HE SUCKS! NEVER TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES! HE ONLY CARES ABOUT THOSE WHO ALREADY KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT MATH AND DISCRIMINATES STUDENTS WHO TRIE HARD TO PASS HIS DAMN CLASS! IN ADDIRITION, HE WILL FAIL MOST OF STUDENTS WITH HIS HOURRENDOUS TEACHING TECHNIQUES WHICH INVOLVE POP-QUIZES, 12QUESTION TESTS
He is very helpful,funny,and really know how to teach. I like the 12 question tests.
his class is for people who know everything about math and not people who are trying to learn
i am a math lover and this guy mademe question that. he doesnt know how to teach he just tells over what he knows, but not in a teaching way. if you ask him questions he'll maybe answer once, but he wont make sure you understand. in other words he doesnt care if you understnad it or not, he plays favorites and only values what they have to say.
Mr.Allonce is a good teacher, you need to do the homework to do well in the test. He is very good at lecturing.
Teaching method is that of grade skool. Will put problems on the board and ask students to come up and do them.. moves fast with lectures.... does give homework but does not collect any it is the student's responsibility to do it.. I advise you to do it because it's on the tests! Does have favourites in his class usually the ones who ACE his tests
This professor doesnt teach very well. He knows his stuff but doesnt explain it clearly. I do NOT recommend this professor to anyone.
I highly recommend him for students who are good at math or believe that they could be good at math. I failed MAC1105 once before taking it with him, and I ACED his class. If you ace all 4 tests you dont have to take the final. Homework is crucial if you want to pass the tests but not mandatory. Fast paced lecture/class but it is do-able.
This guy is terrible, I took his class twice and still failed it, fortunately I was able to pass it afterwards.

Hes really fast paced..if you do his homework you will do good in his test..i strongly recommend you take him on tues,& thurs. more time for lecturing since he talks so fast
the class is not hard. go to class and do your assigned homework and you will pass with flying colors, he doesnt collect the work but the material is on the test. tests are multiple choice (not making them easy, just tricky!) he always has office hours available and he is very cool.
he runs in class. he is a good professor, but u must do his hw. in order to understand what is he talking about, and make sure u understand the class, because if not u won't pass his tests. he is helpfull, but can be mean sometimes. meke sure u attendt his class and pay attention, in order to get a good feedback and help.

The best teacher ever! If he sees that you are serious about the class, he will help you out greatly. I camped outside his office every day after class to do my homework and got his help.

very helpful and always available for his students, a bit of an accent, however you get use to it. Gives review for the test and the test is part made up from the review. Do your homework and don't miss a class and no trouble passing his class.

Prof. Allonce is a GREAT teacher. Although my math background was terrible, I've made A's on every assaignment. He is readily available to offer help and bases quizzes on hmwk. Complete your hmwk, and not only will you make an A, but you'll enjoy math. (He's also very funny!)
He is a very good professor for those students that need to take MAT1033. Although he is very strict, he explains math much better than any math professor in miami dade college. Also, his quizes are based on homework and quizes.You should get no less than a ''b'' if you study for his class!

This man is not lying when he says you have to do your homework. He does explain well but at times his accent might be hard to understand, so pay attention. He knows what he is doing and he will let you know of it. He gives tests frequently so be sure to study.

Professor Allonce is a very good professor. He always makes sure he spends time with students who seek his help. Just as long as you copy his notes in class and study them you shouldn't have any problems. He has a island accent, but he has a great personality. great teacher.

This is a great teacher. He is very demanding when it comes to his tests & homework. Believe me, if you don't do your hw you will not pass his class. He's a very dedicated professor & puts a lot of effort in teaching his class. Naturally he expects the same. His class isn't easy, but you'll definitely learn your math. Great professor.
This teacher is really bad, you have to know everything his way or no way. He things he is a psychic too. Needs to be fair with people that have not taken a class with him before. Needs to lighten up. and help student succeed.
Truthfully this class is very hard. You must do all his hw to be able to understand his quizzes and tests. Any step u do in the problem that is not his way is wrong. He picks his favorites all the time.
I liked him. I hate math, but whenever I had a question I would go to his office and he spent the time to get me through. He has a great sense of humor...he embarrassed me 1 time though when he knew I liked a girl in the class. I would take him again. Passing his class requires "PROMPT ATTENDANCE", and studying his notes. Each time your late points are deducted.He's a good teacher,he explain things well. Be sure to lol on his wack jokes!!

This Professor is awsome. He is a good professor that knows his stuff. He is always available for extra help during office hours, and encourages students to study in groups. Just make sure you do all the online work and homework than you will do great on the test and quizzes. If you do all of that there is no way you will not get an A
I have taken his class for three semesters. I will not take math with another teacher. He is strict only because he actually cares about his students and that they learn. If you do not like his class or do not do well, you should not be in college.

Do his homework and you'll be fine. He teaches with an accent but you can undertstand him. He gives random quizzes and is funny with his lame jokes.
He is the worst math professor there is. He will take away points for no reason. I already took pre-calculus with an A but had to take 1033 because of the CPT. He makes life difficult. Its hard to understand his accent and sometimes he just babbles on and on.

He is extremely tough on people.He deducts 10 points every time some one misses class no matter what. When I say no matter what believe me its means NO MATTER WHAT. Like he says he has no exeptions. He also gives quizzes almost every day and does not let you drop the lowest grade. He is not at all helpfull!

Where to begin, oh where to begin! First of, he does not give partial credit when it comes to quizzes; you mess up in one step, you are screwed! He has his favorite students and undermines those who are not good in his class. Continuing on, his jokes are as lame as he is. The man does not remember his student's names; only those he likes.
He is a raw teacher. I learned so much by the way he teaches. I got an A. You must come to class EVERYDAY, and study alot and expect a quiz everytime u come to class. Teaching style is the BEST..he teaches in steps and it helps so much. He does pick favorites but thats not a problem if you do good. Attendance is pretty much mandatory. Very funny but dont argue with him because he says his name (Ruz Allonce) means "Right Always"

Gives great lectures, has corny jokes, but he is very helpful and provides group help if asked. His test are very easy of you study the material well. The textbook is only used for homework, and homework is not mandatory but suggested that you do. He get his test from the homework.
This prossor is the best I have had ever. His classes notes are very clear and helpful. He always gave the students hadouts for the tests and exams, wich is helpful. All you have to do is do your homework and study, practicing is the best way of learning, as the teacher said.
Beware of this teacher, he has a cocky attitude with an accent. He has favorties in each of his classes, and dont care of student making any progress. you cannot interrupt him with a question without him finishing on what he has to lecture. I could not have a one on with this guy to find out my progress. so now i have to take this class again. AHh!
He makes you do a lot of home work but that?s the only way you learn math.Then he gives you pop quizzes every week. After you learn his style you?re hooked.I took 2 classes with him. You will learn to never forget how to factor. You will need to know the basics for higher level math so learn it with him. I learned to love math because of him.

Mr. Allonce is a okay teacher , but not the best teacher at my Miami Dade college. He gave good example of how to the do the math problems. You need to do all your homeworks to understand the material to pass the test. He is little rude,and that why I don't like him.
Prof. Allonce is a real professor, he won't baby you and does not like excuses. His class was difficult with lots of homework and studying, but if you do the work, you will LEARN. I highly recommend him for serious students that really need to have a good understanding of math and BE PREPARED TO WORK!
This professor is very helpful. The class is only difficult if you do not study. Although you have to do all assigned homework, before exams, he basically gives you a review with the same or similar question that are going to be on the exam (they are usually rhe same questions or just slight changes). On every exam he gives extra credit.
He is the best teacher i have ever had,... i wont take a math class unless he is teaching it.... and by the way he has great memory

He is a great teacher, if you take notes you will be able to pass his class it's easy when you study, and if not just go by his office he'll surely help you out. AWESOME PROFESSOR! A great prof... to get an A in this class sit on the front and take clear understanding notes. He always give review sheets before the test..and guess what is the same test but different problems.. take him he is good. :)
I hate math. he is not a bad professor you just have to put in a real effort. Sit close to the front and take GOOD notes! do the textbook homework, believe me! and do the online homework too. Do all of the questions in the test review sheet. don't be lazy!!! if you are, you will fail. man, i am happy with my C. i was lazy, i paid the consequence...
This professor is a good one. All of his quizzes are extra credit points, and all you have to do is complete the homework online and get satisfactory grades on the tests and quizzes. I t is almost impossible for someone not to receive an A or B in this class, unless you are absent frequently.

OMG! Listen here, the best professor at Miami Dade College! He teaches with clarity and accuracy. His class is easy because he teaches so that students who learn SLOW, understaand. College aint supposed to be easy so yall stop complaining.Just make sure all textbook and online homework is completed. He also givies a review paper for each test.EASY!

He is a good teacher. He explains everything very well and takes time to go over things. He is extremely funny! He does give a lot of online homework but the site is very helpful. As long as you study and review your notes, you can get an A in the class.
Allonce is a very good teacher. He will take the time to explain the work if you are really trying to learn. The tests aren't that bad and everything is multiple choice. He has a strong accent and his handwriting on the board is very hard to read at times but anybody can get an A or B in his class.

Allonce is a wonderful teacher. When you go to his office and if necessary he would go way past his office hours to make sure you learn. He is not easy but he give notes other professor don't even try to give. I got an A in his MAC1105 and was angry he wasn't teaching business calculus no more.

amazing professor just finished taking his mat1033 mini term class in the spring semester and passed with an A u need to show interest and if u have a problem he is always avaliable in his office to help i highly recomment and dont listen to the others who complain about middle problems

If you know the previous math class material very well take him; otherwise, you will defenitly fail. He goes really fast through the chapters and expects the students to know the material well by next class section(quiz). He believes that the more math problems a student solve the more clearly the material will be for them
I had Mr. Allonce for the previous section of math and i did great.Sure he has an accent and gives alot of homework, but he is a helpful teacher who really wants all his students to succeed. I got a c my last semester bc i slacked off towards the middle, but he is a very consistent teacher. By consistent i mean every class you will have a quiz.

If you had him before and he likes you then you will do well otheriwse good luck. He only helpful to his previous student. HEARTLESS MAN. Mr.Allonce had him once and I'm planning to take him again. I hate math with my life and for the first time I learned to like it.He a good man he traits like your one of his own. Great teacher, really knows how to explain things. I've never liked math and this is my favorite class. If you miss class, you will fall behind because he works at a fast pace. He uses Mymathlab which is great. He assigns a lot of HW but it is necessary in order to get a good understanding of the material. I found him to be hilarious as well.
Great professor! Before him, I knew nothing about math! In fact, I took this class about 3 times and it's been years since I had math. Now, I am on the verge of getting an A! He gives alot of homework, but it's very helpful. He reviews for test. No surprises. Funny and cares about your progress! I wish he was teaching MAC1105! :(

Great teacher took him on the fall 2010 semester. He has a great talent with math. I like the way he teaches.Highly recommended.

NO! he's nice at first, I'd laugh at his jokes, and I thought he was kind. Until he sent half our class an email saying that we were better off dropping the class. I had a 65%, why would you advice me to drop the class? this guy is rude, pop quiz EVERY class. And he brags about how many have dropped his class. He needs clearer teaching skills.

This teacher is truly amazing, I actually LEARNED in this class. He gives a quiz at the beginning of every class but it is worth it. You must do your homework everyday as it will be befit you. Professor really care, he is passionate on the courses he teaches. You must study, he gives a pop quiz almost every class. He ACTUALLY shows interest in your academic standing for the class. This Professor is good if you have no life. He gives too much work, its as if his class is the only class you have. He also like to brag a lot which gets on my nerves. I must say hes very good at explaining. And oh yea do your HW or else you wont pass. Many students quit their jobs for his class alone so think about it
This is the best math teacher EVER! He explains everything in a way that helps you learn the material. He gives reviews to keep the math fresh in your mind and awards points if you do it. He does have an accent but it doesn't affect his teaching. His personality does get a little annoying but its worth it in the end, GREAT teacher!

One of the best math professors I have had. He gives "pop" quizzes every class. BUT it is the same exact stuff he teaches in class. I truly learned so much! Don't let him scare you! He's super nice! and "funny" just laugh at his jokes. But overall if you need help he is always available for office hours. I got a B in his class and I'm no genius.
He's a wonderful professor; knows his stuff, but it's up to you to take the time out to study. The first couple of weeks were quizzes back to back, then they stopped. Then, there was ALEKS (sucked). I failed because I didn't drop in time. If he ever tells you to see him during office hours, SEE HIM DURING OFFICE HOURS. Take only if you have time.

He is very strict, one day I came in 10 minute late he was already deducting points & I came in late again. He was like students who come in late more than once will not pass. I was pissed off & I end up droping it. In the begining of class he give a quiz's. I wouldn't recommend his class if u have a habit of coming late.

This guy everyday he give a quiz with three 2-3 question and if you get one wrong he put stupid notes on the quiz. He also advice student to drop the class if you have C or below he give no help and he act like he cares.
He is terrible, his accent is hard to understand. He repeats "what" and "class" at least 60 times in one sentence. He takes forever to move on from one section. Acts like he cares but really doesn't. Goes on about things that do not relate to class. He's easy but very irritating.

Okay he is not that bad guys !! He is a really good professor. He has amazing notes. The only problem is.. it is a lot of work. Homework after every class. No extra redit. But he is available all the time for office hours. He is good, just be prepared to work. Small accent not that bad you can understand just fine.
A good portion of the time he will keep referring to his past and how we have it easy in America but takes away from class time to have his rant. If you ask a question you are told to hold on or that he needs to keep going because he doesn't have time. This guy is a waste of money and time as he runs out the door almost every lecture.
I passed his class with an A. He was not that bad except he gives a lot of work. If you are consistent with the homework and study for his tests you will pass. Homework counts for a lot and if you do the homework you'll pass the test. I had a lot of other classes and found time to do his work and at the end I didn't need the final to end with an A.

I took this course during the Summer A Semester and it definitely is time consuming. Professor Allonce is helpful during his office hours. Class is mandatory and you will lose point off of your average for being late to class, stepping out to answer a call, leaving class early, and missing days. He has great notes and teaches well.
This is the worst professor I've ever met in my life, bad English, always comparing himself with students, never gave enough time for quizzes but wasted half of the class criticizing how easy is studying in America. I'm currently taking this class. Despite the negative comments, he is actually a very good professor. As long as you write down all the notes and practice the homework assignments in the textbook, you're sure to pass. Maintaining an A is highly possible by doing this consistently. Don't be discouraged, I recommend that you take him.

When the withdrawal perc. is higher than the passing perc, that should ring a bell to him. There were 30+ students in my class & now there's about 10. He said he's the only prof that teaches MAC2233 too. I refuse to take another course with him. I found a site that said the grade average for his classes for 1105 is a C, and for 2233 is an F.
If you are not a strong math student, don't take this class with this guy. You must show ALL work on your tests how he does it in the notes or you won't get full credit, even if you got the right answers. It's basically his way or the highway, and his way sucks. He makes things too complicated.

I'm not the best math student & I'm not the worst. I should've passed this class. I'm not 1 that puts the blame on professors ALL the time either. But in this case he needs to change ALOT of things. When u have a LARGE sum of students that drop your classes each semester, then that's a problem!!
This class is basic math, it couldn't be easier but Professor Allonce is very strict in grading so beware. Overall I think Allonce is a great teacher that teaches a hard subject.

This is class is a very difficult class and everything has to be hand written and it NEEDS to be exactly how he wants them (even you notes)... You can barely understand him because of his accent. I would not take this class with him EVER. I had to drop it. The worst experience ever.

I do not recommend this professor. He is very strict, rude and unrespectful. He is going to make you look like a fool in front of the class and if you defend yourself he is going to ask you to leave.Grades are based on 4 exams plus a final and there is not multiple choice, also does not give you credit for homework or lab hours.

i took him in MAC 1105 too and i got a C thinking that i was just lazy but it was all because i took the same material again, now that i took him again i couldnt stand the fact that he only graded tests, and i tried this time and it just didnt workut

You have to do things his way; as in, if he solves an equation a certain WAY, make sure to follow his steps. Makes learning really easy and visual. He does have an accent but it isn't too much of a hindrance.

This is the hardest class I have ever taken in my life. He is hard to understand. He holds you extra minutes after class so he can keep teaching passed the 3 hours and 20 minutes that we are already in there. Mountains of homework. Not allowed to use notes on the mid term and final. Will not give extra credit if you are struggling.
He can be very slick with the way he talks to you. It might mean no harm on his part but it definitely comes off as rude. Although he goes through the math problems step by step, there are much simpler ways of doing it. I advise you to NOT take his class.
Beware, this professor is funny and knows his material but he can put you down easily if he thinks you're not doing well in the class. No book needed. MAKE SURE you jot down EVERY step on the board, his tests require you to write step by step his way only. He gives a ton of homework, make sure you do it EVERYDAY when it's first assigned.
Where do I begin ? HOMEWORK. He gives homework from the book and online, never know when hes collecting book homework. He goes through everything clearly but pretty fast as if you should already know it. He already knows it but doesn't realize its new to us and we are just learning. Very easy to fall behind. By the drop date it went from 40 to 10.

He is the best math professor that Ive had on North campus. He assigns homework so that you can learn, not for you to fail his class. If you have problems with a question on the homework, hes more than happy to help. DO THE HOMEWORK! Its for your own good. If you dont take your future seriously then dont bother taking him.
He is a huge stickler for attendance as in, you miss class 3 or more times (not even consecutively) and you will not pass. He doesn't grade hw but the tests are EVERYTHING. He also wants you to only follow his methods, so if your answers right but its not the way he did it, you wont get credit. Good luck.
Very hard to understand his teaching style on top of the accent. Hated going to his class every moment of everyday. RUN as fast as humanly possible. Started the class with about 15 people and about two people made it to the end of the semester.
A lot of people here gave him low ratings but honestly, he's a great teacher. Really knows his math! Had him for the summer and he uses class time for math with a sprinkle of Allonce-humor so that the class is still awake. Take good notes (i mean he literally gives them to you), pay attention, and do the hw. Then you're set.

Here's the problem with this teacher. He believes punishment education. He takes points off for tardiness, cellphone ringing, imperfection on tests, (even if you have the right answer) etc. Only straight A students get the benefits: retake a test, ignore cell phone, help you more after class, etc. The best students are helped the rest are hurt.

Professor Allonce has to be the worst math teacher, EVER! Before his class I was a straight A student. He grades tough. He takes off points if you didn't do it exactly how he did it, EVEN if you got the same exact answer. He has a heavy accent, understandable, though. His handwriting is not so great but you may get by. I wouldn't recommend him.

He was alright. As long as you don't miss class, pay attention to his lecture, and do the homework, you'll be fine. Don't procrastinate and always study before the in-class exam. And be sure to not skip important steps in your work during exams either. It was pretty easy, to be honest.

I struggled with Math all through high school, so I was nervous about taking college level algebra. Before I enrolled, I asked several students who the best math teacher was; they all told me Ruz Allonce, and they were right! He breaks material down to the simplest form and explains everything thoroughly. I finally mastered math because of him!
He once said the word "class" a grand total of 95 times during one of his lectures, saying the word 20 times during the last five minutes of class.
Horrible professor overall. He only grades exams and the homework is optional and not graded. I didn't use mymathlab in this class and was forced to buy the expensive textbook. Do not take this class if you are not so proficient in math.
This professor is one of the worst profesor at mdc , I don't no recommend anyone to take him . I try really hard to pass this class but I didnt. My advice is do not take him I'm been honest he's class is really hard because hou are just grade based on 5 test and he doesn't give extra credit and he give a bunch pf homework but he don't graded .
When I first started his class I was tempted to drop it but I stuck with it and despite struggling with math he was willing to work with me and I managed to pass the class . All you have to do is come to class on time and really put in your best effort .
I literally hated that class because I couldn't understand him sometimes. What was really annoying was the format he wrote his notes in is the format he EXPECTED on the midterm and final. But overall I literally cried after each exam. Oh and be careful with attendance, he takes 4% off your ENTIRE OVERALL GRADE. Don't miss class before a quiz.....
This is the worst professor in mdc. This guy does not know how to explain. And if you ask him to re explain that he wont. He dosent teach you anything and he wants you to do the math steps the way he does it if not your answer wont be wrong even if you have the right answer.
Worse experience of my life with a professor. IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT MATH DO NOT TAKE HIM! You will regret it. If you come late or miss class he will take 40 points off your test grade. He takes things very personal and will make your time in class very unpleasant. If you can avoid taking his class please do so. Save your self the misery.
I'm telling right now to run for the hills. Do not take this professor. In my opinion he doesn't really teach the material you basically have to teach yourself. When it comes to test you have to do the math step by step because he will deduct points.
WOW. The worst teacher I have ever taken. Dropped all but two students for attendance. Doesn't give credit for work shown, just the correct answer. The work must be done his way or no credit will be given. Extremely heavy accent and refuses to answer direct questions.

ALLONCE IS THE WORST TEACHER EVER!! My class was filled with students until most of them dropped out. We started doing online tests at home until Allonce decided to make the last few tests difficult and in class. He told us not to worry, but in the end, only 2 students passed. And I wasnt one of them.

My advice for any student who wants to take a class with this professor is DON'T! He's great in that he knows his material but he is not good at making sure the students are learning. He's says "do you understand? I do" And continues on, even if you don't know it. Passing is technically possible but highly unlikely.
In-class exams are the exact same problems he gives during class, so take notes. He is very homework heavy with MyMathLab but a great professor. If you put in the work you can pass. I took him for 1033 also. Make it known you want to pass his class and he will help you.
I disagree with everyones complaints about Allonce. He is strict with his grading criterias, but you can easily get an A if you simply follow the instructions. The test are the same questions he does in class, students just dont pay attention. He shows exactly how he wants you to solve, so simply follow his way and you can easily get an A.
Allonce is a good professor, his class is easy to pass as long as you can finish all the online homework and tests on time. He is extremely lecture heavy, relies on MyMathLab and likes when you participate.
Obviously, whoever has negative reviews is because they are slackers. He explains all concepts thoroughly. He truly cares about students passing the class and encourages each and everyone to do whats necessary to do so. You have to practice a lot of the exercises to get it but thats math in general. He is very funny and full of energy.
Professor Allonce is a nice guy I guess but by far the worst Professor Ive ever seen. He puts constant homework with random deadlines on a daily basis. He does not have in mind that some of his students have jobs. He takes off points when youre 5 minutes late to class. His lectures are long and boring and you can barely hear him. Dont take him.
Math is something I always hated but with him he made it fun and easier for me . I dont know why people wouldnt recommend him . As long as you do what you have to do(pay attention, come to class , participate, finish the assignments on time) you should pass . Hes always available to help you and make sure you understand what he taught . 100/100
Mr. Allonce is a professor that I will NEVER forget. He is amazing at teaching but you better come to class with nutrition in your body and mind! Explains every step in detail for ALL concepts, he keeps you on high alert with his humor and offers help when needed. I will miss him a lot! Very inspirational and respected. You will love math!
Professor Ruz Allonce is a great professor who is tough but will help you. I suck so badly at math, and he really did help me out. Ruz will help you if you show that you need help. If you miss his classes he will literally drop you from the class and also using the phone is a PHAT no. He will know if you used photomath or mathway. I recommend him!!
I got depression from taking this class no joke. He is a good guy and I guess he cares but man his class was hard. Attendance is mandatory, he teaches fast and sometimes it is hard to understand what he is saying. Many times in the hw there would be problems that he never went over. I'm no slacker and I wasn't the only one who thought this in class
He is the most difficult professor out here. Not only can you barely understand his words, you also cant even understand his horrible handwriting. He is really strict over the stupidest things, and his regulations are a joke. DO NOT register with this idiot
I have an A for his class but the final test he asks for showing work on your device, not even a piece of paper I told him my laptop is not touchscreen I did not do it he drops my A to a C this guy is a monster. warning do not take him I was one of the best students for him in the class.
When I started in his class I couldn't understand his strong Caribbean accent. You have to pay close attention to him because if you don't it like missing a lot of information and you will fall behind. He does randomly give homework and changes the dates. You have to pay close attention to that. When he teaches he goes fast, so pay attention!!!
Very inconsiderate especially with the pandemic. You try asking him a question at the end of class and hell literally be in such a rush to leave the meeting. Felt like he didnt care at all and the class wasnt that bad. But there were a million deadlines every week and really made us drown in work
DONT TAKE HIM. SOOO unreasonable and not understanding when we are in a whole PANDEMIC. does not care about your situations and assign SO much homework and he does not even inform you of them.
Professor drowns you with work, disregarding the fact students have jobs outside of school. Extremely heavy accent, rushes out as soon as the class is over with no chance for questions, unreasonably strict, literally there for the paycheck and nothing more. Gives people a reason to hate math and I think he actually gets a rush out of it! AVOID.
Took him for MAT1033 & MAC1105. It is a lot of hw, but if you have time you should be fine. Only 4 tests (no proctor!) and the review right before tests has the same questions(diff #). Boring lectures. This professor isn't for everyone, especially if you have a job. Overall, it is an easy class to pass, just need to do the work. A+ for both classes
This professor is not a bad person and he genuinely cares about his students. His online lectures were not engaging. If you are really serious about your education than you can make extra time to do his homework/study. He is available at his office hours and MDC offers free tutors at the learning resources center. Hard work pays off. Good luck yall
HE IS THE WORST PROFESSOR EVER!!! HAS HEAVY ACCENT, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR PLEASE! DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! HE IS VERY RUDE, GIVES TOO MUCH HOMEWORK, AND HIS TESTS ON LOCKDOWN BROWSER WILL FREEZE YOUR SCREEN AND WHEN YOU EMAIL HIM ABOUT IT HE GETS UPSET. I DROWNED IN HIS CLASS.
He gives a lot of homework. He does have a strong accent that you might not understand. When he goes through the lecture he goes kind of fast. I just don't recommend to have him as teacher.

He was a good teacher. Calling him awful is a stretch cause he's so nice! Yeah, he gives a lot of homework, but it helped because the material in the homework were the same as the questions on the tests! He also does exam review before every test (lockdown browser, not proctored).
his class was my first college class ever and it wasnt good. hes not a bad guy but if youre new to the college scene dont take him. his lectures are very boring to say the least and he assigns a ton of work. hes not very lenient on things like missing class or assignments regardless of what the situation is.
If you are looking to actually learn and understand math Professor Allonce is great. He is knowledgeable and has great understanding of what he is lecturing. His class is structured with him giving a clear lecture , and assigning homework that tests the students understanding. If you pay attention and do the homework you will do great.
Do NOT take this professor, he is very strict. For every absence, he will take away 5% of your total grade. If you are late or use your phone, he will deduct points off your total grade. He does not post your grade until the end of the semester. Every quiz is in person with no scientific calculator. I'm pretty sure he writes his own reviews on here
He lectured very fast and when we had to show our work during exam time, we had to do it in HIS way, not your way.Doesn't matter if u got the answer right or not. He would still take points away. I suffered a lot in his class. I was a straight A student and he rlly made my gpa suffer. Last semester ended my classes with A's except his class.
Prof Allonce wasn't bad. his accent is very heavy. As long as you participate in class and respect him, he looks out for you. the assignments weren't too difficult and his lectures aren't bad. I recommend. (not proctored)
This was my first MDC class, and Professor was incredibly kind, accommodating, and accessible via email. He covered the material thoroughly and answered questions patiently. The Summer A lecture can be long, but as I enjoy participating, I had a very smooth experience. Just be respectful and ready to learn, and you will have no problem at all!
