best teacher ever
Super nice and helpful!!! She,s real friendly and makes history easy to understand and you get to learn about the regular people an not just the famous events. Plus you can do extra credit to help your grade.
Super easy, no homework ever, just take notes daily & only 2 tests, Midterm & Final.
Definitely take good notes in class. She doesn't take attendance but your grade on the test is better if you show up. The power points are on the website so you can go back if you miss class. You get a study guide but make sure you ask about what is important to know. Ms. Sanchez reviews with you. I'd take another history class from her again.
Sabrina is an extremely nice teacher and also very helpful. My first midterm turned out to be terrible, but in the end I passed with an A. Sabrina doesn't take attendance after the first week, but I highly recommend that you show up and take good notes. Her grading is also fairly simple and it's best to not procrastinate either.
SABRINA IS THE BEST TEACHER EVER. I despise history and this is the first time I've EVER actually learned and retained information. If you show up and take notes then you'll do fine in the class. She always answers emails super quick and is understanding. You won't regret taking her class.
Sabrina is a fantastic teacher. Because of my schedule, I had to miss almost all Wednesdays of her class, but she was fine with it and completely willing to work with me to catch me up. She knows a ton of information and shares it all, which actually makes the class very interesting. She's very sweet and wants students to succeed. Highly recommend
Sanchez was a very good teacher. There was no daily homework at all, and no textbook. If you miss class, it isn't easy to learn all the material. But as a teacher, she is very good, and is clear in her lectures, and makes them interesting. She speaks somewhat quietly, but it wasn't too bad overall. I definitely recommend her.
Don't be fooled by other reviews about Ms. Sanchez- she has a pre-judgmental bias towards students who don't sit in the front or don't see her during office hours (she told us). I barely got by with an A-, and I am a 3.93 student. A classmate and I worked on an assignment together and wrote the EXACT same thing. I got an 8/10 and she got 10/10.
I don't suggest that you take this class if you don't like to talk. This class requires a lot of participation points. Sanchez is a great teacher, I can tell that she really cares a lot about her students and their ability to be successful. Although, I would have to agree with the review below me. She is a picky grader.
Some of the good things about this teacher are helpfulness, clarity, and knowledge. She is an expert and knows her lectures in great detail. On the other hand, if she doesn't like you, you might be in trouble (grade wise) (I agree with the comments below). I have a 4.0 GPA and I study hard for every class I take. This was my first A-
Let me just say that half the class didn't even show up during the quarter.
Sanchez knows what she is talking about. Her lectures are pretty informative, but they can get boring. No textbook required. However there's a lot of work. 4 essays, 1 small presentation, 1 midterm, 1 final. I just barely got an A in her class (thanks to some extra credit). Overall, pretty good professor
I was really happy with this class especially since history is not my best subject at all. You have to write essays and you have to talk for participation points. I was worried about the writing but Ms. Sanchez was extremely helpful with me and took extra time to help explain things to me until I understood it. You get a study guide for tests.
Sabrina is the best history teacher ever! She makes it fun and interactive. I never wanted to learn about history until I took her class she is awesome. Gives your grade almost straight away!
Same Sabrina Sanchez as the one in Texas. Really nice & helpful. 2 essays on 2 small books, 20 minute research presentation, midterm, final. Weekly discussion on assigned readings-don't take if you aren't comfortable speaking. Midterm and final are pretty easy if you take notes. No textbook! Spent ~$25 for class materials. Offers extra credit. EZ A
Don't take this class if you are a history major and are intent on going into history for your career. This class is so easy and you will not get much out of it. No supplementary textbooks are used -- only two primary sources you will write essays on. Waste of time.
I found her class boring and uninteresting. Her class is just full of powerpoint presentations. She wasn't "interactive" like some people have said unless you consider reading 2 primary sources and answering questions in small groups interactive. She is easy, but her grading scale is totally off. 2 points can bring you up or down a letter.
She is literally the best teacher ever! She is super clear in what notes you need to have and she always makes sure she clears anything up if you are confused. Take her!! You won't regret it. Easy class if you go every day.
I LOVE HER!!!! Amazing and interesting class.
Ms. Sanchez was overall a pretty great instructor. Her lectures could be a little dry, but they were informational and she had group discussions every week to mix things up. Not too hard but required you pay attention, she also joked around a lot which lightened things up. I would recommend her.
She read off her PowerPoint slides and was not interactive. Having paid an arm and a leg for this class, I expected something more, but I "learned" only what my high school history teacher already covered. Minimal assignments also, which did not contribute to my learning. Some topics, such as Aztec sacrifice, were also academically off-topic.
Very KIND professor who sympathized with my family emergency mid-quarter when I needed to rearrange a lot of work. I needed extra support to get back on track and Mrs. Sanchez took the time for me.
She is the best teacher, easy B+ she has a 7-9 page project due at end of semester and you need to read the reading ever week for a discussions on Fridays and if you don't want to speak you could just talk to her after class and answer 2 question for credit. she let you do lots of extra credit and you also have TWO LATE PASSES!!!!!!! TAKE HER!!!!
TAKE HER SHE GREAT AND EASY TO PASS YOU GET TWO LATE PASS (HELLYEAH)
Favorite teacher at BC! She is so kind. Sabrina provides a lot of useful information in her lectures and answers questions in the best way. She is so organized. Just take her. She is great.
I took Mrs. Sanchez's class two years ago, and I still think back to these classes and how much fun I had in them. I personally believe that you will do better if you try to make a relationship with her (You're more likely to go to class and try). I definitely recommend her. Not very hard, but you learn just as much and retain more. Very nice.
Sabrina is an amazing instructor, if you need help shes there. There is a group project that's worth most of your grade.
Dr. Sanchez is extremely organized and clear in both assignments and lectures. She grades fast and replies to emails quickly and helpfully. If you want to get an A and will actually try and work for it, you WILL. Extra credit and late passes are given. 2 tests, 1 paper, 1 presentation, pop quizzes, and weekly readings + discussions.
Ms Sanchez was such a nice teacher She made the class so interesting and easy to understand and gave the best feedback with many extra credit opportunities Hope to have her again some time.
By far my favorite class taken. Lectures are so clear and helpful and also very interesting. I actually looked forward to coming to class. Only tests are a midterm and final 25 questions all multiple choice. Little activities here and there and a group project. Very easy. Awesome teacher.
An easy teacher for the most part. Kind and very helpful. Assignments are clear and there are many opportunities for extra credit.
This class was a lecture based class, she flips through power points on most of the days when we don't have class discussions or midtermassignmentsfinal. Her power point lectures can get a bit boring and long but other thank she's a really caring nice teacher and i would defiantly recommend taking one of her class!
Dr. Sanchez is one of Bellevue's best history professors. Lectures and power points make up the majority of class time, but there are also readings, a few essays, and weekly reading discussions. She's extremely helpful and has convenient office hours. Responds to emails quickly too. Took her 146 last quarter, and am taking her 147 course right now.
Dr. Sanchez is an amazing professor! I took AP U.S HIST in high school and it was so boring. But Sabrina really brings history to life and makes her lectures fun. She's always 100% clear on grading and offers extra credit. I would take her again for any history class.
Take HIST w Professor Sanchez! She makes lectures interesting which is rare because history isn't always fun. She was more than an educator for me. Prof. Sanchez helped mentor me in the right direction when picking a career path & reminded me to work hard for the future that i deserve. A teacher who encourages you to chase your dreams is AMAZING!!
Easy A if you're willing to put in the effort. Her lectures are super clear, but you might have to finish taking notes from the ppt (posted on canvas) after class. The midterm was only 25 multiple choicetrue false questions. The final was also 25 MCTF questions and it WASN'T cumulative. Group project and 2 in class essays were easy. Extra credit!
Mrs. Sanchez is an incredible teacher! I struggled in the beginning of the quarter, (history isn't my strong suit) but she helped me A TON during office hours. I would definitely recommend her, her lectures are super interesting & she's a great person overall. You do have to work for your grade, but she helps you through it! I would take her again!
I really enjoyed taking History from Dr. Sanchez! She gave plenty of extra credit options and there were only 2 tests (midterm and final) and the only work we had was for the final paper and weekly discussions. In class we usually just had lectures. I don't generally enjoy history but she made the class enjoyable.
There's a difference between having a great personality and being a great teacher. This class was incredibly easy and added no value to my education. There were two assignments based on scarce primary sources. This course will not help you be a history major, nor will it help you succeed at getting a history degree at 4-year university.
Absolutely loved Sabrina's class! She is always there for you. It was my first US History class ever because I wasn't born in the U.S. However, she was really nice and helpful through out the quarter and helped to get an A. Responds to emails quickly and an easy grader as long as you follow requirements. Currently taking her 148 course
Really sweet +understanding! She teaches with passion and she genuinely cares about students. I strongly recommend her. Her power points and lectures are very clean and clear.
My first history class at BC so can't compare to the other history teachers. Picky grader, lots of work for an A. There is about 2-3% worth of extra credit so don't fall behind if you want an A. Overall decent class, quite a bit harder than most reviews say. Only two tests, but also research paper, book essay and book review assignment.
She is so sweet and laid back! I had very little homework from her class, there was only one group project and two essays alongside two multiple choice tests. We did not have a textbook, only a reading book that one of our essays revolved around.
Sabrina Sanchez is my personal favorite teacher! I took her class twice and in both there was only only two tests, midterm and final, both are only questions from her lectures, not hard. As well as one paper that you work on for the whole quarter, easy grader. She is very supportive and helpful when you are struggling.
I took an American history course online over the summer with her. The class was easy. I had an essay, quiz, and discussion due once a week. Her online lectures are very good, she basically records herself along with a powerpoint presentation. I would recommend her for this course.
this class was honestly the easiest thing in the world but theres alot of work. Sabrina is the nicest teacher ever and she really cares about her students. Its an easy A
Sabrina gives the best lectures. For the most part if you show up and listen to her talk, then you'll pass. If you listen to her lectures you can pass her tests. There's no textbook requirement, but she has readings for you to do every week. Take her class, you won't regret it.
Her lectures are amazing so if you take notes, you will pass the tests. She is a great grader because she understands our needs. I really liked her and the class. Be prepared to talk in class, you will have to participate in discussions. Overall, she is an awesome teacher and seems like she enjoys teaching and helping students.
She's really nice, can help you whenever you need it, class work is definitely there but 100% doable (even at the last minute for me). I took it ONLINE and the assignments were very clear. Online lectures are about a half hour on average and are pretty interesting, discussion and essay topics are interesting. Take her! No final or midterm (online).
Fun class. She assigns readings every week and you have to participate in class discussions and one time you have to be one of the leaders of the discussions, but unless you're one of the leaders it's pretty easy to fake it and still get credit. Not a lot of homework, but take notes during the lectures. Tests are easy if you pay attention.
I took the online course of this subject. It was superbly easy! Do not procrastinate to the last minute because you will not finish in time! You only have to do 4 modules out of the 6 and each is due every 2 weeks. This includes essay, quiz, and a discussion post. Enough time to finish at least 2!
To do well in her class you need to be on top of things. One quiz, one discussion, and one essay due every two weeks. I am a terrible writer but I got at least a 45/50 on every essay. If you have any questions you can always email or see her and she makes things super clear. Overall a really good teacher and I highly recommend her online class.
Sabrina is a really awesome teacher. She is a really organized teacher. This is especially good if you are taking her history class online because it's really simple for you. Expect to write four 1,500 word essays.
Easy/fair grader. Assigns long readings for discussions and essays (4 essays, 4 discussions, and 4 quizzes). Online lectures are interesting and average about 30 min per. Be on top of the work, you need at LEAST 4 days to finish one module. Answers all questions very well. Gives E.C. Definitely did not regret taking her online. She's great!
I took this class over the summer and if you are going to take a class over the summer quarter HIST&146 with Professor Sanchez is a good pic. She allows you to complete the course as quickly as you want/are able, though there is a minim work that has to be completed each week. She is very helpful and a clear grader.
Sabrina's online classes are the most organized classes I have taken, and I've taken 10+ online classes. She is very fair at grading, got an A for both classes I took. There is a module to finish every 2 weeks: each has a set of lectures (1-2 hours) plus a quiz, discussion with reading, 5-page essay with a long reading. Just don't procrastinate!!!
She was organized and clear with her expectations of the class. Her structure was different than what I have normally taken but I worked really well. The 6 module pick 6 method gives even more flexibility to the online class. No final exam but the thing that got me was the papers. I'm a weak writer but I made it and I highly recommend her.
1. Does not require a textbook 2. Gives 6 modules but you'll only need to complete 4 3. Each Module: 1 essay, 1 original post, 1 reply to a classmate's post, 1 quiz 4. Quiz is out of 25 points 5. Class is out of 425 points so careful 6. Easy grader! Lowest essay grade was 46/50 and I suck at English 7. GIVES GREAT FEEDBACK 8. READ THO
Really liked Sabrina!! She was super sweet and obviously cares about history... gives you all the readings so she doesn't make you buy a book. Study for the tests and pay attention to her lectures (she puts questions on test that weren't on powerpoints). TAKE HER SHE GIVES EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES!
Sabrina is amazing. I have always hated history until I took it with her. Even though it was online, I learned a lot. Her video lectures are interesting to listen to, and she's very understanding.
Awesome teacher! 6 modules, only need to do 4, each has a 25 question multiple choice quiz, 300 word discussion post with a 150 word reply, and a 1000 word essay. Her feedback is awesome, and she responds to questions quickly and explains everything in depth. Wish she taught more classes so I could take her for other GenEd stuff.
Just awesome. She gave great feedback on what she wanted in essays, and assignments, and quickly graded them. She responded to emails super fast, and was super understanding with any concerns I had. I really wish I had taken her for all my history classes.
Weekly- 1 discussion post 300 words, 1 comment to classmate 150 words, 1 essay, 1 quiz. For the quiz you have to watch about 2 hrs worth of videos that she makes TAKE NOTES OF THEM. For the essay you have to read some stories worth few chapters. For the discussion you read as well but not as much as for the quiz. Lets you work ahead in modules
For this class, she gives you 6 modules and you have to do 4, which makes it so you can have a lot of free time. The modules are reading for 500 word discussion post, 300 word discussion reply, reading for 1500 word essay, PowerPoint lectures, and then a 25 point quiz. Its a lot, but you have 2 weeks to do it. She does grade pretty easily though.
Amazing teacher. She lets you pick four modules out of six. Her lectures are fantastic and by far the best history teacher i've ever had. There's enough time between the due dates you can take days off unlike other classes. If you start the module early enough the homework is not bad. Pacing it out is key.
Professor Sanchez is one of the best history teachers Ive ever had. She is very sweet and caring about her students. The work is average and nothing to whine about. Im taking her again for winter quarter! Also her history 185 is absolutely amazing, her lectures are amazing. if you have the chance, DO take it!
HER VOICE IS SO CALMING. I have always struggled In history but she is amazing at talking in a way someone who can't keep up with fast pace understands. She makes history seem more like a story. I didn't put a lot of effort in and still got an A. She goes straight to the point. She lets students interoperate history not just quote book.
I love Sabrina! Her online History class is graded by modules; you have to finish 4 out of 5 (each have a lot of workload required), but she's an easy grader and you can go at your own pace! She's really strict when it comes to deadlines; she doesn't accept ANY late work. Her class is an easy A, as long as you do the work, you'll do fine!
I took her online class, and you just had to complete 4 out of the 6 modules, so completely self-paced. Each module was a lecture, a quiz based on the lecture, a discussion based on a reading, and a 1500 word essay on another reading. Overall, excellent professor, she was very helpful if I got stuck. Definitely recommend!
a great instructor. she is very knowledgeable. follow her instructions to get a good grade. the instructions are easy and beneficial for you.
This class is great for working on your own schedule, there are five modules each with lectures plus quiz, a discussion with reading, and an essay with reading. All of the content is available at the start of the quarter so you could potentially finish everything right away and be done with the class.
Dr. Sanchez is a fantastic professor. She gives fantastic, energetic lectures. She is very helpful, warm, kind, and helpful to students. Her grading standards are clear and fair. Overall fantastic.
Sabrina is a real gem. She actually makes history interesting to learn. In the online course you only have to do 4 out of 6 modules. Each module has a couple audio lectures, a quiz on the lectures, a 500 and 300 word discussion post, and a 1500 hundred word essay. You have a lot of time to complete everything, and she checks in every week by email.
Her class was amazing! Her lectures were all interesting, and the work required was not too much. There was a discussion for each module, and an essay. Each module was 2 weeks apart, and you only had to do 4. She gives great feedback and wants students to succeed!
This class was amazing. There's 6 modules but you only need to do 4. I took this in summer but I still had 1 week to complete each module and that was plenty of time. Quizzes are super easy. The lectures are all you need to ace them. The discussions and the essays are easy as well. All of the modules are open so you can finish them all in 1 day too
Sabrina was super nice! Her lectures were very informational. Exams were easy and she'll give so much support and extra resources for you to excel. Definitely an easy A. Take this class because it was interesting and Sabrina was definitely a pure gem :)
Sabrina Sanchez was an awesome teacher! I took her online history class and loved it. The lectures are all on power points with audio recording behind them and they are fun and interesting with lots of pictures. You only have to do 4 out of the 6 modules for the class and there are only 4 essays for the whole quarter. Highly recommend!
amazing online history teacher, you just have to do a 1500 word essay, a 500 word discussion, 300 word reply and a 25 question super easy quiz in 2 weeks. The quizzes are super easy and the worst score I've gotten on one is 23/25, you can literally do everything in 1 day if you grind, and all the modules are unlocked from start so you can be done
I know my tags seem like this professor is tough but she teaches well. There are lecture videos, 2 primary sources, a discussion post, reply, and an essay every two weeks. She releases all modules at first so there's no final and you can technically finish the class early. Everything but the essay was an easy A. Workload is reasonable.
6 total modules, but she only requires 4 of them to be completed. Each module consists of: a 1500 min. word essay, a 500 min. word discussion and a 300 min. word reply, and a quiz based on the lectures (videos with PowerPoints). All due every other Sunday. She's an easy grader, and her lectures are easy to follow/understand. Gives good feedback.
There were a total of 5 modules and at the beginning of the class, she tells you that you only have to complete any 4 of the 5 modules. In the modules, there will be multiple powerpoint videos where you take notes, one quiz, 500 word discussion, 300 word reply, and a 1500 word essay. Just make sure you get a good grade on your quizzes!
Best online professor ever. Course-load is perfect and you can do everything on your own pace. I only worked on this class on the weekends and I ended up with an easy A.
I took this as my first online class ever, and Ms. Sanchez made me feel comfortable using Canvas. There are six modules, and you get to pick the four you complete. In each module there is a 1500 word essay, a 500 word discussion post with a 350 word response, and 25 question multiple choice quiz. Don't procrastinate and you'll be fine. She is kind!
Sabrina is honestly one of the kindest professors that I've ever met. Not only does she make her class more engaging and fun, but she also doesn't grade too harshly. Her hybrid class did make me invest more time into school than i usually do but it doesn't matter because what she wants is effort. This class isn't stressful at all. Give her a shot.
Great audio lectures for lessons, she teaches well and easy to understand material. Expects 4 out of 5 modules of work to be done of choice. Enjoyed this class because of this Professor.
Sabrina is awesome! You can tell she really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Her online class is set up to where you get to choose 4 out of the 5 modules to complete and each one consists of lectures, 1 quiz, a discussion, and an essay. Her tests can be a bit hard but she offers a fun project for extra credit. I love her class!
I love Sabrina! She is so kind to her students and gives great feedback. I've taken 2 of her classes and I hope to take more. Her test questions can be difficult sometimes but not too bad. She offers a fun extra credit assignment too. Highly recommend!
Kind feedback, friendly and supportive about any question at all. Knows her subject and is excited to teach and share it. Organized, easy to understand videos and lectures. Great materials. Methodical, good work load with equitable deadlines. A++++ Would take again!
Got all essays back really fast with good feedback! You get to choose any 4 out of 6 modules, and there is one due every two weeks on Sunday night. She answers questions quickly if you have any and explains assignments clearly so you know exactly what to do. Overall, amazing lectures and professor. Would definitely take her again. Has extra credit
Took online over summer. Only had to do 4/6 modules, which consist of about 2 hours of video lecture and a quiz on it, a discussion post on a reading and a 1000 word essay on a reading. Class was interesting and there was no political bias from prof. Clear expectations, and easy grader. Would recommend.
Shes perfect. The class is beautifully organized, expectations are clearly stated, the resources are varied. She replies to emails in a reasonable time. Everything about the class is straightforward and wonderful and perfect.
Sabrina is one of the most caring teachers I've ever had. Her lectures were interesting and the hybrid class had discussions due a certain day every week (forgot the day). She just wants you to understand the material. She gives you an idea of what would be on the midterm and final, so take as much notes as you can in class. Final paper as well.
She's VERY understanding and a good lecturer. 3 written exams but if you take good descriptive notes you'll ace them. She gives the questions beforehand so you can prepare yourself with 1 notecard. You'll have to read The Slum but you can check it out at the library. First six weeks have discussion posts + 1 reading per week. Gives extra credit.
Great teacher! Her lectures are very clear, her class is not homework heavy, and she is a very kind person. She always takes questions and has never gotten mad.
I hate history but I love her class. There is a lecture pretty much everyday and you just take notes but the lecture is super clear and pretty interesting. Every week there is a 500 word minimum discussion and 250 word reply but she grades it super easy. Besides that pretty much no homework
Sabrina is amazing!! Her online class is well laid out, and she truly cares about her students. As long as you dont procrastinate your good! You have to take a quiz, do a discussion post, and write an essay for each module (one module is due every other week). Best teacher Ive ever had and if you put the work in, you will do amazing!!
Sabrina is so sweet!! Her online class was super nice as we only had to complete 4 out of the 5 modules. She gave good feedback and graded everything super quickly. I definitely recommend this class because she makes history interesting!
super easy. 6 modules ( lectures + quiz + discussion post + essay ) only need to do 4. I did every essay the night before and got an A. Only worked on the class on weekends and did greeeeeeeeat
Her lectures are genuinely so interesting and her assignments are fair. She gives a little amount of homework in only 2 weeks but don't wait till the last few days to do them like me! She also is a great communicator and understanding, I can tell she cares alot for her students and history :)
In one word: Amazing! The best online class Ive ever taken. 4 modules to complete and she grades fairly. He lectures are so interesting. I enjoyed her class and definitely recommend it.
Great professor, the only drag about this class is there are lots to read, this class consists of 5 modules you get to choose 4 to do, a quiz, a discussion, and 1500 essay for each module. Discussion reading can be hard to decipher and chapter readings for essays are about 20 pages, if you put in enough effort in this class it will not be too bad.
She's really kind and understanding. Lectures are great & you can learn a lot from them. A decent amount of work, but definitely doable within the time constraints. Definitely worth taking her class.
She gives out a reasonable amount of homework. There are 5 modules to choose from and you only have to choose 4. Every two weeks there's a discussion & reply, quiz, and an essay due. For the discussion and essay, you have to do readings, and for quizzes, you have to watch lectures. You can email her whenever you're confused. She sends out reminders
I took US History I with Sabrina, and she is a wonderful professor! COVID forced me to endure my first online quarter, but Sabrina was kind and extremely helpful! She gave feedback whenever I asked for it! Wonderful professor to have, and would definitely recommend!
One of my favorite Profs. She is so nice and has a lively spirit. The class structure is amazing, gives you more than enough time to complete each module. No midterms or anything like that. If you put the effort into your essays and answer all the questions, you'll be bound to get an A. Highly recommend her.
Sabrina is a SUPER helpful teacher. If you have a question she will respond with an in depth, helpful answer. Although her History class contained a lot of reading and writing, it is freestyle and you can complete 4/6 modules anytime you want during the quarter. No zooms. There is 3-6 lectures, a quiz, 2 discussion posts, and essay each mod.
I loved Professor Sanchez! I hate History but her class made it so interesting and fun. I took her class asynchronously. Her lectures are so interesting. You only have to 4/6 Modules to pass. Each Module has a lecture with an opennote 25 multiple question quiz, source reading and discussion post, and a primary source essay. 2 weeks to do ea module
Sanchez is an incredible teacher and how she teaches content makes it so much more captivating than a traditional history class. Although I learned American history before, I had far greater takeaways from this class than any other. Every 2 weeks you will do a 2-hour lecture (change speed to 1.75) + quiz + discussion + essay.
Ms. Sanchez was a nice teacher. Her class was 6 modules which each consisted of 4-5 lectures/videos, 1 quiz, a 500word discussion post and reply, and a 1,500-word essay. The essays were kind of a lot and the sources were long but she is available to meet and talk about them. Only need to do 4/6 modules and NO FINAL so once you finish 4 your done.
do 4/6 modules. there is still a timeline but you don't have to adhere by it, just turn in everything by the deadline. Watch lectures, take a super easy quiz, do some reading make a post then reply to someone, then some more reading and write an essay. Same format for all of the mods. Extra credit. Replies to emails quickly and is willing to help.
Pretty easy class, as others have said just need to do 4/6 modules, each one has a simple essay (don't stress it, just show you know the content), easy quiz, and discussion. In terms of content it was a decent overview of the time period, but not really in depth. Focused little too much on some areas that weren't as interesting, or important.
Sabrina was an amazing professor to have online. Her lectures are very interesting but prepare to spend some time on them in order to take notes(some modules are longer). I recommend getting finished with the 4 modules asap so you can focus on other classes (especially around finals) She's a pretty easy grader and quizzes are easy w notes on hand.
Amazing woman! She had pre recorded lectures which were so interesting and used a module system so that you can do your work on your own time. If you're not really into history, she is great because she will make you love it. If you ever have questions, she answers quickly as long as So kind and generous, and if you work hard, good grades are easy
Sabrina is incredible! Her pre-recorded lectures were so interesting and engaging, and she was incredibly kind and helpful. There is a lot of material to read for discussions and essays, but it's all doable and insightful. She's a reasonable grader, and gives good feedback. She's one of the best profs ever, and I hope to have her again someday:)
I never enjoyed history classes before. Until I found myself writing down every single word from her Sabrina's recorded lectures. Her feedback is extremely helpful, she is truly passionate about her subject. One of my favorite teachers. There are 5 modules, you choose which 4 you want to complete. Please take her, you will NOT regret!
One of the BEST teachers I've taken at BC! The class has 5 modules. Each module has lectures (usually 25 min- but u can take a break whenever), a quiz, discussion, and a short essay of 1500 words. She is so sweet and caring and cares about you as a person. Highly recommend!
best professor I've ever had.
She is an easy grader, super nice, this class has there 5 modules (you pick the 4 you want) each module has a quiz, discussion, and essay. The readings are not long at all, and the assignments are easy. I recommend her to running start students who is taking this class because its a requirement for high school and to people who dont like history.
Sabrina is such a great professor! I loved her reading because she chose not just one topic but many to read from and she gives great feedback! I had to take this for my running start class and I wish she would teach more classes.
You only need to do 4/6 modules for this course, so you can be done with the class long before the quarter actually ends and study for other classes, each module has a 1500 word essay, 500 word discussion post with a 300 word reply, and a 25 question quiz. Easy grader, replies fast. Manage your time well and you'll be okay. Great lecture videos!
Professor Sanchez is really prioritize turn in homework on time, but if you missed one of her module she could give you some chances to make it up. I think her class is pretty easy to take it because she post videos about the module and is very clearly to understand the lesson, and there are a lot of reading in this class as well but not so bad.
Absolutely amazing teacher, one of the best I've had a BC
Rubrics were a little intricate, hard to follow. Very clear speaker, easy to follow along with. Only recorded lectures, no live interaction. Did not share PowerPoint presentations on Canvas that would have been helpful in following up the lectures. I learned a lot in this class.
Professor Sanchez was great. Her lectures were easy to understand, informative and a perfect length. I spent a lot of time listening and taking notes, which made the quizzes fairly straight forward (some quiz questions a little tricky). The reading was very manageable for the Summer Quarter. I'm glad I took this course, I learned a lot!
She was so nice and her lectures were very enjoyable. you can tell she has a lot of knowledge on the subject and she explains things very clearly. each module has lectures, a quiz, a discussion, and an essay. Theyre all pretty easy and straight forward as long as you watch the lectures and manage your time well. I loved taking her class!
I would definitely recommend taking from Sanchez if you get the chance. She grades fast and gives good feedback, but she doesnt accept late work. She lets you do 4/5 module or units each with a quiz, lectures, discussion, and essay. You have two weeks off at the end of the quarter and a two week break when you skip a module. Offers extra credit.
Amazing teacher, just ask questions, she will literally revise your thesis Structure of class: 5 modules made up of video lectures (long), discussion post and reply (500 and 300 words she just wants to see if you understand), multiple choice quiz and 1500 word essay 4 Modules required with two weeks each Just start early and you'll do great
Amazing professor! Gives very thorough feedback and very fast grader! The class was structured as 4 modules with 2ish hour lectures and quiz, a short reading and discussion post and then a longer reading and a paper for each. The class was self paced, so you could literally finish all of the work on the first day if you wanted. Lots of extra credit
Although this class wasn't for me since I don't enjoy history that much, it helped me learn a TON. There are 5 modules, you only have to do 4. Each module has 3 assignments that you need to complete in two weeks; a quiz, a discussion post, and an essay. The class is very lecture heavy and you need to take notes if you want to do well on the quizzes
4 modules, two weeks to complete each module. 1 true false quiz based on lectures. 1 discussion post based on reading 500 words + 300 words reply. 1 essay based on reading 1500 words minimum.
You have to complete 4 out of 5 modules which each contain a discussion, multiple choice quiz, and a long paper based on a primary source she provides. lots of work but she grades pretty easy as long as you meet all requirements.
I really enjoyed the lectures, she grades softly, and you learn a lot. My only complaint is the 1500 page essays are not fun, there isn't really enough material to write 1500 words about so I feel like I spent a lot of it summarizing and not really writing about the sources.
Need to complete 4 modules, you have 2 weeks to complete each one. In the module, you have a lecture and then you take a 25 question quiz. Then you also have a reading that you complete and write a 500-word discussion along with a 300-word reply to someone else's. Lastly, you have another reading but for this one, you write a 1,500 paper
Sabrina’s class was not too hard not too easy she made it easy to get a good grade as long as you knew what you were doing I recommend her as a professor
Sanchez was very nice and considerate. In total there are four modules you have to complete over the course time, each module requires 1 500 word discussion and a 300-word response to a peer's discussion, 1 1500 word essay, and a 25 question quiz on the lecture videos. Just take notes on the videos and you'll be fine!
Best teacher ever When i say this i mean it 100%, such a amazing and caring teacher. There are 6 modules the whole quester and you only have to finish 4 then you can be done with the course early! And you get to have 2 week to do each one! The lectures were lovely and she really cares for you to do well! If you get the chance take her! I would 100!
Sabrina really is an amazing teacher. She gave us 5 modules for the quarter and you were only required to complete 4 of the 5. It includes an essay, discussion post, and quiz and she provides you with lecture videos to take notes as well. Meet the requirements and you'll do fine. I really enjoyed having her and would take her class again!
Great teacher, what more can I say?
Her class was well organized and I actually found her lectures interesting. Self-paced, still deadlines though, so make sure you turn assignments in before then. Each module (do 4 out of 5 total) consists of lectures, a true/false quiz, a discussion, and a 1500-word essay. Essay requirements are clear. Recommend taking.
5 Modules every 2 Weeks, only need to complete 4 out of the 5 modules. Each module has: 1-2.5 Hours of Lecture Videos 25 Question MC/TF Quiz 500 Word Discussion & 300 Word Reply 1500 Word Essay Professor Sanchez is very organized and caring, with very clear grading criteria!
Completed her asynch HIST 148 class. 6 modules in the semester, complete 4 and you're done with the course! 2 weeks to complete each module, but manage your time well, the module takes time to complete. Each module has lectures, a quiz, 500 word discussion response + 300 word reply, and a 1,500 word essay. Responds to emails quickly! She's nice.
Doctor Sanchez is by far one of my favorite professors. I took Hist146 asynchronous. The class requires you to watch lectures, do a 25 question quiz, write 2 discussion posts, and an essay every 1-2 weeks. If you pace yourself well it's quite easy and you can be done with the course early. Very clear instructions, and she gives good feedback too.
1500 word minimum essay that we had every two weeks, it's scary, but she is a very lenient grader. I always did the essays on the day it was due and still got 50/50. You are given 6 modules, you are required to finish 4 of them. In those modules, you have a 25 question quiz and a few lectures, a 500 word discussion and 300 word reply. Have fun.
Sabrina was amazing! Like everyone else said, you choose 4 out of 6 modules so you can finish early if you want. Each module consists of lectures, quiz, discussion post and reply, and an 1500 word essay. Might be a little time consuming but overall wasn't that bad and was fairly easy. If you reach out to Sabrina for help she gives great feedback.
This was my first running start class and I loved it! If you took AP world this class is easy. There were 4 modules, 2 weeks each, included around 5 lectures given by her a 500 word discussion post and a 1500 word essay. It may sound like a lot but plz trust me DEFINTELY take this class especially if you need it for your 11th grade history credit.
The class is entirely online. There is a 1500-word essay, a 500-word discussion with a 300-word reply, and a 25-question quiz due every other week. The workload is very light and manageable. This class isn't something you should overcomplicate. Don't write 2500-word essays hoping to get a better grade. Even an essay with exactly 1500 words is good.
Dr. Sanchez is a great professor. All you need to do for her class is watch the lecture videos, which are just her talking over powerpoints. The class very easy. You don't need to worry about writing quality for the discussion or essay posts. Just meet the word count and take the W.
I love Professor Sanchez! She is so nice and grades things quickly. We only needed to do 4 out of the 5 modules for the entire semester. Her grading criteria is also very clear and she gives amazing feedback on the essays.
I took an async course with Professor Sanchez and she was very flexible! It was my first quarter at Bellevue and I struggled a ton. She was really understanding and willing to help. She seems like she really wants her students to pass! Her class structure is good and the work is manageable.
Amazing professor! If you are doing running start and need history credits, definitely take her. She is an easy grader and even though history is not my forte, this class was an easy A.
I'm not a history person at all, but Sabrina's lectures were so clear and easy to understand. Each module (due every 2 wks) has a few lectures which prepare you for a 25Q quiz; reading for the discussion posts (500wc for post, 300wc for response); reading for essay (1500wc). She is a reasonable grader and gives great feedback. 4/6 modules required.
Prof.Sanchez is probably the best history teacher at BC she made learning history way more simple and easy especially since I don't like history at all. Her lectures were very concise and clear, she responds to emails quickly and good feedback. course consists of 4 modules with (25pt quiz, DP 500 wc and essay 1500 wc)you can work at your own pace.
Literally the best professor I've ever had at Bellevue College. No finals and got to finish my class a few weeks early with the learning at your own pace option. I will 100% be taking another class with her.
she was the bane of my existence.
Really enjoyed class! Content: social aspects of history instead of facts to memorize Structure: engaging lecture, quiz, discussion post, and essay per 2 weeks: allowed to work ahead No essay feedback but left a comment on what was done well. Grading focused on content over details She sent weekly check-ins and graded 2-3 days after due date
Great professor overall, the lectures were engaging and the quizzes covered lecture material only. The assignments for every module (1.5-2 weeks each) are very straightforward. Be prepared to read because the readings can be long and difficult; I had to devote 10-15 hours every module to finish on time, but the material wasn't hard.
This professor is very easy, she give you a lot of time for assignment which I like. She also replies email very fast and give you good feedbacks and what she want from you. You have to read a lot but it's a very easy class.
She was an easy grader- long as you turn in your assignments and do the things in the rubric, you'll get a good grade. Good feedback on essays and is really easy to reach with a simple email. There were 5 units and only 4 were required. In each unit, there's an essay, quiz, and discussion post. Honestly, the essays are pretty easy so dw about it.
It was an online class and there is a LOT of work, but also if you wish you can finish the class early. It is very much at your own pace and it is A LOT of work but Professor Sanchez is not by any means an unfair grader so if you put the effort into the class and learning the material you will receive the grade you deserve.
Amazing and helpful professor, especially for an online class. Each module contains lectures, a discussion post, and an essay which was very manageable for me as a running start student. If you put in effort and time, she grades pretty easily.
words cannot express how much i love professor sanchez! one of my weaker subjects is history and she made it easily digestable. each module has lectures w/ a t/f quiz, 500 wc discussion post + 300 wc response to another student, & a 1500 wc essay. she's open to questions and usually responds to emails pretty quick!
I took her online class where the requirements were to only do 4 out of the 6 modules which were due every two weeks. Each module had the same assignments on different topics: 60-90 min online lectures followed by 25Q quiz on what you just watched then a 500 word discussion with a 300 word response and finally a 1500 word essay. Would reccomend!
She's amazing! Although it's about the same amount of work in a regular college class, she makes her lectures enjoyable and fun to participate. I would 100% take her classes again as she is perfect mixing in participation and learning while having us enjoy the class!
Had her online. Expectations for modules were very clear. Listen to a few lectures, take a quiz, write a discussion post & a reply, and an essay. Had two weeks for each module if you spaced it out and only chose 4/6. Lots of interesting source material. Only gripe is she gave me 48/50 on an essay with no feedback, basically just a "good job."
I loved her class. You only had to do four modules which were due every two weeks. Each module had an essay, a discussion post + reply, and a quiz on her lectures which were 140 minutes total. She responds quickly to emails and grades on time. My only grip is that she's a tough grader even with the rubrics and example she provides and I lost my 4.0
Great teacher! Gives good feedback that actually helps you in your assignments. 4 essays, 4 discussions, and very helpful video lectures (where she talks through them) over a 10 week class. Would definitely take again.
Asynch was nice! Very straightforward, and always offering to help. Not a lot of feedback given on the required essays and discussion posts, but super fast grader. Can't really get ahead too much, as you have to respond to a peer in your discussion posts for full credit. Communicative and picks interesting topics, albeit some readings are complex.
Sabrina was a great professor. Her expectations were very clear, and she grades fairly and quickly. As long as you put some amount of effort into the class, you'll be fine. It was hard to get used to how much reading the modules had, but once I did, it got a lot easier. I would definitely take her class again!
Even taking this course over the summer it was easy to complete. All expectations were clear and she graded fairly easy and fast so if you put in a little effort the class is pretty easy.
I took History 146 online, summer quarter. You need to complete 4 modules out of 5, each module includes a discussion post (300 words, 150 word reply to a classmate), 25 question quiz, and a 1000 word essay. The quiz answers come from recorded lecture. If you wanted to you could complete a module a day, super easy grader. Take Prof. Sanchez!
Professor Sanchez is an engaging and helpful instructor, whether online or in-person. The workload is manageable, and she's an easy grader as long as you put in the effort. unstuck AI was a great study tool to supplement the lectures and readings.
Lectures had pretty bad audio quality that hurt to listen to at times, the 4 required essays had basically little to no guidance so I had no idea what I was doing. If you hate writing, do not take this prof, as almost the entire class is watching lectures and writing essays. There's too little assignments to allow for any mistakes at all.
I really liked this professor, she was awesome with communication having taken her for a 100% online course. She always responds and reaches out to check in. The workload was pretty decent for it being online, but it wasn't anything insanely crazy and it felt like a work at your own pace, which I really appreciated. She was really awesome.
Her class has 5 modules available, 4 of which are graded. You're given about 2 weeks to finish each module given that you complete them in numerical order. Every module has a LOT of coursework. You have to do many readings and a 1.5k-word essay for each unit. She grades quickly, but her feedback is very brief. Her video lectures are long and boring
95% of the class are Running Start students. You pick 4 out of 6 modules, each with a 25-question quiz on ~90m lectures, a 500W post + 300W reply on a reading, and a 1500W essay on a longer reading, no late work. The writing sounds like a lot, but it's not bad. I hate history but this was genuinely an easy class and easy grading, I promise :D
She was a great professor! Responded quickly to emails, easy grader, and clear expectations. Class consisted of 6 modules 4 needed: 25 point quiz, 300 word discussion reply (5 point), 500 word discussion post (20 point), and 50 point essay (1500 words). Hard to stay on top of things, and to be motivated, and the essays were really long. Take her!
Sabrina Sanchez is the best professor for history! She is a super easy grader and a fast grader. She responds to emails fairly quick. There are 5 module you need to complete but she lets you skip a module. In each module there are lecture videos that you can watch on 2x speed with captions. Theres a small quiz, discussion post with reply, and essay
She is a great teacher and an easy class, the class is very well structured and is clear. She grades quite easily and has minimal assignments, highly reccomend.
I really enjoyed the course, however it is a lot of writing and the occasional reading. She had a very clear grading criteria, which I appreciated, but also was willing to extend deadlines if an emergency came up. Overall, the only downfall would be that there are very little things that she grades, so getting your grade up may be difficult.
Easy grader if you communicate and ask for feedback. Quizzes are all online and lectures. Most lectures took about 2 hours. You get 2 weeks to watch a lecture, do a quiz, and write an essay. Sabrina is super nice and understanding
I love Sabrina, mainly because of her ability to communicate clearly with her students. Unlike my other async professors, she provides detailed feedback, clearly lays out expectations and rubrics, and responds promptly to emails (even in the summer). You'll write a lot, which can be tough, but don't hesitate to reach out—she'll genuinely help you!
Great teacher for an intro history class, easy to get a good grade in. Very caring/understanding of situations. The class consists of 4 required modules, each with a couple of lecture videos, a quiz, a discussion post, and an essay. Modules last for two weeks. Light grading, lectures are easy to understand, paired with PowerPoint slides on screen.
Best. Teacher. Ever. Her lectures are compelling and her quizzes don't have ANY curveballs. 1 quiz (25 Qs??), 1 discussion post (350 words) + reply (150 words), 1 essay (1000 words) per module and you only have to do 4 modules—such a sweet teacher with amazing feedback. I highly recommend taking history with her! You will enjoy it!
Professor Sanchez was awesome. Truthfully I didn't do as good as I wanted to do because I procrastinated all assignments until the last minute, but if you take your time to do the assignments you'll be completely fine in terms of grade. All material that she taught was easy to understand, and if you just put effort in, you'll definitely get an A.
Lectures are informative, but the production quality is awful. The mic is scratchy and quiet, and when she played videos during lectures, it was so loud that my ears rang. You will need to write 4 1500 words essays, which are relatively easy as long as you're okay with bloating your writing. Also 4 500 word discussion posts, and 4 300 word replies.
Super Easy Class. You get to pick 4 modules out of 5 to complete and each contains 1 Quiz (25 Q), 1 Discussion + Reply (500 and 300 Words) , 1 Essay (1500 Words) , and you'll be given 2 weeks to complete. Easy and clear grading, and provides feedback when you ask her. Was super accommodating and supportive as well.
One of my favorite professors so far. Her class was difficult as far as the content goes, but she is a very easy and understanding grader. I would 100% take her class again.
Very flexible and always willing to help—answers questions quickly and clearly. The workload was manageable, and there wasn't much pressure around assignments. The focus was more on expressing your thoughts in essays and showing you understood the topic.
6 modules, only had to do 4. 500 word discussion post, 300 word reply, and 1500 word essay for each module. Separate readings for the discussion posts and essay, both than 5+ pages. There were also 3-5 40min recordings for each module with a quiz at the end. I would do everything on the same day. Took a good chunk of time, but it wasn't difficult.
Clear expectations/very manageable workload. Clear, short lectures w/ opennote quizzes. If you have good comprehension and don't rush readings (lots of interesting primary/secondary sources), you are golden for the discussions/essays; no extra research needed. Easy grader - grading feedback is minimal, but replies to emails are thorough/prompt.
Sabrina is an amazing history teacher! She is very quick to respond to emails with questions and the class is formatted very well. You can work at your own pace as long as you submit your work on time. There is ALOT of reading and lectures as well as writing, but it is very doable within a day or two. There are also opportunities for extra credit!
She's great! Only thing is that there's long lecture videos to watch. A 25 question quiz, one discussion post (500 words) and one reply (300 words) and one essay (1500+ words) per module (4 modules). Everything's pretty easy, but she doesn't accept late work. You should def take her for history!
This was such a light class! Great for procrastinators, units are in two week blocks with everything being due on Sunday. The essays and discussion posts are easy as long as you answer the prompt and reach the word count. There was a lot of extra credit opportunities and she's a really light and quick grader. Great teacher, and great class!
When I tell you the CADENCE this wonderful woman speaks in is the best I've ever heard, I'm not overexaggerating. I am in no way a history enthusiast, but this class was so well structured and interesting. She pulls out some great visuals and videos in her lectures. Everything is digestible, and if you're smart about your time, finish in a month!
Professor Sanchez was great, take her if you can! There are 5 modules that you need to do, but she only makes you do 4. It consists of an essay, quiz and discussion post while also giving you 2 weeks to complete it. Not a hard grader as long as you follow the rubric. A couple extra credit opportunities and was a decent workload for an online class.
Professor Sanchez is amazing!! It was a super easy class and all the work is graded pretty easily. There is a decent amount of reading for each unit, but it is only usually two documents that you use for the assignments. I highly recommend this class!!
