This was my first time taking an online class - if all professors could be like him, college would be such an amazing experience! He answers emails promptly, is very apathetic to students, seems to genuinely CARE and gives great feedback on assignments - which is helpful in an online Bio class! Can't say enough good things :)

I have always been horrible in Science classes, so I was really unsure about taking a 4-unit biology class in 8-weeks. Professor Henderson is awesome! You will get the grade that you put into it. If you want an "A" and put in the work you'll get the "A". Same with a "B", and every other grade. He's a very fair teacher, and I would recommend him.

He was very thorough and helpful. He gave individual feedback on all assignments. He had personality, and it made it more interesting than boring lecture teachers. His assignments were funner than I expected. The tests are more difficult but he gives you 3 chances. Also, he does provide opportunities for extra credit. I would recommend him!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Henerson is a really good teacher. There is a lot of reading in this class but the tests are reasonable. It is a fast class so make sure you print out the calender he provides you so you wont miss and assignment. I really enjoyed this class!!

When I first started this class I was very nervous with it being a very fast paced eight week course, Mr. Henderson has done an excellent job with the way he has put this course together. The work is rather easy if you do your part and read the chapters. I would highly recommend this class!! Great job Mr. Henderson! =)

You will not regret taking Mr. Henderson! His 4 unit, fast paced Bio class, is so interesting and fun that it's over before you know it. I was never interested in science until this class...I am extremely surprised with how much I've learned. Print the assignment calendar and keep up with the work and receive an A! Couple dissections too!

There was a lot of work (not hard work), because the class was short-term, but if you keep to the schedule and keep up with the assignments you will do fine. Prof. Henderson made it easy to ask questions and there were a few times where we emailed back in forth for a few hours because I was having trouble on a unit. He's extremely helpful.

I took the short-term online biology course, which sounds tough going in. But he gives you a manageable workload and very clear directions which made it much easier to handle. As long as you put in the effort and watch the due dates, you'll do very well in his course. Also, his weekly discussions actually involve INTERESTING topics. A first for me!

Ryan's class was a really good one. He had a clear syllabus that he stuck to, got grades posted quickly, offered helpful videos for the labs, gave a variety of resources and kept the class informed of upcoming assignments. Each assignment given had a quick blurb detailing what we would be doing along with the due date. I would recommend the class.

Awesome professor! He responds quickly to email and to any questions you have. This was an 8 week class, so it was a lot of reading, 2 exams a week, 2 labs a week, and a discussion a week, but he spreads them out fair enough for you to get the work done in time. One of my favorite professors. I've taken his Bio 134 and Bio 115 classes online and they were both enjoyable. The ease of assignments can range, but if you do the reading, it's an easy A. He's quick to answer emails/questions and grades assignments within 3 days of it being turned in so you always know your grade. 10/10, would take again.

This class wasn't easy, to be honest. It isn't so much his workload; I appreciated the fact that every day had a set assignment due. It made things easy to follow. As someone who went into this class only because I had a personal affinity for the Punnett square, by the end of it, everything about genetics seemed far more approachable. It was largely due to Professor Henderson's helpful feedback and encouragement. In a class that easily could have been difficult, it was Professor Henderson who made it fun.

I was hesitant to take an Bio online. I don't like online classes though professor Henderson made it easy. He provides an syllables with everything all the assignments, labs, discussions, and test beforehand. He care about his students if you email him any question or concern on the material he will get to you asap. The class does require reading.

Class was very interesting and informative. The online course was well organized and easy to follow. Work was manageable.

His class was the one class everyone I know told me not to take simply because it is biology. But I chose not to listen and it was the greatest choice I've done this semester. Time is manageable and I know everyone has at least 2 hours a day to do homework, and I would consider that that's how much time he needs of your eachday to complete thework.

Taking Professor Henderson's class was a great experience. He is strict with making sure assignments are done on time, but is very understanding if an emergency occurs. His class was well structured, and easy to follow. He is easily approachable if you have any questions, and can easily be reached. Effort goes a long way. I enjoyed his course.

Very good instructor. I used RMP to find him in the first place and I am glad I trusted reviews. His tests are multiple choice and free response. It was intimidating at first but he has these chapter reviews that he requires you to do that prepares you for the test. I received an A in the class. I thought the pace was manageable.

Professor Henderson, is an excellent teacher you will learn many biology concepts. As a teacher, he is quick to respond to emails, and keeps the line communication open for students. However, if you wish to do well in the class you must actually read the book, and understand the concepts. For many of the test questions, are based on the textbook.

Great Professor! I took this as an eighth week course and while there was a good amount of work it was still manageable. As far as grading goes he looked for very specific answers that showed a good understanding so as long as your very detailed on the tests and homework you should be good.

We were given reminders several weeks beforehand of the workload we would receive in later weeks. Must have great self discipline in order to get that A. Readings are extremely interesting as well as the discussions. I would take this professor again if i could in a heart beat. Extremely understanding, considerate, and chooses interesting topics every week. Assignments are never a drag. You'll have so much fun without realizing it sometimes!

I took his 8-week online BIO 134 course at MSJC and I enjoyed the course. It isn't necessarily difficult to get a good grade in his class but you have to work for it. I had weekly exams and weekly homework but it didn't feel like too much. He seems like he cares because he leaves thoughtful comments on your HW and I appreciated that as a student.

I wish I was able to take his class the first time around. He is very helpful and very friendly. Discussion boards are an actual discussion that make you think. For an 8 week class I expected to be drowning in work, in this class, you won't. It's not too much or too little, you can also start assignments 2 weeks before, if you like to start early.

My favorite professor. Assigns extremely interesting discussion boards that really make you think and apply your new knowledge to everyday life. Bio 134 is perfect for someone who needs to fulfill a bio science requirement but is not really interested in pursuing a degree or career in the field. Took BIOL-134 online and enjoyed it. Professor gives good feedback on all assignments submitted. Tests are a mix of multiple choice and short answer. Homework assignments are also short answer, so be prepared to read the textbook, otherwise you might have a difficult time. Not a difficult course if you take the time to put in the work.

For this course the intention was to get an EASY A. There was not a lot of homework and even missing an assignment completely, I still got an A. There are hardly any assignments for the week and even short term, the work is not difficult. There were 3 assignments per week and everything was available early for those who do not want to procrastinate

Mr. Henderson clearly states what he wants in the assignments and the grading criteria. He provides extra supplemental material to help you along with your assignments and exams. I took the short term 8 week class online. Must read the book. Prof. Henderson did a good job of fitting in the material of a semester into 8 weeks online. There were three to four assignments per week, along with some extra credit. He is very willing to reciprocate and give extra supplemental materials if you need help.

I actually learned a lot in this class and enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I've never learned that much from an online class. He doesn't make you weed through useless text from the book, either. The only reason I didn't get an A is because my baby boy had a terrible few months. 10/10 would re-take if possible in the future.

This professor was great purely based on how he is with his students. Although I took his online course and never had to email him, he gives you updates each week and talks as though he's a regular person and not an uppity professor. He was really nice and you could tell that he watned his students to get to know him and vice versa even if it was an online class. He is really easy to contact and is genuinely a good professor. His work is not hard at all as long as you go through the chapters. I would definitely have him as a professor again.

All his material is clear and concise and easy to understand and he is always available outside of class hours. The class is structured differently from most classes where instead of a midterm and final, you are given eight exams throughout the quarter, but movie assignments and discussions are mixed in. If you do the reading, you will do very well. By structuring the class this way, it gave a fluid way of learning!

He does not allow late assignments, so if thats something you need leniency on then dont take him. That being said the homework isnt bad as long as you take notes & read through the book it should be easy.

Great Professor, the class isn't too hard as long as you stay disciplined and pay attention. Class is structured well straightforward, no late work but assignments are usually due at the end of the week. As long as you show up you'll get a good grade.

Best professor for microbiology! At first, I was intimidated by his strict no late policy, but he gives assignments & homework in advance. It is easy to get an A. He literally tells you the answers for the test. DO NOT USE CHATGPT! He knows your writing style. He worked with me one-on-one when I was overwhelmed. He truly cares which makes him good!

Professor Henderson was great at teaching Microbiology, every lecture was very detailed and easy to digest. Participation in the class is a must if not you will become behind very quickly but just watch the lectures and take notes and you'll be good. Very cool guy and is one my favorite professors ever

This has been one of my favorite classes. He does require us to put effort into his assignments, but he himself puts alot of effort into the course. Everything is online and you can work ahead. He does not allow late work, but you shouldn't need to turn in anything late. His feedback throughout the course helps keep you motivates. Highly recommend.

Professor Henderson is a wonderful teacher! He really does care about his students. Is this a super easy class? No, but it's not hard if you're willing to put in the work. There's even opportunity for extra credit. I definitely would take this professor again.

Not only is the professor passionate about what he is teaching, which makes students more interested in learning, but he also really cares about the students success. If he sees low test scores, he does his best to help students for the next test! Communicating is great as he replies quickly and to every question. He grades so fast!

Microbiology with Professor Henderson was an awesome class. I wouldn't say I'm a school person and I managed to get a 95%. The material can be challenging and complex but he breaks it down in a way you can understand. As long as you show effort and do your assignments you will be good! His labs are well structured and he goes into depth, make sure you do your pre-labs before going into class so you don't feel lost! I was very terrified of this class especially as a Nursing student, but this professor took all the stress away. His class is set up very well and is designed for you to succeed. I wasn't looking forward to this class before taking it, but Professor Henderson was one of the best professors I have had. His course is clear from the first day of the semester to the last and the work load isn't overwhelming. As long as you show up and put in effort you will do good on the course.

Professor Henderson is definitely one of the best professors at MSJC. He gives study guides for each exam, and his lectures are recorded so you can go back and re-watch. For this reason, the course is easy as long as you complete the study guides and study them before each exam. He is very eager to teach and promotes open discussions about science.

Hands down the best professor I've had through out college so far. Professor Ryan explains everything so well and makes sure if anyone is confused on any topic, he will go back and explain it again. Great class and no one better to take it with. Professor Henderson makes microbiology fun and not difficult to learn, his teaching method is great. I was scared to take this class in the beginning. Not one tear shed! because I did not feel stressed whatsoever in this class, I took it with anatomy 2 as well! Would definitely take again 100%!

This has been one of the most well-structered and organized online courses I have taken. The professor is always available to meet through via email or through zoom meetings, so even though the course work can be heavy it is easy to understand and follow along if you put in the work and ask for help from the professor when needed on coursework.
