Wouldn't take again

He only graded one of our tests and gave everyone an A for the rest of the tests. The textbook that is required is helpful and it is easy to teach yourself which is what you'll have to end up doing. I can't speak on what he is like in an in person setting, but I would definitely not recommend taking him online.

Terrible lectures. Had him online and then in person for exams, he never shared examples only talked about his prewritten notes from years ago that he screen shared. Somewhat rude when you email him for help or ask him to grade anything even if its been weeks, he always makes excuses and has no structure or set schedule. No clear criteria.

Takes forever to grade assignments so you always feel behind and unsure of your grade status. Lectures might as well be powerpoint slides as they were pre-written and just shared on-screen with nothing new being written or examples presented. Felt like a waste of time attending this class.

Do not take this class unless you want to struggle and overall be sad :( and life is too short to suffer in a way that this class does. First of all, attendance is mandatory and each class is an absolute snooze fest. 80 minutes of confusing and pointless mumbling! This is basically a self taught math course, but with horrible tests.

Do not take this class! Very very confusing notes and lectures. Tests are hard and long. He takes forever to grade work so you never know what you have in the class. Bad at communicating and overall not a good professor!

I wish I read reviews on RMP about him before I took his class. He is a VERY kind man, but I've never met a professor who was so disorganized. The lectures were very lackluster. It was basically a self taught class, plus tutoring on the side for me to achieve my B. Again, he is a very caring and kind man, but it was tough for me to stay focused...

He is honestly, THE WORST professor you could ever ask for. The classes are long and boring. There's not really anything worth learning since he talks in such a monotone and flat way. I'd rather be watching golf than to listen to the NPC's lectures.

La Pummee is such a w teacher ngl. Brodie walked in on the first day of school blasting youngboy and rapping along to the lyrics. His favorite catchfrase is "I'll be back in a flash!''. he loves his students and isnt terrified by us at all! I love seeing his 2004 honda civic in the parking lot when I walk to class in the morning. Overall W teacher

Good and caring teacher. Unfortunately, he was all over the place with class. He jumped back and forth between subjects with little review. Would go too far into explanations on the subject and then would tell us to forget it so it wouldn't be confusing. Unable to judge how well I was doing in class because after almost 2 months nothing was graded.

DO NOT TAKE HIS LINEAR ALGEBRA CLASS. my first dropped class as a 4.0 student, he does NOT care about you or the class. No class material other than some notes he took the summer of 1875, NO SYLLABUS, NO STRUCTURE, NO HW, NO NOTHING. do NOT give him the benefit of the doubt, just take another professor who does the bare minimum.

Professor Lapuma is not perfect, but he is good. A lot of the enjoyment from his class comes from how much you can tell he admires math. I never had an issue with the time he took to respond to emails, and I liked that his textbook was free. His lectures can be unorganized at times, but as long as you are paying attention, you should be fine.

No practice exams. No homework. Lectures are okay but he doesn't really elaborate well. He doesn't do well with time. He always seems busy and rarely ever really takes his time to explain something well. He waves his hands and says thing's like, “ just believe me” when referring to why something works the way it does.

He volunteered to teach my class after the previous teacher was- being fired. He was teaching 3 other classes at the same time, so I can't be sure of his abilities as a professor. He did try very hard to make sure we succeeded in the class. He is quite old, so he talks a bit slow. I probably wouldn't take him again, but if you do, please be kind.

He is a good professor and really loves what he teaches. There were times where it was difficult for me to understand but if you do the homework assignments from the textbook you'll do fine, tutoring also helps. He allows one side of a page for a cheat sheet so that also helped a lot!
