I really enjoyed this class, this was one of the best classes i've have taken at calstate. She puts a lot of effort to make the class interesting. the class is not difficult, just as long as you attend and the intersting assignment.

Dr.Karma is cool. 1000 point grading scale. Student Oriented Class. Grading scale is based on attendance, participation, 3 Quizzes and Group Presentation. The amount of effort you put in is the grade you get. Treat your group members with respect and courtesy. Expect alot of Karma, because what goes around comes around, what goes up must come down.

She is so easy. At first it seems like it's alot of work but then I realized that her class was so easy. I rarely did any hard work and managed to get an A in her class. She is the coolest. I wished every professor was as easy as her. I learned a lot in her class about feminism and differences between sex and gender. She's an easy A.

This class is unbelievably easy. As strange as it is, the prof doesn't really lecture much, the students do most of the lecturing. If you mind being fed liberal feminazi ideology & propoganda (the textbook is really biased), I suggest another class.

She's a sweet person, really engaging, and doesn't mind sharing her life stories--which are interesting! Her class is easy. But keep in mind that this is a student-oriented class. Be prepared to do group projects and oral presenatations. I hate talking in front of class, so this was a dread. One paper (easy), shorts tests, and final--all easy!

I really liked this instructor! The class is group based & extremely easy w/ the assignments. DO NOT miss any class sessions! Each day has a diff. amount of pts, due to the course content. I missed a 30pt day, but luckily I still passed the class with a high B. She is NOT a feminazi...if you don't want to learn about gender, why take the class??

Extremely nice Professor. The class is very group oriented. Her study guides are extremely helpful for the tests. Try not to miss class. She gives points every day you attend which are very crucial to receive an A.

This class is easy as long as you show up to class all of the time. You earn easy points just by showing up. The quizes are too easy and the midterm and final are fairly easy too. She is a cool and understanding professor, I highly recommend her.

she is extreamly easy. however, you will only receive an A if you attend her class everyday. she gives a study guide that has questions for the tests. 5 homeworks, 2 papers and 1 group presentations.

Her class will make you think you go back to high school again. Attendance and homework are important. You will get an A for sure if you do not miss her class.

I took her for Soc201 and got an A. She gives you points for just being in class. She gives you a study guide from the course packet, which the questions come from exactly for the test. We had 3 tests. Just memorize study guide questions and you will pass the test. Also one easy group presentation.

She's cool but her grammer is what burned me up but I not calling her unintelligent. Easy A although she gave me an A- grrrrr that one C on a test jacked me up. OO but i learned nothing in the class except for the different gestures in other languages. I hated the book.

This class is easy, but the book is a waste of time. She has study guides for the midterms and final. Attendance is mandatory, you get 20 pts. towards your grade. but this class is cool. learn a lot.

Very easy class. She has study guides so you don't really need the book, although it's helpful. There's one group project that is fairly simple and 2 easy papers. She is a very nice and helpful professor. I would recommend.

This professor is really nice! She is living! The class is not really hard at all. Just memorize all the study guide questions and the T/F questions she quizzes us on. If you do all of this, you will pass her class. Make sure you pay attention on the reaction paper because she is really really picky on that.

You have to put an effort into getting an A. The class & info itself is not hard. One question on the test is worth 4 pts. IMO very odd. Problem is that she does not teach. She makes the students do it. Pay attention to students (who usually just care about getting through their part of the presention) or read the book. Attendance mandatory.

Definitely the kind of class you would find worthless to go to. But she makes it a substantial part of your grade so you're forced to go and listen to absolutely nothing. Easy A...but only if you attend class.

unlike a lot of commentator, who said "if u work hard, u will get A". that's bs. I will go straight to the point.4 scantron tests all from book. one essay, which she grades only on the INSTRUCTION, not content. one group presentation.

She is one of the best teacher at CSULA. She cares about her students and teaches very well. I am happy to have her class.

The professor is very nice and helpful. She is willing to answer you if you have any questions. She also tries to give many extra credit points, but it's up to the students to take that opportunity. She does skits during class and those are few points. For her tests, study the homework and pay attention to her lecture abit.

Class is super easy. Students basically teach the class. Attendance is mandatory. Just read the book and you will get an A in the class. Plus she gives extra credit. Midterms are all based on the readings. The 2-4 papers are not that hard to write, straight to the point.

Tends to talk about her home country A LOT, so be prepared. Has a real deep interest in her students to succeed in class. Really knows her stuff. All tests and final is based off of the handbook and several readings, so pay attention to those two. Overall, a pretty good teacher.

Professor Karmiryan is amazing Professor. I just couldn't believe 10 weeks went so fast. I met some great people in the class to top things off. Professor Karmiryan really is an accet to this Department and a good friend. I hope you enjoy Soc 300 with her.

As a Soc major this class was a breeze. Unfortunately we didn't get into the emotion aspect of culture. She is a very nice lady but strict on attendance. 1 absence is waived. You have to buy her course packet.

DONT have to take notes because course packet has all power points(need to purchase that)hw assign, quiz, lectures & activities in there. hw is EASY(4 quest about each chapt)attendance isMUST, lots of class disus. Tests are easy questions are right off the practice quizzes given to us. just memorize quest & youll PASS. Book is on reserve! didnt buy

The course packet is quite helpful considering it keeps everything we do organized and her syllabus is detailed making it impossible to miss assignments unless you completely don't pay attention. If you skip class, points are taken off (i know its not HS) but overall, with effort you will pass w a good grade. she is professional & friendly.

Everything is in your course packet. Study from the pop quiz and you'll do really good. She's really helpful. She really helps you understand the concept.

Professor was very engaging. Attendance a must and reading text is mandatory. Lectures are fun and involved. Easy A if you go to class. One term paper, one computer assignment, 3 tests, and chapter evaluations each class. Very easy. Fun professor.

I enjoyed her class. She is a great professor! Planning to take Soc 341 with prof. Karmiryan.. I highly recommend her. I wouldn't say she is hard and wouldn't say she is easy but if you do the work you will sure get an A.

Overall she's an easy teacher. The work is done for you in course packet. Introductory sociology class, very general information. Attendance matters. You have one paper you have to do in MLA format, annoying format.

She's great! She has an accent, yes -- but you can clearly understand her. 2 tests 1 final, everything very straight forward, 1 paper ASA format, and everyday assignments (chap evaluations).If you study everything on the paper, you're good to go. She is very sweet and humble and wants to help us all. Would take her again. Show up, she pays attn!

Just take class very chill and not hard

everything is given to you in a packet all you have to do is just go to class read what she gaves you all the answers are given in the study packets no way not... if you do not then you must have not even open the notes... MUST read notes in order to pass she is a GREAT teacher and really cares about YOU!!! meaning her students

Personally she is amazing person. You can tell that she really cares about her students adnd wants them to succeed. She has an accent, but it is not too bad where you can not understand her. Textbook/Handout notebook cheap. 3 tests, but super easy. No quizzes. Lectures can be boring, but not too bad. Take her you wont regret it.

Her class consists of participating, homework is due every week but it is easy. There is also a paper, her test are easy if you do the study guide. Showing up to class is mandatory, she deducts a lot of points for absence and tardiness. Don't leave her class early with out letting her know she will deduct points! overall it is a fun easy class.

BEYOND EASY! If you get something below an A then you are most definitely lazy. Do the study guides because it's exactly what you'll see on the test. HW is every chapter you must summarize. But you can BS it all, just make sure the page is full. Also most of her work is on quizlet. Just take her!

Professor Karmiryan is an awesome Prof.!! She's funny and she connects the students experiences to her lectures. Come to class because that relies a lot on your grade. One of the few professors who offers a ton of extra credit! Her tests are super easy if you just come to class and do the study guides. She's very knowledgeable in the field.

great professor. Cares about students. 2 exams, a final (not cumulative), EASY group project, 2 STRAIGHT FORWARD ESSAYS but second one is just answering questions about the course at the end. Would definitely recommend.

Professor Karmiryan genuinely liked to teach and wasn't a bad grader. She did give homework most of the time and thats easy credit, there was also tests and they weren't bad. As long as you study the study guide you'll do well on tests

No lectures (pandemic era), so we just read the weekly chapters, do weekly discussion boards, and her powerpoints are provided. We watch a few films too. It's an okay class, but the tests are hard. Not everything is from the powerpoint notes. There are many specific Q's from the book, making it easy to lose points. Other than that it was doable.

Took an online class. Prof. Kamiryan gives a clear schedule and outline for the class, very easy to keep up with. Need to do a discussion board every week, with a test every month ( 4 total) that she gives study guides for. Easy A.

A super easy professor class is based on discussions every week and just doing a quiz. You guys won't regret taking her easy class and straight to the point of what you need to do.

This professor is excellent at organization. No way you can fail this class unless youre very lazy and not completing the weekly assignments. She provided a textbook pdf, 3 exams and one paper. Do the work and youll pass. Received a A.

took this course online & loved her structure of the class. Every week we have a discussion post that's due at 11:59pm & gives you a study guide based on chapters. 3 exams that are basically based on the study guides & textbook so reading is a must. & provides PowerPoint slides. Would recommend taking this course! Easy A.

Professor Ruzanna is one of the most caring and understanding professors here. She might seem like she's going to be one of those professors by looking at the workload but if you stay on top of things, you can't get anything less than a B- in her class. Weekly quizzes and group discussions which takes about 4-5- hours of the week to do honestly.

Easy shes very nice. There are 3 weekly assignments which is a discussion post, quiz and responding to the discussion post. Plus unit exams. Very nice and you gotta participate in class a little bit. The textbook can be found online and she even tries to help you find online links to get it.

If you don't get an A, you're just lazy. Took this class over 5 weeks during the summer. A discussion post for every other chapter (4 questions, 5 sentences or more), 2 midterms, 1 final, and one evaluation paper based on a research article that she provides. Tests are easy if you do the practice quizzes. Take her if available, very kind!

Great professor, loves her students, good lectures, makes you participate in class regularly, but its simple. She tells you exactly what to study and all exams are online. 10/10

I've never been so happy to go to class! Im usally a person who doesn't like attending lectures, but with her class I happily went to class genuinely because of passion for the topics she speaks about. Her class is very easy to pass and the assignment are mainly based on how topics in class relates to us.

Professor Ruzanna is a great teacher who makes her classes engaging. While the workload can be heavy, she provides plenty of resources like Quizlet to make studying easier. unstuck AI was a big help for me too.

This class consisted of weekly assignments, which were discussion posts and practice quizzes. After 3-4 chapters, you have a test (4 tests in total) which are easy because she allows the test to be taken at home and using the book. Not a strict grader, just be ready to read to fill out the discussion posts!
