Professor Beni is a very under the radar professor and I wish he was not because he a great teacher. His lectures are long but he puts up practice tests for his exams, and has bonus questions. The tests are short answer, not multiple choice but he give a lot of partial credit. A great professor, if you study, and go to tutoring, you will get an A.
Dr. Beni may be an excellent chemist, but most certainly is not a good instructor. He is inaccessible, deflects questions and does not explain concepts, rather reads directly from PowerPoints. While in a tutoring session with another professor prior to the final, I discovered we had not learned many topics that we should have. Quite frustrating.
Professor Beni is great and straight to the point. He goes through all of the PowerPoint slides and gives out worksheets for practice. He doesnt share specific information about the test format but the tests are usually 10-15 questions no multiple choice. Come to class and do the homework and youll be good for the tests.
Dr. Beni is my favorite professor this year and chemistry isn't even my major! He runs the class differently in that the material and methods learned are used in different ways to solve problems. It's a hard class, but his goal isn't for you to fail- it's to learn to problem solve and think critically. His lectures are absolutely hilarious.
Professor organic chemistry lectures are tough, pay attention to how he explains each and every concept. His exams are easier than the homework. Make sure you use and read textbook. Practice the STUDY GUIDES and SOLUTION MANUAL, understand how to do every problem on the study guide and do all end chapters' HOMEWORK after each class! It helps!
HE IS ONE OF THE WORAT PROFESSORS EVER DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN HE DOESN'T CARW ABOUT HIS STUDENTS AND HES VERY RUDE I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TAKING THIS PROFESSOR. HE DOESN'T WORK WITH YOU SO YOU CAN PASS HIS CLASS BECAUSE HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU!! ONCE AGAIN DONT TAKE HIS CLASS IM WARNING YOU!!!
Dont take him hes the worst professor Ive have since Ive attended the university
Don't take him. He doesn't explain things clearly, brushes through everything and expects us to retain large amounts of information. He doesn't take in ANY late work be it homework or even important test. He doesn't have any extra credit or make up days.
awful professor. It's clear he doesn't care about his students
Amazing professor. Truly cannot speak highly enough on him. Made class so interesting and fun but also had a light workload and understood we had other classes. Incredibly engaging and empathetic. If I could give him a 100/5 I would.
Dr. Beni is a very good chemistry professor, and the material he teaches is fairly straightforward with a lot of complimentary online study materials that he makes them for each class. There's a textbook a lot of sample multiple choice test preparation questions. He also gives you some optional extra bonus questions each time. He runs a good class.
He teaches from the start to the end of the class. He is very monotone and doesn't answer all my questions. He lectures so much and doesn't help. I only passed with a C because he curved my 69% to a C.
Dr. Beni is the best organic chemistry I professor. Organic chemistry is often regarded as a GPA-killer course, however with Dr. Beni's numerous practice tests, hw assignments (due at the end of the term) it's a breeze. MAKE SURE TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE of all of these things and go to him for help if needed. He also curves every exam (not final)!
Professor Beni is the sweetest and most caring professor, he is super understanding and always willing to help.
Really enjoyed the class and learned a lot from it. Organic is not an easy subject but the class was very helpful. Make sure to study well for each exam. I would recommend him and this class.
Was a great professor, caring and teaching well. Although he is a bit hard on exams when it comes to grading, the entire class as a whole is productive.
The professor was really good; he genuinely cared about the material he taught and our understanding of it. There were numerous practice exam questions, but the tests were not easy. His grading was fair and transparent.
Dr.Beni is such an amazing professor. He is very understanding and the lab is very straightforward! The labs are also very fun and engaging. Take Dr.Beni!!!
Dr. Beni is a great professor who cares about the success of his students. The experiments are easy to follow and perform and we are usually out of the lab within an hour. The midterm and final are tough but he is very helpful if you have any questions when taking the exams. This is my second semester with him and I highly recommend him.
Dr. Beni is a good professor. I took him for Organic Chemistry II Lab. He does not grade difficult on your lab notebook, and he gives lots of extra credit opportunities at the end of the class. The midterm and final exams are difficult, so they could either drop or raise your grade. He is understanding and is willing to help you when needed.
He lectured quickly, however that meant I didn't feel like I was really grasping the concepts. I did alot of outside class studying. He did regular exams, plus bonus exams for every exam which was very helpful. He didnt address questions much in the middle of lecture but would circle back later for students questions.
Dr. Beni is a great chemistry professor. I greatly enjoyed taking his organic chemistry II lab class because it was always very fast, and Dr. Beni was able to explain the concepts very well. The directions for each experiment were clear and easy to understand, but exams (midterm and final) were very difficult.
Not a hard professor, just have to do lab notebooks.
Honestly you just have to come to class and participate. Lab is easy and he helps out a lot. We never stay for more than one hour. When it comes to the exams, they are usually 10 questions, so study for that. Then we also have a lab report that due including our Lab book that we are graded on.
Tests weigh majority of the grade, there are no retakes but there are extra credit opportunities. He moves really fast with lectures and can be somewhat hesitant with answering questions.
The tests are the most important thing about the class. Get those taken care of and you'll be ok.
The quizzes are a bit difficult in this class so be prepared
Dr. Beni was an okay professor. Throughout the course I studied as much as possible and have been maintaining a good grade. Just pay attention and study and you'll be fine. His tests are multiple choice and he gives multiple opportunities for extra credit.
Just come to class and participate. As long as you do that you'll be just fine!
Amazing professor. Amazing man. Like no professor you've ever had.
I love Dr.Beni he is very clear in the Organic Chem Lab and sometimes he can be a bit difficult to understand in lectures. You will have homework opportunities and alot of extra credit. The best advice I could give you is to go to class and try.
Professor Beni is really cool. All you have to do is do your homework, pay attention, and study!
Not a good communicator in lab. Best to catch his office hours
This professor does have very tough exams, but they do come with extra credit to boost your score. Make sure you study!!!
He was cool
Dr. Beni is a very good professor. Make sure you go to class and take notes because the tests are pretty hard, but he does give extra credit tests to help your grade.
Dr. Beni loves power points and he posts all of them on e-learn. He does give out multiple extra credit opportunities that will help your grade. All tests are in person. Overall as long as you study, you will be ok.
Make sure you pay attention during lectures and study for tests, I would say he could do a lot better at teaching the material to the class. Gives extra credit for the tests though.
Dr. Beni is a cool professor . He does have a heavy accent but he will help. Test though are hard but its Organic Chem but he does let you take home some test. All assignments are not due until the end of the semester so you have time to finish assignments. He does also have extra credit opportunities Overall he's super cool would take again.
Dr. Beni made sure we knew what the labs would cover before we began the experiment. Dr. Beni was always super helpful and straight to the point about what we needed to know/understand. Participation is key!
Dr. Beni is a very educated professor. Powerpoints are provided, but it really helps if you read the book material before class. I would encourage you to do your homework as the class goes and do not leave it for the end. He was accessible for help outside of class and I really appreciated that. I would recommend his class!
Excellent!
If you want to succeed in Dr. Beni's class, you have to put in the effort to earn your grade. Classes are lecture heavy and he moves at a fast pace as if the students are already supposed to know the information he's teaching. Utilizing his office hours, tutoring, and additional studying would help be successful in a class like this.
Dr. Beni gives a lot of extra credit to boost grades. The class will feel fast paced, and sometimes Dr. Beni glosses over information, but taking the time to study and understand the concepts will help you succeed. Doing the homework, attending office hours, and studying will help you pass the class.
Pro: He gives extra credit bonus test to slightly boost test grades, he will do example problems of what he is talking about to demonstrate Cons: VERY Fast paced if you miss it you miss it, a slight language barrier GO TO CLASS ORGANIC CHEM IS KINDA LIKE THE SHOW EMPIRE, ONCE YOU MISS AN EPISODE YOU ARE GONNA BE LOST
Dr. Beni class is very fast paced and must attend, but he will give the opportunity for everyone to catch up and understand the material. His teaching style is very laid back, he's pleasant in his lectures and tone.
Hes a good teacher don't try to cheat because he will catch you. Curves test but please study for them and go to office hours to build a relationship.
His attitude is very nasty when it comes to not understanding the material. When we ask him a question sometimes he do not want to answer it or he will look at you weird until he move on to the next one. But on a good day when doesn't have an attitude he will actually help you.
When it comes to his exams you have to be ready to focus and put in some work because he do these little reviews before every test and it helps. But when it comes to his lecture you need to be prepare to go to tutoring or office hours because he just run through the slides.
Dr. Beni's organic chemistry I lab was pretty easy! Just attended every lab and complete all the experiments with your group and keep up with your lab notebook and you'll be fine. There's also a midterm and final test for the class but if you look over your notebook and study for it, you'll get a good grade!
I absolutely enjoyed Dr. Beni's lecture class. His lecture class was very interesting. He goes through the powerpoint quickly, but he will provide real-time examples and he'll slow down or go back to a slide if need be. He gives only 3-4 tests and he also gives bonus tests in between.
Beni's course has been tough and fast-paced, leaving little room for struggling students. Unfortunately, it feels like he lacks personal connection and empathy towards his students' challenges. I'm just hoping to pass with a C, but without more support and understanding from Beni, it feels like an uphill battle
Dr. Beni is an amazing professor. He has a lot of extra credit opportunities, works with his students, and is very open to allowing students to do makeup tests.
Dr. Beni is a great instructor who gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.
This was a difficult subject to learn. He is a fast teacher, and so be prepared to be lost sometimes. His tests are hard, but they are always multiple-choice questions. Overall, the class was okay, and his teaching style was okay.
Dr. Beni is not the friendliest professor. He can be a little disrespectful at times. He takes his job seriously and will not hesitate to breathe down your neck during every test. However he does offer a few extra credit points and grades fairly. he is straightforward about what he expects from you. Take him only if you would like a challenge.
Awesome Professor
Test are online but in person.
Very easy class just have to actually come to class.
Dr. Beni is a good professor. He will work with you to improve your grade if you're not doing so well. One thing though is his voice is quiet. Overall, I would suggest taking his course because he's a professor that care about you as a student.
I had him for Organic Chemistry II Lab. You just have to show up, do your notebook & study for the midterm and final. You should be good if you do those things!
Dr. Beni is a very understanding professor and is always willing to make accommodations as long and you communicate. He does not give an overbearing amount of work and it's very easy to manage. He offers help outside of class and is very helpful during lab as long as you come to class and participate. I would recommend taking him.
Dr. Beni is very understanding. His test are hard, but he offers lots of extra credit for each test.
Dr. Beni is a good teacher he only wants for his students to do their best. I have taken him for lab and lecture and he is very understanding. The only issue is that his tests are hard and he sometimes does not break down certain things, Organic Chem is not easy to teach but he makes it work.
I took him for lab, you are required to have a lab notebook and you are required to turn it in at the end of the semester so make sure that you keep up with what you do in the lab class.
He does a lab note book with all the labs you do in class. Make sure you stay on top of that!!
Dr. Beni is a great professor. The only problem is the midterm and the final. His big tests were super hard and the labs did not fully prepare you for them. He expects you to dig deeper for the tests, but he is considerate and helpful.
very good professor, i would take again
Go to class, and study for exams. The course is exam heavy.
Great professor outside of class, highly recommend you stay on top of the work OUTSIDE of class because he will not go into depth in class. He expected for you to already have a base knowledge coming in which is listed in the syllabus.
Quizzes every week over loads of material, never able to fully grasp or understand lectures.
Great professor, just show up to class!
He doesn't answer emails and doesn't really answer questions during the lecture.
Dont miss class. Study on you own time as well as using your tools around you.
Fast paced. Pay attention to lecture as well as study outside of the class. frequent test as well.
Very good class just have to actually come to class and study the materials. Will take again for another course.
Excellent class and will take again for another course.
Expects you to know previous knowledge, just try to stay on top of work
I recommend this class because professor Beni Is very knowledgable about the topic and willing to answer questions. Organic chemistry is a difficult topic in general so be prepared to study and apply yourself. There are however lots of opportunities for success
Dr. Beni. is a great professor. He is understanding and wants everyone to pass the class. I took him for the Organic Chemistry I Lab and received an A. Make sure to do your lab notebook and all the bonus/extra credit he provides. I am also taking him now for the Organic Chemistry II Lab class, and am looking to receive an A or B. He is a great!

His grading system really relies on tests. In terms of studying, there's no study guide given, but he gives plenty of extra credit opportunities,
Beni is probably the best Ochem teacher you can take here. It may be hard to understand him but he is really nice and willing to work with you if you are nice back. Come to class and focus on doing the homework and extra credit .
If you take this professor be ready to study just like you would for any organic lecture class. Go to his office hours to get a better understanding of the materials, study guides, and homework before the test so that you can do good. He offers bonus quizzes after tests to boost your test grade. Take good notes and GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURSS.
Not the greatest at teaching and teaches fast. Gives bonus for all tests though.
Chille he Ight, you deff have to teach yourself tho cause he teach so fast. He will not answer your questions if you need help but he will mess with you on them bonus quizzes to help boost your grade if you scored low on exam.
Dr. Beni for lab is a cool professor. He explained labs on board and was willing to help lab groups if you had questions. Would recommend taking for ORGO II Lab.
He is a decent professor. I wouldn't retake him because I never really passed his test or got a true understanding of the course. However, I always ended up with a good grade in the end with the help of the bonus test and the curving. Overall, Organic Chem is a challenging course so I tried to not blame him so much.
Dr. Beni is a good professor and he cares about student success. This is a very difficult course no matter who the professor is. Your grade is test heavy but he gives lots of opportunities such as bonus exams and pop quizzes, to improve your grade
Professor Beni is way better than last year. He gives students numerous opportunities to help their grades improve from pop quizzes, extra credit, and bonus tests. He gives homework based on the lesson and it is to be turned in on paper. Overall, he is a good professor the students have to have real discipline to learn and understand the material.
Organic chem is hard but he gives bonus quizzes to bring up your grade.
Beni is a good teacher! If you actually put forth with going to class and turning in assignments on time you will pass!
Dr. Beni is a good professor and he cares about student success.
Dr. Beni is awesome! All you have to do is make sure you show up to lab and do the work and at the end turn in your lab notebook.
make sure to study as well as use notes
He's a good professor, he goes through the lectures a little fast but I don't go only by his lectures I would write down the structures he writing down while writing down the key points of the lecture. Always ask questions if you're confused, he isn't a rude professor.
Make sure to come to class because he does take attendance. He gives tons of extra credit and there is homework that is due at the end of the semester. Make sure to use reviews to help prepare for the test. I have taken him twice.
The experiments are pretty straightforward. There is a lab notebook to complete over all of the experiments that is due at the end of the semester. Attendance matters! There is one lab report due at the end of the semester and a final exam. There is one extra credit opportunity. Would take him again.
Beni is a good guy, but his teaching is not the best. The lecture is good but he needs to break things down a lot more to get a full understanding. He does provide multiple extra credit opportunities so you can pick up points in that area.
Very thorough, very fast-paced lectures
make sure you participate and alsoi do your work on time
Dr.Beni is a smooth professor who gives a lot of extra credit. Just make sure to study and ask for help when needed. Also, do the very important homework.
The experiments are straightforward. There is a lab notebook to complete over all of the experiments that is due at the end of the semester. Attendance matters! There is one lab report due at the end of the semester and a final exam. Would take him again.
Dr.Beni is a good professor. Just make sure to do homework and study for tests and extra credit. He will help you if you ask.
Great professor, just learn how to study to earn the grade you want. He gives extra credit also, many chances to do well.
For lecture, just be prepared for the exams. Learn how to study!!
Beni is pretty cool. Just show up because he relies heavy on attendance. As far as feedback or anything related to your grade, he isn't helpful.
Pretty good! Make sure you take time to study on your own. As long as you show up and are willing to learn you'll be fine.
The lecture is quite difficult then org chem 1.. so be prepared class is test heavy, but there are bonus quizzes to help you out. Attend office hours!! They help.
Pretty straightforward with what he's looking for. Just attend the labs and follow the formatting for his work.
Just show up to labs and follow the rubric for the notebook
Dr. Beni is a great instructor that gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.
Dr. Beni is an instructor that is going to make sure you do well!
Very Good Professor. Will work with you to make sure you succeed and pass the course.
Professor is really good. He will work with you to make sure you pass the course. Also his labs are very interesting and engaging.
I took his lab for OChem 2, fairly easy. Attendance is neccessary so you can get the labs and at the end of the semester you turn in your lab note book! For lab its an easy A.. idk about Lecture
He is a great professor for Lab giving easy and simple instructions to follow to get the best result from the experiment. In lectures, he is still a great professor just takes some time for him to break and explain some concepts you fs have to keep asking him to explain so that you can gain an understanding!
Make sure you read and reread the PowerPoint. Practice the material on your own with practice problems because the test is information from the PowerPoint you just have to be able to apply it.
Make sure you read over and reread the PowerPoint and practice problems on your own. The test comes from the PowerPoint but you have to be able to know how to apply the information you cant just memorize whats on the PowerPoint.
His final exam in this lab is really hard but the labs are easy and quick. We'd always leave within an hour, but there is a lab book and lab report you turn in at the end of the semester.
Great professor. A lot of opportunities to obtain extra credit.
He gives opportunities for extra credit. However, the class is test heavy. You will need to study and practice the problems outside of the class. Do not just try to memorize practice problems.
Instructor is very clear with experiment objectives. If you ask questions, he is eager to help you. Be present and participate and your grade will reflect your efforts.
The class is hard but Dr. Beni provides a decent amount of extra credit. It is very test heavy so you really need to study the PowerPoints he lectures. I found it helpful to keep up with the homework before each test. As long as you actively participate in class and study you should be okay grade-wise.
Dr. Beni is really good at getting you in and out of class. I really appreciated how streamlined it was even for the longer experiments. He is clear about grading criteria for the notebook and final paper. He grades both off attendance and your actual participation in class. There is no study guide for the final so study the lab manual.
The class was okay but when I would ask questions sometimes he wouldn't answer and start talking to other people which would make me feel bad. Then would tell me he never seen me in his class although I attended every class and never missed one. So if you take him make sure he knows and remember your face.
Very few assignments and were due at the end but wasnt alot of work. Just was kinda hard expressing to him about my concerns to the class.
Professor Beni has a deep understanding of the material, but unfortunately, his communication skills leave much to be desired. He tends to go through lectures very quickly and often assumes students understand complex concepts without providing enough explanation or clarification.
In the lab, Professor Beni is a bit more approachable, but still not the best at explaining procedures or clarifying instructions. You'll need to be proactive and ask a lot of questions to ensure you're on track with experiments.
Easy labs however you don't learn anything from them as you are just completing the procedures on the paper given to you and then when the final exam comes you are likely to fail.
It is best to go to his office hours if you don't understand. You can easily get lost in this course.
Exams are extremely hard but Dr. Beni has done better with helping students.
Labs are easy but the final is brutal.
It is easy to get lost in this course, however if you form study groups, participate in lectures, and attend office hours it will definitely help towards overall understanding and final grade.
Dr. Beni is a pretty straightforward professor. He's very clear on the dates of exams. Exams are a big component of your grade so it's best to study very hard and ask him any questions you may have. It's also very easy to get behind in the lecture, so make sure you attend every class. He also gives bonus points towards exam which come in handy.
Dr. Beni is a good professor for organic lab. He briefly discusses what's going to be done for the day and gets us in and out. There's not many assignments, besides a lab notebook and lab report due at the end of semester. Then you have a final exam, the final is very challenging. Highly suggest looking over the lab manual. Otherwise easy class.
I liked the class because the labs were very quick and easy to do. Make sure you note each lab conducted. The final was quite difficult though.
GoodLabProfessor
He's not very tough, he offers extra credit.
He gets you in and out of the lab. You won't be in there for the whole 3 hours.
He's an okay lab instructor/professor. The labs are not long at all. He gets you in and out. He doesn't give out a lot of work either.
Dr. Beni is pretty cool, just make sure you come to class and keep up with your lab notes , so you won't be scrambling in the end when your notebook is due.
Only took him for Lab and he is great. The lab is not long. The only work we have is our lab notebook which he helps with. He gets us in and out.
A good professor will have you in and out, just make sure you show up to class
Organic Chemistry is not an easy class, so I would recommend going to his office hours and tutoring.
The labs don't take very long.
Experiments are pretty easy and very quick. Just make sure to do all the reports after lab is completed for the week so you are ready to turn in lab notebook at the end of the semester. Also keep all the papers he gives to write your lab reports and study for the final. Beni is a good and easy professor to take, I would definitely take him again.
I had Dr. Beni for Organic Chemistry Lab II. Lab was pretty quick and easy, got in and out but make sure you are keeping your lab notebook updated.
Attendance was mandatory because it is a Lab. Each lab we did a different experiment. Lab was very fast, in there from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
I took him for chm 2 lab and it was pretty easy and fun he is a really good teacher I love him for lab class he gets straight to the point
Dr. Beni is an instructor whose class will not be an easy A. It is definitely a class that you have to work for, as this is not an easy course, but Dr. Beni is helpful due to his organized and structured environment. Attendance is mandatory.
Stay on top of lectures and go to office hours. He is lecture heavy but he gives extra credit test before and sometimes after tests. Again don't rely solely on this, try your best to learn and understand material. The homework/reviews don't help that much but if you can, I would go over them with him to understand the thought process needed to pass
He lectures every class and then gives hard test that doesn't have any of the material from the lectures. Doesn't care about students that try and ignores emails.
