He used the CD from the 6th edition of the textbook while the class was on the 10th. As a 4.0 student, I struggled to maintain a B in his class while most of the other students failed. He's a nice man but... not organized and hard to follow. Not recommend

extermely hard to follow, very unorganozed. He is sweet but very unhelpful. His labs tests are a mess. When anyone would ask a question it seemed to annoy him. I do NOT recommend him

This is a sink or swim class. This instructor teaches as if your were taking a class for you Masters Degree.

What he really needs to do is retire because he is very unclear of what is going to be on the test and the syllabus that you have to buy was from like 1990's around there hello why in the world would he still have this wyllabus take if you want to fail.

He's been teaching for over 25 years and his lecture notes in his binder are that old too! The paper itself is yellow because of age, and it was typed on a typewriter! He does not follow the book that I paid $145 for,I had to pay for a syllabus that had TONS of typos in it. Nice man but bad teacher.

Dr Garcia is very disorganized, starts class late, & refuses to help students (yet sees himself as an encouraging influence). He gets mad at students who ask questions. His 40-odd page syllabus cost $3 and is full of spelling errors. For Spring 2005, 10 students of 26 have dropped as of today. Bad!

I agree with the last statement entirely. I was shocked that he was reading the evaluations as we were testing. I was honest and still got the grade I wanted. He was the most unorganized professor I have had. Use caution if you must take him. He has some fans, but they are few and far between.....

Thank god for the practice test or I would not have passed. Very bad teacher and class. Doesn't even follow his own outlines and rambles alot during his lectures.

He is all over the place and his lectures suck a big! Very boring. Does not make it interesting like it should be. I definately have to take it again. It sux!

TERRIBLE, he won't value good students!You won't get an A don't matter how hard you try! Forgets to tell things and then has them on test! Has misleading and confusing questions which trip you on tests! Lectures disorganized and chaotic! He loves chemistry and will kill you with chemistry/biochemistry questions on first lecture and lab test.

Worst teacher ever.Only 2 students left in his class. Had no idea where to begin to study for his tests. I have to take it again! Goes by his own notes for the test, and his lectures are very unclear, I was lost for half of the class!

If you value your GPA do not take this instructor his mission is to see how many people he can fail. We started with 32 students and ended up with 6 students. Most of the remaining students barely made a C. Study groups do not help. If you ask him a question he will dance around the issue or say I can not answer that.

Be prepared for a "Nightmare on San Pedro Ave". You'll walk around like a headless chicken not knowing where, what and how to study! His tests are insane, full of stupid questions, trying to get them right is worse than pulling teeth.

Misleading and dishonest. He said it one way/the book said it one way and if you answered it like that on the test it was wrong. Too many questions where we didn't get the info to answer correctly especially on lecture test 1 and 4. Extreme workload. Weedout course! Won't take this prof for A&P2. Not worth the frustration

What upset me the most was that he said not to worry about certain stuff, it would not be covered in the course and then had those things on the test and again on the final! He is either old and forgetful and doesn't know what is on his own tests or just downright dishonest. I'm angry at him messing me up, too much stress won't take him for A&P2 !

This man needs to retire. I agree with everyone that left ratings for him. He is a nice man but not a good teacher. I think he is getting senile. If you have to take him study on your own, your better off.

He is nice but very confusing. Test were horrible; questions very different from his lectures. We had about 20 something ppl in our class, and later on 17 ppl dropped. Had to drop to survive.

I have only been in his class 4 weeks and it's a nightmare! Lectures are so unstructured you are lost most of the time. Rambles on and on and never gets to the point. His notes have to be close to 3 decades old! I'm going to hang with his class for now, but fear it will drop my 4.0 GPA. Think long and hard before taking his class!!!

His lectures were a waste of time. Learned nothing in them. His tests are from the book so read the chapters and don't waste your time going to class. His lectures have NO POINT!

SUPER SWEET, NICE GUY, horrible teacher!!! He skips chapters in the book during lecture and teaches as if we known the terminology for years. When it's lab time, you just want to go home and study the lecture chapters he talked on because you won't get the lab anyway. He teaches fast and won't slow down for you to get it. OLD TRANSPARENCIES!

Seriously, don't bother taking him. A total waste of my time. Unless you are willing to work extremely hard and learn absolutely NOTHING, go for it. I made a B in AP2 from him but I had to work extremely hard for it. Plus I had to teach myself. I just read the entire book and made sure I understood it.

By far the worst professor i had ever taken. Lectures are a waist of time and he is not specific on what the test will be based on. I was about to graduate with a perfect gap until i took him. If you care about your understanding for anatomy and physiology and your grade DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER.

I took this professor for A&P 1, lets just say by the final drop date the class size went from about 30ish to 7. I dropped with a "W"! At that point, I had learned absolutely nothing from the professor. Be prepared to read and teach yourself!! He's a very sweet professor and means well, but he needs to upgrade his projector and teaching skills!

Dr. Garcia is all over the place during his lectures so you can't really keep up with notes. Uses old transparencies and old tests. DO NOT TAKE HIM but if you must, old tests in Bio Spot will help you! This class is a whole lot of learning on your own. I never got much from the lectures! He doesn't like to help you, tells you to figure it out!!

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!im not some lazy student who doesn't study. I aced my anatomy 1 final & worked hard in that class (I had a different professor) but Dr. Garcia is terrible at teaching, all over the place, is not clear with instructions, and gives false info of what will be on the test. You basically teach yourself the entire semester. he sucks

I was lost half the time being in his class. His lab tests are fairly easy, but his lecture tests were hard. I'd say save your time and money and don't take his class, unless you're down to teach yourself the whole material.

Get ready to do everything on your own. His class is two hours long and everytime I walked in there I left more confused. He is super old school and DOES NOT communicate online. His lectures are indecisive and he jumps all over the place, he rarely follows the book. His exams make or break your grade and he includes questions not from your book.
