This guy is the absolute worst teacher I've ever had in my whole life. And I'm not just ****ing because I'm a good student and got a bad grade. I think his teaching caused me to actually know LESS about economics than I did coming into the class.

WORST TEACHER AT ST. JOHN'S! Constantly mumbling and not sure how he makes up exams and grades them - your entire class will get between 0-30 on the first test. Don't make the mistake of waiting to drop him - drop him as soon as you see him!

He was very hard to understand in class and was unapproachable. His tests are not understandble.

My main question is why is he still teaching at St. John's? This is the ABSOLUTELY WORST PROFESSOR St. John's has. My gpa went down because of him. How else would you explain 4 A's and 1 D+?

Omg, this guy is a joke. U'll have no clue what he says in class. He draws lines on the board and calls it a graph. Its amazing because I have all A's, then a D+ from his a**. How can u be tested if you didnt learn sh*t?

i thought it was just me that thought he was a horrible teacher turns out i am not. if u do have him don't take his class. listen to everyone. he will mess up ur gpa, definetly. and watch out for his 3 question essay test questions. very unclear.

Don't believe that he's on "probation". He's back every single year with the goal to fail almost his entire class w/ the exception of like 3 people. So glad I dropped him, b/c he WILL ruin your GPA with his "tests".

I had a high GPA until I took his class. Never failed a single test and did the extra credit paper & I still failed! Ruined my GPA forever. I am still trying to fight the grade but it is not working. DON'T TAKE THIS COURSE!! It's not worth a single moment

You wonder why St.Johns hired this clown. This guy makes Buechner look easy. He just keeps on drawing and drawing graphs the whole class. Take Tomic or Jain and you will actually learn something along with getting a good grade.

Honestly I think he really tries. But his inability to speak English may be why everyone I know (myself included) is failing this course. If u're NOT on a scholarship and can handle bringing a D home to ur parents, then take him. At least u can skip his class without having him give u grief about it

This guy almost ruined my GPA, I was forced to drop it. I'm an A student and I woulda gotten an F if I kept the class. Horrible teacher, can barely understand him, arrogant when you ask questions, draws a lot of graphs and uses symbols, makes the course very confusing. Avoid him if you can.

Everytime I see this man I get upset! He is absolutely horrible! I did an extra credit paper and got a D! He can't teach, brings nothing but a piece of chalk to class, arrogant, rude, doesn't even know what chapter he's teaching, just plain terrible. He curved one test by 30pts and i still got a 60%! Wow-the worst. You can't understand his english and he can't understand yours. You ask him a question and he starts talking about something else. He teaches like we already know everything and hes just reviewing it. Drop him as soon as you can because even if you go hard you still wont do good in this class.

This guy is horrible! He can't even speak in proper sentences let alone teach! His sentences are so inproper it almost sounds like he's taking to himself (no one can expect anyone to possibly understand anything he says)! Everyone in the class gets D's or C's on his exams (which are essay form) and he gives final grades as D's and C's! Drop Him!

He is simply the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I took 1301 with him and somehow got a B (my lowest grade ever at SJU). Got him again for 1302, and tried it... ended up dropping it after I got the class high grade of a D+ (thats with a curve on it!). ....Sadik Gokturk...is nothing less than the spawn of satan. He teaches you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! He barely speaks proper English!! I took this guy and when I finished the final I went to the front of the room, slammed the paper down on the desk in front of him and cursed him out. Worst class I took in my life. I don't care who else you gotta take, but drop this class, and get the hell away from him.

Worst professor I have ever had at St.John's! The material isn't that complicated but his methods of teaching are terrible. His book recommendation has a copyright date of 1993 (google is your best source of info). midterm - 3?s, final and oral presentation but you never find out your grade for the final or presentation until grades are released.

I too, thought people were just being harsh in their reviews. Being in class is only important to find out when the test is. Otherwise, you're on your own. Sit in the back and cheat. It's so easy since he sleeps through he exam, and quite frankly the only way to pass. I sat in the front row and took my test with my notebook so that I didn't fail

I took this guy way back in Fall 1998 as a SJU undergrad freshman for Microeconomics. He was horrible then and judging by reviews now, nothing changed. He is very confusing and nothing in class is clear. Try to avoid this guy and take another professor if possible. If Gary Mongiovi teaches macro or micro economics, then take him!

I came to class once every other week and got a 55 on the midterm, did not take the final, and did my presentation a few minutes before class and my grade was a B-. Now imagine if I actually put in effort. Whatever you do, DO NOT DROP! I'm still shocked at my grade because clearly I deserved an F. No hw's, no quizzes. Just 2 exams & 1 presentation
