Ruth is a very understanding and helpful instructor. She will make every concept clear by discribing examples unitl you have reached an understanding. I recommend you use Ms. Wilcox for your Psychology course.

She is one of the best instructors I've had, and I would recommend her to anyone. I learned so much in her class, and it wasn't extremely hard.

I really enjoyed Ruth's class. This was my second time taking soc because the first time my instructor sucked. Ruth explains everything thoroughly and she knows her stuff!! Tests were easy and we had lots of extra credit!! Get in her class if you can, it'll be worth it!!

Ruth is an awesome instructor! She outlines notes for you on the board, gives you examples to clarify things and welcomes questions. Her tests are worded clearly (no trick questions)and very easy (with a little studying). You get so much info in her lectures that you don't have to study a whole lot. I definitely recommend her!

Ruth is a good teacher and makes the class intresting, a few days she missed class, she is delinquent about grading tests and posting results on blackboard, but would recommend her

She is an excellent teacher. Very easy to get along with. Will work with you if you if you are absent. Offers extra credit, which you don't really need. I regret buying the book because the tests are based on lecture notes. Tests are easy if you attend class and take good notes. Attendance is worth alot of points!

She is kind, funny, and knows a lot. She's good about answering questions and doesn't give too much work. If you take good notes and pay close attention (and actually show up to class), the tests are easy. She's extremely sensitive if you're having problems outside of school and need some extra time. Good sense of humor.

Ms. Wilcox is wonderful! She is funny, kind, and helpful. Her teaching method is excellent and there really is no need for a book. All of her tests are from her lectures. Just take good notes (you can use them on all of the tests but the final). If you are happy with your grade before the final, you don't have to take it! I highly recommend her!

By far one of the BEST instructors @TCC! Learned so much both academically & personally from her class. She knows her subject inside-out & makes it interesting. Really cares about her students. No hw-5 tests (multchoice,match,t/f) & 4E/C ops. Can drop lowest test grade. No need for the book-tests are straight from lecture notes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Ms. Wilcox was truly an awesome teacher! I am not a psychology major, & had not had the class that was required to be in DevPsych, but Ms. Wilcox was kind enough to let me in anyway. Best teacher I have had in my college career so far. She doesn't the book, but she tells you anything & everything on the board & she gives a study guide & gives you a day to go over it w/ her in class. If you don't make @ least a B on every test, you aren't coming to class or hearing what she is saying. She is the best instructor I've ever had!

Patient, Kind, excellent Mastery of knowledge for this course and beyond. Her tests are not easy, but she gives good study guides. If you are a good note taker you can fill in study guide from your notes. excellent style of teaching. She makes learning Psychology FUN!!!

Ruth is a great professor, very informative and keeps class interesting with new content matter, videos and ted talks. She prepares you well for the tests and they 95% match up with her lecture. She also grades on a curve, Would taker her again!

One of my favorite classes!

She's a very nice lady and loves teaching. You do have to go to class because the tests are based on her lectures, not so much the book. She gives out study guides and offers a good amount of extra credit but I got an A without doing any extra credit. Tests are a bit difficult but she takes off your lowest test grade at the end of the semester.

Ruth is incredibly well organized, fair, & communicates what you need to know clearly. She's also a great listener and gives amazing feedback (!). She tries to make lecture varied for individual learning styles, which I really appreciate. She knows her psychology in and out, and takes her students seriously. She's a real gem--highly recom'd!

Learned so much and had my mind blown so many times. Tests are 100% lecture based, but if you pay attention and study hard (study guides provided), you'll be fine. Got 109% on one test!

You could not have a better teacher than Prof. Wilcox. An Easy A if you study the exam reviews and do the practice quizzes ahead of time.

Wilcox was a good teacher. The way she gave her lectures was something that I didn't like, but she was a lovely person. She is super helpful and always gives good feedback. She drops your lowest test grade at the end of the semester. YOU NEED AN ACCESS CODE FOR HER CLASS. You don't need a physical copy of the book. I would take her class again. :)

Doctor(Professor) Wilcox, was the best choice I could have picked as far as Psych went. Very understanding, if you miss class make sure you get the notes from another classmate. She doesn't talk down to you and is very responsive, gives lots of extra information. Doctor Wilcox left me wanting to take more Psychology courses.

Professor Wilcox's lectures were very informational and weren't boring at all. She encourages discussion- which can get a little annoying when some classmates like to drag it on & on and can be really irritating. Offers 5 extra credit opportunities. Drops lowest test grade. If you want to do good on the test which are a huge part of your grade you do need to attend class. If you study you will receive an A on all tests. Shes a great lecturer. She makes learning fun

I took her Intro to Psychology class Fall 2018 and it was my favorite class I've ever been in. Her lectures are interesting and easy to stay engaged with. Gives you a clear study guide for all exams, if you pay attention and study them, there's no reason you shouldn't get an A. She was very caring, and was so supportive of me as a student & person.

She was super great. Lectures but theyre fun and always interesting. Straight forward with tests. Study your notes!! Theyre the exact same as the test. Even if you take the class just for credit which is what I did and most of my class did, it is worth it and you will want to take it again

Lectures are all hand-written but very easy to follow. We had 26 chapters of LaunchPad assignments. This busy work was super easy. We had a total of 4 exams. The final was optional and it was a combination of all the tests, which were handed back after each exam.

I took her class during summer so it was 8 weeks compared to 16 so the work was a little too much BUT even then I was able to get an A in her class. Totally recommend. She emails fast, answers all questions and is very involved. I also took this online so there was a lot of reading involved but I learned so much. I would definitely recommend.

She is an amazing professor! The textbook was online and free. As long as you write down what she writes down on the board for your notes and write examples she gives you its a piece of cake!! Prof. Wilcox was amazing when it came to learning about psychology, she explained things very well and she knew how to bring scenarios into the lectures so we could understand better. Many extra credits are given, her work is easy but just make sure you go to class because it's important. I would gladly take her class again if I could.

She is an amazing professor and if you need developmental psych as a pre-req take her! Your test are take home and open book. Online assignments are due on a weekly basis and take no longer than 30 minutes to complete. It is overall a really easy going class! Easy A+

DevPsyc was an easy class with her. Super nice and chill. Exams are given before the weekend and are taken home. Lectures were interesting. She asks if class has any questions every so often. Overall, easy A and would definitely take her class again.

This course had a light workload with 1 DB due a week w/ peer responses, and throughout the semester 2 group projects, 2 papers, and 5 exams (w/ the lowest scoring exam getting dropped off). She was always available to answer questions and would get back with me within 24 hrs. The entire course is straight out of the textbook, almost word for word.

Ez.... Easiest class you'll ever take in a good way, you actually learn instead of worry about a grade.

Great teacher! Not a lot of work handed out. Weekly discussion boards, 1-2 group projects, and exams after every unit. There was about 1-2 reflection papers (4 paragraphs long). Assignments were easy and to point. Very manageable class to take! Everything was easy and clear on what to do! I will definitely take this professor again!

Super sweet professor! She definitely cares about her students and you can tell she loves teaching psychology. Her lectures are super informative and interesting. We usually had 1-2 assignments a week and 4 exams but they were easy if you did your work and listened to the lectures! Amazing class and professor!

Nice teacher, Easy homework and exams. Just use your textbook and you'll pass the exams. She is confusing on some of her instructions at times and takes a bit to grade things, but she is kind, and the work is steady/easy. 13 BB discussions, 3 exams, 2 group projects.
