Prof. Zimmerman is very nice and very helpful. She gives out note packets before the start of every class and you go over the notes in class. The class is very easy and the workload is light. Just make sure you come to lecture and study the notes before the exam.

She is amazing, one of the best math teachers I have ever had. Took as a summer course and while the workload was high due to the shortened class length, it was still extremely do-able. She explains things very well and will help whenever needed. No curveballs on tests. I highly recommend!

Great professor! She makes sure to answer as many questions as she can, and if she is not sure about a problem, she will come back to it the next class period. A lot of homework, because it was a summer class. Does not try to trick you on exams. I wish she taught every math class at OU!

One of the best math professors I've ever had. I never used my book, but there was graded bookwork, it just wasn't worth a lot of points. I got a 3.2 in the class. Just go to class, lectures are very helpful, answers any questions, explains things as many times as necessary.

Zimmerman is a very helpful professor. She is very thorough on her lectures and the exams are on what is taught.

Professor Zimmerman is extremely helpful and always makes up for whatever the other Professors miss in their lecture period. She always replies to emails with advice, and is willing to do what it takes to help! GREAT PROFESSOR!!

Before taking this class I hated math, I couldn't understand it at all. Prof Zimmerman creates notes for everyone to download online and follow along to fill out during her lectures. This method worked wonders for me. There were quizzes every day, but if you follow the lectures and notes you'll do fine. I'm now considering majoring in math.

She was the best Professor ever. She taught the SI and made it so plain that I never attended the lectures. I got a 4.0 in the class, never thought I could but thank God for her.

SOO helpful. she makes homework mandatory but it's good because you really understand the material. she puts up review guides from past tests to help you. she explains EVERYTHING. i would recommend her in a heartbeat.

She is extremely clear and very helpful. Her notes are almost exactly what is on the homework, and there are never any surprises on the tests. Homework is worksheets, no book assignments. I didn't use the book at all. As long as you show up every day for the notes, and ask questions if you don't understand, the class should be a breeze.

Sherri is a great professor. Always tells you what is expected and offers extra credit when you see the tutor. She uses moodle frequently and has a typed section of notes for each lesson. The notes are helpful and the book is optional. Homework is graded kinda hard. Overall I would definately take her class!

She is a great teacher! Do not buy the book unless you are planning on doing practice problems. Must print off notes on Moodle. She gives a worksheet homework assignment for each section. Is very clear and helpful. She is easy to understand and a great teacher overall. I would highly recommend taking her for math.

Professor Zimmerman is an excellent professor, her homework is easy and the quizzes are pretty darn easy also. She's very nice and always helpful, always responds to e-mails and is an overall great professor. Would definitely recommend.

Probably one of the best math professors I have ever had. Do not take MTH 121 with anyone else. fully prepares you for everything, take advantage of the practice problems in the book, the homework problems and all of the extra credit, and the class will be cake.

Best math teacher at Oakland by far! If you get the chance to have her, take advantage of it. Had her for both MTH-122 and MTH-062 and did well. Great overall person.

I wish professor Zimmerman taught lecture instead of workshop! Her workshop is beneficial and she always posts answers to all of the tests and quizzes. She even posted answers to exams! I would totally recommend her because she helped me understand precalc a lot better than lectures. Try not to skip too much since it's only mandatory for quizzes!

This Human Being is Great, She cares about doing her job well and it shows, I would say that she is the best math teacher at OU and for everyone who needs math on OU's Campus she is a beacon of light and hope. I would offer to buy her a cup of coffee on the first day because she deserves it.

She is the best math professor at Oakland! I failed calculus in high school and then got an A in her class. Her notes, homework, and exams are all the same type of problems just different numbers. She does not throw any curve balls on the exam. If she is only available for the night class take her anyway, I promise you it is worth the grade.

Best math professor at OU! She is very helpful and her notes and lectures are crystal clear. This is my second time re-taking this class, she works very hard to help students, I've seen her post notes as late as 4 a.m. and then again at 8 am. She literally didnt sleep to make sure she helped the students prepare for the exam. Awesome professor!

Probably the best math professor at OU. This was my 2nd time taking this class since I had a horrible professor the 1st time. Her notes made the material really easy to understand. For a summer class the work load was perfect. She gives lots of partial points and extra credit. Only used the book for practice, test mostly looked like the review.

Sherry is an awesome professor who puts a lot of hard work into offering students the best chance at passing the class. She does lots of helpful examples and also posts her notes on moodle after class. This has been very helpful in my case as I either take notes or listen to lecture but not both. Amazing teacher.

She is a really good professor, although she does make a lot of mistakes. But you can tell she has a good heart and cares for her students. Everything you need is online. She's very quick to grade. She even came to class one day after being up all night because she wanted to hand us our tests back. Examsquizzes are like the homework. Buy the book.

Sherri is a great math professor. She follows the syllabus almost exactly. During my semester, there were 8 quizzes (2 of which were dropped) and 3 tests (not including final exam). Three free absences; gave extra credit. Use textbook for practice problems. No "homework", just practice problems.

An awesome professor. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. If you have to take a math class just as a pre-req for another course, I HIGHLY recommend you take Prof. Zimmerman. Myself & other students have emailed her for overrides to get into her class for next semester... she gives students hope.

Prof. Zimmerman was by far my favorite proffesor at OU this semester. She is very helpful and very good at teaching the subject at hand. I found it easy to understand what she was teaching and the tests and quizes were clear cut and were typically easier than the notes and homework. Homework is not required which is nice. Overall I wouldrecommend.

Easiest biology class i've ever taken. To much math involved, the zygotes were interesting. Ohh and you defiantly need to know the Pythagorean theorem and natural selection

I was worried about having a math class after years without one.. pft. Prof Z made it okay. her guided notes were a savior as it makes keeping up and learning while taking notes much easier. she's always open to questions and does her best to make you understand from multiple approaches. daily graded hmwk, but only a few Qs long. highly recommend.

I took her for both 121 and 122, so I'd suggest doing so if possible because her classes fill up. She is so nice and is understanding of people's limitations when it comes to math. She gives extra credit often. All notes and many practice tests are posted on moodle for your use. She wants you to pass and is available. Drops lowest quiz grade.

She is a smart professor, knows her stuff. Sign the attendance sheet and leave, you will be fine because all of her completed notes are posted on moodle. Don't need a textbook and the tests and quizzes are exactly like the reviews. Recommend highly and I'm not even that good at math.

She tends to talk in a monotone voice and goes rather quickly through the material. She gives a lot of homework but gives you at least a 4 day period to finish it. She also puts completed notes and solutions to homework after the class period so there's lots of study material to work with

She provides an outline for the daily notes which helps a lot! She provides so many resources and explains everything very well. She is very willing to help, and friendly. However she does seem to get frustrated with "that one kid" you have in every class who asks ridiculous questions constantly - but that is understandable.

Althought the Oakland math department is said to be difficult I found this class very easy. You have guided notes that you do in class every day with her and if you miss something she posts it all online. Quick worksheets for each section but gives you two class periods before it's due. 3 tests, few quizzes. Pretty Simple.

Great professor! Super smart also. Go to her office hours and she will help you. But, there is so much homework that it is almost unbearable! Do not take this class with many others classes or you will do horrible. She expects a lot! If you don't have many classes you'll love her, if you have other classes this class will be a nightmare.

She was very good at teaching the basics and telling us what we will need to know in the future. Her strong point was test and exam prep. She had great material online and in-class.

I probably could not have gotten through calc without taking this professor. If you put in the effort in her class you've got it made. Being able to earn credit for the homework was crucial. Her guided notes were so much better (simpler) than the textbook. Highly recommend!

Great professor. Gives guided notes that are helpful & posts them on moodle after. Actually, she posts everything on moodle which is very helpful! I would reccomend using WebAssign for homework. She gives homework after every set of notes and makes it due 2 class days after. Didn't use the book. Take her!

Prof Zimmerman was alright. I heard from many people that had her she was much better in other semesters/classes. She seemed very rushed and gave homework that often contained problems she never talked about. Math isn't something I can learn from looking at my book so I needed those examples. Also seems to forget not everyone took MTH 121

She provides guided notes, which are extremely helpful, and the homework is always similar to what is found on the notes. She's very clear in her explanations, and she reviewed well for tests. I would definitely take her again

Good teacher but she doesn't give much time for her quizzes and tests in my opinion. She is very organized and grades quickly. I wish she would have given more examples on how to do problems but her guided notes were extremely helpful. i definitely appreciated how organized she was.

Professor Zimmerman is the best math teacher I've ever had. She is a above and beyond with providing us all the material we need to learn. Do each homework on your own, study for tests, attend her office hours or tutoring if needed and I guarantee you will pass with flying colors. Thank you Professor Zimmerman for a great semester!

She scans all of her class notes and posts them online which is extremely helpful for homework (which there is lots of). She doesn't give a lot of time for tests and quizzes, but she tells you what she expects and follows through. Very organized, but also a little on the dry side.

We get homework every class and we had 3 tests and 1 cumulative final. She does take off a lot of points on things so get ready for that and her lectures are kinda boring

Professor Zimmerman is always very helpful and she makes it clear what you need to do in order to be successful in this course. She gives you all the tools necessary to do well, you just have to put the work in.

Class was pretty straight-forward. No quizzes, but homework was due almost every class period. The homework was not hard by any means, and she would answer any questions about it. Tests make up 500 out of 600 points for the class. She lectures from beginning to the end of class, but is very descriptive and helpful.

She was a great teacher. Math is not an easy subject to teach and she did a great job with it. She would go over several examples in the notes and then you would practice for homework You had a graded homework assignment each night. If you listen to her advice the first day, "to learn math, you have to do math" you will do fine. 3 tests and a final

Calculus is not an easy class, but she does a good job of teaching it. Lectures can be pretty dry and there is a lot of information thrown at you. It is best to do all of the practice problems to fully understand the material. There is homework due almost every class period, but there are no quizzes. Overall, a solid choice for math.

I worked hard in this class. Although math isn't my best subject, I managed to do better in calc than precalc. Shes a good teacher but the material is hard. OU has a terrible math department in general and shes one of the better professors. Shes likes if you go to office hours and answer questions in class.

She is nice, actually teaches us good material, and makes harder problems seem easy. Helps you whenever you need help and understands that math isn't the easiest thing on earth, but she does her very best to make it easier.

I ended up failing her class, but not because of Sherri. She sets you up to pass if you put in work - albeit a lot of work for an intro math class. Get the ebook and read the chapter before class, use her guided notes, study, and you'll be fine. Theres 9 quizzes (she drops 2), 3 exams, and a final that is written by the terrible math department....

Professor Zimmerman is the best professor I've had at OU so far. I had her for moth MTH 1221 and MTH 1222. Her class is very straightforward and her lectures are very easy to follow. She is clear and organized. Her review guides are exactly like the test. TAKE HER!

Easiest math professor ever! She created study guides for each exam, added an answer key to past exams, TELL YOU THE TYPE OF QUESTIONS ON THE EXAM, created a comprehensive review for the final, had 3 days of review for the final, had guided notes to follow in class, posted the key to the guided notes with clearer handwriting and extra information.

Professor Zimmerman is an incredible math teacher. As long as you do the homework and take notes on her lectures, you'll get stellar grade on the exams. The exams are very similar to the homework, so all you need to do is study the homework and the methods you used to solve them. If you need to take math take it with her.

This is my first time rating a professor but Professor Zimmerman deserves all the credit. I had her for MTH 1221 and MTH 1222 and I wish I could take her again. As someone who hates math and was never good at it, please take prof Zimmerman. She made everything so easy to understand but you also need to put in energy to understand it. Her notes were amazing and similar to the exams. She is dry but that also helped me to focus more on the material. I couldn't recommend her enough.
