I thought she was so nice. Class was interesting, she was very helpful and a fair grader. An overall lovely, sweet person and a good professor

Excellent teacher. Cares about students and puts in a lot of time grading work. Look at the grammar of the student who did not like her. Gee...what does that tell you?

The class is demanding and she expects a lot from her students. She is always willing to help you...you just have to ask. It is a lot of work but it is well worth it

She is a very nice professor, but she grades very unfairly. She would write like one bad comment on your paper and you would still got like a D. I suggest you drop that class or your GPA will go down majorly.

This professor is extremely helpful. She will always make time to meet with you. She also gives assignments that represent what you will have to write in other classes. Hard grader, but fair. Always gives grading criteria. Show up and do the work, watch your grammar, and you'll be fine.

This class is SO annoying. Assigns A LOT of busywork. Nice lady and very helpful, but needs to get a grip on reality that Comp. is just a FRICKEN Gen. Ed. She's the type of professor who thinks her class is the most important ever. Your GPA will plummet if you take this class!

She is a hard teacher but if you go to class and do your work then your fine. Shes always willing to help. The reading assignments are easy and you don't get tests.

Her class was a little boring...but she tries really hard to make sure you understand the subject matter...if you go to class, participate, and pay attention, you shouldn't have a problem getting a decent grade!

I don't know why people don't like her, because she is such a nice lady and very helpful. She grades your papers hard, but fair. Her comments are not mean, but rather helpful for the next time you write a paper. She will meet with you whenever you want if you are having trouble. I loved her class!

Wow. I don't know why some people here are so upset. I learned so much in this class. I guess I'd have to say to the last rater, if you had AP English and are a great writer, why did you have to take ENGL 110?

She is a very hard grader but very fair. Go to her right away for help. Many people fail the first paper and spend the whole semester playing catch up. You will do fine but only if you work extremely hard. She is brutally fair but will help you with anything!

I liked the Prof. Brouillette even though she does give a ton of work because she is really helpful and you could learn alot from her class.

Unless you love staying up till the crack of dawn doing meaningless work on a boring subject, all for a required introductory course, do not take. There is NO reason that 110 english should be this hard. And if for some reason there is anything but a frown next to this, ignore it.

Don't judge professor Brouillette by these ratings... Half of these people are probably just lazy!! As long as you work you will be fine. We are after all in COLLEGE... it's not supposed to be as easy as highschool, and i have learned alot from her! She is a nice nice lady and she is very willing to help you in and outside of class.

Much better professor than the other comments indicate. She is extremely nice and very helpful. She does expect alot and her class is not easy, but go to her for help and she will not let you down and you will get a good grade.

She grades very hard. If you want an A, good luck. Go to her for help as well as the writing center and maybe you'll get a B. Considers a C as perfectly normal for papers. Lots of Blackboard quizzes and reading. Papers were pretty pointless and I did not learn very much from this class. ohh and boring when she teaches and reads directly from slides

I took the night class which was offered expecting to have a monotonous, pedantic experience...boy was I wrong. She is a very helpful, but somewhat picky professor. She has high expectations for the class, which is expected from a 300 level class. Disregard the negative comments from the 110 classes, she's an excellent professor!!

Professor Brouillette really knows her stuff. She is extremely challenging, but you learn so much. I spent at least 10-12 hours on each paper and pulled out Bs (and I'm a strong writer). Go to her for advice. She will help you.

Excellent professor, she expects a lot from her students but is very willing to help. I have come to her on many occassions, where she was able to off a good deal of construction criticism. Consequently my writing abilites have increased, which is displayed in my grades in other classes. Take her!

I don't see why the 110 sections are giving her a bad rap, maybe it's because their freshmen? Regardless, she is somewhast demanding prof, and I would have liked her to hold some additional office hours, but I do recommend her to people who want to improve their writing skills.

Well for a comp class you would think it would not be ridiculous. Pretty much only write papers nothing really important other than that. Teacher grades like we are professional writers which is dumb for a comp class atleast give us a chance. Acts like the papers are good then you get them back and you get a C. Not the easiest teacher! I am a strong writer and I never got an A on my papers. C is the average grade in her class. She makes you write a definition essay, a compare/contrast, and then a final 10 page paper combining the two (a proposal paper). However, she will help you to become a stronger writer.

If you want an easy A, probably not your teacher. She's extremely nice and will help you on papers if you ask her. Most of the final grade is 3 main papers on the same topic of your choice. Class time can be entertaining but not 100% necessary with the work given. She allows revisions on ALL papers. Shes real cool but can be a tough grader.

Brouillette will meet you half way and is very helpful. She can at times be frustrating but indeed she is a good professor

Um, well where do I begin she is very helpful but she's just really difficult professor. We only used the open questions book and the hacker book is very helpful. Grades organization is HORRIBLE !!!!!!!

She's one of my favorite profs and is super nice! Definitely recommend!
