well i found it real easy bc i know the stuff befor hand but i took it as a minimester and otehr ppl struggled only 14 left out of 30. probably bc the pace tho so dont worry. has really corny jokes but they kept me up so all good.

VERy hard mini-mester because he went by the material TOO fast, might be a lot better taken for a full 16 weeks. he makes the corniest jokes, but he can be funny at times.

I hate math, but when I took his class it turned into fun. He makes crazy jokes and is very funny. I recommed him for this course, who ever is interested. I like the way he teaches the material, it is helpful. As long as you pay attention to what he is teaching, you will learn and pass his class.

He's a great teacher. He did not let us use calculators for anything. So if use the calculator most of the time, I dont take him. Other then that he is a helpful teacher.

Students beware of this class act! He seems ok at first but in my opinion he's overly critical in the way he grades tests and quizzes. Plus, his tests are timed and he doesn't give any extra time at all. Btw, there's a lot of pop quizzes and he only gives a 5 minute break for a 3.5 hour class. Also, he doesn't explain what he's teaching thoroughly

Mr. Craig is pretty hilarious, very nice teacher. However, he jokes around in class too much which kinda distracted me from learning and being serious about the class. I liked that he was very helpful especially when i asked him a question about a certain problem. class motto "SUCK IT UP" he doesnt like complainers or sleepers.

Unfair and rude

VERY HARD TEACHER! Overly critical in his grading. Will do things like take off 6 points on a problem worth 8 points for making a mistake like not carrying down your exponent even if you got the correct answer. Way too difficult for a remedial class at a community college. In my 0308 I made an A with another teacher and now I'm failing 0310... JOY!

I failed his class. He was way too hard and a very picky grader. He should not be teaching remedial classes for people that suck at math. Would probably be better teaching upper level math for people who are math majors. Test review days sucked because he goofs off too much and we didn't have time to cover everything.

Awesome! He's super funny if you don't have a stick up ur a-- He's a great teacher and definitely knows what he's talking about. He doesnt use the textbook very much. His tests aren't multiple choice,but if you study they're pretty easy. The only thing is that he grades hard and takes points off for minor mistakes. BUT OVERALL A GREAT TEACHER.

Very Very Funny. He is very unorthidox when it comes to teaching, but he is very affective. And for the record, he is not hard. I am like totally stupid when it comes to math and i passed with a C. and that was with me only doing 1 test correction. NO HOMEWORK NO TEXTBOOK!! NO USE OF CELLPHONE. It is very easy, Mr Craig know the subject, overall it is super easy. He doesnt like to be corrected & it'll always be his way when it comes to math. Everything he does is on the board & gives extra points if you go up. He fools around alot &takes up so much class time, some things are just not funny!

GREAT PROFESSOR. He makes the class go by quick he helps and explains everything.

He tries to make his class intresting and is obviously in love with the subject, but the only thing is when someone need help, he really didn't offer much advice. He was funny, don't get me wrong, but what wasn't was he picked on the students. If you got the answer wrong, yes he would tell you how to do it, but really made you feel dumb.

Took his mini-mester for college algebra. I have to say it was easy for my he stayed after class to help all his students. He replies to your e-mail that same day. Overall he teaches great and is a hard grader, funny and a great professor. If you are a responsible student and do all your work you shouldn't have a problem. Don't miss class.

Horrible teacher. Will not help you at all and he does pick on the students. He is not very professional. He was good at talking about his two sons and telling lame jokes, but I wanted him to explain the material and he did a poor job at that. Worst teacher I had at lonestar. Grading HORRIBLE!

When people say "he grades hard!" they mean he takes off a point if you forget a negative sign on a test. (Which would make the answer wrong!!) You must show ALL work. He WILL help you if you have a question, JUST ASK! He's a GREAT teacher. He IS silly and had me laughing so hard I was crying! Loves him!!!

He takes points off for putting wrong sign, but if there are 3 parts to an answer and you forget one part, he'll only take off one part. Most teachers would count the whole answer wrong, but he still gives partial credit. Easy A, and he actually explains problems. He tells you WHY something is that way and he gives you multpiple methods per problem

Mr. Craig is an amazing teacher. For those who say he is a hard grader, I'd have to disagree. I think he allows you earn more points than most teachers do. He is very helpful and makes math fun to learn. I always hated math and was terrible at it, but after taking this class, I actually enjoy it. He is so funny and makes math easy to understand.

i took Mr. Craig in the summer and the class was a breeze. awesome teacher. explains every answer. quiz everyday. more than 100 points to be received on each test. tells pretty lame jokes but hes funny at the same time. kinda reminded my class of the evil doctor from phenius and ferb. LOL

He was a cool and funny teacher, other than that, I didn't like his way of teaching. I suck at math, but he made it even harder to understand, but that's just my personal opinion. Didn't give partial credit either on tests.

Textbook is not required however if you like having a book for reference get one. His notes are very easy to understand, he usually comes up with them from the top of his head. He makes sure everyone understands the material. He gives bonus points for the people who solve problems on the board so bring your expo marker. Great teacher recommend him!

I had Mr. Craig for both Algebra classes. He is an amazing teacher. I did not like math at all until I was enrolled in his class. He made math fun and understandable. Just an fyi, he is a big dork but will have you laughing all throughout the class, except when he is upset! Either way, he is a great teacher and helps his students in every way.

He is awesome. Frankly, his style of teaching is incomparable, and the most effective. If you fail his class, just being honest, you simply did not play your part.

This is my second time taking Mr. Craig. He is a very good math teacher and knows his material very well. He answers questions so that everyone will understand. I passed his class both times with an A!! If you don't pass you honestly aren't trying. I don't understand how any one would fail. Totally recommend him!!!

Mr. Craig is not a good teacher. He shows favoritism towards chics and couples and is very distant in his reponses to question. You will spend 3 weeks going on material and on the test he adda a bunch of crap he didnt even cover. He is a funny guy but thats about it. He will degrade you at all cost. Pass this teacher up. he is not a nice guy.

Not very helpful. ALWAYS goes off track during lecture and talks about random sometimes inappropriate things. I do not want to hear about it. I'm in class to learn about math not something random. Does not use the textbook but takes his own notes instead, which aren't helpful at all. You kinda have to learn by yourself.

I LOVE Mr. Craig! Best teacher ever! He is funny but down to business when it comes to math. He is very clear and explains things well. I hated math in high school; now I love it! He doesn't use a text book but has plenty of worksheets, homework, and YouTube videos to help. He is hard, but worth it. You won't regret this class. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

funny teacher - has YouTube channel and videos for home study for reference. no textbook, he has lab handouts online. not much homework, extra credit given -- if you practice the handouts and attend class you will do fine. class is very entertaining

Mr Craig is the only professor in my entire time learning that makes me excited to come to class to learn. Granted, he does stray from the subject from time to time but it's always funny and entertaining. The man is a pro in what he does and never lets you give up until you learn it. He doesn't use the textbook and rarely gives homework.

Mr. Craig was an absolute delight last semester! Not only are his lectures engaging but they are easy to understand! He teaches in steps that build a great foundation for understanding and applying algebra in our daily lives. Take it from someone who struggled with math in the past, Mr. Craig will give you a practical sense of math and algebra!

Primarily Mymathlab for HW. His saving grace is that you can teach yourself with his youtube channel math videos. And you have to review alone with the reviews he puts up on mymathlab. He skims over everything in class. So, you have to dedicate yourself personally to teach yourself and remember a huge chunk of info before each quarterly test.

Professor Craig has to be one of the best teachers I have had. He makes himself available to help with extra studying. He provides you resources that will help you. If you are not a math person like I wasn't you better be ready to work HARD! That is true for any teacher you take. Practice graphing alot, that was my biggest hurdle. I ended up getting a B in a summer session and I was SUPER HAPPY with that!

Took him for 0310 and currently for 1314. He is funny and sarcastic at times but nothing too overboard. His explanation and methods are better than the book. Any math class requires effort. The keys to his class are: do your homework to take advantage of extra points, ask questions, watch his youtube channel for further explanation and show up.

He gives a lot of extra chances to do well in his course, by giving test corrections and board points. He cracks a lot of jokes in class and can go off on rants, which makes the class go by fast.

Overall I think he was very easy going and he gives you the chance to pass with an A. He was rude at times, that is the only negative thing I could say. You need to do your homework, participate in class, study and pass the exams and come to class. He has Youtube Channel, his lectures are all there. He uses Mymathlab. 4 exams. lots of quizes.

If math isn't your thing in general be prepared to work for your grade. It's not given to you for free especially with Mr. Craig. He offers 2 pts added to your final average for doing all your homework and allows 1 test correction. Because of this I made an A in his class. First A ever in a math class! If I can do it you can do it. Show up & study.

This professor is my favorite professor I have ever had. He keeps class fun and lighthearted, and I have never met a funnier teacher in my whole life. He makes faces and does weird voices and knows every student by heart. He truly cares about your grade and you as a whole. He works hard to make sure every student understands the material!

He gets off topic a lot also you are going to have to pay a extra 100$ for this class for mymathlab which you would be doing 54 homeworks. If you skipped remedial math he will bother you about it when you ask him for help. Three test and you get to fix one of them and no quizzes and extra 2 points for 96 or higher on hw

he gives all the tools you need to pass as long as you try. homework is a large part of your grade! he is extremely funny and sarcastic, does get off topic a lot. final grade consists of 3 tests, the final, and homework.

Fair grader, allows one test correction, if you score high on all your hws you may get points added to your final grade. really cares about his students and is absolutely hilarious, i'd take him for all my math courses if I could

I was originally intimidated about the thought of entering my first math college course, but honestly the class was extremely easy. Mr. Craig teaches very efficiently, while also making the class very humorous and entertaining. He is very helpful and provides many resources for the success of his students. Wish I could have him for another class.

If you tend to struggle in math, I would not recommend Mr. Craig. He doesn't seem to have patience when needed for him to help you understand. He tends to get off topic frequently quoting movies and telling stories.

Mr. Craig is a good math teacher. He is very wise. If you struggle with math he can help you understand it, but you have to take the initiative to do well. Some can consider him funny and some think he can be a jerk. That aside he is a wonderful math teacher and does have a sense of humor.

This professor Isn't that bad he actually cares for his students. don't bother buying the textbook he doesn't use it. He likes to talk about his personal life which theirs nothing wrong with that. He deducts points instead of marking the whole answer wrong. If you need to reach him outside of class he's really good at that too.

No quizzes. Homeworks on mymathlab consist from 6-11questions. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Test questions usually come from homework, he usually goes over some homework problems in class so SHOW UP. He has 3 Exams & FINAL. His exams are PART 1 w/o calculator & Part 2 with calculator! Lets you do TEST CORRECTIONS! Final Multiple choice with 2-4 workout probs.

Ryan Craig's a phenomenal professor. If you miss class, don't worry--just don't make it a habit--he has plenty of step-by-step videos on Youtube. He teaches with ease & make's the subject matter easy to learn (even when it looks difficult). He's funny & quirky so be prepared to laugh but LEARN too.

Professor Craig is the funniest teacher I've had so far. He does tend to go off topic but that doesn't take away from his amazing teaching skills. I love math in general, but I look forward to attending his class every week. He wants you to pass and he helps in any way he can. Participate and pay attention. Only downfall is mymathlab cost $100.

Mr. Craig has been one of my favorite professors here at Lonestar. Some may not enjoy his sarcasm or jokes it helped me enjoy the class 100x more. He will take a student that is not good at math (like me) and turn them into an A student. Truly cares about his students and is not that tough of a grader. This professor really loves math. Hes extremely precise with every little detail that is in math. He will take points off any little mistake. He doesnt let us use a graphing calculator on some tests. Took him for 0308 and 0310 Summer I and Summer II. Wish I could take him for College Algebra too, but he is only available during the day. He really cares about Math and it shows. He goes out of his way to make youtube tutorials, weekly quizzes and a lot of test reviews to help you be fully prepared for tests. I highly recommend Mr. Craig!

Professor Craig is a fair grader, and usually gives bonus points. I like that he shows us different ways to solve problems, and most of the time his is easier than the textbook way. I also like that though you do have to do A LOT of homework through mymathlab, there is a VERY nice incentive to stay on top of it. MUST DO HW TO PASS!

Professor Craig is hands down the best professor I've taken at LSC. If you show up to class, take notes, do your homework & have a good study plan for tests, you WILL pass this class. Has beautiful, aesthetically pleasing notes, a GREAT sense of humor & will remember you by name the second he meets you. I'm so glad I passed, but I would take again!

There is a lot of homework but your homework grade is an easy A if you do it. Mr Craig is very clear and thorough with his explanations, you get tons of practice in class and he is easily accessible outside of class. Ive never understood algebra until I took this class. Took Professor Craig for SS 1 and honestly he is not bad at all, he's funny which made the class much better since it is a math class, yes he can be rude at times but come on do not be a big baby and let your feelings affect your grade he has amazing notes and can actually teach math very well also is a fair grader. Got a C but did not study.

The best math professor ever. He will answer any questions you have and take as much time to explain them to you until you fully understand. Make sure you attend class! Professor Ryan is one of the best, though u have to keep up with the homework to get an A. i took him for late start session we had exam every other week and he gives u 3 chances to fix your grades for any exam u want except the final. He's really funny, you will enjoy the class. his lecture is really interesting and he knows what he's doing.

Professor Craig is an amazing teacher. I took him for 0314 and 1314 so it was very heavy on the home work, and home work is a must to pass his class. Log in daily. He gives awesome video lectures, does lives, and responds very quickly to emails. 1/2 word problems on a test. If you need math explain in detail and broken down I recommend his class!

I took Math 0314 & 1314. Professor Craig was awesome. He is clear with everything that is needed to pass this class. His videos are so detailed and show so many different variations of the problems. Math can be very difficult and he makes it easier to understand. Do the homework ; solve the problems the way he shows you and you will be fine!

Professor Craig is literally the best Math professor there is! I have always struggled with Math and put off graduating for 8 years because of College Algebra alone. He has amazing youtube videos, very clear and great notes on how to do the work, as well as will answer any questions you have. Homework & Tests are just like his videos. TAKE HIM!!!!

Prof. Craig is the only other math teacher I have ever found extremely clear and helpful. You may watch videos and your notes for your homework and for tests. He had weekly meetings for those who needed the extra help. College algebra had never been so easy with him! Do your homework in a timely manner & do not procrastinate (:

Took him for online regular session for College Algebra. Thank God I found him because he makes lessons simple, clear, and extremely easy to understand that it feels like elementary school (in a positive way). Not recommended if you want a strong foundation to continue math tho because he spoon feeds the notes to you. But he is caring and answers

I've always been bad at math, but this class was easy. Prof. Craig clearly cares about his students & wants you to do well. Although I never needed them, he held WebEx live sessions 2x a week & was quick to respond to emails. There's no quizzes, just 50 hws(using MML), 3 tests & a final. If you do the hws & watch the videos he makes it's an easy A.

Professor Craig is awesome! I took the full 4 month course and videos of each unit is uploaded every week. The videos are pretty straightforward, everything makes sense and is consistent with homework and tests. There are a total of 3 tests and a final , and the homework is not hard. He makes sure you make 100s on it. Overall, I passed with an A.

Lots of homework. He trys to be funny during lectures, but it seems like he's belittling people who aren't good at Math. He expects you to have some knowledge at college algebra no matter when the last time you took a Math class. Test are not multiple choice and are graded thoroughly. You MUST SHOW ALL YOUR WORK on test or points will be deducted.

Loved Professor Craig. Hes very professional. He has short and precise videos every day of the week for each topic in the course and is relevant to the homework. If you follow the process he uses to teach in the videos you are going to get an A. Also, I found the live sessions twice a week, very helpful. This is comin for a person scared of math!

Professor Craig is the best professor I have ever had, and his lectures are so explanatory that it makes the homework a piece of cake. The best part about his class is you can work on your own pace, he gives a month deadline to finish everything and its really good, also holds lives sessions 2 times a week for any questions.

You just have to do all the videos he posts with the given chapter to get an easy A, I got all A for my tests. You do have to buy MyMathLab which is great to practice.

Mr. Craig is a nice, funny and chill Professor. He does a great job at explaining difficult lessons. But for those looking to just pass, hes going to really make you work for it. If you dont use the methods he teaches you, he takes points off. If youre looking to just pass (like me) wouldnt recommend him.

I am not great at math, so I was very nervous about taking Professor Craig's class. However, he is great at walking through the steps of the problems to help anyone understand math! He explains quicker and better options to solve the problems, and provides a thorough understanding of why you're using the concept. So awesome, definitely enroll.

I took this class in a full semester. The class is loaded with homework you need to put time to the side to log in everyday! There is many quizzes, there was 3 test I accidently missed one. He was a tough grader in my opinion. I work really hard and kept thinking I was going to get a C, however I manage to do well in the last test and the final.

Prof. Craig is clear of his expectations at the very beginning, there is a lot of homework and lots of notes. The only problem I had is that ges a tough grader on notes and tests,but overall he explained everything and made math 10x easier and Id recommend him, and he gives extra credit at the end.

15 notes to turn in, homework assignments, 3 tests, and a final exam. Taking notes is mandatory because he wants you to do the work exactly how he has taught you, notes to be exactly like his as well. He gives an automatic 0 for cheating. He replies to you quickly and explains things in a simple manner. Stay on top of things.

Professor Craig had great videos for each topic. For tests and quizzes he was a hard grader, if you skipped a step but got the answer right he took many points off. If you didn't throughly explain each step for your problem you got it wrong. He has great videos and is a great teacher but a super HARD GRADER. Had to earn my A.

Professor Craig has awesome videos. Took his class over the summer. Did work on my math lab. Easy class, although you have to show each step you do on the test. Takes point off for not showing ALL the work.

TERRIBLE. AWFUL. HORRIBLE. His lectures are so long & he makes you take notes on everything. He is a super hard grader. He gave me -1 & -2 points on questions where I didn't "show every step" on things so basic such as "2+4." Honestly, this class isn't hard, but he makes it so hard and makes his class feel like a punishment to take.

Professor Craig is a really good college algebra teacher. From day one he lets you know what he expects in his class which is 15 weekly notes assignments, 3 tests ( questions ranging from 20-25) and 1 final exam. All his videos are very detailed, this is a professor who likes his job so it is easy to learn from him. Overall just take him!!!

Professor Craig is an AMAZING math teacher he's very passionate about math. He reminds me of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory he's so funny and sarcastic if you can't take a joke don't take his class. You have to do a bit of homework but it's easy I definitely recommend this class. If you do the homework and pay attention in class you'll pass.

College Algebra is not hard. However, he makes it very difficult, he takes away points for everything. He wants you to take a lot of NOTES, but his notes, not yours. You can have the right answer but if you didn't use the method that he wants he will not give you credit for it. His videos are good, you don't have an option for makeup work.

This man essentially gave a 35 on a test simply because I didn't "show enough work when for 90% of the questions I wrote so much I had to get a separate piece of paper I answered every question and out of 20 there were 2 that I genuinely got wrong, I would definitely not recommend this teacher especially if you're doing online

In all honesty, this professor made me depressed. I barely ate or did any other classwork. the homework he gives is on MyMathLab and it's okay but the TEST is something else. Yes, he is a tough grader. Don't take this class, you will regret. I really don't know how this professor got his degree as a Teacher. Worst Lonestar professor ever.

This professor does not explain well if you make mistakes. Just refers to youtube videos. He takes points off test and you have no clue why. Instead of explaining to the student where the mistake happened he gives general statements about mistakes. "Feedback" is not feedback. His sarcasm and "nonresponsiveness" through email is very unprofessional.

Mr. Craig was an absolutely hilarious teacher, he has so much character. He taught his math class very well providing extra review videos. He grades exams and quizzes by the amount of work shown taking off points with mistakes.

I had taken him for mini semester this past winter break. He was extremely difficulty I sent him emails and he was not helpful at. If you plan on taking him for a mini semester do not do it. He takes off points for minor details that are missed even if you get the answer correct he will count it wrong if you do not do it his way...

Good things about Mr. Craig: - He explained math really well. Feeling like an elementary kid when taking his class. - Homework is not really hard and doesn't take that much time to do. - He gave a lot of time to work on tests. Bad thing: - He is ridiculously tough on grading test. He will minus your point if you skip easy step like 3*5.

Professor Craig is a very difficult professor! I took this class for a mini session and would recommend taking a different professor or not doing the mini.Tests are hard, no multiple choice. He takes points off for the slightest reasons. Lots of homework and mandatory videos to watch. This is a very vigorous and tedious class!

pretty easy class. watch videos (posted on d2l) and take notes . turn in notes how he says and when he says (by Saturday or sunday). do mymathlab homework assignments before due date-just complete them when you finish watching the lessons videos/taking notes for better practice. take tests with time, study formulas and notes before taking them.

Still taking class. He grades tough. Takes off marks for slightest reasons and you cannot skip any steps. DO EXACTLY AS HE TOLD YOU or your grade drops. I told him Math is not my forte and I am actually afraid of it because once a math teacher hit me but he showed no sympathy. I was terrified before tests and before result was announced.

He teaches so well but grades so bad...!!!

took this class for fall semester be ready to use my math lab a lot for homework and youtube, also he is super picky about every little thing on your notes and test. if its not perfect or exactly as he wants it he will take off points for the smallest thing like not boxing the answer in, super unreasonable i would not take again

He's very good at teaching math. He clearly loves it and has the brain for it. However, he is paranoid that his students are cheating, thus creates difficult lectures, note taking, and tests designed to prevent it. This hurts students that actually want to learn but receive negative marks over not doing everything EXACTLY his way.

Do not recommend for trigonometry.

DO NOT TAKE HIM he refuses to help his students I had a work issue come up and couldnt complete a test and he didnt care I wasnt able to complete the class this resulted in an F. He is rude and he only cares about rules, not about his students succeeding. Probably the worst professor I have ever had. You'll also have to pay for MyMathLab. THE WORST

Took his three week maymester course. It's a homework heavy course but it's doable. I recommend doing the homework and if you don't understand how to solve the problem from the homework example then watch his videos.

Professor is not a bad teacher at all. Doesn't communicate what's so ever. Math is my best subject but with him it's the worse. Expect no replys or the professor understanding situations you can't control.

I've taken this course twice b/c I I received a B the first time around (my own doing). It was easy in person & online. You just need to do the work. There's lots of homework but it's useful. He jokes a bit which is refreshing. He also offers extra credit which can turn a B to an A easily. I recommend 20/10!

Took his summer 3 week College Algebra course Online, Lecture/Homework heavy. Tough grader. Provides notes and Youtube videos that you can use during exams. Very punctual with deadlines and expects you to show your work on the Exams. The homework No because its on MyMathLab. If your hesitant in taking him dont be.IF ur lazy stay away bc u will fail

professor Craig was genuinely the best professor I have had for math ever. he explains everything, in clear detail. it is a hybrid course and there is a lot of videos to take notes over, and the homework assignments are online, and you get multiple chances to complete them. he is very understanding and kind, he gives partial credit on tests

Mr. Craig is a really good professor. I took his Math 1314 class in fall of 2024 and while I started the class of rough, I was able to come back in the end by just really paying attention to lectures and taking notes from the homework. Overall, I would definitely take another math class with Mr. Craig.

Professor Craig is one of the best math instructors I've had. He's very understanding and organized. His online course has tons of helpful lecture videos and clear notes. The tests are straightforward everything he covers in the videos shows up on the exams. He also throws in a lot of dad jokes. Highly recommend taking him if you can!

Algebra can be solved using many different methods. I took this course right after high school and used the methods I had just learned in school algebra. He graded HW & Exams 1-4 fairly & I had an A before the final. On the final, he gave me a 0 and accused me of "cheating" for not using his methods, waiting until the very end, ruining my 4.0 GPA.
