Very confusing, very unhelpful... He puts you down, makes you feel like a complete idiot. He says things like.... well, you've been using long division to divide polynomials since the third grade... Yeah....right.

Is very confusing and does not know how to teach effectivly. Speaks latin half the time.

Tutors with masters degrees are lost with what he's doing. Makes things extreamly difficult. Covers material not even in the book. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT take him!

There's nothing good about this class. He's very odd and expects us to know things like pareto optimal that the people in the math lab with math majors never heard of. Also, someone got a 4 on a test which is a good indication he has no clue how to teach.

He purposely makes his students feel like idiots. Hard quizzes, hard tests. Very unhelpful. He makes me want to repeatedly jab my eye out with a sharp object. Avoid at all costs!

You will laugh at him, and then you will get upset at him. Left class confused every day. Passed, but dont know how. Learned absolutely nothing about stats, was amazed when I took Bus stats at how much he DIDNT teach me about the same material.

This guy is way too smart for a such a simple class. He can't explain things simply and he doesn't know how to answer questions. His tests suck if you don't get what is going on in class. He was one of the worst math teachers I have ever had! Take Duncan!

I wanted to like him, but he's just too over my head. WAAAY too smart to be teaching---he can't relate to anyone not on his level. Stay away from this guy unless you are a genius yourself.

He will not help you with anything. I even saw him make a girl cry because he didn't understand why she didn't understand. Stay away from him, he should not be teaching!

Worst teacher for math I've ever had. He has the stupidest sayings he repeats all the time as well as draws chalk on himself or sits on the chalkboard all the time, it gets all over his pants! He doesn't even get the right answers sometimes for the subject. He made up his own chapter too! Test suck!

Man i hated this class. he was not a good instructor and he told lots of stories that did not pertain to class material. i didn't learn anything from him except how to teach myself everything about the class on my own time. that's what you have to do if you want to pass. it was a joke and i would say to AVOID THIS CLASS!

Terrible, terrible, terrible..... teacher. Take this teacher if you enjoy minimal clarity and teaching ability. The only reason everyone doesn't fail his class is that he curved the tests enough that even if you weren't learning much you'd still pass

Worst professor I have ever had. He knows what he is doing(sometimes), but lacks the skills of teaching it to his students! He makes the material difficult. Better off teaching it to yourself.

awful teacher if he is the only teacher you can get into take it a different semester!! It was so hard and it is supposed to be an easy class i wish someone had told me not to take him. It was so frustrating and hard!

Do NOT take a class with Campbell! He has to be the worst professor I have ever seen. About half of his lectures are filled with irrelevant crap about pianos and the Greeks. His tests are hard because he doesn't teach you half of the material that is on them. Take my word for it, this guy is going to screw up your GPA. I got a B- & I'm an A student

Ancient professor with ancient ways of teaching. Does not explain concepts, very confusing! Rambles, can't read any of his handwriting on the board, hates when students ask questions and makes you feel stupid if you do ask questions. Very RUDE professor! I would not recommend taking this professor for ANY course!

He is the worst teacher that I have ever had. He doesn't teach anything at all, he just rambles. The only way to do good is to teach the material to yourself by reading the book. There is no possible way to learn anything from him, you have to do it yourself. Avoid him if possible, I couldnt and had to teach myself linear albebra

He's not very good. BUT, I find him quite humorous. His apparel, mannerisms, and voice inflections are very hilarious. Having a few laughs during the class is easily the best thing about the class.

first off, that picture makes me feel sorry for the guy! and 2nd DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS! you do oragamie! might sound ok, but try taking a written exam over it!!! worst teacher ever! i got an A- in the class, so it's not impossible i guess, but lets just say i had some help...he's weird, and his ties are dumb...the end, don't take!

He is a very bad teacher, if you get in his class get out. You will not be in a good situation at all. I would never, ever have him be my teacher again. This is suppose to be an easy A, and I barely got a B- more my you know what off. I appologize if you get in it. ANd if you think you can do it, really, you cant get out.

He seems like a really nice guy outside of class. He makes little jokes and are kind of funny if you can understand him. The 2nd half of class I find myself drawing all over my notebook not paying attention at all. He's not a good teacher at all. I think everyone around me is getting a C or D in the class.

This class sucks so hard. All he says is gibberish as he moves from one idea to something else that has nothing to do with what we're talking about. When you try to ask him for help he tells you everything even his whole life story without telling you how to do it. He's funny and nice but other than i want to gouge my eyes out when i do to class.

I'm not sure how this guy is still teaching at UNI. The best advice I can give you is to drop this class before the cutoff date. One "W" on your transcript looks better than a D or F. I took Stats the next semester with someone else and got an A. Drop it like it's hot!

His handwriting is impossible to read. He is way too smart for his own good. He does give practice tests before exams, but they only get you so far. I literally taught myself the whole semester and barely slid by. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I took Math and Decision Making with him. He is god awful. Doesn't explain anything well, and his handwriting is so bad that I actually think he is writing in a different language sometimes. This class was beyond hard. It's supposed to be easy. He SUCKS

Professor Campbell is a terrible teacher. He is hard to follow, calls students out on mistakes in front of the whole class, critiques quizzes in front of the whole class and makes you feel like an idiot. He uses material that other teachers and tutors don't use and he uses things that aren't in the textbook. He is terrible.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I have never had problems in math until this professor. He is unclear, makes you feel like an idiot in front of everyone, skips steps, teaches things not even in the book.. Daily 3 point quizzes that are frustrating, test after each chapter, no homework.

Campbell is honestly the worst teacher I have EVER had. I spend so many mornings and nights so frustrated by what he does. He has very snide, rude and offending "jokes" ad comments. He points out mistakes and makes some comment that makes you feel like an idiot and makes it so you don't want to ask question. DON'T TAKE THE CLASS WITH HIM.

Things make sense in his head, but he does not know how to convey the information to us. NEVER TAKE HIS CLASSES UNLESS YOU WANT TO DO TERRIBLE.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH CAMPBELL HE IS LITERALLY THE WORST TEACHER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. Plus, he wears the exact same outfit Every. Single. Day. You cannot read his writing. You cannot understand him. He will make fun of you for asking questions. He's an old, lonely jerk that simply CANNOT teach math.

I am currently sitting in his class as I look up to the board I can't make out what even one word says. The course content is pretty easy but he makes it rocket science. It is a struggle to make it to class every Tuesday and Thursday because he is such a worthless teacher but you have to go as there is a quiz every class over stuff he didn't teach.

Has anyone ever actually gotten an A in this class? I hate this man for ruining my first semester of college.

This is a professor who should be teaching Math for SENIORS majoring in math. Not Freshman taking the easiest course offered. Terrible at explaining subjects, examples are hard to understand. Rather than learning the subject IN CLASS, I have to use my own time which is very valuable and learn the subject at the ITTC instead. Not recomended.

Lectures are long and boring, very hard to follow as well. Calls on students randomly for his questions that no one knows to answers too. Actually asked a girl why her answer was wrong and humiliated her. Only way I'm passing is through tutoring sessions.

He is all over the place and talks like he has peanut butter in his mouth when he talks. The material is not necessarily hard, but the way he teaches makes it hard!

He's a decent enough guy but he is an awful professor. His lectures are very difficult to follow, his handwriting is terrible and his speech is hard to understand. He randomly calls out people to answer questions and embarrasses them if they don't know the answers. If you take his course make sure to read the textbook and use the ITTC help center

This guy is every bit as awful as everyone on here says he is. If there is ANYBODY else you can take your course with, avoid him like the plague unless you enjoy boring lectures and teaching yourself math. I personally found the book to be much clearer and understandable than his lectures. STAY AWAY! YE BE WARNED

The only way I passed this class was because I went to tutoring twice a week.. I learned everything from that and the textbook. Going to class was a waste of time because I never understood anything that happened. He has a practice tests on his website that are very similar to the tests he give but that was the only helpful thing he ever gave us.

The lecture is very unclear and the way he speaks makes it very difficult to understand the material. He has difficulty explaining the notes in a way that makes sense to everyone. When questions are asked, he restates what is already on the board. His voice is super monotone, so you can't tell what is part of the notes and what is a random story.

Yep, it's as bad as it seems. I'm not good at math so I took the lowest course for the LAC requirement and got stuck with Campbell. On material that in reality is very simple, he is a master at making it WAAAAAY more complicated than it should be. I'm sure tutoring would help, but still, try not to get stuck like I did.

Awful. He cannot explain things well. Makes things far more complicated than they need to be. The course should be simple, but he makes it incredibly difficult to follow along. If you generally need help with math, do not take this course, he will not help and even tutors don't know how to help you with his course. Find a different professor.

Not a good Professor. He is really hard to understand and does not do good job-wording things. I think the tests and quizzes sometimes got difficult because of this. If you think you can survive go for it, but I recommend trying for a different professor. He just makes the material a lot harder than it has to be. Struggle with math? Do not take! :(

To start on a good note, he's a nice guy. Now for the bad: he's very monotonous. He makes things much more complicated than they need to be (I'm by no means a math genius but the easiest math course offered should not be so difficult. I shouldn't struggle to get a C). You need to go to class. Miss a class and you'll be lost.
