Mr. Bing is a fantastic professor who is sympathetic to people's problems outside of class and makes learning fun. We also discuss thought provoking subjects where he is also respectful of different opinions.

Amazing professor!! Gives out fair amount assignments, attend both 101-108 classes, it's the only way to get extra credits/participation grade, respect people opinions. If I could I would definitely take his class again. The level of difficulty is a 0 for me but I couldn't choose it.

Ryan has been more than patient with me in regards of attendance and getting through lectures. He respects the fact that I have a personal life, along with working a full-time job. Professor Bing is a go-to person if you have something to ask. His grading is pretty easy, as long as you complete what he asks you to do. He gives students many chances to improve their grades. However, his teaching is pretty boring and if you are looking for an interesting class, he may not be the one.

Generally presents material in an engaging manner. Funny and generally helpful if you have questions. Really cares about participation and attendance so show up. Only criticism I had is he maybe needed to explain how to do peer reviews of fellow student's essays better. He breaks the research paper into manageable chunks which is nice

So far I was Lucky enough to have had two really awesome English professors. He is no Exception to that statement. I was nervous about writing a 20+ page paper during his 7 week summer ENG 102 class. Well he definitely made me feel at ease and before I knew it i had well over the required number of pages done. He is super great at helping too

Ryan is an amazing professor. I took him in 098 last year, this year for 101 and next year for 102. Hes fair with his grading and his work assignments. His class structures are easy to get on board with. Come to class and have fun! Coming to class also gives you extra credit. If you think like me, credit credit for coming to class is a no brainer

I came into English 101 being somewhat nervous as to how I would perform. The professor does a great job at putting those fears aside. I enjoyed taking the course. He really values attendance, and participation. It's something I value so it wasn't a problem for me to do either. Respect amongst other classmates is very important as well.

Great Professor. Wrote 5 papers in his 10 week class so be prepared to write/ manage your time well. Id recommend coming to class, attendance does effect your grade. Welcoming from day one, often asks for the classes feedback on decisions to get a good understanding of how everyone feels. Chose good prompts to have us write about and didn't make them seem boring at any given point.

I am currently taking him spring 2019 and he was actually recommended to me by another student. He lets you make up work and doesnt deduct points. He is so understding and so patient and he really will work with you. Literally only homework/ work you have is the research paper. NO TESTS, no extra assignments.

I was dreading doing English 102 because of the research paper and it was my second time. My first time was terrible but it was with a different professor but Professor bing made it easy for me since he broke it down into sections and gives you a timeline of when each part is do and sits with you and gives great feedback .

Online class but participation in discussions is mandatory. Very flexible and generous with due dates and he is always willing to help. Breaks papers down into smaller chunks to make it easier. Would take again.

He is really understanding and caring professor that will try to help you when you need it. Grades are mostly based on essays but shouldn't be hard as long as you turn in all the assignments and follow the directions.

Prof Ryan Bing is an awesome professor. His syllabus and grading criteria are pretty clear. He doesn't assume every students have great Eng reading and writing skills, he would explain things in very simple way and make sure everyone understood. Attendance isn't mandatory but you need to contact him and your classmates to catch-up.

Not the fasted to put grades in, and I would have loved some more feedback. However, very easy going and very easy grader. English 102 - Books were very cheap. 3 regular books, he provides a pdf of the one. They were under $30 total. I did need Grammarly premium, which was a surprise. Overall great class- very easy A. Don't stress it, do the work.

I took this class online during the summer and I liked it. Our class had to read two books and develop a final research paper using the books. The research paper is the only assignment. I learned alot but this class was HARD. SO MUCH WORK! Only take his class if your ready to do all the reading and the work which is a lot! Even online hours and hours of reading and writing papers every week.

Overall the semester felt a little unorganized sometimes (assignments due dates incorrect, clearly copied and pasted from other semesters/classes, wrong reading for the week, etc) and I wish he gave more in-depth feedback so I can get better as a writer. He's very hands OFF as a professor. You'll literally be helping people rewrite their WHOLE essays in his class instead of him helping you/them.His grading is literally 1 point,per everything and he's cool with you using AI to write but you gotta go to a tutor for everything in this class. It's like you need 8 different hands on your work but his.
