Esiest teacher in department, for surbecause iv'e had hard ones. She'll talks mostly about her politics and her own life and, but you agree by talking or saying she's right, you will get a good grade for sure. We don't do much writeng, I got an A

Dr. Grant is by far one of the most best professors i have ever had. You will learn alot from her class. She will use alot of her own experiences to make you understand her lectures. Expect to do some work, but it pays off! shes wonderful.

Very helpful and wonderful professor. She is one professor who loves what she does and does it with a passion. She will take time out of her schedule and help her students suceed in her class. Many examples are used through out her class to make students understand her material.

Dr Grant is an excelent professor who makes her assignments (not many) very clear and will help you if you ask her. She gives you all of the material you will need to research you mid term and final papers. The only negative is that she is a man hater. So guys, be prepared to hear alot of male bashing. Plus she is easy on the eyes.

I love Dr. Grant. Out of two teachers that made an impact in my life, she has been one of them. She is very smart and wise. And not only that, but she is a beautiful woman. I really admire her and look up to her.

Dr. Grant is a very nice, and honest! The only thing is that this class should be called anti-Bush instead of English 102. I really wish she would have talked about other things other than "how Bush is trying to take over the world".

If you know how to write a paper without grammatical errors you should be fine. Her assignments are very broad and she gives allows you to write pretty much what you want to. She gives you certain rules to follow, such as amount of quotes and sources and if you follow them you will be fine. Over all, easy A.

Dr Grant is an amazing teacher. You may not agree with all of her views, but she makes you think, and I believe that is her goal. She is fun and interesting and highly intelligent. I wouldn't take English with any other teacher!

This class is different. You do have a bit of reading and writing to do, but she's lenient with what you can put in (just so long as it can be backed up and is tied in to the literature) and it's really not that hard. She pretty much gives you your other research sources too so if you just show up there's no excuse to not get a good grade.

you will not become a good writer by takin her course. she just wants to see that you can spell right and put together a sentence well. i enjoyed the class. politics and corruptness is right up my alley. easy class. 10 page paper on 3 books was not difficult, just time consuming. she talks like shes straight from tha hood. very "HOT" & distracting

Went into this class dreading it, and left loving it. Signed up for English 102 Fall already. Interesting topics. Dr. Grant involved with outside activities with students every weekend. A very involved, interested instructor.

She's more of an inspirational speaker than being a teacher.. Which is good. She speaks a lot of the importance of englitening people, which is also good. I guess she used to get distracted in the past, but so far she's been a GREAT teacher according to the teaching standards. :)

Dr. Grant is one of the nicest teachers you will ever have. She teaches more about life than English. Its an easy A. I'm taking her English 101 for sure. She doesn't give hw and she wants everyone to pass her class.

Grant was cool, but I would not take her class for Eng 102. She does make you think, but teaches you nothing about Eng, it's a bit frustrating. My sis took both her Eng 101 & 102 class and was bored, cuz' she repeated herself the whole time.

102 is a critical thinking class. It is not for the closed or weak minded. Grant is the best professor ever!!! She also does help you in basic English so you will leave a better writer, as well as more open minded.

Well this teacher is totally into herself. I learned nothing about English just about living in the present moment. We watched the Peaceful Warrior. We wrote 3 essays and a verb test that you take in like 8th gr. Wants you to buy her book but you dont need it. She talks about the food to eat so you could look like her when you're her age! easy A!

Perfect teacher for English 101. If you're looking for a 28 teacher, you might want to take someone else though. She is extremely inspirational and an excellent writer. Her approach is a little odd, she belittles the average student's lifestyle, but only to open up their eyes. Her opinions are backed by fact. uses EXCELLENT reading material.

Dr. Grant (No Not from Jurassic Park) is a pretty cool teacher. For me, I thought what she said sounded pretty out there, but, after awhile, it all sort of comes together. You have to have an open mind, though. Very smart and very motivated woman. Plus, she's not bad looking either.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Dr.Grant does not appear to be prejudiced against white males and females by her comments and reading selections. By the way the books and documentaries are to make the individual to think and write critically. Dr.Grant has an open mind she is one of the 25% not like you part of the 75%.

I wasn't to pleased with the campus due to its unwelcoming environment but thankfully Dr. Grant's teachings made up for all the shortcomings of the campus. I loved her class. However, she makes you buy too many books and only has you read 1 or 2 chapters from them. She says that we are cheap when it comes to our education, but 7 books is just too many.

Dr. Grant is such an inspirational teacher. She was the reason why i loved going to school. She teaches you about things you never thought about. Absolutely loved her class. You will learn so much about the world and your surroundings. Take her class and you WONT regret it.

Dr.Grant was a great & easy teacher overall, but when it came down to actually learning English, not so much. The class seemed more like a life awareness class and watching documentaries on how to live a healthy life. There aren't any quizzes and there is only 1 test that actually has to do with english and just one easy midterm and a final.

I <3 Dr. Grant ! For her age she looks really good. She is such an inspiration,she is a raw vegan. Dr. Grant knows a lot and has gone through a lot. As far as her teaching goes,I did not learn much. So now I am a little behind in my english 101 class. But take her she is the best professor at Mission. 3 EASY essays and 2 EASY Quizzes. EASY A!

I'd recommend her for the Creative Writing elective. It's an easy A as long as you do the simple portfolio guidelines, and the class is entertaining. She will spend the first class generally discussing herself, which after English is probably her favorite subject, but she's a decent teacher with a lot of insight. You can speak your mind with her.

In Fall 2009 I transferred to a 4yr. university.I took the writing exit exam, and I passed it on my first try.Coming from ESL to Dr.Grant?s class was a challenge to write 10pg papers, but with her help I overcame my fear and lift my skills.She is an angel that is always willing to help

Really amazing teacher, simply inspiring. Highly intelligent and dedicated to her class. My only complaint is she's RIDICULOUSLY FULL OF HERSELF!! I understand she's smart and I guess if you got it flaunt it, as her outfits imply! Even her books reference towards her own greatness, check out your own ego lady. EASY A! I never even read the alchemist, I took quotes from the internet, made up the rest, and got an A on the final paper. The easiest class I have ever taken in my life. She's really, really, really into herself, and bares way too much skin, Its no wonder why the guys show up to her class, and never really talks about English.

Dr. Grant LOVES talking about herself but it is good! She is really caring and can you believe she is in her 50's? She loves teaching the subject of English and incorporates life-guiding techniques that helps everyone out. Easy A if you do your work. She is simple and to the point! All you really have to do is just BS the 2 essays! That's right 2!

All this teacher does is sit at her desk and talk s&it about her students! She literally tells us that we are ugly and caught up in our ego. She calls us "little canables" and is the biggest hipocrite in the world. She calls us "little children" when 90% of us are above 20. I got a B in her summer class with little thought. She is easy but rood!

She is easy and is full of knowledge. I do not, however, believe that she is a genious. Although, I agree she is smart she can definitely not be a genious. Talks about herself more than english. Dont take if you want to learn anything. EASY EASY A

I believe that Dr. Grant is a sensational instructor. Definitely an easy A! You have to go to class, participate, and you will earn an A. She is super cute and funny. Taking her is like taking an elementary school teacher. You will definitely walk out with an A and full of knowledge. However, it might not be too much about English. MUST TAKE :P

This is a prime example of how easy they make it so that an individual can get a PhD. She does not know much about the subject of English but knows about life. She's like 60 years old but looks like she is 30 (at most). MLA format is not important to her for some odd reason. She believes that you have to know about life to take her class. Trash.

Easiest class you will ever end up taking at Mission College. She really does implement the fact that MLA is really important in 4 year universities but she is wrong. No Professor ever cares abotu whether or not you do your works cited right nor do they even ask you to do MLA. Other than that she is o.k.

I took her on-line 101 class. She had excellent material to read which encouraged me to think critically. Now, I understand why there were so many students trying to add her every semester. She's a top notch professor. I absolutely loved this teacher.

This Professor changed my life! It's easy if you pay attention. You learn a lot more about yourself than English which could be a plus or negative for some. I took her for English 28, 101, 102, 127, and 208. I loved every class. Keep all your assignments because some are repetitive in all her classes. Overall inspirational. I still keep in touch.

Dr. Grant teaches for two reasons, to INSPIRE her students and to FILL our minds with the true meaning of life through art, history and literature. She is truly AMAZING and is in fact the most beautiful hearted, uplifting and inspiring professors that I have ever had. Highly intellectual, fun, friendly and very funny! you will learn a lot!!

Dr. Grant is an AMAZING prof and humuan being. Her material is thought provoking. She opens the world to you - creating an experience thru the chosen topic. There is no myopic view in her classes. She is willing to hear everyones perspective and is respectful of it. Her door is always open and not just for the topic at hand.

Doc Grant is down to earth. She is a respectful person, and is a teacher who tries her best (which happens to be amazing). She teaches students with words of wisdom, and will help anybody who wants it. She will teach you how to write, and much more than that. Personally I think were lucky to have Doc Grant teaching at our community college.
