A sincerely nice professor, young, and in general feels like a peer (except that he has a phd from MIT). Was his first semester teaching Data Networks, and will use a much easier textbook in future sections. Can be boring sometimes, and he gave very long and difficult homework problems. The final was not so bad, and the report helps your grade.

Instead, he calls it intro to computing, and talks about physics, calculus, chemistry and biology like they're common knowledge and anyone not following is stupid. He will give assignments on programs like MS excel, although helectures on DNA and algorithms!

His lectures are incredibly confusing with minimal explanations to help. Even for the more simple concepts he will end up explaining in a way that makes it way more confusing then it needed to be. His tests are absurdly difficult. Any high reviews are due to the fact that he curves test grades. Which shows are absurd the tests really are.

Saad is very intelligent but not a great educator. His lectures are subpar and often leave students confused. The major reason he has good ratings is because he curves well, but that shows how most students don't even understand the concepts they were supposed to have been taught in the first place. He lets undergraduate students grade his exams.

Professor Saad's class was not easy, but he really just wants you to learn as much as you can. The topics themselves are very complex and his lectures+slides make them easier to understand.
