Super nice guy who is really helpful and cool. The class is a blast and I've learned alot. He tells a ton of real life stories that keep it interesting. It's the only class I actually want to attend.

He is definitely become one of my favorite teachers. Really nice and easy going. Tells great stories that relate to the lesson. Test are easy. Homework is rare, yet also easy. He is always in a great mood and makes class really enjoyable. I 100% recommend taking any of his classes. The class itself is very interesting also.

Well the new semester started and I just remembered how much I miss Dr. Darrow. My profs this semester are completely lame. So, I just sit and daydream about being in his class. Totally cool and his tests are take home. He is what college is supposed to be.

I'm in this class right now and I love it. We watch alot of videos on Youtube and it helps to understand the experiments he talks about. He doesn't grade to hard and is really fair so far! He's also really funny. I just wish the girl next to me would shut up. He has to tell her to be quiet all the time. It is kind of funny though. Cool class.

First, I find it odd that I did not have a choice to abstain from the "hot or not" question. I'm a dude and I like chicks but am quite indifferent as to how Ryan looks. I find him neither attractive nor unattractive. With that said I have little room left to say that this was the coolest class I've ever had and dude was the best teacher ever.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones who got randomly put in his class because everyone else tried hard to get in. He fills up fast but it's evident why on the first day. Ryan was the best teacher I had this semester. There are only 4 open-book online tests and you have a whole week to complete them. Every single answer is on Quizlet. I did not even get a book for this class and I got 100s on every test. Attendance is not mandatory, but he makes class so interesting and entertaining that I always wanted to show up!

Human development with humor. Great class. Speaks highly of parenting and his wife which is rare. 4 online tests that you'll have to use your book on and a couple of written assignments. Great class.

Uses powerpoints and lectures with them, generally just a lecture based class but you don't have to take notes. All the powerpoints were online as well as the tests, there were 5 tests that were questions straight from the book as well as the tests being open book. There's one simple research paper and a project. Knows what he's talking about.

By far my favorite professor. He makes a boring topic interesting and is not afraid to use humor in his lectures. He loves diversity, which is very appreciated. He literally had less than 10 things in the gradebook, and if you turn everything in you should still get an A in the class. Would definitely recommend him to anybody interested in pscyh.

What a cool guy! Super funny and it's obvious he loves what he's talking about. There was a group project and a paper but he was a lenient grader with both. The tests were all online and I had plenty of time to take them when I was ready. Everyone in class loved him and the last day of the semester was actually really sad. Very genuine and caring.

Mr. Darrow's class was one of the easiest class that I've ever taken. To be honest, I had lots of absences and just literally submitted his assignment. As a result, I easily got A. I can tell his class is hilarious and he tried to teach the hard materials in easy ways to understand. However, personnally I didn't learn many things from his class.

A very good teacher, who brings in a lot of snakes into the classroom. He once brought in a snake, rat, and a cat in the classroom and the cat raced the snake to catch the rat. It was a very interesting class about the IQ of animals in comparison to humanity. It really provided a great meaning to life and the psychology of perception and humanity.

Ryan was an absolutely amazing professor. His lectures were always interesting and did a great job of involving people. Naturally he is a great people person and great communicator. This class was probably one of the easiest I've taken on campus here. All of his tests were online and the material was very easy if you listen during lecture!

I just finished his summer online class and compared notes with a friend. He had him on campus and said his experience was WAAAAY different. Apparently the online class totally harder than the regular one. There's a test for each chapter and two written assignments for each of the 4 sections. I took it in like 8 weeks. Prob easier over 16.

Probably a popular fave at JCCC. He's very libertarian, but also very open to class discussions and the opinions of others. At times, however, we would get off-topic in discussions and wish he reigned in the class a bit more, especially when it would turn into a more heated debate. The final is the easiest, honestly. Not deducted much for late hw!

Dr. Darrow is a very chill professor. He LOVES to talk and tell stories with the class, so every lecture is a good time. You really only need your textbook for exams and essays. He gives out helpful study materials and it is very easy to get a quick response to any questions. Awesome professor if you like discussions and interaction.

self-paced class. receive whole semester at beginning and can complete as quickly as you want. read chapter, take test up to 3 times, watch a couple of videos write a few responses, go onto the next chapter, repeat. You get what you put into it so if you are looking to learn take in person, easy a take this and do work. little to no interaction

Pretty easy class, 4 exams, 1 paper and a psych experiment. Not tough on grading and doesn't bore you with irrelevant information. Lectures were always super fun and interesting even at 8 AM. Applies psych to everyday life. Perfect intro to psychology class. Pretty cool dude, I recommended him to many of my friends. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Probably the chillest prof I have ever met. He is a big goofball and makes lectures always interesting. Does not care about attendance and doesn't give hardly any assignments. He did get off track with stories but it's an easy A, seriously. Take this class!!!

I laughed, I cried and I learned a ton. There are 4 closed book unit tests that you have to take in class and a couple of papers but the lectures are literally outstanding!!! He's an absolute riot but is serious as well. I'd take him for every class if I could.

First time taking this class, and I love it. I love the way he teaches, you need to tak his class. Cannot wait to take Human Development with him again. Come to class and you will learn a lot and have so much fun.

Professor Darrow is fantastic! I took his Intro to Psych class about a year and a half ago and Ive taken his Human Development class this semester and its been awesome. Ryan incorporates his own experiences as a psychologist into his lectures, which makes the topics a lot more interesting. Definitely one of my favorite teachers!

The online class is not difficult. Four quizzes that you can retake and two writing assignments due each month. Grades really easy just make sure you read the rubric and make sure they are in on time. Overall, not a stressful class.

Mr. Ryan is so generous and funny. He makes going to class so fun as soon as you get there. He makes you wanna come back, and enjoy it every time. He is joyful and energetic and excited to be teaching about what he loves to do.

I personally took Professor Darrow online for his psychology class. The class was simple for being online. 3-4 chapter quizzes and 2 small writing assignments for each unit. Super interesting topics and I actually loved his writing assignments even though I hate writing. He is an easy grader as long as read exactly what the rubric or directions say

Such an awesome teacher. I cannot recommend Dr. Darrow enough. I took his class in high school for college credit and I absolutely loved it. It was one of the last times I can truly remember being EXCITED to go to a class. Sad that it got cut short because of COVID because I really enjoyed it that much. Enjoy your time with him.

Professor Darrow was great. For us, our grade was based on 4 chapter tests, notes on every chapter, one research paper and a psychology experiment. It really sounds worse than it is. Hes very lenient if he sees youre working hard. Hes very nice in person and he also does a very good job at explaining all the concepts in an entertaining way.

The tests are take-home, open book, and you're basically guaranteed to get an A for submitting everything else. His lectures are very interesting, and he is a good person to the core. He was a great professor, the only problem I noticed was unclarity on homework/tests/assignments he would give online. He hardly mentioned it in class but if it was late, he would not count off points, very easy class and it was fun! Tests are done at home. All you have to do is take notes in class and he will give you credit.

The only graded assignments outside of the intro-to-online-class activities were 8 papers. I barely had to read the textbook, which I just borrowed at the school library occasionally (available 2 hours at a time--can't take it out of the library). The writing prompts were varied, interesting, and not too difficult. He responded quickly via email.
