Honestly, I can say that Mr. Ryan is a alright with me. He takes psychology extremely serious. He's very fair and will help his students if he can. He teach everything that is on his test. So pay attention to his lectures. Overall he is fair. So if you are serious you will make a A in this class most definitely.
Mr. Keith was great! As long as you show up to class and take notes, you are sure to be successful! He is very clear about what he expects and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy his class. He is also cute as a button. Take him because you will truly learn a lot.
Ryan Keith is such a great instructor!!! He tells you everything you need to know for your test and they are all open book. Just show up to class and take notes because they will help on your test. He is also really good looking and dresses great so he's nice to look at while you are in class.
Wonderful, great, nice and excellent teacher!
Awesome Professor! Highly recommend. I was skeptical on taking the class, but did Keith change my view. He has a great way of teaching and you love to learn in that class. His tests are hard but super easy if you take notes on his lectures and come to class. A+ quality professor. TAKE HIM!
Truly the best professor overall I've ever had. He is very clear about what is required of you to ace the course and its really not that much work outside of attending class. He makes even the boring topics easy to get through. I definitely recommend!
Ryan was great! He wants his students to be successful and is passionate about psychology. I highly recommend him!
He is an excellent teacher. Fun, knowledgeable and clear. His lectures and slides are polished and well prepared. His assignments range from engaging, to downright fun. He is also very personable and goes out his way to help struggling students. This was a class I hated to miss!
One of the best classes I've taken. Not an easy A,but easily attainable He does a great job at engaging the class and getting you to think and analyze what your learning. I enjoyed being there so much, that I would frequently loose track of time and was kinda bummed when class was over. And to think, I almost dropped the class. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!
Mr. Keith is one of the most amazing professors I have had thus far. He definitely helps clarify any information you may be having a difficult time with. His lectures are extremely interesting and engaging, and he definitely knows and is passionate about the material. The class of course requires much reading, but Mr. Keith is a great professor!
First semester in college and couldn't have chosen a better professor! Professor Keith is super sweet and so helpful (also cute)! Quizzes online every sunday, online assignments, tests open book. Not an "easy A" but you should NOT fail this class. Read the book and take notes, pay attention to his lectures and you'll do great! Definitely cares tons
Professor Keith was one of the best professors I have had in a while. His lectures are funfunny and full of material. THE BOOK IS 100% NECESSARY! Lots of reading is required. He does not take attendance, Class consists of 3 tests, and 1 online exercise (2-3 paragraph responses to articles he provides) and 1 quiz for each chapter per week.
He is very nice and very willing to help with anything you need during his office hours. He usually takes 48 hours to respond to emails though. He does extra credit sometimes before exams. He made little things that usually would not be interesting sound interesting during his lectures. Excellent Professor.
nice guy
Great teacher. I would highly recommend him! His tests can be hard, but they're open notes! He also gives online quizzes weekly, but they're only 10 questions.
Awesome professor. Although he is a tough grader with test I really enjoyed his class. Lectures are fun and hes is very classy to say the least. Get book and read. Quiz every week. Test openbook and notes. Papers are easy.
Professor Keith is cool. However, the amount of reading required in this class to receive a good grade is not. He gives a quiz on each chapter before you go over it in class. But what it all boils down to is how fast you can flip through the textbook during the exams. Go to class because he asks a bunch of Qs that can only be answered if you do.
This Guy is amazing. One of the best professor's I've ever had in college. His lectures are organized and in depth. I wish all of my professors were as on point as he is. Seriously, if I was undeclared his class would have made me a Psych Major. He has such a great understanding of how to convey teaching lessons. Not an easy A, but very obtainable
Professor Keith is a great professor. He has passion for what he teaches and he's passionate about sharing his knowledge with his students.
I have no complaints. I really wish all of my other courses were like his class. This is my first year of college, and Professor Keith has given me hope that there ARE 5 star professors out there! Love that he gives commentsfeedback on assignments! 1 discussion post per week, 3 exams, a couple essay type exercises. Easy A for a devoted student.
Rayn is great I thought i was going to do really bad in this class but he makes sure that you understand the material. His test are open book and open note. I would Take him again.
This guy is the best professor I've come across so far in college. Awesome course, interesting topics, and no brainwashing! He is clear, concise, and willing to help and clarify any questions --though you probably won't have any. Super easy and enjoyable. ENROLL!
this is the first time i've ever rated a professor and its because this guy is the best. I'm taking his class right and his materials are very helpful. it is the first time that i am taking a class where i am learning easily. all of his materials will help you on the exams.
Ryan is an awesome teacher! His tests consists of the reading and lecture, but they are open note. He drops your lowest test grade. He's very passionate about what he teaches and wants you to understand the material. He's funny and incorporates that into his lectures as examples. Take this class. You don't even have to show up, but it helps. :)
This was an amazing class with a amazing teacher. He is probably one of the best prof. at SFCC. I loved this class. If you do not understand the reading material he will help you understand it during his office hours. He is fun and makes learning decv. psychology fun and easy.
Great at keeping your attention and you always are learning something new and unexpected. Always excited to come to his class.
Great class and great professor. Not hard but not an easy A. I strongly recommend this class.
He's a good dude. Weekly textbook reading quizzes and class discussion OR exercise assignments. There are 4 exams. Read the book and you will pass the class. It fairly easy. If you need help, he will be there. If you e-mail him, it'll take around 2-4 days. He usually respond on a Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. He also gives one extra credit.
I took this class because I had to, but it became my favorite class. It's easy, but you have to work at it. Theirs weekly readings along with quizzes and other assignments but they aren't difficult just time consuming.
Professor Keith is one of the best professors I've ever had! He knows his stuff and makes his lectures fun and interesting. Doesn't grade on attendance but quizzes are mostly based on lectures, so go to class! Not going to lie, you have to work for a good grade. Lots of online work, 3 exams and the final. Drops lowest exam grade. Take his class!
TAKE THIS CLASS! He was a GREAT professor. His assignments were really easy, but a little time consuming. He made class really interesting, and he really knows what he's teaching. The only thing I didn't like about his class were his tests. They were open notes/book, but still pretty hard.
Had Ryan Keith for Developmental Psychology. He made the class fun and interesting and you could tell that he enjoyed teaching it. He was always happy to answer questions and he gave good feedback on all papers and unit exercises. He was a fair grader and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs Dev. Psych.
He is by far the best Pysch teacher at Santa Fe. I've taken two of his classes and would take more if i could. He's passionate about what he teaches, and makes sure you understand. You wouldn't want to miss his amazing lectures, and test are open book. Test are straight from the lecture, so never any surprises.
Quizzes are straight from the book, and Unit Exercises are time consuming but not difficult. Tests are difficult, mainly from lecture, but open book/open note. Interesting lectures, he obviously enjoys teaching the material. The only thing I did not like was that he would call on you randomly. I would definitely recommend him though.
The class isn't mandatory but I never skipped one because I really enjoyed his lectures. One of the funniest/coolest professors I've ever had. Exams are tough but he drops your lowest grade. Would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Keith is a very cool dude, he makes his class interesting and gets invested in his students. There is extra credit, a quiz each week, and about 4 tests I believe. You have to be prepared for anything on the tests and take great notes, you'll love his class in no time. Do not be afraid to ask him for help either.
Expect a lot of corny jokes
I walked into this class thinking it would be super easy, but I was wrong. It takes some effort if you want the A, but Professor Keith is super helpful and his lectures are entertaining. You have to read the chapters each week which are pretty long but it helps with his tests anyways.
He explains the material pretty well and answers questions you may have in regards to material. Reading is a must! The readings were not long but they were essential for the weekly quizzes. Tests are open notes but you don't have time to look for every single answer. Just read and study and you should be fine. He's also pretty easy on the eyes.
He is a nice and friendly guy, he is there for you if you need any help and his office is always open. He is a tough grader and test are are a little difficult but they arent impossible. Lowest test grade drops and quizzes. I got 2 Ds and one C on my tests but i worked hard on my other assignments like my article review so i can past with a C.
Must read chapters during the week in order to pass, as well as being present for lectures. Drops the lowest grades for each section; overall not that hard to pass the class. TAKE NOTES. All exams are open note and open book.
LOTS OF READING! At Least 45 pages a week. Drops the lowest grades for each section; But those quizzes are no joke. I love him but he honestly doesn't go over everything on that will be on the quiz in class which makes it really difficult when taking it. TAKE NOTES but even that wont help with quizzes. All exams are open note.
This class was extremely unpleasant. I hated the textbook that he used. I have taken other psychology courses and have had A's and this class I barely scraped by with a B. I felt like I was going to fail the course most of the way through. I don't feel like I learned anything. I was left having to correct him about errors in the quizzes.
DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE IN A MINI-MESTER! There is LOTS of reading each week. The quizzes are fairly easy, but tests are pretty difficult. If you want an A in this class, you will need to really work hard for it! His lectures are great. You will learn a lot in this class, just be ready to read.
One of the best classes/professors I've ever had at Santa Fe. He cares about his students and subject of Psych. He provides Ch. Notes for the text book and puts content into a real world perspective. I would recommend him to everyone.
Do not take this class in a mini-semester! If you have to take it either just pick a course that you don't have to work for it or just take this course. He is a great professor, cares about his job, cares about his students. However, there a lot of reading required and there are no similarities between quizzes and study guides and tests he gives.
Although, professor Keith is fairly new to his career you can tell he loves what he does. He's very intelligent about each & every topic. He provides videos for every chapter, and then a simple quiz. His funny videos makes me actually remember the material. He's always available if you need help. He was truly my favorite professor this semester!
Professor keith goes above and beyond any professor I've ever had. He is so caring and considerate and will always put the time in to work with you. He really makes you feel connected in the class and his lectures are amazing. You will have a pop quiz every once in a while but there open note! He's also really funny and easy on the eyes lol
Psychology is not my thing. Took it as a prereque. Test are very tricky and I stayed confused on what material to study. Read 1-2 chapters a week with a quiz and discussion. An infant could do the extra credits. Lots of videos and radio lab. Nice guy. Cool dog. Boring course. Glad it's over.
Professor Keith was the best professor I had this semester. Hands down. He's very passionate about psychology and incredibly helpful to anyone who needs it. All of the quizzes and exams are open note, but they are not easy! He has random pop quizzes at least once a week, so be prepared! Seriously, a great professor!
This guy is awesome. Every week there's a quiz and discussion post due. There's two small writing assignments and 4 exams, but drops the lowest grade for all of them. He uploads lectures for each module, as well as additional videos pertaining to the chapters. You HAVE to read to pass this class. The textbook is free and easy to understand.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS ONLINE! It is so hard online especially if you have a full load and two jobs like me. He gives you so much work and the book doesn't help. His tests and quizzes were so hard.
Not only is he super hot but he is a great professor. He will do anything to help his students and his is so hilarious. I feel like he creates his lesson around life experiences his students go through, like I said, awesome professor.
Such a great professor! I would recommend him to anyone. He gives great lectures, and wonderful feedback.
It was an alright class. He was unorganized for our hybrid class. Test were extremely hard and open note ( but you still won't get a good grade). He was nice and easy to get a hold of outside of class. Attendance is mandatory and there is some group work throughout the semester.
This class wasn't easy but also wasn't impossible. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and he genuinely wants you to succeed. I went to his office hours every chance I got and he was always willing to help with any questions I had and he gave good insight on my outlines and rough drafts for essays and papers. Definitely recommend!!!
Ok guys, Keith is a really good lecturer. He know what he is talking about; however, his tests are also hard, and you have to study for them and look at the powerpoints constantly. Take it with him if you are ready to learn, but you will have to but effort. You will not regret it though.
Ryan Keith is an outstanding professor of Psychology. He will go out of his way for you, truly making it seem like he cares. I wasn't sure where I was going with me degree track but after taking Social Psych and Developmental Psych with him, I was inspired to delve deeper into Psychology. He cares less about the letter grade and more about you!
Ryan Keith is by far the best professor I have had at SF. I took his Honors Gen Psych class and absolutely loved it! He reallyy cares about his students and he still helps me out even though I don't have him this semester. I would highly recommend taking him. His lectures are super engaging and his tests are open note!
Just an awesome professor, it's a shame I'm not a psych major because I would try to take him for every class. You learn a lot and the workload is fair. I couldn't recommend him enough. He also has some great podcast recommendations.
He really enjoys psychology and knows his stuff. There may be a few tidbits in the text that conflict with what he says during lecture. In such a situation always go with what he says. I separated my notes between "text psychology" and "Keith psychology." I'm not even saving he is wrong. Just don't get the two mixed up and you'll be fine.
There aren't enough words to describe how much I enjoyed this class and being his student. He is truly one of the best professors and really wants to see you learn and succeed. Your grade will depend on the effort you put into the class. If you are like me, you will study as needed and pay attention in class and get an easy A. TAKE HIM!!
Professor Keith is the best professor I've had so far at Santa Fe. Even if you hate psychology he can make it your most interesting class. Is very fair with assignments and grading. Even gave us a free online textbook. Tests are somewhat hard because he makes you think like a psychologist. Just take notes in class and you'll be golden.
Professor Keith is an amazing professor and I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to be in one of his honors general psychology classes. He really knows what he is talking about and is very approachable - communication is huge, let him know if there is something going on that's affecting your work and he will work with you.
He was hands down the best prof I've ever had. His tests are hard but as long as you go to class, take good notes and read you'll be fine. He is willing to proofread paper and give feedback so you get the A. He is willing to meet outside of office hours. Will also remind us the most important thing to do is not to panic. Makes learning fun.
Prof Keith is by far the best professor I have ever had in college. His lectures were fun and interesting and he was so helpful during office hours (literally went every day). His tests are a little difficult but if you utilize his office hours and take good notes, you will pass with an A. Overall amazing and it also helps that he's a cutie!
BEST PROF EVER. Pay attention and take good notes and youll be fine. Tests every week but its not that bad. Also some participation but he makes psychology easy to understand and youll love it. Also super hot
Best professor I have had. He is always willing to work with you to make sure you pass his class and any other class you have. He gives really great lectures.
Amazing lectures! One quiz every week, he provides so much information in class so pay attention, and he also provides a home page with the videos or podcasts, and chapter you have to read to do understand well and do well. He cares so so much about yOu and helping you succeed. Puts everything you need at your fingertips. Plus hes a total cutie
He is very interactive in his lectures and makes sure to keep things interesting. There is a quiz at the end of each week and there are a couple of graded papers throughout the semester along with a group project. But due to hurricane season messing up our class time we ended up doing a class project instead So I'm not sure about that grading.
I absolutely loved this professor! I had him for both social and developmental psychology. His lectures are engaging and he gives everyone a chance to participate. Although you'll probably be called on, he would never get annoyed if you didn't know the answer, only asking for your best guess.
Lectures are so easy to follow. Makes things super easy to learn.
Professor Keith was wonderful. You can tell he truly LOVES psychology and teaching. He used video lectures and all were unique and funny. He cares if you pass, but you need to put forth some effort and not just BS you're way through it. If you try, you'll learn a lot. TAKE RYAN KEITH!
Each week you have read a chapter out of the textbook along with watch videos and listen to podcast. He is a very funny and good teacher though. There is test almost every week that can be super difficult. The textbook is free.
Prof. Keith is the best professor ive ever had. I took his archer campus class and it was worth the drive. He prints slides for you and has a lecture ready to take notes on. He cares about students, isn't perfect but isn't afraid to admit it. Our class had small online test every week, 3 papers (one optional) and a final project video. great class!
Do not take this class! His tests have nothing to do with the material covered during class time. No study guides are given before the Tests. Instead, he wants you to memorize everything in every chapter. There are very few homework assignments, so good luck padding your grade. No extra credit is given.
Mr. Keith is disorganized. It is the week of finals and we still havent got back grades for two exams and two essay papers. We are supposed to be given the option to not have to take the final exam if we are happy with our grade. But, none of us know our grades so no one is going to be able to skip the final.
This class is nerve-racking! Due dates change, grades change, tests are harder than what is taught in class or online. He is this organized and you will not know your grade until after the semester is over.
Get ready to teach yourself psychology. Professor Keith, while entertaining, covers very little of the exam questions during class. There are two essay questions per test and you have to know the material inside and out in order to answer them quickly. Tests are timed. Questions are tricky. There is not enough homework to pad your grade.
Professor Keith is entertaining, makes himself available outside of class, and gives good feedback on papers. At the same time, his disorganization, test taking methods and expectations are unnerving.
I really enjoyed this class and thought the professor did a good job explaining material. The lectures were interesting and he uses free textbooks, so you don't have to spend extra money on an expensive book. Pay attention in class and take notes, and you will be fine.
Professor Keith turned out to be my favorite professor at Santa Fe. His lectures are very interesting, and you can tell he really wants students to succeed. Some people complained they did not do well on the weekly chapter quizzes/tests, but that is because they didn't attend class or do the reading. Take this class with Professor Keith!
I took his online class, and it was one of the best online classes I have taken at Santa Fe. He posts videos and lectures, and it definitely felt more interactive than other online classes I have been in. You have to keep up with the weekly reading and assignments, but it wasn't a tough class. He also has online and in-person office hours.
Great class! Needed it for my program, but ended up liking it so much that I will take more classes with Professor Keith.
Mr. Keith is the best. I took psychology in high school, but this was a lot better. Go to class, take notes, and talk to him if you have questions.
I took his hybrid class so you do have to read a lot of articles and listen to a bunch of podcasts but he is a great teacher. I would definitely take his class again.
By FAR the best professor I have ever taken. He is absolutely hilarious, cares a ton about his students, gives good lectures, and loves what he does. I took the once-a-week class and it was a decent amount of work and the work isn't super easy, but it's not too hard and I would take much harder courses to have a professor like Mr Keith.
I took Psychology of Social Behavior with Professor Keith and our weekly assignments usually consisted of videos to watch, podcasts to listen to, a chapter to read, and a discussion board or essay to do. The assignments are easy, but you must pay attention because the podcasts and videos assigned for the week will appear in questions on tests.
I took his course online and he was an amazing instructor. He posts his own (often recently recorded) mini-lectures each week to supplement the reading, and he's obviously passionate about his field. Material included a FREE online textbook, podcasts, TED Talks, and fun videos. Course can be reading-heavy but the content is interesting. 10/10
Quizzes are basically open book but you have to know your stuff. The papers were tedious. The week by week was not planned out before hand so you would know what you had to do till the week of. But overall really tries to help you achieve well in the class. Not hard just do the work.
Ryan Keith is a great professor who was extremely helpful outside of class and nice. However, he was unnecessarily strict if that makes sense? He didn't give much grace (even with COVID) so make sure you get your assignments done on time and you're ready to write some papers. I'd take him again but only if I absolutely had to.
Prof Keith is the best professor I have had. He is very reachable outside of class. He even gives his phone number out so you can text him! He makes youtube videos that are very informative and he also assigns interesting podcasts and videos. You really have to read the online textbook, but I found it to be very interesting and not bad at all!
The most caring and invested professor I've ever had. Professor Keith does everything in his power to help you succeed, doesn't pull any trick questions on exams, & uses a free textbook. The way he presents course information is interesting & engaging; you'll never be bored when learning the required material. Plus he has a healthy sense of humor.
This class is definitely an easy A if you enjoy psychology and go to class. His lectures are fun but be ready to participate because thats a real big thing in his class. Great professor really nice and takes his teaching seriously which I really appreciate. Definitely would take again!
Ryan Keith is one of the coolest and caring professors I have had at SF. Easily accessible! But his social psychology class was extremely difficult for me and I've taken psych classes before. His tests are quite difficult- 7 in total every 2 weeks and three research papers in total. Get ready to work!
Professor Keith is so funny and cool. He gives great lectures that make you understand, much better than the book. Online classes will have lots of podcasts and videos, which are great. Tests are sort of hard because most questions are scenarios he gives and you identify and name the term. Overall a great class and an awesome professor!
He was an amazing Professor! He made sure the class understood the material, and even taught us studying tips at the beginning of the semester. He makes contacting him very easy, and he did everything to make sure I got a good grade if I was having a hard time grasping something. The tests were open book. He is fun and extremely respectful.
Professor Keith is awesome. He uses a free textbook, and creates fun lectures that help explain material. He assigns a lot of long podcasts, but many of them are super interesting. Details from the podcasts ARE on the tests. His tests are challenging because of his detailed scenario questions, but are not worth many points. He drops 6 grades!!!!
A great professor that is very down-to-earth and understanding! Always makes us laugh in lectures, a great guy to talk to. There are a lot of essays/research papers, but it is expected in a psych class. Class is pretty easy if you take good notes and keep up!
Very good teacher, content is interesting and his lectures are good, he provides a free textbook online and the lowest 2 tests and essays are dropped, lots of listening and writing but the content is engaging
This class was very frustrating. He gives way too much work each week (podcasts, articles, videos, textbook chapters every week, & test AND essay due every other week). He is very casual during the lectures but the tests are super hard. He gives no feedback so you can't improve & won't know your grade until the very end of the semester
There's a decent amount of LISTENING work. However, you have all week to do it and most are podcast or Ted Talks with a couple videos here and then(which you can listen to whenever). Super laid back and easy to get along with, all he wants is for you to pass. I'd highly recommend if you want an easy but informative class.
If you're debating taking his class... DO IT! He gives a lot of homework every week, but some of it isn't necessarily required to pass the tests and he is amazing and caring with no homework getting a grade just discussion posts and tests receiving a grade. He grades nice with open-note tests. Feedback is super detailed with video feedback on some
Prof. Ryan Keith is one professor I will surely miss. Honestly, I might take another Psychology class with him at some point. I enjoy his format of using podcasts and videos along with a FREE online textbook. The essay prompts he gives are actually quite fun and I had a blast, I would highly recommend taking a class with him! :)
He's very involved with his class. If you ask him about something he really tries to give you the best answer he has or he'll even write it on the board to come back to. He makes his lectures fun and doesn't just grade on tests, he does make you write some a couple times a week but I'd rather do that than have a panic attack about a test.
Very down to earth, he allows you to connect with the material on a personal level. He simplifies everything but offers so much incredible insight with his experience and comes off as a very accessible individual. IMO, 1 of the best, here at SF. Drops 1 type of assignment, gives EC, and great feedback on papers. If a slot is open, don't miss out.
VERY interesting class. Free textbook online, easy discussion posts, three easy essays with lowest score dropped, NO TESTS, easy quizzes. This was an easy class, take notes on the chapters and you'll do good on the quizzes, lots of amazing videos and articles to read. If you really enjoy psychology, take this class with this professor!
It is an easy 3 credits but don't expect to learn anything! We talked more about sex and the issues of the LGBTQ community than anything else. (Not against yall, just not appropriate for class lecture) I was very often uncomfortable in class and could tell others were too. Prof. didn't appreciate that I read and knew about neuroscience.
Great professor that provides all the material you need for success. He is always easily accessible. There is quizzes every week along with discussion assignments. The quizzes are medium difficulty if you try and read the material.
Professor Keith is a very helpful instructor who is always willing to talk if you have questions or don't understand something. He also uses a free, online textbook. The course is set up well on Canvas and he makes it easy to navigate through the modules and pages. The subject material is interesting and I would recommend the class.
Really amazing professor, cares a lot about his students. If you take the honors version of his class, it is very discussion based and the only quizzes you have you're allowed to use the textbook. Participation is extremely important and as long as you show interest in the content, you'll be fine.
Prof. Keith is easily one of the best professors I've had during my time here at Santa Fe. Classes are straightforward and relatively easy, just show up to class, do the assigned work, and try your best and you will succeed! He is very kind, understanding, and down-to-earth. Thank you Prof. Keith for a great semester!
Prof. Keith is a gem! The class had such a vibe and relaxed atmosphere that I had never experienced in another class. Lots of interesting discussions and engaging material! I learned a lot from listening, watching, and doing all the homework. We had 1 major paper and 1 community project at the end. All very doable, take him if you can!!
This class is such an easy A. There are very few assignments, and they are very simple. He also gives you access to the textbook for free. Loved this class!
This was a easy class to pass. Make sure to pay attention and attendance does matter. The professor does work with you if needed and he's considerate in all aspects.
I'm about to graduate & this has been my all time favorite professor and class here at Santa Fe. You have a chapter quiz and discussion post due weekly, but I found it very manageable. The discussion posts are all opinion based and the quizzes have unlimited attempts. No exams. The class was super entertaining, looked forward to it every week.
