I've had Stav for more than one class and he is a great prof. He speaks to the class on a higher level than most profs at CSUN and expects that you will be intelligent enough to understand his vocabulary and if not, gutsy enough to ask him to explain.

He expects a lot from his students as far as the qulaity of their writing and the amount of reading. he's an excellent professor and if you can meet his expectations, you will do very well with him. he's also incredibly easy on the eyes!

He is very hot!!! and good to look at while listening to his lectures..As long as you visit him during his office hours and ask questions about something your confused about he will help you to understand!!!Trust me...

For an older guy, definitely not bad looking. The first few weeks of class can be very intimidating, and when you get the questions for the first exam, don't freak out. In the end, he grades a lot easier than you expect.

i work for my A. but if you show up for class you will pass, you dont have to do the readings or really anything, he will give answers in class for all the tests, just pay attention. it easy to pay attention, hes not too bad on the eyes either!

Excellent teacher. He is hard and will make you think but gives you everything you need to succeed. He expects you to use critical thinking skills to pull it all together. Awesome teacher. If you read, come to class and use you brain you will succeed.

The material is hard, if you do the readings, hich are boring, he claifys everything in the next lecture. Likes to get students involved in the class, hard on attendence, but if you take really good notes and do all of the readings, you will pass the class. All tests are essay.

Seriously one of the best professors ever... Class is very easy to understand and provides review sheets that help immensely. As long as you study you are bound to get an A!!!! Very nice too and interesting as a person himself.

He is a great professor. He engages with the students during class discussions. Is very animated, which causes you to want to engage. Just use study guides and you will do well. Is willing to help as much as possible. Not hard at all. He is really handsome and has a great body as well!

Prof. K is a very good lecturer & is very local. He is very well prepared & knows his subjects. His Soc 401 class was more interesting because it was a smaller class & students were able to have more discussions. His tests are not difficult (you'd have to be a moron if you did not get an A or B). He is definately really, really hot!

The subject is incredibly boring and he uses really horrible analogies to help you understand it but the tests are easy and he is a really interesting speaker.

Stavros is a great teacher! He is funny and makes the lectures enjoyable. This class is easy and the subject matter relates to real life so it is not bad. I highly recommend taking this class with Stav.

Excellent Professor, passionate with his class material. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend this class for those that enjoy rich and complex expressions that he made them easy to understand.

Knows his stuff, yes but is also boring. Has a monotone voice, blah, blah blah, right? blah blah blah No? etc.. Would not say that he is really hard, esp. for Soc 303 not complex at all. Theory is a little more difficult, but ot impossible!,Do the readings and you should do ok, or else you fall behind and it gets confusing.

karageorgis is awesome a must take in the soc . department. Goes over everything you need to know for exams. only 1 paper n its about you and your family-very easy.....very easy going and u can get an A! YOU WONT REGRET IT

Lots of fun to take, and passionate about the material. Infectious way of loving what he does. Definitely recommended for those that have fun with sociology. Also, he's easy to approach, very knowledgable, and will spend time chatting the material with you outside of class. A great guy, overall. Highly recommended!!!

Passionate about his work. Not easy,but not hard either.

Love this professor. He is funny, active in lectures, and will bend over backwards to help you out. Very down to earth guy. Uses textbooks in class, and lets yuou know what he expects for the essays and exams provided. Great professor!

Good teacher!!! His lectures can be a bit too much at time but one of the best professors you can have at CSUN. Gives you either a take home essay or questions for a quiz in advance.

Ive taken him for his Family class, as well as his class/status/power class.. he is awesome... you will think this class is impossible at first, but he gives you all the questions and answers to the test a few days before, just memorize.. some essays here and there,, around 5 pages.. easy stuff i got 2 As.. TAKE HIM

do not pay attention to the comments below. He does NOT assign a reader every two weeks. He assigned 2 readers in the whole semester. He actually is a very fair and is not as hard as you think.Theory is complex, but IMO Extremely fair grader and generous esp. if you ask for help. Writes alot of comments but it's to help you.

Great professor,I cannot imagine anyone failing his classes. If you did then, it's your own fault.If you don't understand you could ask him for help, he is very easy to talk to.Higly recommended.

Great professor.Took him for Theory II. He's very nice, and willing to work with you if you have any questions. He assigns 1 or 2 readings the whole semesters.Take home Mid-term and Final.Easy grader. I missed alot of classes and still passed with an A-. Clear and very thorough lectures with comprehensive examples that help you understand it better

take him over the summer. tests are EASY! was able to use 1 page of notes (actually 2pgs) for first test easy grader. nice muscles to look at.i actually learned something. he does have a lot of reading during the semester which is why i took him over the summer, i didn't do much reading. great professor, take him you'll learn something!!!

The BEST professor in the world! He's great. If you need to take Theory II, he's the professor you wanna take it with. Easy, nice, and willing to work with you with any questions you might have.

Prof. K is awesome. His lectures can be challenging at times, but he will explain if you ask. Very bright and articulate. I will definitely take him again...PS: he's a pretty hot Greek man.

Professor K is awesome, very funny and smart. Tests are pretty straightforward and not too tough. Waiting lists for his classes are long, def one of the best soc professors here.

Theory is boring, and it isn't always straight forward. However, Prof. K does a good job answering questions and clearing things up. The only tedious thing about the class is that you have to attend because he takes role. I never read the book, FAILED my second test and ended up with a B in the class. Last exam is a take home! He's CUTE

I took this class during Summer 2007. A 15-week course crammed into 5 weeks and all I can say is that it was easy. Reading was hard, but he goes over it and clarifies. He really does his best to help you understand it. 2 in-class exams (1 essay, 1 matching) and take home final (3-5 page paper). Oh, and he is HOT!

Professor K is an awesome teahceris class is easy if you attend the classes and take the notes from the lectures....he does not grade hard but he does expect that you will do the work! The class can be an easy A if you are an organized student and you make the time to study for the class I got a B; but I had my ups and downs.

This teacher is one of the best teachers i've ever had. I highly recommend him.

Professor K is very well spoken and tries to explain the material in an intelligent manner. There is a good portion of reading involved but it is an upper division class so that is a given. If the students critically evaluate the readings it makes the class more interesting. He usually has 3 exams.1 is usually multiple choice, essay,take home.

I took professor K during the summer and although it was long hours, it was definitely worth it! He's funny and tries to make the material as interesting as possible. He gave us 3 exams which were not that hard. He's a cool professor... I recommend him =)

He is a cool professor, but his class is boring to death.. But is the easiest class that I have ever taken at CSUN. From time to time he will make the hilarious jokes, but still boring, though he knows what he is taking about, if you have a any questions he is more then willing to help. And there is no need to buy the books.

Had him, but i doubt he will teach this class again. Was so easy. The tests we already knew the answers to, but his lectures were interesting. Don't need to attend class, Do not need to read unless you want to participate, but very easy. He was funny too

Very easy class. Lectures are long as are his examples but you will remember the material. He gives you all the test questions and essay topics so book use can really be minimal though I would recommend at least checking it out from the library as he likes to reference case studies in the text.

He's a very loud guy! He's got his funny moments as well. Subject is kinda tough and not most interesting but he understands that it is so 1st exam, he is lenient. 1st exam, we were allowed notes, 2nd was multiple choice (which he helps with), & 3rd was take home paper. Class was mainly lecture even though seminar was included; he "combines" the 2.

Easy class, pay attention, sometimes boring, but can be very interesting at times, try using your textbook in class while he's lecturing and participate as much as possible to get an understanding of the subject. Sometimes funny :)

Took this class in Spring 2011. Theory is tough and, for me, boring. He provided two exams, and one written assignment. He understands theory isn't at the top of everyone's list so he does try to explain things as best possible. He was kind enough to review the exam on the class meeting before class which is a +. He speaks loudly to wake you up.

One of the best instructors at CSUN... Great instructor, he is funny, smart and always respectfull to his students... Classes might be long but he does his best to make it fun and you will do really well on the tests if you atted to class regularly...

He's a really good Professor. Reading is a bit confusing but he explains it during lecture. I highly recommend him because he's funny, caring and really good at explaining the book. I'm definitely taking him for theory II.

This professor is awesome when compared to the other professors for 368 or 468. Class attendance is mandatory because 20% your grade is based on participation. His exam questions(there are 4 of them) are given ahead of time, so you have plenty of time to get the work done. BTW the exams are take home for 368. Only problem is that he talks too much

It's a theory class, so most of us aren't into it. 4 essay exams all worth 200 points. Doesn't grade too hard. Just do it. Also go to class, it can save you all you have to do is show up. 200 points also.

Great professor just talks a lot. The lecture & seminar were the same thing, just him lecturing. Attendance is worth an essay, there are 4 pretty easy essays. Usually compare and contrast theoriesrist, I recommend you choose the essays that are just required you to know about one theory or one theorist. You need the book. He's so fine on top of it

He is very passionate about the subject. He tries to incorporate life examples, but he does lecture the entire time. There are no group projects. You'll get all your participation points by just being there. At first you may feel overwhelmed and confused, but trust me it's pretty easy if you just study and read. He's a really nice professor & hot!

The professor himself is very very funny and we'll go over material if you ask for the help. I'm not a great student and I passed with a C. The class involves A LOT of reading but I did the minimal and was ok. 1st test was kinda like an essay, 2nd was a match up of quotes & authors & 3rd was an essay. He's a great professor that I'd recommend.

Prof K is my favorite professor... to look at. He is a little hottie and he is super smart and funny on top. His class is easy, 3 papers that he grades very lenient on. His lectures are a bit long but I would just look at his chiseled arms and I sat through them. Definitely would take him if you are a girl or gay. Gawd he is fiiinne.

Besides being attractive, he is very intelligent & funny. His class was a positive environment even when we were dying through the long lecture&seminar, which is not his fault, the classes are just scheduled for so long but he tries to keep you awake and interested. 3 exams, no hw, grades well, I ended the class with an A in both l & s.

Best professor ever! Show up to class because attendance is mandatory. He's very lenient when grading exams. Also, it isn't necessary to buy the book. I never used mine for his class.

Best professor, hands down! If you are not into the theorists with a bare minimum you can pass this class, and if you are, read what he posts online, it is very helpful and will get you an easy A. Attendance is mandatory, worth 25% of your grade and essays topics are provided ahead of the time. Plus he is a such a hottie to look and listen to.

This professor was awesome in the sense of making the lectures, awekening and not too boring. He is straight forward with the test exams,and gives you everything on moodle to worth ahead of time. I came to class each day and really help with my grade final. I was a better critical thinker on sociology theories. My favorite was durkheims theory.

Professor k is so interesting. His lectures are extremely boring, but the 3 exams are essay based. Bring coffee because you will fall asleep in his class. He is an easy grader on the essays.

For theory I there are 3 essay exams. He explains what he want near the exam date. Listen to him and you will pass it helped when I recored he lecture because sometimes he talked too fast. Great professor I will take him again!

Professor K can be a bit boring, however he is kind&bit funny. Don't buy the book as he provides links to the readings. You don't always have to read *hint* you guys will go over the study guide together. Just make sure he does so w/ enough time to study.2 test 35% each& attendance 30%, I wish he gave us a couple free days to miss but he doesn't.

Professor K is super knowledgeable and interesting. For being half awake for an EARLY Saturday morning class- I was thirsty to hear more about theory. He explained the text and simplified it so it was very understandable. He also challenges you to think deep which is enjoyable. 3 essay exams, and show up to class/ participate and you'll do well.

I took this professor for Soc 410: Urban Sociology. The class consists of a midterm, final, and attendance/participation. For the midterm and final he provides you with the test and answers beforehand so its just about memorization. He was generous with attendance/participation. He is so nice, funny, and truly wants you to succeed.

TAKE HIM!!!!!! I didn't go the whole month of October and still got a B+. Hes a nice guy but likes to hear himself talk because he talks the whole class. No group work. No picking on people to answer questions. Just sit there and listen. 3 papers I wrote 2 full pages and got Bs all on them. He gives good feedback on papers.

3 exams, which two of them are papers. The papers are very easy and he provides all the resources needed for each prompt. His lectures are long and very boring.
