Very rude and not helpful. If you are wearing a skirt you will get a good grade. Your grade depends on his mode. If he tries to help and you don't undestand he yells "I give up" and go. Does not have teaching qualities.

Basically, you have to do you own work. Don't expect from him to help you. Just understand your pre-labs and work with your friends; as a group effort and you souldn't have a problem.

All I can say is that after I was done with both my labs, I felt like I graduated. I felt like I was taking a 3 credit course thru out the semester. Way too much work.. I could never relax, or understnad the concepts of chemistry. All I was worried about was finishing up the lab without getting late

Pay attention to pre-lab questions! They repeat in the quizzes after the lab data is entered, but before you get your grade.

Like a lot of people said, if you are a hot girl he'll pretty much do the entire lab for you! if you are a guy then you're out of luck getting help from him, so you'd better hope you have good TAs.

makes you feel stupid when you ask questions and doesn like to share his knowledge of chemistry and when he does.. he gives to the vaguest answer possible. labs are easy tho if u know wat ur doing on the prelabs.

Labs are okay..avoid kluiber..jus ask the ta's..esp. the chineses ones. Dont ask Kluiber anything..and make sure u know those prelabs. Easy B with the extra credits

Kluiber is: moody, not helpful, should retire. He moves way too fast for his age which could be a problem if you want to use the electronic balance instead of the old balance from the 1900's LOL. Didn't learn anything from the labs. Even if you don't understand .... about Chem(like me ;) you can pass with a B

over 100 years old! makes you think ur stupid when u go to him for questions or help... not bad tho is u make abosolutely no contact with him. make sure u know pre-labs... knowing them makes the lab itself 99% easier... especially with calculations.. know pre-lab quizes cuz he'll soemtimes have some of those questions on the lab..

Will not help you if you are a guy!!! I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the preferential treatment he gave girls, will practically do their labs for them! TAs are helpful though, especially Tom. All in all, Kluiber is a bitter, creep old man.

i have him for world of chem lab and i've never spoken to him at all. he has 2 different classes going on, so god knows where he is. i only talk to the T.A's and they are really helpful. this class is SOOOOOOOO much work for one credit. Thank God i made friends in that class otherwise i wouldve failed the labs.

The class is very easy, even if you fail the final exam you'll get a B+. It is true that he helps girls more than he helps dudes, but you can get help from TAs. You barely even see him in the lab but when you do avoid asking anything, he won't help you (unless you are a girl).

the class is not that hard. he won't help you but you don't really need his help, just read the manual, do the pre-labs and ask the TAs if you have any questions.

Yeah i laugh at this man. The labs are easy take advantage of the TA's. Try to find the asian TA Ming, hes a really cool guy and he will do anything to make sure you get a good grade. Make friends and help eachother to get good grades. The final exam is all the prelabs in a thick juicy packet, along with some critical thinking questions.

Took him for genchem lab 113. The labs are fairly easy if you watch the videos and read the manual. Make sure to use the TA's. If you're not a white girl, don't bother kluiber. The final is a thick packet of prelabs. Make sure you write down as much as you can on that index card...formulas, equations, where the spots were...as much as you can.

If anything this class should be worth 5 credits.3 hours goes to 4 or 5 hours some times.Amount of work =/= output deserved.I never spoke to him,barely helps,only if your a hot girl. If you screw a lab, have fun for another 3 hours.Do the prelabs,almost exactly like the lab calculations you will do during the labs.

For class(1 credit), you will do more work than lecture( 4 credits). For each lab, there is a prelab, 10 question prelab quiz, a 'quiz' before you start lab, a quiz when you finish, and calculations which take hours to do. The worst 1 credit class you will EVER take! It will mentally challenge you! However, if you put in enough effort, you should manage to get at least a B. Just make sure you do the prelabs right and do all the extra credits you can. The final will be the cherry on top of a horrible semester!!

It is true what they all say chem lab is the worst 1 credit class you will ever take. The labs are supposed to take 3 hrs but they can take up to 4 easily. Be prepared to spend 5 hrs a wk in the lab. Oh yeah and kluiber can be pretty mean when you inevitably have to speak to him. The final exam is impossible and brings everybody's grade down

The class makes you work harder than the lecture. Most of the experiments I recommend you start half an hour ahead of normal class time. Otherwise expect the possibility points off for late. The professor himself doesn't offer much help. He can be somewhat rude when asked about some things. Highly recommend outside help from friends and online.

Word of Truth: The lab manual's your Bible: everything from what to do to how to solve calculations is there. The online videos help show you exactly how to do the experiment. Do the prelabs ahead of time, take notes on how to solve them on your data sheet before class so you don't waste time. Do all the extra credits. Put the effort to get an A.

This class made me sign up for an anger management class.

The best advice I can give u: Just deal with the class. A whole lot of work for 1 credit. Professor won't help. Find the helpful TA's and befriend them. Make friends to work on the lab and calculations with. Bring ur prelab with u to every class. While taking the prelab quiz, take pictures of all the questions because they do repeat. Good Luck.

This class is ridiculous. Lab is supposed to be 3 hours, but takes up to 4 or 5. Don't have any class after because you may find yourself there the whole day if you have to redo a lab. Watch the videos, get the prelabs, work together on calculations, and redo labs with grades below a 75, as you'll drop down a letter grade after the final.

CHEM LAB IS RIDICULOUS. It's a one credit course but it requires more work than any other course. Labs are ridiculously long, 3 hours aren't enough and late points are still taken off if not finished on time. No matter how hard you work all semester, redo experiments and do extra credits, your grade drops one or two letter grades after the final.

Worst course I've ever taken in my life. Will get you very angry and depressed. Computer program to enter your data and calculations in are annoying af! Videos explaining experiments look like they were made during the Revolutionary War -32/10 would recommend...

Lab is not as impossible as people say. Yes it's hard, but a B is actually easy to get if you try. Watch his online videos, do all extra credit and bring your prelab with you to lab (exact same calculations, don't bring to practicals though). Kluiber won't help, but the TA's will; find the most helpful ones in your section and ask them questions.

To pass this class you need 2 things, friends and time. You need to prepare excessively before each lab using all kinds of resources (prelab, manual, videos, tutorials). In the lab, few TAs help so you have to rely on friends for help. Final was extremely hard. PREPARATION & UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS KEY. Way too much work for 1 credit.
