Great teacher. Clear, easy going, willing to let class go into open discussions. Textbook used mainly for tests. Classes are usually more just explaining things. He does everything he can do to make sure you succeed in the class.

Spectacular Professor! Could not ask for a more relaxed class. He is fair in his grading. Expects you to do all your textbook reading on your own. So long as you do, you will pass all the tests. GREAT TEACHER!!! I cannot stress it enough. One of the easiest classes I have ever taken at Santa Fe. He wants you to succeed and as long as you attend class, try on all your assignments, you will easily receive an A. You also only need the book for tests and he lets his classes watch a ton of videos too!

BEST TEACHER EVER!!! He cared about his students and was super helpful. He made the subject interesting and easy to understand. He doesn't ask you to do too much work, but enough so that you understand the concept. He is the coolest teacher I've ever had! If you can definitely take him!

AMAZING! Very caring. He cares about his students and his them passing. You are able to get out of taking the final by coming to every class. He gives online hw that is easy and worth 150pts, attendance is 100pts, and a class presentation worth 200pts if youre bad at tests you can still pass his class even if you do poorly on the tests.

AWESOME teacher!! SUPER easy!! Every quiz and test comes straight from the book! Hardly had to study, half of the questions were basic information. Attendance and tests are the biggest part of your grade, just show up & take the tests online..WILL PASS with an A!

One of my most pointless classes. All you need to do is show up for roll call & take quizzes online. i never studied for a single test and still got by with high B's & A's. if you're looking for an easy A this is your class. But if you really like psych then I'd suggest taking a harder class because i havent learned a single thing.

Professor Barbeau is the best teacher at Santa Fe. His class is incredibly easy and if you don't think it is, he'll make it easy. He's always understanding if you're late (will still count attendance points) and will let you make up tests if you have a real emergency. I don't feel like this review gives him justice.

Such a wonderful teacher. So glad I took him for psychology. Quizzes are online. Only 2 in class quizzes & 2 in class test. Easy if you study. Can skip the final exam if you have perfect attendance. He is just great!

If you dont take this class youre missing out at SF. Hands down a genuinely good teacher and always has a good attitude youll never catch him not smiling. Do your learnsmart with the smart book (dont buy the book) and pay attention to the small details in class. oh yeah theres a research project due at the end and perfect attendance = no final!

Lectures clearly, makes class interesting(it helps if students get involved and open the floor to discussion). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, will be taking other courses taught by him in the Fall.

If you have to take his class (I didn't), this is the person to take. I had an "A" before going into the last test. Should get an "A" regardless. And nope, still not interested in Abnormal Psychology.

I am a psych major and could take this class every day for the rest of my life. This professor is perfect for a simple learning environment mixed with jokes and a laid back style. Interesting lectures and fairly simple tests. Class structure was preferable. Also, he is extremely handsome it was impossible to miss class.

Professor Barbeau is one of the best professors I've had since attending Santa Fe. I'm currently taking him for Abnormal Psych and I love it! It's also an easy A-- quizzes are only 10 questions and you get unlimited attempts. He only assigns a one page writing assignment for every chapter, but it's an easy 100%. Not to mention he's SMOKING HOT.

Dr. Barbeau is super cool, and this class is so easy. 5 writing assignments a page long, and five 25-question tests. That's it. Every class is either lecture or going to the lab for a test. I'm not a psychology major, but I think it's interesting, so I took this class and am really glad I did. Stress-free, really easy. (Oh, and an optional final.)

I can learn and think about personality through this class. From Freud to recent psychologists, I try to analyze my personality according to the psychologists. Dr. Barbeau is an awesome professor to teach about each theory of psychologists.

Professor Barbeau is really down to earth and you can really tell that he enjoys what he teaches. His class consists of six exams, the last one being optional, and two writing assignments. His lectures are pretty straightforward, however, I'd recommend reading the textbook if you want an 'A'.

I enjoyed this class and it is very structured. Assignments are due on Tuesday & Thursdays. You have 6 tests, the 6th one being optional based on the grade you want in the class. You also have 2 GELO writing assignments. You do have 12, 1 page writing assignments. They are in APA format, but overall a breeze. I would highly recommend this teacher

Really cool teacher, super helpful too. Expect feedback on your work. There are two assignments a week, a quiz and then 2 essay repsonses. 6 total exams, last one being optional. If your grade isn't good then you can take the last one and he'll drop your lowest score. As long as you do your work you'll have no problem getting an A.

Easy course! I had a lot going on during my semester in his class and still passed with a "B". Gives points for attending class so attend class. Very laid back professor who is willing to help in anyway possible. Prof. Barbeau is awesome!!!

Professor Barbeau class was probably the easiest that I have had to take this semester. I took it online no need to be on campus for any test. Lectures are pretty much out of the book. The only thing that I did not care much for was the exams are timed 25 questions for 25 minutes so you pretty much need to read the chapter before you take his test!

He's a great teacher. His lectures aren't boring. He cares about your grade. If you go to class, read your chapters and complete your assignments, you'll make a good grade.

Honestly the best professor at santa fe. I have a busy schedule and his class wasn't hard at all which lowered my stress. He's very considerate of his students and he's always available to help you. I highly suggest taking this course. His assignments are easy and his quizzes are based off of the chapters and the test are based off of the quizzes.

This was my first online class and I was worried because I am a traditional in class learner. In the end, I am so glad I took this class online! It was an easy A for me! It does require some reading of the textbook but power points and quizzes reflect what will be on the test. Great professor, great feedback on papers. Always willing to help!

I took abnormal psychology online and was worried how it would turn out but I am so glad I took this class. I really enjoyed how easy everything was and he is always there to help and give you great feedback. You get what you get in the class. Everything is straightforward and very stress free for this course.

I took his class online and I managed to get a decent grade (87) even though there were a couple assignments I failed to turn in due to family problems I was having. His comments on the essays I turned in always made me smile and the work load was never overwhelming. As long as you read the chapters every week, you'll do fine!

Highly recommend. Taking another class with him next semester. I am a psych major and would take every psych class with him forever if possible!

His lectures are easy to sit through. The tests need a lot of studying but the homework and papers are very bearable.

18 writing assignments 6 Examinations (timed; can only be taken once ) There will be an exam for each module (five total) and then a cumulative final exam at the end of the course. Your lowest exam score will be dropped. Therefore, the cumulative final exam is optional.

Professor Barbeau is a great professor, he has really helped me learn a lot in Psychology. I mainly took this class for credit, but I also chose this class because I was a little curious what it was like, and I actually did enjoy it.

Loved Dr. Barbeau and took him for DEP2004 online as well. Really nice guy, very intelligent and gives you the information needed to succeed. His lectures are great and I learned a lot. More importantly his demeanor is kind and receptive, he gives great feedback and lets you know when you're doing well!

I have now taken Dr. Barbeau for 3 classes and everyone one i have earned B in. he really cares about your success and will take time to clarify any questions, reading is mandatory but all test follow the book. class discussion is greatly encouraged to bring different views to the table. study guides are given for each test. best teacher!

Loved this class and great professor. There were 5 easy quizzes throughout (multiple attmepts and no time limit). 5 one page writing assignments and he wants you to get an A. He has a lot of experience as a psychologist and makes the classes super interesting. Test can be a little tricky but the other assignments are easy A. final is optional

You really can't get a better teacher then him. If anyone failed the class and gave a bad review it was because they didn't put the effort to read or go to class because he teaches everything you need to know in the lectures. He also shows videos to help keep the class entertaining instead of just lectures.

There are quizzes and essays every week. Exam questions sometime come from the quiz, but everything comes from the book. You must read the book to pass this course. Final is cumulative. Overall, this was a very easy course. Barbeau is really and always give feedback.

This class was not hard by any means. He drops your lowest test grade (this includes the final) and does count attendance. Very understanding and really cares about your success. There was a lot of class discussion and 5 papers, but they are short. Overall, prof. Barbeau was a good psychology professor!

By far my favorite teacher so far at Santa Fe! He give a quiz and short critical thinking essay due each Wednesday and 5 exams. The last exam is optional based off of how you have done on the previous 4 and there are 2 main essays. He always responds promptly to his students and gives tons of feedback. The book is mandatory! Taking him again!

Downside..... tests are wordy, only 25 minutes to take tests, so read, highlight, underline, make notes from book or you won't be successful on exams.

This class was easy and enjoyable. Attendance is mandatory, since it influences in a large part of your grade, but the classes themselves are really chill. You don't really need to take notes during his lectures, just listen and participate. Tests are about 25 multiple choice and there's a study guide on canvas that will help you a lot! Take him!!

One of the best online teachers i've ever had! He responds so quickly to questions. This is an easy class you have 5 exams and an optional final and a writing assignment every week and as long as you follow the simple rules you will get a good grade. I never got anything but a 10/10. there is also a quiz every week but you get unlimited tries.

Very straightforward and well organized course. I took it online. Just follow his instructions and submit your work on time and you should be fine. In regards to exams, it'll be good to review your book chapters (I think there are two chapters per exam). They are open book.

Dr.B was incredible! He has power-points that go along with the book(that you WILL NEED),and he has exam study guides for each test and an optional final. The papers in this class were on topics that were very interesting. He isn't a tough grader and will tell you exactly what he wants. If only all professors were this awesome! 10/10 recommend!

PSY2012 with Barbeau was amazing. He doesn't make it difficult. If you read your chapters, and take your exams/quizzes on time you will pass.

The only thing bad about him so to speak is that he has so many assignments crowding up the dashboard with upcoming assignments that I actually didn't know we had our first test until after it passed. I know shame on me for not looking ahead of time but still. There are a lot of writing assignments, so if you hate writing, he's not for you.

Took his CLP2140 online and it was a great class. I didn't communicate much with Barbeau during the semester but it's a really fun and easy class. You work out of the textbook and write at least one paper a week but they're short, opinionated, easy papers. Would recommend him.

I took Mr. Barbeau's Psychology course online. Compared to other online classes that I've taken at Santa Fe College, you can tell that Mr. Barbeau actually put in care and effort in creating his course. His quizzes, tests, and weekly one-page paper actually reinforce the content of the course material. Because of that, I learned a lot in his class!

Professor Barbeau was funny and caring and made his class genuinely interesting to take. I learned so much and enjoyed doing so. I would absolutely take him again! You will take several quizzes and write papers weekly, but the course load isn't too heavy.

Professor Barbeau was an amazing professor! He cares for each and every student in class and wants them all to succeed! Every class, he usually just lectures while going over PowerPoints but he gives us study guides to help prepare for tests. As long as you keep up with the weekly quizzes and discussion posts, you will pass!

Took it as a hybrid class and I loved it. There are no extra credit but it's because class is very easy to pass. 6 tests total (including optional finals) and drops lowest tests. As long as you put the effort, you'll get 100s across the board, and the only thing you'll be really graded on are the tests which are also fairly easy.

Dr. Barbeau is an awesome professor, although this class was taken online, the passion is still felt. I enjoyed every bit of this course, interesting info that motivates you to learn the material. You WILL have to READ The test is based on the readings! However, it's very doable. Grading is clear as well as expectations. Take him, you won't regret!

This is my second time taking this professor and I truly enjoyed his class. I learned so much, all his lessons throughout the course are very interesting. He is super nice and very helpful when needed. When my sister needs to take this course I will reccomend him to her and anyone who has a chance to take this professor. Highly recommend!

He was a great professor who actively encouraged discussions in his class and was great at answering questions. All you need to do to get an A on his tests and quizzes is read the textbook. He also reviews tests in class and adds points on some questions. He is caring and knows what he is talking about.

This is a reasonable class. There are writing and online discussion assignments that help to enforce the material and think about issues in the world. The tests were timed and would give you 25 minutes to do a 25 question test. If you complete all assignments and get all As on them and an average of 80% on all tests you can earn an A in the class.

Dr. Barbeau knows his stuff. I took the online class. There was plenty of work to reinforce the material and the material was so interesting. This class kept my interest in abnormal psychology. Ryan Barbeau is one of my favorite professors at Santa Fe College. I had taken him online (this was my first online class) and he was such a sweet guy. This class in my opinion is an easy A. You have to type a one page paper every week but he is an easy grader. My lowest grade in the class was an 88% My only regret is not taking the class in person

The class he has you are given a link for a free textbook. Each week (if you take condensed as i did) you have around 3 chapters to read. Some totaling out to atleast 50 pages. the quizzes arent too bad and neither are the exams. The essays are easy once you figure out how to word them. He is clear and concise with his syllabus.

An amazing professor. I've taken him 2 or 3 times now because his classes are so interesting and he is really smart and funny and keeps every one interested in every class. Really good professor. You won't regret taking his classes.

I took his class online for Summer C. I enjoyed this class SO much. He has exam, writing assignments, discussions and more. I enjoyed every topic we wrote about, and learned so much. He's very organized and easy going. I definitely suggest this class.

I HIGHLY recommend taking his classes. He is an amazing teacher and genuinely cares about his students and how they do in his class. His syllabus is very easy to follow and he makes everything as accessible and easy as he can.

He has this class set up that as long as you do every homework assignment, if you fail all the exams (60 at least) you can pass the class with a B. The class was fun and the information learned was useful. I dock points from him because he doesnt give extra credit and his exams are incredibly tough with only 1 minute per question.

Dr. Ryan is by far one of my favorite professors at Santa Fe. Even though the class is online, he makes you feel involved and gets back to you really quickly. There are 2-3 assignments due each week- a discussion forum based off the reading or a video, one easy writing assignment, and a test every couple modules. I currently have a 100, just saying

By far the best professor at Santa Fe (or any other college). Barbeau was so kind and engaged with the class to hear everyone's opinions. I honestly got so excited to go to class every week. He was also super understanding and gave me an extension when I was having eye trouble. If you just do the reading/pay attention in class you'll ace the exams.

I got a C+, but because of my own personal issues I was having around the time I took his class and I take full responsibility for the grade I received. Overall an easy class. It was fully online, so I never really saw him. He does not post lecture videos often, so make sure you read the textbook chapters and stay on top of your assignments. This is a super easy class. The Professor is super kind and will always give feedback. None of the tests were proctored, and they were all relatively easy. We had a short paper due every week, but they were always interesting to write. Take this teacher!

I've taken Dr. Barbeau's class twice now (General and Developmental Psych) and I can't stress it enough how great of a teacher he is. He's very understanding and explains the different topics he's teaching very well. The assignments for the class aren't time-consuming and are very easy. Take his class!!

I took Dr. Barbeau for PSY2012 and DEP2004 (both honors). He is by far my favorite professor! There isn't a ton of work. If you ever have any issues just let him know and he'll work with you to figure out the best solution. He is very professional and personable; he doesn't just read PowerPoint slides word for word when lecturing.

The class was very engaging and I really felt like I actually learned something. There is A LOT of reading but if you take good notes, you can do well on the tests. Every 2 weeks you alternate between a quiz and test on each unit (3 chapters) with a few assignments in between. Final is optional. Awesome class, awesome professor

Prof. Barbeau is great. Not only is the class easy, he also makes it interesting. The assignments are quick with a mini-paper and quiz at the end of each week based on the assigned reading. Classes are mostly lecture with some discussion. As long as you do your assignments well and turn them in on time, you're basically guaranteed to get an 'A'.

I've gone to one of his classes and he is the best professor I've ever had. (freshman) My second week of school started off with me getting into my first car crash. Mr. Barbeau extended all of my due assignments and showed true concern for my wellbeing. I was also accidentally dropped from his class and he helped in any way he could. Amazing guy.

Reading is imperative. If I read more I could have easily gotten an A. Pretty easy grader, but you do teach yourself everything in the online course by reading the book. I heard his in-person classes are great, so if you can I would prob recommend in-person. Fun class regardless, if you like psych and don't mind reading, take this class!

Dr. Barbeau is easily the best professor I've had all throughout my college experience. He is very knowledgable, caring, and easygoing.The writing assignments are simply a one page response to a couple of questions. If you read the material and turn things in on time, an A is easily attainable. If I could have him as my professor agin I would.

Take. This. Professor. You will not regret it. Every aspect of his teaching style, grading system, and test preparation is perfect. You can EASILY get an A in this class. Optional final exam, 5 short essays, and 5 tests. Thats it! With that said, you will still learn just as much (if not more) from this class than a HW intensive class. 10/10!

Best Psych teacher ever, he's truly amazing and I'm so happy I took the class with him. Do your work, turn it in on time and you'll pass with flying colors!! Got to learn a lot, and he is very caring. If you put effort in the class he will be glad to help you with everything. -Definitely recommend!!! -Textbook is free online. -Very organized.

Professor Barbeau is a great professor. His work was pretty straight forward and was clear on what he wanted from his students. Was consistently there to help and answered any question someone had. There are a few papers and exams, but I promise they're very easy and quick to do. 10/10 recommend

Prof. Barbeau is extremely accommodating. I had a very busy schedule last semester, and was still able to pull off an A+ in this class. He gives you the option to attend in-person or virtually, and attendance is not mandatory. 5 lecture exams, handful of MLA-style papers, and several unit quizzes. This class is genuinely interesting too!

I took Dr. Barbeau's online course and it was amazing! The workload can sometimes be overwhelming, but it's manageable. There's a one-page paper every week along with a quiz or exam and/or a discussion post. Clearly wrote out deadlines and was more than happy to offer extensions when needed. Graded super lenient.

Super easy and straight foward class. Teacher is funny and understanding. Quizes are online and easy and targets what he taught in class. Just pay attention to his lectures and you will be fine.

Absolutely loved taking Dr. Barbeau's course. He is very understanding when sudden things pop-up in life and you have no control over it. He lets you work ahead and is not a hard grader. If you fail this class you just honestly didn't even bother to do any work. He responds quickly, even on weekends.

Professor Barbeau is an amazing professor, his homework is fairly simple and easy. The tests are taken online so you can take it during your own time. His lectures are very clear. Attendance is mandatory, but if you're sick or if something came up just email him and he will excuse it.

He is an amazing professor and I got an easy 100% in this class by just studying, taking thorough notes, and attending class consistently. Attendance is mandatory, though it's not very strict, he's also very caring and will help you with your career path in the field.

Great Professor!! Would 100% take one of his courses again. Very nice guy. Attendance is mandatory but if you email him before class when sick or having an emergency, he will excuse it. Workload isn't anything crazy. Tests and quizzes are done online. Super easy A if you complete the work and show up.

Professor Barbeau was SOO GOOD! He made his exams, papers and guided discussions so easy and clear to get a great grade. I would take him over and over again if I could.

Great professor. All assignments are submitted online and he grades clearly. Lectures only skim the surface, and attendance counts for very little, so it may start to feel unnecessary to show up. Easy A, but read the textbook beforehand to better absorb the material.

Professor Barbeau is the best. He's funny and understanding. If you miss a class and email him about it, he will excuse your absence. All assignments are online, and the lowest test grade is dropped. His exams were very easy and only covered what you learn in class. Everything is posted on canvas. Great professor and fun class.

Amazing class and amazing professor! The course is really well paced so I never felt like I was rushed. Keep in mind that this course is writing heavy but the papers are not that hard or long. There is a decent amount of reading from the textbook though. I would highly recommend Dr. Barbeau, I loved his class and he was super nice and helpful!
