Very nice prof. Took this class CDI (internet) and she made sure we knew exactly what to do at all times. She is lenient grader. She assigns three or four books to read, but they are quick reading. She is very interested in the students success and very approachable. Responds to emails very promptly. Surprisingly a fun class.

She really takes a huge interest in her students. Lots of reading, but it is a literature class. She tries to make sure we all have fun while learning. Easy, but well earned A for sure in her class. Responds to emails very quickly and releases all of the assignments at once so you can work ahead in class if you are into that sort of thing.

She is a great teacher. And, yes, she does give A's (unlike what the person below wrote). She just expects some quality in students' work before she hands them an A. I got an A on both class projects, and I'm not a straight A student or anything. She is very helpful and mindful of situations that can occur throughout the course of the semester.

Took her online American Lit since 1865 and it was not that hard.. there were 6 novels to read and there would be a test over whichever novel was assigned about every 2 weeks. So there was practically NO work just read the book and pick 2 of the 5 essay questions to answer. Very BROAD test questions.. Project sucked, but overall LITTLE work to do..

Don't sign up for this professor if you want an easy A. She makes you work for it! I ending up dropping her summer class because I couldn't juggle all of the work she assigned with my full-time job. I plan to retake it again during the fall. Now that I know what to expect, I think I will do a lot better job next time.

Do not take her if you are juggling work, other classes, and a LIFE!! I had to work extra extra hard and spend a majority of my SUMMER reading all the stuff she assigned. She is very clear on what she expects though. IF you work hard and it shows...she will reward you!

She is not very easy on the work load. I spent my vacation reading and still took another week off work just to catch up. Watch the video and take good notes, my advice to you and do not fall behind. Go to the mandatory orientation for detail bc she is not very detail in her emails. Overall a good class when not crambed in 3 weeks.

Very nice but a hard grader so pay attention. She tells really funny stories, mostly about her weight, constantly. Really does care about what we are learning and will help you if asked. I would take her again!

She is a really good teacher. I took her during the fall and i did good. She goes over your essay with you and tells you what you need help with. Very fun teacher. She is willing to help if asked. I would recommend her to anyone.

Internet course. Read 6 books and turn in papers. Option for extra credit. 10 quizes consist of writing 100 word essays. Pretty straight forward. Books about Texas. Great course.

I like her teaching style with imposing orders because the essay writes itself. She helps if you ask and goes over your errors individually. She grades hard on papers, so pay attention since it's a major grade and counts two separate grades. Other than that, show up to class and do journal entries and you get an easy A. You don't even need a book.

I loved her! She does expect you to follow her instructions well, but she makes sure she gives them to you multiple times! If you show up, and do your brainstorming and imposing order, you will do fine in her class! She goes over grades individually, and takes the time to explain what you need to do to improve. She truly seems to care!

You earn what you put into it. She does treat the course on a more serious level than I expected. She gives daily quizzes, and there is a lot of reading (shocking for a literature course!). The quizzes are very easy, if you read the material, you will pass it. At first I didn't care for her, but after a couple weeks I liked her and enjoy the class.

I had Doc for 2327 and 2328 - she's meticulous about formatting and not committing any of her 7 Errors and she definitely expects you to READ and THINK. If you're looking for an easy grade, she's not the professor for you. But if you have the initiative to actually DO THE WORK, you'll do splendidly in her class. 1 of the better professors @ TCC

I enjoyed this class until she started graded journals! The quizzes where easy but her journal's where very hard. She grades you on typing skills rather than Literature. She is very rude!I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LADY TO ANYONE EVER !!!!

Doc is one of the best english teachers i have had. Her insturctions are very clear. The journals are easy just make sure that you type in Arial 14 and double space just about everything. The essays are really easy. Doc even helps you on ideas and how to improve your essay after she hasd read your rough draft. I would recommend her to anyone

Taken fall 2011 Lit. Getting an A with only one more lession to go. Gotta FOLLOW her direction and put some real thought into the Journal assign. Lots of reading, usually have a 2 easy test and easy dissusion board post and Journal assign which is the harderst part and weighs the most point per lession with lots of time to do. No Final or tests

I don't understand where all these negative comments come from, perhaps lazy students. I love her class have taken her for Eng. 1 and american lit. and got A+ on both classes. Yes there is reading and writing but its a literature class!Yes she might be picky on how she wants you to write your papers but she is only preparing you!

As long as you follw her instructions exactly you will make an A. You can attempt quizzes twice. So write them all down the first time and then find the answers and then go back and make a 100! There is an opportunity at the end of the semester for extra credit. All in all I really feel this was not complicated at all.

Super easy! Just follow directions to the letter. The quizzes for each reading assignment are only 10 questions and you get two chances to get a perfect score. (she tells you the answers you got wrong on the first so you can correct your mistakes). Journals are not difficult if you actually do the reading. All in all, for a Lit class, a breeze!

Great professor she makes sure you understand the assignments and really helps alot on how to write an essay. She's made my semester a piece of cake she mostly talks alot but is not boring at all easy A!!

EASIEST TEACHER EVER. class was so simple. and she is seriously so nice & caring. Journals everyday so attendance is mandatory to get an A. She makes class so interesting and is such a good writer. Doc McAdams is an amazing teacher! Very funny & easy to talk to. Took 2 of her classes English & Literature both classes were fun & easy.Lots of reading but that's to be expected. Lots of essays to write but she makes the assignments interesting. One of the best teachers @TCC. She really cares about her students.

I took lit online, the class is very easy but too much journals and quizzes. You need to follow the teacher instructions to the letter otherwise, we will loose too much points for no reason!! I made a A.

took this prof online, she obv loves her job & is always avail via any form of comm. She's very specific on how she wants you to write journals and dis boards so make sure you follow those, she grades very harshly on it. You have this class in the bag. Every quiz/exam, she gives you two tries. Idk how anyone could make below a B! Highly Recommend.

I took this course online over the summer. It was a little scary at first because there was an assignment due everyday! It was easy busy work. She is a tough grader on assignments but quizzes are multiple choice and you can correct wrong answers with a 2nd chance. Final was multiple choice also. I would take the class again with Doc.

She needs to calm down with her harsh grading. I feel that is good at some point, but after that I don't even know what she really wants. Overall good professor (teaching).

Doc. McAdams will Def get you ready for the world. She explains what she wants very clearly and gives you many opportunities to get a good grade in her class. JUST BE SURE TO BE ON TIME! Great Professor I will be taking her for Comp. 2 next semester! !!

I look her lit class online and absolutely loved it! There is a lot of busy work, but once you get the hang of how she grades (follow her instructions EXACTLY and site lots of sources on papers!!) I thought she was extremely helpful, I had a qustion about an assignment and texted her, and I received a response within 10 minutes. Take her!

Her online class involved a lot of work but the assignments didn't take long. She is a reasonable grader. Your chances of an A are high.

Daily assignments are given but just stay on top of the reading. I enjoyed this class so much more than I ever expected. For a summer class there was so much variety in the reading; not just Naturalism & Cowboy works. Doc is a wonderful professor, makes herself extremely available and is so easy to talk too. I highly recommend her class.

I highly recommend this teacher. Her class was well organized, she gave extra credit, and if you are making an A in her class you do not have to take the final. She does have quizzes but they are extremely easy and she gives you two tries. She also reply's to questions quick.

Her class is real simple and easy to understand. I enjoyed the reading and her assignments. Except for one thing. On one of her assignment descriptions she implied that if an author is gay, it's a good reason to not read of that author in high school (Walt Whitman)... It was surprising. She's a great teacher though.

TAKE THIS TEACHER!! She is so passionate about her students and you will learn a lot. Super easy because she is so helpful and she makes sure you know exactly what is expected with every single assignment she gives. I made an A. All you have to do is be on time to class and you will have no problems.

Talk about a fun and very educational professor! There was so much to learn in this class and I enjoyed every moment. Plenty of nutritional guest speakers, daily journals, no exams and no major essays. Expect to work in the garden and YOU WILL NEED GARDENING BOOTS! Easiest A you can ever make as long as you PARTICIPATE. Plenty of extra credit ops!

Let's just say there's enough work for the week, she assigns 34 assignments, which all requires reading or watching a video, quizzes were 10 questions with 15 minutes to answer sometimes a journal or discussion board response would be an assignment as well. Not really hard if you read and take notes an A is not hard to come by.

I took her American Literature to 1865 during Summer 1. While there is a lot of work, it is clear and precise. I found her to be straight forward and very supportive. She does not accept late quizzes, but gives you chances to make up for it. I loved her and her organization so much that I am taking American Literature Since 1865.

Not much to say, it was a straightforward class. Although my biggest gripe was her grading and feedback. She'll take off 10+ points for grammaticalmechanical errors without providing a reason for those point deductions.

I enjoyed her reading and assignment.

Took this as a summer II course. There were assignments due almost daily, which I wasn't used to. Granted, they were quizzes, discussion boards or journals, but almost daily assignments. You can work ahead, but work isn't graded early. Feedback wasn't very specific. A big extra credit was offered. No final if making A by end. Nice professor.

I really enjoyed Dr. McAdam's class this semester. Very clear in what she wants from you. There are daily grades so it would be a good idea to show up. I have never had any issues with her or her class. There is no textbook you just write papers and the daily journals. If you follow the very clear instructions she gives you should pass.

She's a good professor she cares about the class and the students. She's really specific you have to do the assignments exactly how she says or she will deduct points. If you're late you won't get credit and if your assignment isn't turned in beginning of class it's a 0. ENGL 2 was a garden class so get ready to work outside.

This class was amazing. You will really enjoy this class.

ONLINE CLASS - Opens entire semester at beginning. Weekly quiz's, discussion board, and reading. Quiz's can be taken twice!! If you have an A at the end of semester you don't have to take final! four journal's throughout semester-were really easy though because she gives interesting topics to write about. WOULD TAKE HER AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT!!!!

This was an experimental course, it was a food based class. Which was very interesting, we created a garden and took care of it. We had tons of guest speakers,. I would recommend her again, she offers a lot of extra credit. She assigns a lot of short essays, very simple.

Too her class on-line. Prof. McAdams (Doc is her preference) is AWESOME!!!! Lots of grades (but gives you multiple attempts). If you are willing to put forth the effort and need a literature credit; TAKE HER!!!!

I will be taking her again for sure. Awesome with helping her students clearly understand what she wants from them.

There is a lot of reading but it's short bits (10-20pgs) of a story. She picks good stories and you either have to write a journal, discussion or take a 10 question quiz. The material was straight forward- took it online this summer. If you like history and reading, this is a great class. Nice break from the norm of college classes.

I took her summer 2 for American Literature 2327. You'll definitely need the textbook, she has a lot of assignments, but they're pretty simple just read and watch the videos and you'll do fine. If you have an A in the class you won't have to take the final. I do highly recommend her.

She is very clear about what she expects from her students. I really enjoy her class and look forward to going to it. She really cares about her students as well. Love her class and would definitely take her again. Make sure you show up for class every time or else your grade will be effected.

Doc is one of the best profs ever! You need to show up ON TIME to her class for a grade though. We've done short essays throughout the semester and she gives great feedback. She teaches you more than just English and gives you great advice on college and life as well. I'll be taking her again next semester.

I took Professor McAdams for English Comp 1 and she is a great professor. She give good feedback on essays, and she shows you exactly how she wants you to write them. If English is one of your weaker subjects, then this is a good class to take. If you're good at writing then this class will be relatively easy. Show up to class - there are journals!

Great professor, easy class but rewarding. If you are late or don't go to class, your grade suffers because you cannot make up assignments. Only a few papers are due, and she gives great feedback. This class is also a gardening/food class so you get to learn a lot about food, growing it, and eating it. Extra credit opportunities are available.

Took this class as an online summer class. I made an A. It wasn't super easy but it wasn't hard. You have to read! If you don't read you will fail. There were assignments due daily. Quizzes for videos & reading assignments, they weren't hard. Journals and discussion boards werent hard either, again you must read. I actually enjoyed this class!

Dr McAdams is a great teacher. I took her class online in summer. Lots of reading but the stories are really interesting. Lots of assignments but it was an accelerated course so that was expected. She was really accessible and responded quickly. She grades fair and gives great feedback. I would recommend her class!

She's great at ensuring you know exactly what is expected of you. As long as you show up and do the work (which is not too much) you will pass. She illustrates her lectures by showing us what we're supposed to do. She is a hands-on teacher who cares about the success of her students. I changed my schedule for next semester to be in her ENGL 1302.

37 assignments for entire class. 6 journals/discussion boards, the rest are quizzes. Quizzes and tests are very straight forward multiple choice. All the assignments were open before class even started. Class could be knocked out in a weekend or two. She is very generous with extra credit.

Dr. Ruth is an amazing professor! As long as you are there at class ON TIME, you will do great. Pay attention and participate. She really cares about her students and shares amazing stories but you have to put in the effort and show you care as well. Super great teacher and I would take her again in a heart beat.

I love Doc's class! She taught me so much especially when it's concerning my own health. I took her in the Fall, will teach you how to garden properly. You must participate as well as show up when having guest speakers. You will do research for gardening, and you will type up essays! Make sure you follow her directions!

Took the accelerated online class for American Lit II. There were assignments due almost every day, but she opens the course early and you can knock them out pretty quickly. Essays were not very long, which made it so much easier than anticipated. Very generous with extra credit. She wants you to get an A. Highly recommend and would take her again.

I love McAdmas. She is my favorite professor. She is very detailed when she grades, but gives great feedback. She makes sure we understand the assignments and her class is very easy as long as you show up and do the work. I would take her again and again. She has a great personality as well. She is quick and clear when she respond to emails.

She was such a sweet lady! I had taken this class with a different professor and I failed because I could not keep up. Attendance is mandatory! Make sure you arrive on time if not you will find yourself failing. You do write a couple essays but as long as you do what she asks you'll do great! She is very specific.

This was a perfect example of how an online class should be. The teacher made the entire course available to us on day one and allowed us to work ahead if need be. The required work and discussion assignments were very reasonable. You have to try but its very doable

Easiest class I've ever taken in college. No papers, just quizzes, discussion posts and journals, plus all of the coursework is released on the first day so you can work ahead. There's a fair amount of work with something due everyday, but it doesn't take long to finish the assignments at all. Take this class with this professor! 10/10 recommend.

Took this for Summer II class online. Everything was released online on day one with clear instructions laid out. You can finish it as early as you want. Also there is extra credit. The work can be time consuming but as long as you do it, you'll pass and if you apply yourself well, you'll get an A. Would highly recommend this class & teacher.

This class is basically busy work. So many quizzes, a few journals and discussion boards. You can skip final if you already have 1164 points (A). Does offer EC. Final is made up of previous questions so make a review. Class is super easy just a lot of reading. Look up stories, save as pdf, and search for answers. Book not really needed.

Good teacher. DON'T BE LATE!! She thinks out of the box and is FUN! She is tough but she teaches you everything she wants you to know.

so many quizzes with 15 minutes to do but 2 tries, 4 'journals' & 4 discussion boards. There are deadlines but she said you can have it all done the first week if needed. Loved this class. Loved the stories & McAdams really loves this subject. Super easy. But if you have over 1600 points then no final. Answers questions quickly. must have book.

I liked that the whole class was opened from the very beginning. The video quizzes were annoying but overall the class was good. Her schedule was odd as it was spread out on random days so make sure you keep track of due dates! If you have an A, you don't have to take the final.

This class was really good. All the work is open at the beginning with the exception of the final. She is available to help and gives good feedback. The schedule of all assignment due dates are given ahead of time as well and they lock at on those dates. The only way to fail is missing assignments

i took her class as my first college class and I loved her from day one. She is a great teacher and she is very helpful. She does not tolerate tardiness so make sure you're on time for her class!! i would definitely take her class again.

Professor McAdams is an awesome teacher. She gives tons of quizzes but no tests till the final, all of the answers are from the quizzes. Discussion posts are an easy A, just do it. No papers just journal entries. 2 attempts on quizzes, take the quiz first and then find answers from the question. Quizzes are exactly the same. 200 points in e.c.

Great professor. Her class isnt a typical English class where youre gonna read books NO ! show up to class and do the work and you will definitely pass. Also, she likes to garden so you will have to garden and if you dont than I prefer you to drop. You do have 1 research paper for the final and she does give the opportunity for extra credit.

I took this class during the summer online class. Prof opens entire course so you can work ahead. Extra credit allowed me to push for an A. Clearly lays out point system to know your grade so if you already have an A, you don't have to take the final. I would take again.

I took her summer online course and I'm glad I did. Wasn't a challenging class, she made everything accessible. Just a bunch of quizzes but they are easy and you have two attempt for each one. Only have to write a little.

I enjoyed my class with Doc. Mcadams. From the beginning I knew she would be a caring and respectful professor. Her essays were very easy and she graded them fairly. I passed with an A and didnt even have to do the last essay.

I love Professor McAdams!! I just finished taking her 2327 online class and I loved it! She opened all the assignments the first day of class, so you can work ahead if you like to stay ahead! She answers all questions and she is very nice! I'm taking her again for 2328!! She is awesome!

I took American Literature I with Dr. McAdams. She uploaded all her coursework before class even started. Her quizzes are all super easy and with 2 attempts. Her DB are simple and she also has some journals. Everything is based on the book required. I bought the book online for a few bucks. She offers 200 points of extra credit. Easy A!

Dr. McAdams clearly sets out the expectations and due dates for everything at the beginning of the course. She gives you access to all of the material and an amazing extra credit opportunity from day 1, which would open later in the semester. This allows the student to go at their own pace, which is amazing! The book is required! Amazing instructor

There are a lot of assignments for her online class, but if you keep track of them using a planner you will be fine. Offers up to 200 points of extra credit at the end of the semester which boosted me from a B to an A. This class is super easy and is a great GPA booster. You need textbooks to complete everything in this class.

A lot of reading but her quizzes are straight out of the book. I took her 8 week online course so there was homework almost everyday but it was super easy. Take this professor!!

Does not require a textbook but is big on ATTENDANCE. There are only 3 essay papers throughout the semester. She tells you exactly what she needs from you as a student. Also, she has funny stories to tell with her lectures

I took this class online for Wintermester- she requires you to buy a book online which will be used the entire class. She is extremely clear on her grading criteria for the discussion boards, essays, responses, and all work. You must read a lot of short stories but its pretty straight forward. WORK FOR IT AND THIS CLASS IN AN EASY A!

I took Ms. Adams online class for Summer 2020. All the course work was available a week early and that gave me a great advantage since I work. There is a lot of reading, journals, videos, quizzes, and discussion board. If you take the opportunity that Ms. McAdam gives for the quizzes and the extra credit, you will do great in the class.

Dr. McAdams is very sweet. She is very health driven so if you're into that TAKE HER! We had about 12 assignments and half of them had to do with the documentary "Fed Up". As long as you complete your assignments and pay attention to the documentary, no way you don't make a A!

I took Doc for a maymester and all assignments were opened a week before class began. You work at your own pace besides the DB because you have to respond to two people. Very clear on how she grades DB and Journals. Easiest 2 week class ever of and no book!

Doc was such a great professor I took this class during a maymester course and she had everything opened a week before the start date and was very clear on what she wanted from us She even gave us extra credit if we ran into some life trouble so we could have a lifesaver if we needed it She gives good feedback and grades quickly TAKE HER CLASS

Doc is a solid choice and an easy A, even for Maymester! She opens the entire course on day one and it's extremely organized with very clear directions for everything. Gives extra credit and you don't have to take the final if you earn an A. You do have to read but she makes it interesting and all very doable. Would absolutely take her again!

This was a very easy A but she doesnt understand that things happen. If youre 1 minute late to class(literally 1 minute),you dont get credit for the work done that day. She will shut the door in your face. Its a class based on food, you will build a garden. No final,1 essay done throughout semester so you turn intro one day then next is outline etc

Doc wants everyone to be punctual. Attendance does matter! Very health driven ! Brings speakers to talk their all very interesting, and we got to build a garden too. She gives extra credit. No big essays, lots of journals but not anything hard. I have to say shes been one of my favorite professors ever. Take her class, be on time, do the journals !

Doc is a good instructor. She has guest speakers come and talk to the class which are interesting. We did not have to read. The Fed up documentary was interesting.We planted a garden. It was fun.

I took her online and day 1 everything is open, there are 4 journals which don't have to be long , 5 discussion boards 10+ short tests that are only like 10 questions and are not hard (Not proctored). The textbook is online you can find a pdf of it so I would use that. if you have an A u dont have to take the final also and she gives extra credit

She sometimes can get cranky, so be sure to have thick skin around her. The papers have to be done a certain way so be sure to following the instructions and she can take off points over simple things. Do not arrive late to her class because she will not let you and you will lose credit for that day. The class was interesting due to nutrition.

This course is very great to take and very easy. There are 4 journals including an extra credit one at the end and there are 5 discussion boards which are very easy just be sure to read the directions. The class is test-heavy but they are only 10 questions and the final is 50 and it is over all the quizzes. I highly recommend taking her.

Doc is a good instructor. She has guest speakers come and talk to the class which are interesting. We did not have to read much. The Fed up documentary was interesting.We planted a garden. It was fun. I would recommend this professor if you aren't a big fan of writing. I will say please try to stick to the required formatting and do you'll do fine.

The professor is great. However, she is very strict about attendance so if you regularly show up late to classes, even by 5 minutes, or know you will miss days, be prepared to take a grade hit. I personally had a difficult experience in this class due to that, but if that is not an issue for you, this course and prof is great!

Most interesting English class I've ever taken. The class revolves around the importance of eating healthy and quite a lot about gardening. I learned more than just English in this class and I do not regret it at all. The prof cares a lot she's just VERY strict about attendance hence why I ended up with a C. Extra credit at the end of the semester.

I loved her because she was very detail oriented on how she wanted things done and she let you know from the beginning.

Not your typical English class. You will plant a garden and all assignments will be "journals" based on what you learn about health & gardening throughout the class. No homework and the journals are easy if you follow her directions. The only thing is she's not very understanding when things come up and doesn't give explanation for grades. Loved it

Easy to take in 8-weeks. Daily quizzes, journals, or discussion boards. Had an extra credit journal, and if you had an A at the end of the semester, you were exempt from taking the final. Responded quickly to emails and gave helpful/constructive feedback. She gave clear instructions. She unlocked everything at the start so you could work ahead.

She gives you days in advance to have time to prepare for the work she gives. I would recommend you to take her class. After 14 years of being in school Mrs.McAdams taught me new things. At first this class may be scary but her criteria's are very clear. Follow what she wants exactly and you will be fine.

VERY ATTENDANCE STRICT, lowkey a grouch but ez class

This Prof it's good i took her 8 week course. Get ready to write 250-300 word essay but make sure you are early she takes attendance by having u write your name and time you got there if you are 5 min late you are count absent for the day.

This was a class that was stress-free but did require much attention. I took ENGL2328 in a shortened online version, meaning there was a new story and a new paper due every day. Though, it was nice to get ahead of schedule, and there is an extra credit paper that is worth A LOT of points.
