I love this professor. She is a wonderful person. You are not allowed to use your calculator on the first test, but after that, you are. Everything is done on Course Compass, and the teacher gives you extra points if she makes a mistake. If you struggle with math, or you love math, she is the one to take. She is a wiz at math.

BOTTOM LINE, if you hate math or it's not an easy subject for you give R. Dellinger a try. She is amazing. We do have a quizz every class, but it's nothing hard, and actually ends up helping your grade. She gives study guides for each test, even the final, DO THEM ; THEY HELP. I took for college algebra ; got an A. I'm taking Precal now. ;).

Incredible math teacher! First A I've ever earned in a math class! I held off school for years bc I needed to take this math & wish I'd have taken her long ago. She's very easygoing and breaks the info down for you to be successful in class. Not necc to purchase book. We used MyMathLab the book is free online- just buy the code and not the book.

Had no hope for the class until I walked in and saw her face. I was instantly hooked... by the math (haha, lol). Had to drop the class midway through because of my bad grade, but kept attending.

If ever you need to take this class take Dellinger. She is chrystal clear. She has the hightest passing rate for a reason. She breaks it down into laymans terms. I took precal in high school and dreaded taking it at fccj. B/c of her i realize its quite easy and wish i did her w/ precal trig instead. I hate math and need a teacher to really break it

She's amazing and will always help you! She lets you have a cheat sheet on test! SO HELPFUL! Don't buy the book. I haven't opened it once and it was over $100. Just make sure you do the 2 sections of h/w that are assigned on the nights of class. Super easy. Not a lot of work! She also puts ALL notes on blackboard incase you miss class. TAKE HER!!

Ruth will take her time to make sure you understand the material taught. She is more than willing to stay after class and devote much of her personal time to helping students. Only thing that annoyed me was her handwriting, she has hard to read writing, so take your own notes. Very good teacher would take her again.

Very easy class. I'm amazed that everyone who takes the class doesn't get an A. All you have to do is attend class, and do the homework. Quizzes come directly from the homework. Tests come directly from practice tests. Professor does a good job explaining topics!

Fall Semester 2010 I failed College Algebra. I had to retake it Spring 2011 and decided to take an online class with Professor Dellinger. She is extremely helpful and wants all of her students to pass. If you read the text, study, and finish all assignments, you will be sure to pass (I got an A!). I was completely lost in math. I failed the first time I took College Algebra with another professor. Dellinger was suggested to me and she actually made me love math. Took class online on 16 weeks. Professor Dellinger is really helpful she wants everybody to pass the class and will work with you to the best of her ability to help you. The class contained 12 homeworks, 10 discussion boards, 6 Quizes, and 3 proctored tests. Most of the class can be understood following the website, but the book is needed some time

She replaced Test 1 with the Final grade, and allowed me to catch up on any assignments I missed. Definitely recommend her to everyone and anyone. Best Professor I've ever had. I had not been to school in 20 years or so. She is very encouraging and was really good at getting back to me with questions. This is an online course so there is a certain amount of self teaching. If you don't like math and are not self motivated take her course on campus. Great experience.

The first month already flew by and I was filled with anxiety because testing time was here. However Ms. Dillinger's encouraging words and willfulness to spend time with me on any problem until I understood and could resolve the issue was helpful. There are 3 proctored exams, no mandatory discussion board posts (only extra credit), and she is very willing to help or provide extra notes if you need it. Very willing to work with you and sends out nice e-mails to cheer you on!

I had to take this course for my degree. I have never been a big fan of math and I took the 8 week course instead either 12 or 16 weeks. It was extremely difficult to complete all tasks every week and had many nights of being up late. Mrs Dellinger was fantastic. She was helpful and cheered me along and reassured I could do it. Professor Dellinger is great! This was my second online Math with her. Not only was she there when I needed some clarification but she was also encouraging. The first three chapters were very difficult, so don't procrastinate! But its a piece of cake after that. First two exams were take home exams and the last one was at a testing center.

RDY is as caring as they come. She tells you up front not to buy the book and if that doesn't work for you to not take her class. She makes it well known she is ALWAYS available. The class is really easy and fun. She's a super fun teacher and teaches you to make it fun. She won't move along if not everyone in the class is clear on how a problem is solved. Professor Dellinger is really fantastic! She is understanding and incredibly willing to work with students to reach maximum success. On testing weeks - we could take a mathlab one day and take the exam the next class day or take the exam both days. (which really helped me) along with being able to have a cheat sheet! Simply the best math teacher I've EVER had.

I have taken Professor Dellinger for every one of my math classes. Math is my weakness, however after her amazing lectures and study time with Eric, I passed with an A. She offers bonus points for all class notes/ assignment and quiz notes. She offers 50% test/ final corrections for each problem you get wrong. No failing her class!

Online Mac1105, she's quick to respond to all emails. Willing to work with you if you struggle. Gives lots of extra credit. With all the extra credit offered you will not fail her class. Gives extra time is needed you are allowed to request extra time in your math classes (up to a year) Pearson is good for 6 months to a year for future classes.

I'm pretty good at math, but she's also a great professor. Her style of learning is very easy to understand, and she posts all of her notes online. If you do your homework before class you don't have to go! The tests are just like the homework. The only con would be that she does rush a little bit when she's teaching, but I recommend her! Take her!

She is the most genuine professor I have had thus far in my college experience. Math is one my largest fears and because of her I feel like I can actually be somewhat confident when I go to do problems now. Math has always been my weakest subject. I have taken MAC TWICE at UNF (both times making a C/ I need a B for major). My professors were not helpful & the class was impossible to pass. Pro. Dellinger gives lots of resources & help for homework & quizzes. She gives a practice exam before each exam & she allows a cheat on exams. Best teacher ever!!

I enjoyed taking this class ONLINE. She sends out weekly emails on whats due the following week and it always matches with the syllabus, therefore, you know what is expected of you. If you have a question she has several tools to help you understand and she is willing to work with you if you still don't understand. I would recommend this class.

Prof. D is great! I hate math with a passion, but the workload is so manageable that you'd have to be plain lazy to get behind. The final exam also replaces your lowest test grade, and each test has a practice test that counts as a test grade (easy A for 3 out of 6 tests). Don't get behind and you'll be fine.

All work is done in My MathLab. Some tests are online and some are proctored. A review test is required before taking the actual test so there is no reason to fail a test. She allows you to use a notecard front and back of notes on proctored tests. The first week had the most work since I chose a 7 wk course but after that it was pretty easy.

No textbook required but Math Xl is required for purchase. "Non-mandatory" attendance just means as long as all of your work is complete ahead of time through Math Xl, she will excuse your absence. Professor Dellinger-Young was amazing through the MGF1106 course. She was very helpful and would respond to emails very quickly. We had one proctored test which she allowed you to use a full page of notes and two take home test. This class was very informative and if you do you homework the test are very easy.

Everything is done through Pearson, you only have to do the hws & 3 tests, and the tests are graded heavier, but retries are unlimited. She's super sweet and forgiving, and gave me extra time to perfect my grade during her grading week. The road is paved for you, all you gotta do is walk!

I have always hated math & never thought I could get A's for it in college. But Ms. Dellinger is SO gracious with her class setup. You can retake HW , quizzes, & tests until you get the grade you want! You can get the A. She really wants you to succeed & is a rare teacher that allows you to do that at your own pace, at least with her online class!

Online class. I learned everything from the videos on mymathlab. I didn't learn anything from the professor directly (we only met 4 times online), but I took notes from all the videos and viewed examples for most of the homework problems, and I got an A in the class. Overall if you do the work you can get an A.

All of the work was on Mymathlab so you can work at your own pace and have several opportunities to receive a higher score on all assignments with unlimited amount of times to retake quizzes. There werent any protected testing. Math is my worst subject, if you do the work you will pass. Taking this professor again next semester for College Algebra

Did a C term 7week and she didn't teach during class- homework and (3) tests were the only thing graded, quizzes/notes were not. Lots of math problems (120 each week) but she was nice! Class is fast paced and she didn't help much, gave us time to work on homework in class. Fell behind often but everything is online and can take as many retries!

I love this professor! I suck at math, and I was super nervous to get into my math classes at fscj, but professor Young made it so smooth. All work is through mymathlabs, and its pretty much at your own pace. Test, homework and quizzes can be taken an infinite amount of times, so you are pretty much given an A as long as you do your work. TAKE HER

Prof Dellinger is amazing! I have always struggled in math, however, I got an A in this class. Everything is done in MML. 3 tests that are 75% of your grade, however, they are open notes/book etc., and unlimited attempts. Participation counts, but if you finish your work for the week you just have to let her know and are excused. Great professor!:)

If youre taking any math course and see her name, CHOOSE IT!! Shes such a great professor and really cares. Im terrible at math and i got an A and im taking her again for another math course.

I took it has a C7, so it was super fast paced. It was doable, but stressful since it was fast paced. Good professor overall!

The class hinges heavily on tests and quizzes (as all math classes do), but they are all open book and untimed. It's remarkably easy to get a 100% in this class as long as you put in the effort and study a bit. Professor Dellinger-Young is incredibly responsive to emails and will work with you if you find yourself lost. Highly recommend!

I love her. I took her for my Elementary algebra and my intermediate algebra and now I'm taking her for my College Algebra and I'm so excited. She was always there when you needed her and her work load was doable. She did not over work and you and she made sure she was there when you needed help. Very lenient. Very much recommended. All you have to do is pass all 3 exams with at least a 70 then you pass the class. Thats if you don't have time to do all 50 homework assignments on my math lab. No proctored exams. She is very caring and will help you with any question you need just do the work. I will be taking her for Calculus. Easy A. I took 4 other classes while taking her.

The quizzes are very understandable and step by step if you practice tests you can get good grades. Need to work on assignments to pass the class. Must take this class if you are not good at math just like me flexible with lectures and exams.

good teacher. lots of homework but this helps to know all of the different equations that need to be done. 3 proctored exams which are self proctored. i recommend this class to anyone. compressed class so it was alot of homework.

RDY Is one of the greatest professors on campus. Actually cares about students. I recommend anyone who struggles with math to take her classes. She provides online resources and actual video lectures of the course material if you don't understand. Really great communication. She will even meet at campus to help you! I've taken two courses with her.

Professor Young is an amazing math teacher. The class has a lot of MyMathLab homework, but it's doable as long as you stay on top of it. Definitely use unstuckstudy ai alongside the textbook to help with study prep. This class is a great option for anyone struggling with math.

She is great. Always available to help and encourage all the other available resources for help. No question is a stupid question and if you need help on one problem 3 x she will help you

Ms. Dellinger is an AMAZING teacher. I took her Hybrid Intermediate Algebra class and it was a breeze. She is very big on extra credit through your binder, utilizing the math tutor at the library, and all of your notes, so always show your work!!! The work is fairly easy just make sure to ask questions if need be. I would 1000000% take her again.

This is seriously the best professor that I've ever had. She is easy to reach, incredible kind, helped me sort through technical difficulties, and a great instructor. If you have a course that you can have her be your professor in then please take her.

My class was completely online, we just used Pearson. She gave us a calendar to stay on, however, all the work was due at the end of the class, so it was up to you completely on whether you did work that week. This class is mainly self taught.

Math has not always been my strong subject. This Professor is great at what she does. When she says work at your own pace, she really means that. If you do your assignments weekly, watch her tutoring videos, and go to tutoring if you struggle; you can pass this class. She made me see another light in this subject with her encouragement.

Professor Dellinger made this class super simple. None of the assignments are due until the end of the semester but she gives you a timeline to follow. You have like 3 HW each week. Theres a total of 3 tests which 2 were at home and 1 in class and you're allowed to use notes. Most is self taught, but she has videos and tutoring if you want. Easy A!

Professor Dellinger is very kind and wants you to do well!! All work is due last day of class so you have plenty of time to complete the assignments. Three exams last one has to be in person but don't stress yourself. She gives you all the resources so you CAN pass and be successful. Easy A just do the work.

Everything is at your own pace with suggested due dates. She's awesome. No on campus tests/finals. 10/10
