Mrs. Dunn is a great teacher with a lot of insight. Her tests are easy and the assignment is too. She grades with curves, I think. She doesn't require you to buy a book. She is a nice lady, but has an irritating tick. You'll learn a lot about life.

i really like this teacher. the class is very interesting and you really can learn a lot from this teacher. she doesn't require you to buy a book so you can save big $$ . i took her in the summer of o4 and i skip the final coz my average is high enough

Professor Dunn is very interesting. Her test is quite hard for me, but you you do all the work and extra credits you'll gruarantee an A. Her class is very intereting and you learn a lot from life, you'll also walk out of the classroom appreciate more about our culture differences.

I took her for Sociology and believe me, she does not play. She was really helpful and encouraged us with all our assignments. On thanksgiving day, she invited us to her house for those who did not have anywhere to go. I would recommend her to students who have not taken Soc . She is Stafford Campus.

Professor Dunn is an awesome teacher who is very clear and relates interesting stories to help you remember concepts. She is very willing to help students, if you ask. Her tests are hard, but not too hard and there is always an easy question for extra credit. She is awesome!

Explains loud and very well with clarity. Test are moderate as long as you know how to applied the concepts. She marks very hard on writing assignments which require couple pages but accepts early turn-in assignment to improve grade. Always do the extra credit it makes a lot of difference on grade.

She was hard, but fair. Her grading scale does not emphasize her tests, but does the assignments & she does give extra credit.

What a wonderful teacher she is! She shows through her words that she is going to be a tough teacher but infact she is not. She offers writing assignments 70% of the total grade plus only 3 tests for remaining 30%. I got the full 70% by just writing and submitting those assignments. Very very good teacher.

Great teacher! Let's you turn in papers early for corrections. I fully recommend taking advantage of this! She grades hard on grammatical errors, so let her see the paper before it is due so you can correct them. Lectures are really interesting! I loved this class! I got an 89 though bc I turned in a paper late. DONT DO THAT!!

Easy assignments and lots of extracredits. Lectures are intersting and gives lot of examples. Exempts from the final,if you have A average. Try to turn in your paper early. You will definitely increase your grade by doing so. You don't have to think twice before taking her. You will really enjoy. Dont forget to rate her after taking the class :)

Turn in work early--she will correct the mistakes. The study sheets are based closely to the material on the tests. If you know the general idea of the terms and do all of the assignments, extra credit on a reasonable basis an A is possible. My first test score was a 52, I did the extra credit and well on the next exams to come out with an A :)

If you want an easy A without working hard take her. She tells you stuff which will go straigh to your head and you wont forget it. VERY VERY EASY teacher

I'm a DE student. Her MP3 recored lectures are very interesting and personal stories add clarification to the subject. There is a lot, I repeat A LOT, of outside class work.

This class was very fair. The homework assignments are 10% of the grade and she tells you exactly where to find the anwsers the article summaries are a breeze and extra credit is ample. Take the time to turn in assignments early and she will lool over them and make corrections for you to resumbit. Over all great class.

She is one of the best she have been teaching for 18 years and knows her stuff. Pretty easy class, just do the Homework and short summaries and ull pass because the tests (including the final) are only 3o% of ur grade so i really recommend her for all ur SOCI :-)

Difficult class, but learned alot. Professor has her opinions but always well supported. Considering swiching major to Soc because of her. Should be mandatory class for any person to votes. Make sure to listen to online lectures, the review all concepts need for exams. She tells you EVERYTHING needed for the tests, & well prepared for class.

4 in class discussions worth 5% each just say your name and a brief opinion less than a min, 3 article summaries just summarize an article in the book (10% each)and the tests are easy she reviews the day before and most of it is in the test, thats 30% for each test..EASY A+..ppl who said otherwise are dumb and lazy you dont even need the book...

Very good teacher, interesting class. About 7 papers to write for the class, but is an easy grader, just have the required length and subject matter and you will get a 100. I really recommend this teacher.

She's an awesome teacher.Although she gave alot of assignments but believe me , she is a easiest grade .Just spend time to do homeworks and you get an A . She allows you to skip the final if your grade above 89.

She gives a lot of work!! A lot, but she provides her own book of information so you dont need to buy a textbook. If you make sure to study for all tests and final, you should make a High B. She also gives extra credit and she teaches you valuable information in a entertaining manor.

Great instructor! Very informative lectures and allow for class participation and debate. Kept the class interesting and learned of others views and outlooks. Yes there were alot of essays and she did take off several times but she kept everyone up to date via blackboard and learning web. Highly recommended.

For all of the individuals that wrote negative about Professor Dunn are just wrong.Ms.Dunn is a great teacher.I took her online for regular term.There is alot of work involved but the professor writes down in the syllabus everything that is expected.The book is used to write 3 Article Summaries.On top of that you have 4 Essays,3 HW and 3 Tests.Easy

Clearly states exactly what she wants done in assignments and allows early turn in for edits. Writing is mostly from your point of view-so if you have one you will do great. Some students are just slackers. You earn your grade here. I've been out of school for 10 years did very well. GREAT TEACHER even though I don't agree with views.

Great teacher! She gives a lot of work, but if u really wanna learn this is the class you should take. The best thing is that she's very organized, very clear and always prepared.

She is great. As long as you know to use a computer and follow her instructions (which are extremely clear) you get an A with her. She always says that she will take out 10 points for late assignments, but she'll never does. Her exams are exactly the same questions from her practice tests; you won't have any sosprises

GreaT Amount of work, article summaries as wells as essays are 5+pages and study Modules. This class will keep you busy everyweek. Dont take this class when ur taking 2 or 3 other classes bcuz u will fall behind, especially if ur a slacker..She missed alot of classes this spring. but other than that, her instructions are pretty straight foward.

This instructor is one of the best i have ever had. Her class is very easy especially her online. Just make sure you go through all the practise questions before you take each test and you will be fine.

I took this instructor Summer 2010. She assigned eight essays in four weeks. It was hard to meet the deadlines. We used the Readings on Sociology text for 4 of the essays. She has 1,450 slides in powerpoint she uses for lecture. It is a hard class, but she gives you two ways to pass. Do the essays and lecture to pass. Otherwise, you'll surely fail.

This teacher is one of the easiest teacher. Yes there are a lot of essays,,,, but all you have to do is,, write... write and write... and complete the no. of lines she has told to. And her tests are way too easy,,, just complete the practice test,,, and you are done. I just studies and hour or two before test and I always had more than 100.

This teacher is very energic and enthusiastic about what she teaches. She makes the understanding of the topic easier by using everyday objects to get points across. There is alot of writing for this class..SO TAKE THE TIME AND DO THE ESSAYS. SHE IS VERY BIG ON THE LENGTH. Pay attention & listen you will pass.

Do all the assignments, join each discussions and take first and second test as well. You still get A without the final test.

Teacher is very easy going. NO TESTS or FINALS PEOPLE!!! Only couple writing assignments and few quizzes. Got a perfect 100. She's cool and down to earth. Highly recommend her class.

She gives out so much work!More essays than 2 english classes put together. Essays were due each week starting in March. Between 3-6 pgs long. On 4 essays you have to have a mandatory class discussion. And there were about 13 or so quizzes that were also due online. Essays need to be in the EXACT format she wants. Just stay focused and you'll pass

This teacher is so nice and entertaining. THERE IS NO FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She gives out alot of work , but if your not lazy , you will be fine. There are no test at all which grantees a A or B in the class

She's a good teacher, but theres alot of writing and reading...so far this class is good, but i hate the class discussions cause sometimes i dont know what the are about...Overall shes a good teacher. Theres also quizzes which are easy...they come striaght out the practice quizzes so you cant fail them...You also need the book..you reallyy need it.

Professor Dunn was a great professor, I took her online 10 week class during the summer and it was difficult at times to manage with 2 other classes and a full time job but you just have to read and do all of the assignments. The quizzes are a "gimme grade," the practice quizzes are the same as the real quiz. She keeps it interesting, I loved it!

This class was very good I never had an interest in Sociology nor would I have read half of the stories in this class on my own but now I look at society differently. If you do as the directions state you can not fail this class add the word count on all writings, responses and you are for sure to get an A......Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had Ms. Dunn for a 2 week course and I worked my butt off from 10am-8pm everyday. You will do a lot of reading or you will fail. She was very helpful and responded quickly to all emails. I learned a lot in this class.

I took this class during the winter mini session. Mrs. Dunn was awesome. We didn't have any quizzes, exams or a final to complete; only 3 forum topics total. Don't get me wrong, there is a LOT of reading and writing to do, but if you do the work, then it's an easy A. I made a 100 in her class.

I took Prof Dunn's online 8-week class: huge load of readings, 4 intense concentration assignments and no final exam. Pay attention to DUE DATE. I have to study really hard to get an A bc of the time condense, but it's worth. Very intelligent and great knowledge guidance instructor. I suggest you take her regular term. Great Professor!

Mrs. Dunn does gives a fair amount of work. Mostly reading assignment's. Her lesson plan is given out to you. Its up to you to complete it all by the due dates. She does not accept late work. I took her class online for 8 weeks. I stayed very busy reading a doing the work. It is an easy A but you will have to do the work.

Professor Dunn is great! 4 long homework assignments, you need the textbooks for this and she doesn't accept late work. 4 easy class discussions. MANY extra credit options. She never gave a test. If you are willing to do the homework and show up to class on discussion day, it's an easy A. I loved this class!

Professor Dunn is quite a character. My first day, she had purple hair and an octopus hat. She tends to give long lectures, but they're interesting. I recommend you open your mouth and speak; she doesn't do silence. There is a lot of reading, but not too bad. She doesn't accept late assignments, so be on time!

Ruth Dunn was amazing. on my first day of class, she was playing rock music and wearing an elephant hat!!!! I was really worried but dont let that worry you. show up to class, do her assignments and it will be an easy A. I got an A and Im so glad I took her!!!! What a mess! First 4 weeks same thing - over and over again- how to use EO. We didn't have a single worthy lecture, but she is interested in sociology, so I learned some useful websites just to broad my horizons in the future. The Ritzer book is great, too bad I didn't have time to enjoy reading it because of 12-15 pages assignments every 3 weeks

Professor Dunn was AMAZING. She outlines all of the grading criteria so you know exactly what's going on. In cases of cancelled classes, she'll alter due dates to give the students more time. You definitely need your textbook because (at least in my lecture) she didn't give tests and instead did "reflections", which are summaries of chapters.
