Yes, he's an extremely hard grader, but he wants to push you in order for you to succeed. If you do what he asks, he takes notice and will give credit accordingly. It's good to be pushed once and a while, and I definitely became a better public speaker. If you want an easy grade, don't take him. If you want to be pushed to do well, take him!

Yes, he is a hard professor. He has high expectations, but he rewards hard work and I really did grow so much from the class. He has good intentions and everybody's best interest but the class will push you. I take that as a great thing because I feel that there was long-term benefit behind taking this class. Overall, I recommend for sure!

I took Mr. G's COMM 1313 class recently and it was a cake walk. There are 3 thing you have to do in his class: take quizzes, give speeches, watch speeches. His grading is extremely generous and he even offers extra credit throughout the semester. Show up to class for free points. Mr. G is very nice guy. You won't be sorry you took his class.

Mr. G works with you if you are out of town or have a University conflict. He really looks out for his students. When writing speeches, try to almost copy his outline with your own topic. You will get more points that way.

Mr. G was so understanding about any issues that popped up during the semester. He is so easy to work with and genuinely just wants you to learn. He doesn't let you completely blow off the class but you definitely don't have to strain yourself on material.

Attendance isn't mandatory, but there's usually a reading quiz which can add up if you miss a few. He's a nice guy and works with you to make sure you're prepared, if you have to take public speaking I would take him!!!

Mr. G is a wonderful person and professor. Public Speaking is something that makes many business students leave the program, and he doesn't make it easy. That being said, he does make it fun and YOU can make it easy, provided you participate in class, pay attention to feedback, and see him during office hours if you're struggling.

Don't be scared off by any of the comments you read here. Mr. G. is incredibly kind and caring and you will not have any problems obtaining the grade you need/want in the course. Their are no exams, just a few easy quizzes, and you just have to show up on speech day and give him something - that's it. Plus he brings treats on speech days!

I had a blast in this class! I have no idea what the comments about this being a difficult class are about, I didn't have any issues at all. Mr. G. was very caring and had a great sense of humor that made the class fun. The workload was light which was great because it gave me the chance to focus more on my other more difficult classes. Super easy class and you'll actually learn a few things too. I was terrified of public speaking but Mr. G. put all those fears to rest and helped me build my confidence as a speaker. I took this class over the summer and online which I believe was his first time teach online. The class was made graded on a journal, sharing ideas, quiz's and a final. The final was weighted pretty heavy. The professor comes off ass helpful. I feel it is a step up from easy but doable.

This dude rocks. I had the opportunity to take him during the COVID-19 Semester. So I have had him as both an in-person lecturer and online lecturer. This man gives so much grace to his students. If you don't get the grade you want, you really should not be in college. As an engineer, his class is very nice and refreshing.

I took COMM1233 and it was unexpectedly one of my favorite classes ever. Mr G is super knowledgable about the class and makes his lectures very interesting. I took Mr. G during the COVID-19 mess and he handled things incredibly. He likes to communicate with students. Talk to him and send him emails! The class is easy. You dont need to have the book, but go to class. The tests are worth a lot, but youll pass if you pay attention. I really enjoyed this class and will take Mr. G again in the future

MR G is AMAZING and I recommend him highly for anyone needing to take a Humanities core class. He has a dry sense of humor, which I loved. When we moved to online format for the rest of the semester, his lectures were super detailed and you could tell that he really cared about students doing well during this strange time.

I absolutely loved Mr. G, 10/10 would take his class again. I hate public speaking but he made it bearable, he wasn't a super hard grader and is super understanding of any personal issues you may have. If you have the chance to take him, do it.

You only have to do a couple things in this class to make an A. Show up, take quizzes, give speeches, and watch speeches. We are online this semester due to COVID and he has been the best at adapting compared to other teachers. By far the best at reaching out and building relationships amid a pandemic. Great professor. Very clear on grading policies, due dates, and gives reminders of upcoming assignments frequently. Weekly lectures and quizzes, with occasional assignments and discussions, but all pretty simple. Exams are straight from the lectures. Easy A as long as you take notes during lectures and study a bit before exams.

Attendance was optional this semester (COVID) but you must attend every lecture because he does not post slides or lecture content online. Tests, quizzes, and assignments are very straight forward and incredibly easy to complete if you take good notes. Smart and funny guy, I would definitely take another class of his in the future!

Ryan Gliszinski Is one of the best professors I have ever had. The material is actually interesting and applicable if you actually listen. He is a very relaxed guy who gives you time to take notes, which are short and to the point. A very cool guy, who is knowledgeable about a lot which makes lectures very entertaining. I Enjoy going to his class.

Biggest thing about this professor is his strict policy on phones but honestly it has been helpful to not be distracted and helps me soak in the information. The tests come straight from the lectures. Very straightforward and easy tests if you just pay attention in class. I would take it again.

Mr. G was extremely caring and willing to help if you ever need anything. Although I did not enjoy his notebook-only note-taking policy, he is an extremely fair grader and cares about what he is teaching. His lectures include videos and interesting pictures which make the class more enjoyable.

As long as you go to class and pay attention during lectures its hard not to do well in this class. He has a few worksheets or weekly "reading quiz's" which take less that 2 min max. Great teacher willing to work with you on any issues you may have.

Mr. G is a good professor. His content is pretty easy to understand but his test are very hard. Though there are other opportunities for points; Writing assignments, Weekly quiz's, and occasionally extra credit.

Mr. G is probably the best professor I have ever had. The way he structures his class really sets him apart from anyone else. All of his lecture slides are very structured and organized. It's easy to write down everything and he teaches at a perfect pace for students to understand. He prepares everyone for his exams and they are very fair.

There are attendance points and weekly open-note lecture quizzes, but they are very easy. There are also a few exams, but Mr G makes it clear what will be on them. Great professor! Lectures were very interesting and I enjoyed them. There are weekly lecture quizzes so it is helpful to attend class everyday, but they are very easy. There are also worksheets about every other week but also easy. This class is the perfect balance between easy and critical thinking. Overall, loved this professor and this class.

Mr. G was awesome, I learned a lot of cool things about the world in this course. Try not to miss class because he takes attendance, the lectures may be a little slow but if you go and take notes it makes the tests very easy.

Mr. G is fantastic. He is very professional and informative and definitely knows what he's talking about. Just show up to class and you'll be just fine. The only grades are weekly quizzes, a handful of homework assignments, tests, and attendance. Take his classes!

Mr. G (what he tells you to call him from day one) is an amazing professor. I took this class to fill my schedule with an easy 3 hour and I got just that. Personally have spent about 2 hours studying for the entirety of the semester. However, this class is not boring. It teaches important/useful information in navigating the tech/media we use daily

Mr. G is a great professor! I took this class for my minor but actually ended up really enjoying it. The lectures can get a little repetitive, but some of the content is actually really interesting. Mr. G is a very kind person and you can tell he is passionate about what he teaches on. Very understanding and willing to help you in any way he can!

Mr. G is a great professor who is super easy to contact outside of class. He responds to emails very quickly and is understanding if you submit assignments late. His classes are lecture heavy and require a lot of note taking, but he makes the lecture interesting and engaging. He also usually lets class out 10 minutes early. Definitely take him.

Mr.G is a good professor and takes time to make sure his lectures are efficient. The information itself is interesting most of the time. The only downsides to the course are that sometimes the lectures are kind of boring and he takes attendance every day so missing classes can really add up, and the exams are more difficult than expected.

One of the kindest professors on campus. Great clear slides for lectures, and always gives out extra credit. He is very understanding with absences, but still try to make every class. If you go, you will hands down get an A in this class.

Homework: EASY worksheets almost every week that take a couple minutes to do. Exams: Very easy if you go to lectures, just asks about definitions that were covered during class, review lectures before exams. This is a pen and paper only class, meaning you can't take notes on your computer, but he goes slow enough to make it easy to stay caught up.

Exams are proctored but are not hard, all of the information comes from his lectures and notes that you take. He gives extra credit, and the information in class is interesting.

FANTASTIC lecturer!! He makes his lectures actually entertaining, which is great because it's a lecture-based class. You have to go to class to get the notes, he doesn't post the slides. Mr. G was such an amazing professor. It is truly so hard to find college professors that genuinely care about their students. Attendance was mandatory when I took it but he is so accommodating and understanding if you need to miss!

Mr. G is a fantastic professor, I wish he could teach all of my classes. I love his teaching style, he requires only handwritten notes which I actually ended up liking, helped me to focus in class. His PowerPoint are easy to understand and he takes his time explaining everything on the slides. Would recommend taking this class!

Mr. G is a amazing professor. his lectures are engaging and to the point with very little extra information that we are not tested on. His slides are a great outline for notes and he hints at what will be on quizzes and tests. His tests are straightforward and are not meant to be tricky. There was a multitude of bonus opprotunities.

This class isn't too hard, but it's more challenging than reviews suggest, mainly due to comprehensive Midterm and Final exams. Attend class and take notes for exam success. Grading includes weekly homework, quizzes, reflections, and exams. NOTE - to ensure a B - go to class take notes and use those notes to take the weekly quizzes and homework.

Mr G is the GOAT. Literally love his class and his teaching style a bunch. We use pen and paper to write, and it actually so helpful to pay attention in class and remember the notes I took. Such a great teacher who cares for his students. Easy class with a couple of worksheets, weekly quizzes, and 2 exams. Easy elective and a great teacher. 10/10.

Mr. G is a super chill prof. He makes his class as enjoyable as he can make it. If you want a somewhat easy class to earn you some credits definitely consider his comm classes! All you need to do is show up, take notes and you will be set. Not difficult whatsoever. Weekly quizzes are used to track your attendance, still so easy.

Great professor I actually enjoyed the content as well as the way he lectures. You do have to show up to class although attendance is not mandatory ALL questions for lecture quizzes AND tests come from the notes. His lectures are not difficult maybe a page or a page and 1/2 per class. Super easy A if you go to class and take notes.

Ryan Gliszinski is an amazing professor. I signed up for this humanities class just based off the reviews on here. I took this class online & actually really enjoyed it. Mr. G really cares about his students and wants them to do well. He even lets you take the tests using your hand-written notes. Interesting class and easy A if you do the work!

Professor Gliszinski is very kind, and provides all the resources to be successful. Attendance is not graded, but he does take attendance, and don't go looking for extra credit if you have never attended class. His tests and quizzes are very simple, and he provides a test review with each topic so you know what to study for.

This class was very interesting and eye opening! Doesn't post lecture slides so you have to attend class, but the slides are very clear and organized. The exams are fairly easy and very similar to the lectures. There's a lot of open note quizzes, but they're easy and short. The professor is caring and funny. I would definitely recommend this class!

Mr. G is a great Professor that really cares about the class and what he is teaching, if you go to class and pay attention you will have zero issue getting an A on this course. He is very approachable and easy to get in contact with, also just a nice dude who really cares about his students.

He was amazing at how he taught the material and was really relatable. You have to go to every class and take handwritten notes or you will miss the material, but other than that you'll pass just by going to class and paying attention. There was 1 small quiz due every week, 1 homework every other week, and 2 tests.

Attendence is not mandatory but there is a sign in sheet and he doesnt post the lecture slides. every week there is a lecture quiz that is open browser and timed. The exams are lockdown brosee but he reviews in advance. I recommend going to class because the notes that you will take will help you study for the exam and the lecture quiz.

Super nice guy and easy class. He always makes sure everyone is done taking notes before changing slides. Super chill and open to discussions about related topics during class. Only 1 assignment a week, two exams. Attendance is a must to get good notes, but all of the assignments are directly from the notes. No electronics during class.

This is a great class! Professor G is a nice guy who cares about his students as well as the material in class. There are only 2 exams all year, and he gives clear study guides for them. Class isn't mandatory, but you must go to receive the notes as he doesn't post them on Blackboard. There are numerous bonus opportunities as well. TAKE HIM!

His class is super easy, and the slides are really clear to go by. You do have to go to class for the notes because he doesn't post them in blackboard. He doesn't take attendance points but makes you sign in for class? Doesn't make sense to me but overall good class and easy prof. class will get boring sometimes fyi so be aware of that.

Professor Gliszinski is the best. I learned so much applicable content to real life in this class. Genuinely the best Gen Ed you could take if you want to learn something useful while not losing attendance points for missing class. I recommend going to class though because everything you learn is great!

Mr. G is an amazing instructor. I gave him a 1.0 in difficulty not because the course is a gimmee, because it is not. I gave the difficulty 1.0 because if you do the work, you will have success. He is an instructor that truly cares about his students. He cares about their success not only in his class, but in life. Take any of his courses.

You need to go to class to get the notes for the weekly quizzes. There are also a few assignments every now and then. He gives you everything you need to succeed in this class and an outline for the final and midterm which has everything that will be on it. Best teacher and had really entertaining lectures!!

Mr. G is awesome! He is incredibly understanding and is passionate about the subject and also about his students learning and overall well being. I found his class so interesting and really enjoyed taking it. When I hit a rough patch mentally mid semester he was understanding and helped me get on track once I showed that I was willing to work hard.

Amazing professor and super easy class!

All lecture for the most part with a couple of tests and "worksheets" which are mini-quizzes. Not hard if you go to class, which I didn't do a good job of, hence the B. Really nice guy and very accessible outside of class. If you show up, the rest will solve itself.

Mr. G has probably been my favorite professor in my academic career so far. Not only is he very caring and understanding, but he makes learning fun and for someone with ADHD; which is very hard for me to find in a professor/lecture. I completely recommend taking him! Attendance isn't mandatory but make sure to get notes from a peer when absent.

I love this man. Attendance is not mandatory, and he makes it easy for you to catch up when test time rolls around. He doesn't allow devices technically but isn't too strict on it. Does make you hand write notes though. Tests are proctored online, but not too difficult!

His class is very easy if you just show up and take notes. He doesn't make attendance required, but I highly encourage it because the class is so fun.

Gliszinski is a good professor who has very engaging lectures. Attendance is tracked, but not mandatory. He tries to make content relatable and funny, but it turns out pretty boring. There are lots of documentaries in class and they are horrible. Your grade basically relies on the midterm and the final, but he posts study guides well in advance.

Very good professor who understands that this is a 1000 level course. The tests are easy if you listen to lectures and take notes. There's some homework but everything is very easy. He only allows paper notes tho, but he records his lectures so if you miss something you can watch those.
