i had taylor for lab: he's extremely clear and raise ur hand for questions he will answer them beyond belief. amazing guy, smart.. im not kissin up to him.. this is how it is. all his powerpoints are online, gives extra credit every once in awhile so be in class... there is 4 big tests & u drop 1 if you have taken at least all tests & had 1 ? right
Oh man this guy was awesome probably the most helpful profesor I ever had. Always at the open labs on sundays and is always willing to answer any quesitons you may have I would recommend to any one!
THE CLASS IS HARD, HARD HARD. BUT HE IS THE BEST TEACHER FOR IT. HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO PASS THE CLASS. ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP, EXPLAINS THINGS CLEARLY, BEST TEACHER EVER. OCCASIONAL EXTRA CREDIT.
He is not very clear, if you do not like how the body works I would not take him. His labs are horrible b/c he does not explain everything he makes you ask all questions and sometimes the right questions do not come out. His lecture goes by fast and you MUST read the textbook!!
HARD HARD HARD!! I was in his office atleast two times a week and still failed this class. Take this only if you plan on studying hours and hours a week. He went out of his way to try and help me but obviously that was no help. If you can, I recommend taking Hogue instead. Retook it with him and am doing 100 times better.
this class is really hard but he is extremely helpful. i had no interst in the class and he somehow makes it interesting. he has open labs at least twice a week and they really help. i would recommend him to anyone!
This class (in general) takes a lot of time and dedication if you want to do well; no matter what teacher you have. This guy loves A&P and is EXTREMELY helpful!! He even helps advise you about things OUTSIDE of class! Very fair, but this guy sticks to the timeline on the syllabus; FAST PACED. Book is helpful w/the diagrams and what not
Difficult class. very fast paced. Very good teacher though. Extremely knowledgeable and will help you with anything.I don't think there is anything that he doesn't know. I would recommend him, although you really need to study. Nice guy in general.
The Class is very hard. You must study and go to all classes if you want to pass. Taylor is awesome, and helps outside of class. He knows everything there is to know about A&P. He puts the notes online, so you can follow along in class. I highly recommend him!!!
This a HARD CLASS!! A lot of memorization and a ton of notes. Don't kid yourself you wont pass if you don't study. He's really a great guy, still talk to him even though I don't have him anymore. You will learn everything about A&P from him and it is an easy A if you want to put in the time!!!
Dr. Taylor is a great teacher, He goes a little fast sometimes but he knows everyhting you need to know. The class is pretty hard but you just have to study. He also gives extra credit attendance quizes a couple times before each test, which is nice.
great teacher but his class is so hard!! i studied but the exams were tricky. the labs are also tricky and i studied my butt off. if you have good memorization and can study alot then take him if not then try sumone else
Dr. Taylor is the best teacher I've EVER had. Don't get me wrong this class is EXTREMELY hard and you have to study a lot but if you put the time in you will get SO much out of this class.
Dr. Taylor def. knows what he is talking about. He is an really awesome teacher. But his class is extrememly hard, a lot of memorization! If you study and keep up with the material, you will do well in the class. Also, he's extremely helpful and keeps the class interesting. TAKE HIM!
VERY HARD CLASS. TEACHER IS A GENIUS, BUT TOO MUCH MATERIAL. TEACHER IS DOWN TO EARTH AND VERY SMART. CLASS IS CRAZY HARD.
great guy, extremely hard class, but that's not his fault at all. he's always willing to help. tests are very in-depth, and difficult.
Dr. Taylor's class is AWESOME! He always keeps things interesting and is always there to provide extra help in both lecture and lab! Be prepared to study A LOT, but this class is so worth it. Stay on top of the powerpoints and go to class! If you're ready for a challenging class, this is the one for you!
Dr. Taylor is a great guy, makes some good and easy to understand analogies, and is very helpful. I really don't know why everyone says his class is hard though! If you're a gym (exercise science major) suck it up! If you have a reasonable amount of intelligence and common sense this class is EASY!
He is a great teacher but the class is very tough. you learn a lot of information in a little time period. you have to just memorize everything. its not concepts on how to find the answer you just memorize. if you cant memorize consider taking this class over the summer.but he is a nice guy. great for labs.
Anatomy is just hard, it takes a lot of memorization and time, but if you have to take it, I would def. recommend Dr. Taylor. He really knows what he is talking about. He puts powerpoints online and you can follow right along with the lecture. everything you need to know for the test is on them. He really got me ready for 216
I LOVE Dr. Taylor!! he is an amazing professor, probally one of my favorites! He is a funny guy.. you just have to have a corny sense of humor to get his jokes.. but he is also always willing to help, and i would recomend taking him fo sho :)
this class was hard, but most people who take it will go on to take 216 which is HARDER. anatomy is just tough in general. Taylor is a nice guy and you can tell he likes his job, but he goes so fast only because there is so much info to cover. tests are difficult..study a lot!
Ryan Taylor is a very hard teacher. However, I'm very glad I had him for lecture. He explained everything very well it's just up to you to study.
I loved Taylor. He is so passionate about what he teaches. Super approachable and very nice. You still have to study, but he is a great teacher.
taylor is great! teaches a hard class well, just pay attention and study the slides you will be fine. awesome proffessor right here
Awesome professor, one of my favorites! Makes things interesting and has lots of energy. Wish he taught more classes.
My favorite professor! So funny and a great person. Class is hard but he does his best to make it easier to understand. Study the power points! I had him for lab too and he was just as great.
Dr. T is THE BEST!! I absolutely loved him! Such a great professor! A&P is a hard class to take and you have to work really hard but Taylor makes the class very interesting. I would definitely take him again! gonna miss his daily jokes!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!!
Great teacher!
Dr. Taylor is an amazing professor! He does what he can to ease any tension involving subject matter, and takes a no nonsense approach to tests. Although he will not cut his students any slack, he makes sure that students have the resources they need to succeed in his class. I'm really going to miss his class!
run away! his tests are so hard and many people did very poorly. He only does power points and goes through them fast. Though he is funny and a good guy he is a bad teacher and the exams are horrible. He teaches nothing like the exams. He ALWAYS puts the powerpoints on myclasses after you need them. Did not enjoy this class at all
Dr. Taylor is super nice and energetic. He definitely knows what he's talking about and gets to know the names of the students even in a 100+ class. His exams are difficult but they are manageable if you study at least 3 nights in advance. He is very welcome to questions and tries to make the class fun and interactive. I got a B in his class.
Dr. Taylor is awesome! Granted his tests are somewhat difficult he just wants to make sure you understand the material. He is very helpful and energetic. I highly recommend. I would HIGHLY recommend to take him for lecture and lab. He's awesome
He is awesome! His tests are pretty hard, but you have to study and its important to go to class. He is really funny and easy to understand. And his "quizzes" are extra credit.
Great teacher, easy to understand and usually makes class interesting. Tests are pretty hard and require a lot of studying.
Awesome teacher! Received an A. I had to work really hard for it, though. If you are not prepared to put in hours of studying, then i recommend not taking this class. You take 5 tests, but he drops your lowest test. So, if you a A average after your four tests, you dont have to take the final!
Wonderful, but challenging class. Please do not take unless required for your major, BIO 101 is ALOT easier.
GREAT
Challenging class IF you don't study. Everything on the exams is from the powerpoints and what he says in class. He does not try to trick you. Great sense of humor and involves students. Study a little every day and you will be fine.
Great teacher, really knows the material. He has powerpoints you can print out for every chapter, and the tests are mostly off those, not the textbook. The tests are hard but if you study you can get good grades. Go to class, he puts a lot of info on the tests that he talks about in lecture.
He definitely keeps the class entertaining. His exams are hard (even if you study) but they're all multiple choice. The only thing I didn't like was him interrupting class EVERY time someone was late. I'm not exaggerating. EVERY time. It didn't make sense to me for him to stop class because that was more of a disruption than someone being late
Great guy! Always energetic and you can tell he loves his job! His class is difficult, but if you put in the time necessary for the class you will do fine. Also, take Wanda Perkins as your lab instructor, she is the easiest one. Great guy and class overall! Would highly recommend him if A&P1 is necessary for your major.
Awesome teacher! He is able to explain complex information in a way that is easy to understand. Make sure you go to class and write down everything he says. If you just read the powerpoints they won't make sense, his explanations are key. Tests are difficult but if you study in advance and go to class it isn't that bad. Very smart and nice guy.
Awesome teacher! He explained everything in a way that was super easy to understand and his lectures were really easy to remain interested in. Make sure you print out the power points and bring them to class to take notes on. I only had to use the book for clarification on a few things when studying for exams. Super nice guy!
Great professor, fun class but requires quite a bit of studying. Don't take this class if you have a heavy workload. Lecture notes don't help if you don't come to class because he expands deeply on each topic in his lecture. You need the textbook to study for lab.
Dr. Taylor is great! I would definitely take him again if I could. He gives you the power points to study from and his tests are all multiple choice. Likes to tell some jokes, but he makes you want to learn! Barely use the textbook!
Dr. Taylor is super funny and a great prof. His lectures are straight forward and while the material may be a bit difficult, if you study you'll be fine. His tests are pretty straight forward, as long as you take notes on his lecture and study. Definitely would recommend!
Taylor is one of the best teachers to get for anatomy. He honestly cares about his students. He wants you to get the A. He makes class interesting by coming up with examples that are easy to understand, if you go to SI an A will come easy. You can tell he knows what he is talking about. Would have taken him again for Bio 216.
Taylor really knows what he is talking about. He really cares about his students and is always there to help during his office hours. There are four tests and a final. He will drop your lowest test score at the end of the semester and he always adds bonus points to everyone's test. The subject matter is tough though you studying is mandatory.
Dr. Taylor is a really great professor. Just print out the powerpoints and bring it to class. He has 4 tests and the final is optional is you do well on the tests. He also drops the lowest test grade. He's more than willing to help you so go to his office hours! His tests are tough so you'll definitely need to study and show up to class to pass.
Dr. Taylor is by far my favorite person ever in the world (I'm not exaggerating here). He's an awesome professor who makes a difficult subject easier to understand and was so helpful when you go to him for help. Its not an easy class at all, but he makes it as fun and exciting as he can!
Dr. Taylor was an awesome professor! His lectures were long, but I didn't mind going to class. A&P is a really hard course but he made it much more understandable.
Dr. Taylor is absolutely my favorite teacher at SU. I would highly recommend him over all other anatomy teachers. Test come straight from his power points & from what he says during lecture. Always available during office hours and he sincerely cares about his students. I wish he taught bio 216!!!!! Study notes hard & attend class for an A.
Go to class and you should be okay. All around good guy, there to help. Wish I had him for A&P 216 too.
This class is hard no matter what but Dr. Taylor makes it entertaining as possible, he's very sarcastic and i loved it. He gives out extra credit pop quiz's that will totally help your grade in the long run so go to class. If you have to take bio 215 i would totally recommend him
Dr. Taylor is a great professor. He made the material fun to learn and interesting. Dr. Taylor would often use examples that would make confusing topics "click". He cares about his students and wants to make sure everyone understands the material. His exams are tricky and difficult so studying and understanding the material is crucial. Take him!
He is a funny awesome teacher. Learned so much from him. He will spring extra credit opps on you every once in a blue moon. Especially right before holidays when he knows not a lot of people will be there. GO TO CLASS! He doesn't take attendance but you will regret it. No homework, just 4 exams. Study hard. Uses powerpoints which he posts for you.
Dr. Taylor made a long lecture entertaining and engaging. He gives random extra credit quizzes, which he almost literally gives the answers to. Tests are right from the powerpoints and lectures, and he allows a drop grade on your lowest test. DO NOT MISS AN EXAM unless you plan on using that as your drop grade. Great choice overall, very funny!
Dr. Taylor was awesome! Anatomy itself is pretty complex and confusing, but Taylor's lectures made all the difference. He was really funny and put a lot of complicated structures and functions into simpler terms. He let's you drop one exam and gave us easy little grade-boosting pop quizzes just because. make sure you GO TO CLASS, though!
Dr. Taylor was an extremely personable professor. He's really easy to understand and makes his lectures entertaining. The only down side is that the only grades you receive in his class are tests, no homeworks or extra credit, so you have to be very well-prepared for the exams.
Great Professor. If you go to class and pay attention you will fail. you need to study on your own time. Taylor gives you all the material you need to study. He is very funny and he wants his students to learn
One of the hardest Classes I've ever taken. But this guy is so funny and makes the lectures so interesting that I was able to pass. Make sure you read the textbook and understand things better than you think you need to because that's how you will pass.
I would not recommended having Taylor as your A&P teacher. Lab was pretty much self taught and he would just be there if you had questions. I found his voice to be very boring and I would usually find myself either falling asleep or zone out. You need to fully understand the concepts because he expects you to apply the material during the Lec exams
He's a fabulous teacher and is as thorough as possible when it comes to anatomy. He knows anatomy is tough for most students but tries to make the best of it for his students! Funny guy too. Tests are very difficult however, so go to SI meetings and study ALL material
He's hilarious, and that made class awesome! He's open to questions about the material. But it IS biology, so it's a tough, high-impact course. If you need to skip a day, you can. The pps are online. Try printing them out before class for notes. He hates lateness, and will lightheartedly call out people for being late. He made bio enjoyable.
Very hard class, he's been known as the hardest lecture prof at the Bury, but he's willing to help. Make sure you go to class because the tests are mostly things that he says outside of the lecture powerpoints. He's super funny and makes a lot of jokes
Great professor, explained concepts really well and always encouraged us to ask questions if something was unclear. Great anatomy professor.
Dr. Taylor's his A&P 1 class is 100+ students because everyone love him! The way he runs lecture is amazing and clear. He makes the class environment very comfortable and he's super personable and likes having a "conversation" with the class. He welcomes questions and will go over anything that you don't understand. Definitely take him for bio215!
He is the BEST professor Ive had so far. He provides the powerpoints and has such good lectures. Make sure you go to class because he mentions examples not on the powerpoint and they will be on the exams. Also gave alot of extra credit pop quizes in class.
Dr. Taylor is an amazing professor and is really enthusiastic about what he teaches. He doesn't take attendance so going to class isn't necessary but a lot of questions on the exams are about things he says in class that aren't in the notes. Tests are pretty straightforward if you study well. I highly recommend taking him for BIO215!
Dr. Taylor is one of the best professors I have had so far. His lectures are clear and he provides all the things you need to know to do well on the exams! Make sure you go to class because he provides extra credit quizzes occasionally. Also, go to SI it will really help in the long run. TAKE HIM YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!
He is an amazing professor and really enthusiastic about teaching! Even though attendance is not mandatory, he sometimes gives extra credit randomly after class and some of the questions on the exam are what he says in class and not on the notes he provides via powerpoint. I 100% recommend taking him, I would take him for bio216 if I could.
Dr. Taylor is one of the best professors I've ever had. He genuinely cares about his students and makes lectures and labs very engaging and entertaining. Attendance is not mandatory but you probably won't pass if you don't show up b/c a lot of the exam questions are in lectures. Also, SI sessions help a ton. I wish he taught BIO216.
AMAZING!! He talks fast in lectures, but always makes sure the material is understood. His labs are great too! The lecture exams are very tough, but the lab exams are pretty simple as long as you study!
I absolutley love him as a person. Taylor cares about his students and makes sure that you understand the material. He talks fast in lecture but in a way that he is passionate about the material and not too fast that it is hard to understand. I would go to every lecture if possible he does random easy quizes that are extra points and help ur grade.
If you are ready to work for it, Prof. Taylor proved to be a fantastic teacher. His lectures are very well spoken, and he never fails to answer any question you may have, in as much detail as you need. Mr. Taylor is clearly very intelligent in his field of study, and I highly recommend him.
Dr. Taylor is one the best professors ever. Teaches off power point but explains very well and always answers any questions. Attendence isnt mandatory but he gives out random extra credit so show up. Had him for lab too, he is always willing to explain things for you. He really cares and is just a super down to earth guy and great professor.
Dr. Taylor one of the best professors I have seen at SU. A&P is a difficult class but he makes it easy to understand and entertaining. He cracks jokes during his lectures and always has good energy. He is pretty lenient and is pretty accessible out of class. If given the chance I would definitely take him again.
One of the BEST Professors at SU! He gives off very Dad Like Vibes, super sweet and loves to joke around. Cares about his students and makes lectures are interesting by talking TO his students, not at them. BIOL215 is a hard topic but Dr. T makes it fun and is always there to help during labs for any questions. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Dr. Taylor is the best! He knows a lot about A&P, and is very helpful in lab. He'll call on everybody at one point in class, but he never asks anything too difficult. He's really funny, and his jokes occasionally help you remember certain criteria. The work is hard though, so you have to study a lot and make effort.
I had his class online this semester because of COVID. He posted the lectures and you had to watch them on your own. He has really corny/funny dad jokes, but he knows what he's talking about. He tells you what you need to know for the test and what stuff is not important. Pretty solid if you do the work and study.
Said simply, A&P is a challenging class, however, Dr Taylor is a great professor. He replies back quickly to emails and is flexible with office hours. He really cares about how you do in the class. I took this during COVID, his lectures were online and you had to them by yourselves and the labs were on zoom. Study and do the work and youll be fine
Dr. Taylor worked very hard to make class engaging during online courses. He encourages you to ask questions and is very patient. He literally just wants you to do well and cares about your grade!
Best professor ive had in a while! He made A&P as fun as it could be and he was a very helpful teachers with any questions. Take him you won't regret it!
Because of corona this class was synchrinist which made things more difficult. with that being said every lecture was pre recorded so you could work at your own pace which was nice but it made it hard to stay on track because there was barely any interactions. Dr Taylor is definetly brilliant. But if you have learning dissabilities hard to keep up
I took his class and he assigned a different lab instructor to us. His class was organized and attendance was not mandatory. Just make sure to pay attention because A&P is a hard class. 6/10 but was online for the whole semester.
Dr. Taylor is probably the best anatomy teacher there is. He is very knowledgeable on every topic. He sometimes gets excited over the material and talks fast. 5 exams drops the lowest score and if you do good you don't have to take the final. Loves cracking jokes and takes the time to learn students names. Also had him for lab and he was fantastic!
Dr. Taylor does a great job at teaching such a difficult class. This is a class where you get out what you put in. If you show him that you are trying he will go above and beyond to help you. Highly recommend
Very hard tests, class average was a High D, you have to really really understand the material. But he is funny and tries to make lectures enjoyable. But tests are ridiculously hard. 90% of the test will be something he mentioned once.
Dr. Taylor has great lectures and knows a lot about what he's teaching but only gives 4 online assignments and 5 exams, 1 being the final. The lowest exam is dropped though. He usually gives 3 "pop quizzes" that he provides the answers to so those help your grade. Overall, if you study and work hard in his class his exams are straightforward.
Dr. Taylor is a hard teacher, but if you study you will do good. He is test-heavy you will have four assignments throughout the whole semester that are not worth much. He also posted his covid videos so that you can go back and rewatch his lectures. He is great during office hours as well if you need help. Would recommend if your willing to study.
Dr. Taylor is so far my favorite professor. He cracks some very cringe jokes, but his lectures were very enjoyable because he tried to make them interesting, and encouraged participation. He is also a VERY knowledgeable man. His lecture exams are a bit tough, but do-able. He gives random quizzes & gives the answers to boost grades so go to class!
Dr. Taylor was a great professor, but his grading was very limited. He did not allow extra credit or late credit opportunities, and lectures were just an overview of the material. If you want to pass this class, definitely make time out of your day to learn the material yourself! He was extremely open to helping during office hours and lab time.
Dr. Taylor is an amazing professor for Human Anatomy! The class is hard in itself, but he made it easier to understand the concepts and materials. He is very open to questions and responds to emails fast. Definitely recommend.
Dr. Taylor was honestly one of my favorite teachers to have, Anatomy 1 is a tough class, but if you show up to lectures and put in the time to study you will do just fine. He also posts past videos of him teaching the subject which makes studying a breeze.
Absolutely loved this professor and would definitely take them again if I could. Professor makes the course interesting and is very open to answering any questions. You definitely need to study for lecture, but the lab component is fairly easy if you use the time wisely. 10/10 would recommend!!
I had Dr. Taylor for Bio 215 Anatomy and Physiology 1 and he was the best. This a lecture-heavy course but he is a great speaker and the content he shares is what will appear on the exam. A brilliant professor, very knowledgeable, and answered every question I had including those unrelated to our course. He was an amazing lab instructor as well.
Dr.Taylor is an amazing professor, doesn't make you feel stupid for asking questions, will tell you what will be on exams, and uploads his power points after class. As long as you study the slides you will do great. Your effort for the class will reflect your grade. Only con is I ended with an 89 and he wouldn't round me.
Fantastic professor! You can tell he really knows his stuff. He posts all of his lectures online as a PDF/ as videos, and attendance isn't mandatory. The only strife I saw was that his lectures can go fast and you may not have enough time to copy down his slides, so I recommend having the PDF handy on your phone.
He started the semester by telling the class his failure rate was 45%. This might be because he expects his students to learn the material before he teaches it. For example, the lab section for a unit starts a week before you learn it in the lecture.
Dr. Taylor is one of the best professors here for sure. His lectures are easy to follow and he explains things super well and welcomes any questions. It's clear he is knowledgeable on the subject and will answer questions in a vert thorough way. He moves quick because there's so much material but it's not difficult to understand what he's saying.
Dr. Taylor was a great professor. You can really tell he knows what he is talking about and will answer any questions. This class overall is pretty challenging but he makes it much more manageable. He posts his lecture slides on my classes as well as pre recorded lectures so you can go back through which was a lifesaver.
So awesome. I really liked the lecture slides he would post. The Panopto videos were very useful.
Good dude, engaging lectures, will NOT curve your grade, but wants you to succeed. Provides good study tools.
I really enjoyed his lectures, he did his best to keep us engaged the whole time by interacting with the class and always cracking jokes. I also had him for lab which he didn't really teach much, you kinda just have to figure it out on your own which I didn't mind because I feel like I retained the info better. As long as you study you'll be fine
Dr. Taylor is a knowledgeable prof who makes a tough class more manageable. He posts slides and pre-recorded lectures - a lifesaver. Attendance is mandatory, but the effort pays off. For study prep, the free unstuck study tools were a big help alongside the textbook.
Bio itself isn't easy however Professor Taylor made lectures ver interesting and he also gave reviews and allowed you to ask questions before exams. While attendance isn't mandatory he give a lot of important in-depth detailed info during lecture. Would %1000 take him again.
Super good teacher. Had for lecture and lab, def recommend for lecture but not so much for lab, kind of lets you figure everything out yourself.
Highly recommend! Dumbed down the material in a way you can understand, especially if you're not strong in biology.
