test and youll pass. Hes not hard. He makes sure you understand everything before your test. If I had to take more math, id deff chose him.

I absolutely love this professor. One of the classes I actually enjoyed going to. If I could take him again I would. Go to class and do your work. It will only benefit you and if your still not getting it he will break it down so you do.

Awesome!!! Best math teacher!!! My first year in college & I was so scared but Mr Alexis is excellent!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED also students take time to go in math lab for additional help or his tutoring hours on Saturday that helps for those really struggling. But just pay attention n you going to be GOOD trust me PICK HIM he very funny, but caring.

STOP SEARCHING AND TAKE HIM!!! I took him for 099 at first he was too sarcastic for me, but as time went on you will learn he his genuine. Besides that he will go over the lesson over&over. He wants everyone to pass just do your part though. Go to math lab for tutoring & he also do tutoring on Saturdays. Pay attention take notes youll be GREAT!

Math isnt one of my best subjects so it doesnt matter who I take but Ms. Alexis was great. He really cares about if the students pass or not. He even worked on days we didnt have class for students that needed extra help.

Awesome teacher. Never had a decent grade in math until him. Only issue was communication. Doesnt answer emails, usually just texts and sometimes he responds. I would take again but instead in person not over zoom.

Mr. Alexis is very knowledgeable about math and I can tell he cares about his students succeeding. When I took his class he made it a point to be available for office hours and would break down any problem you asked him to. My only issue was that he could be short and snappy if you didn't have an answer for him when he called on you in class.

Class was math 097. Based on good reviews I took this class because he was the teacher. Mr. Alexis has been by far the best math teacher I have ever had. He is so funny and really cares about students learning the material, goes out of his way to help, did workshops and is patient when teaching. He is not new to the game but true to the game.

I have taken Professor Alexis for spring (097-full term) and summer (130-mini session). He's funny and the BEST, hands down!! He will help you succeed and kindly repeat the issues until you understand them. Do the work and you will get a well-deserved grade. I wish he teaches statistics. I have taken both semesters with him and highly recommend!

Amazing professor! I am not great in math by all means but he will make sure you understand. He gives a lot of test but he'll make sure you pass his class. He set his time out for his students and that's very rare that shows he truly cares about his students. If you're doubting yourself with his class, don't. I suggest you take his class.

Mr.Alexis truly cares about his students. He went out of his way each weekend to do tutoring, even if you weren't in his class. That alone was so beneficial. Knowing how much he cared about his students made you want to try harder. He wants his students to succeed and does everything he can to push them to do their best work.

Math 130 is no walk in the park. There were many days I questioned myself. But Professor Alexis help you to remember your why! DO THE HOMEWORK, Show up to class and TRY!! This man will go above and beyond to help you succeed . He is aware of how challenging the course is so if you put forth the effort and work your butt off you will succeed.

If you wanna learn algebra, TAKE THIS GUY. Never seen a someone so hyped about math. Holds weekend sessions and allows students to join other classes to hear lectures again if not understood the first time. Explains clearly, MyMathLabs are due at the end of semester. Tests are the class notes and some parts of the MML. Responds quickly to emails.

I took him for 030/130. He genuinely cares, grades fairly, and is always willing to answer questions even multiple times if needed. I really enjoyed his class and wish he taught statistics because I would definitely take him again.

I took Mr Alexis for 030 and 130- LOVE him. He loves math, and it is clear he cares for his students. If you try hard and show you're putting in effort, there is no way you shouldnt get an A. He also offers extra help on Saturdays for those struggling. TAKE HIM!!
