He is a very good speaker and his lectures are great, but he is intolerant of any interuption and does not help individuals much.

I hope to take more classes from him in the future.

We called him Nazi Nacoste cause he's so hardcore but he's pretty cool. Acts a little arrogant and definately don't cross him in class or he'll freak out on you. His lectures are fun and entertaining though and would defiantely recommend him

Be respectful because he commands it... meaning he is also respectful to you the student as long as you maintain integrity and respect. His lectures are the best.

Does a great job at explaining everything, and makes it all interesting. As long as you are somewhat diligent and pay attention I saw no reason to use the book. Strict during lectures, (probably because he gets really into it) but is extremely nice and helpful outside of lectures. Highly recommended.

This is a class you will never want to miss. Nacoste gives great lectures that are both fun and insightful. I love that when ever he takes a breath or is quiet for just a moment all you hear is silence. The silence occurs b/c every last student is hanging on to his every word. He is the kind of professor you will all ways remember.

Lectures are entertaining and really interesting. He tells you exactly what to take notes on and is always available and open to talking after class. He's very concerned with his student's well being and really is an awesome guy. His class isn't super easy though, when you study you should relate the material to your personal life, it's easier.

During almost every class he challenges students to assess their own personal relationships. He leaves each student forever changed. By the end of the course, you'll realize one thing: Not all dyads are viable.

I had the pleasure of having Dr. Nacoste during the spring semester of 2012. He was and is probably the best professor at NC State. I feel sorry for anybody at the school that doesn't get the chance to take him, because he doesn't have much longer before he retires. Overall he is simply, AMAZING.

I had the opportunity to take Dr. Nacoste's PSY 491 class this semester, and I was very glad that I did. I always looked forward to going to class, and found the discussions, readings, and assignments to be eye-opening in their own ways. I would definitely recommend this class!

Multiple choice tests, no textbook usage. Easy A, interesting topic. HOWEVER, contrary to what most other people thought.... I despised the professor. Most arrogant man I have ever met. Talks about himself almost as much as he talks about the subject. Also very overdramatic. Does not know the line between theatrical and overdramatic.

This is the best professor at NC State. Most people think he is intimidating but I really didn't think he was. Whats so different about him is that he demands respect for not only himself but for everyone in the classroom and I don't think that people are used to that. It was obvious he loves what he does and has love a love for life.

A very interesting teacher HE'S COMING IN HOT. The lectures are really good makes the hour fly by. Attendance is mandatory and don't think about trying to leave-early . So far i'm enjoying his class I haven't taken an exam yet but hopefully the material in class helps. No homework only 2 exams and 1 paper!

Dr. Nacoste is highly respected on campus and gives great lectures. His first class is intimidating to try to get people to drop the course, but he gets much better after that. Attendance is required until the first lecture. Exams are mostly based off his lectures, with a few definitions you can look up on your own. Grades are 3 exams and a paper.

The class was truly life-changing. This course should be mandatory for everyone! You learn so much about relationships, and in turn, you learn more about yourself.. As long as you study the terms learned in the lectures AND textbook, you can get an A on the tests. (Quizlets are available w the book terms if u want to avoid reading the book).

Dr. Nacoste's Social Psychology class has given me an entirely different outlook on how to interact with people. He has made me aware of processes and ideas that contribute to my proactivity in engaging with other people, as well as being aware of my own tendencies.
