This guy is insane... he has no heart and he don't care about helping you... his test are killers
Gives quizzes online, you'll do well if you read and pay attention in class. Quiz questions are the ones on the test (test is mostly multiple choice with a couple short answer). No homework or projects or required class participation. VERY generous. Willing to maybe drop quiz grades. Rewards perfect attendence.
good for learning, very intense and difficult, but goood teacher.
He is terrible and has the highest drop out rate at the college!
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!! AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS! He is an absolute nightmare and I never want to take him ever again.
nice, but just don't take his class!
Don't take anything from this man
Dr. Rahmanian is not an easy professor, however students should not expect him to lower the standard just so they can squeak by. I worked very hard and got a 94 avg. He is very knowledgeable and is a good asset if you are going into the science field.
I heard how hard Dr. Rahmanian was at the beginning of the semester, but was determined to stick it out and do well in his class anyway. It has been VERY difficult. I have had to study MANY, MANY hours on my own. His lectures did not help me at all - if anything confused me more. I feel like I've had to teach myself to get through this class.
VERY HARD. I had to drop out of his online A&P class. Tests were not over the lecture notes that he uploaded. He was nice to me, but don't take him unless you have no other choice.
A hard teacher with high expectations. Very detailed tests. I had to study to get my 97 average...,many hrs..if you dont want to work hard then dont take him.
He tells you exactly what to study, and that is exactly what is on the exams. He asks questions that make sure you understand a concept and arent just memorizing facts. Ive heard others say they went out partying instead of studying and then complain when they get a bad grade. If youre a serious student and want to learn, take him. Dr R is awesome!
Saeed was a really good teacher. The class isn't easy because you have to study, but its college?? Biology shouldn't be easy or we'd have a bunch of idiots working in hospitals. He will help you if you ask and gives lots of bonus. Just participate in class, ask questions, and study/ read.
Dr. Rahmanian is an excellent instructor. Many complain that he goes too far in depth but it's to help your understanding. He's always willing to help if you have questions. It's not an easy course, but this is college. You definitely have to work for your grade in his class but it's definitely worth it.
He is very disciplined but a wonderful teacher! I bombed A& P I but I expect to pass with him. I have an average of 85 right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's awesome, don't take him if you don't want to learn something. He's not hard on the eyes either..
Does not make his own slide shows, uses the ones that the author from the book provides. He's very hard, and does'nt explain things well. Goes into details about things you don't even need to know. Won't tell you whats on the tests or quizzes. I would not recommend him to anyone!
I can't believe that I have a veterinarian teaching me human A & p. He is not a good teacher he is all over the place and not clear about anything. You can't ask questions, his test are awful and you study what he says and test on something else is teaching out of a different book than what we have. he makes it up as he goes.I am very disappointed.
If you need any help at all... FORGET ABOUT IT. He makes you feel really dumb even for asking a question. "It's in the book." That is if you need any additional help just to understand it. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE.
He's really interesting, but he doesn't use the textbook. You really have no point of reference for his online quiz questions. I would suggest taking someone else.
I had him for Lab ... super hard. He has a thick accent and goes over materials super fast. He's a great guy but he is very hard.
This class ruined my GPA and nursing school candidacy. Prof doesn't go by the textbook, make his own powerpoints, or lecture in an understandable way. If you ask for help, he'll tell you to "look it up" or is useless altogether. He doesn't curve even though his tests are ridiculous. You can never study enough. I would recommend a different teacher.
In any subject that i've taken, and in any school that i've eve went to, he is the absolute best teacher i have ever had. He is kind of strict and makes you work for your grade, but it is college after all. Absolutely excellent.
I took Dr. Rahmanian for A&P I and II. This class was easily one of the toughest classes I ever took. The amount of studying I had to do to get an A was ridiculous. However, he makes sure everyone who comes out of his class has a firm understanding of the topic. If you plan on going into a science field (nursing, med, etc.) he is the prof to take.
I regret taking A&P with him so desperately. He tests on things he didn't teach and that didn't prepare you for. He almost ruined my chances of getting into nursing school. I do not in ANY WAY suggest having him. I have him for lecture and a lab. Never again. I wish I had a do over button.
He is hard but very detailed. He answers questions with question and makes you think. I put many hours in studying to get my B. by far the most proud I have been of my self considering many people flunked him.
Brutal instructor! Very strict! Does not follow the text, especially in Lab uses his own material. He lightly touches on the anatomy and goes heavy into the physiology. Lab tests are fill in the blank and essay! My advice is to stay away from this instructor unless you enjoy a challenge!
He was extremely hard and his test are based on choose the "best" answer. Most of the time he told us something wasn't going to be on the test and then it was. Most of the class failed his tests if that tells you anything.
No help, does not hand out study guides. Tells you if your going to fail after taking the first two tests. He do not test over what he says. Very confusing and goes into very much, too much detail on things. In a class of 30, only 4 people passed his test. He said that it was going to be the easiest test.... Nopee. I would highly not recommend him
No comment just horrible
He does the best he can with a tough topic. Everyone complains his class is hard, I say it should be. Should I need a nurse, I hope she passed his class. You have to understand the material to pass his tests. study hard you can get an A
Mr. Rahmanian rarely uses the textbook required for the class, however it is a great resource for studying. He often goes into detail about related processes that don't necessarily deal with the testable material. He tries to make you think, and his tests are difficult. He will, however, work with you and find time to assist with study groups.
He is by far one of the most difficult teachers I have ever had in my entire life and I only have him for lecture; however, I have learned so much. Also, if you need help he has great office hours and is willing to sit there with you as long as it takes. I would recommend him if you want a challenge, and are willing to study.
I took him for A&P 2 lab and lecture. His lab is straightforward. It is pure memorization but the lecture is more difficult. It's not just multiple choice, he expects you to understand what he means. Plus the subject itself is hard to begin with.
He is a wonderful thorough teacher. It is a very hard class though, so you must study. If you take what he gives you in class and go to your book to elaborate the concepts you will do fine. I highly recommend him if you want to actually learn the material and don't mind d working for it.
This guy is one of the best. Ive taken a number of biology teachers and he is at the top. Be prepared to work for your grade though. He is extremely fair but absolutely requires you to pull your own weight. He is a very no nonsense kind of guy and just keeps it super real. He is hard but so are medical programs. He prepares you for that.
I took A&P 2 lecture and lab with him, he was nice but he is really hard to follow and his tests are really hard. He doesn't do study guides and doesn't always go over the stuff on the test in class. He gives extra credit questions on tests but they usually don't apply to the class. I made a B in the class but, I wouldn't tell anyone to take him.
His test are multiple choice, and he tells you what essay questions will be on the test. He also gives 20 points extra credit if you complete the Wiley Plus homework with an average of a B.
He assigns pretty much the entire section of homework as the test. He is ridiculous with his lectures because half of it isn't necessary for the test. It's fun to know as future nursing student but come on.
Always gives great lectures and acts out many topics. Great teacher, always helpful. If you don't understand something he will clarify. He gives study guides and a review game. Goes over any questions needed before the test. Tells you what short answer questions there will be on the test, but they are mostly multiple choice.
Literally the worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life. I am hoping next semester I will never have to see his face ever again. He is extremely smart don't get me wrong, but he has no clue how to break things down to make them easier to understand. His test are AWFUL!! I got a tutor and still made D's and F's on his tests!
I didn't want to take a night class so he was my only option . Biggest mistake I've ever made. I already plan on taking this course over again next semester, because he is so over your head it's impossible to keep up and learn anything. If he is your only option, I suggest you wait until the next semester just to avoid getting him.
He does not provide the information you need for his test, he gets to far in detail about things you do not need to know, and will make you feel stupid when asking a question. "This is your easiest course in the medical field, so if you can't pass this course you may want to rethink your major." One of his famous discouraging quotes. DON'T TAKE HIM
He does not like repeating himself. He says that there are no dumb questions but then you ask a question and he looks at you like you are stupid. He says to know the objectives and then asks exam question that are little tiny details about the objectives. Never no what to expect.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER! I have a bachelor's degree and I found this teacher to be the worst I have ever had. Although I managed a B, I was discouraged by his tests. I am not even sure where he was getting his test material. After studying his powerpoints, lecture notes, objectives list, and the textbook I was still getting mostly C's on his exams
Show up and study a little (just use the Competencies he gives as your study guide) most days of the week and you will do well. This teacher is fair in his expectations and grading. He clearly cares that students do well, and offers tutoring and extra homework if you need it. Lectures are interesting, study the slides before class. Great Prof!
I absolutely loved him as an instructor. I learned more in his lecture than from any other professor I have had. He provides learning objectives for each chapter that really help to focus my studying. I feel confident before tests bc I actually understand and learn the material rather than only memorizing to pass. Awesome professor!!!
The tests are very difficult and it is very unclear on what you will be tested on.
RUN AWAY! Very Nice but not able to present info in an easy to understand format. Test very hard. I was on the Dean's list till this class
Expects a lot from you. Tests are very hard. He is willing to help you outside of class and wants you to come see him during his office hours. He's very smart and it can be hard to understand what he saying because he expects you to know and remember what he has taught. He is a nice guy, it is just a very hard class and you must be willing to work.
Very smart man but his class is very hard. I'm an A/B student except for his class. His tests do not match the notes and the tests are VERY hard. I eventually stopped going to every class and starting teaching myself the material. all of his test are from online so they are completely random. Bought the new book, havnt used it once, waste of money
Very hard to learn from and he's a brat. I had him for biology and he was really scatter brained in his lectures. I studied a lot and still struggled, even though I'm usually pretty good at biology. He did give one take home test, but it was just because he was running out of time because he rambles a lot. He isn't very friendly either.
I absolutely love Rahmanian. He no doubt makes you work for it, but it's not supposed to be an easy class! The textbook WILL be your best friend and you will need to know every minute detail in it. He genuinely cares about the material and expects a lot from his students. If you're looking to get your "university" education at RSCC, take him.
Dr. Rahmanian isn't satisfied with you just memorizing subject matter, he wants you to understand and master it. His class was tough and if you want a good grade be prepared to work for it. His tests are challenging but he gives you PLENTY of study guides and is very accessible after class. I am a better student for haven taken him.
Had him for lab. Given weekly quizzes over the previous week's material, and a vast majority of a full class of students failed. The quizzes are taken directly from the lab book, but he does not go over any of the answers. Print out everything from momentum because he moves through the slides QUICKLY & you won't have enough time to write much down.
I would never take him again if he was the last one on the list
Probably the easiest professor for A&P at Roane State since he had a near death experience on a botany expedition in Cuba over the summer. If you show up and do all of your assignments you are pretty much guaranteed an A. He is very laid back and easy to talk to about a variety of subjects.
He know's what he's talking about, but doesn't know how to "dumb" it down so we can actually learn it. He also isn't very good at answering questions when you have them. And he rushes through everything.
, just reads off slides and doesn't really teach material. His class is learn on your own. Test are never the same format. Hard to know how to study for his test.
Don't memorize; you must comprehend the material to be successful (i.e. DRAW). He sets the bar high, but he will help you if you show you want to learn. If you really want to know and understand the material, take his class. if you just want to get a good grade, take someone else.
If you are going into healthcare and you actually NEED to know this stuff, take his class. 100% worth it. You will really understand and have to work through the material. Not an easy class though, be ready.
Basically his classes consist of him going over the material and he explaining it from slides he provides through momentum. The test questions are simple but require complete comprehension of the material. He teaches the information but he expects you to UNDERSTAND it on your own. If you are going into nursing, I recommend him. I learned a lot.
He makes you feel even more discouraged if you ask questions. Reads straight off PowerPoint, hardly explains. Dont bother going to talk to him during office hours, not worth your time. He jumps around so much you dont even know what to study for. Told the class that if we werent doing well we need to drop it because he will fail us.
His teaching isn't clear at all because he teaches directly off of the PowerPoint, yet he expects you to know all of the material in depth (lab & lecture). When you ask questions he either doesn't fully answer them or he embarrasses you for asking. Going to his office for help is pointless. To get through this class, I had to teach MYSELF a lot.
This professor is the first in my entire college career who seems to enjoy making the students feel stupid for asking questions and is extremely pleased to be the "smartest" guy in the room. Tests are more like essays, few multiple choice and counts off for spelling in Lab, no word bank. Lots of quizzes and tests. Extremely condescending and rude.
Rahmanian is great! He expects you to comprehend the material, not just memorize it. He's happy to help and answer questions outside of class if you need it. Be prepared to take plenty of notes, draw diagrams, and read the textbook in and outside of class.
He is not a good professor for online school. Very unorganized, lectures are hard to follow, homework and quizzes are for 2 different programs pearson, and momentum x 2 classes ( lecture and lab) topics tested are in a weird order and chapters dont match up on the handouts
Stay away from this instructor if you want to pass lab, I had a lecture instructor that 70% was in his class. The lab instructor held 30% and he made sure that i would be unsuccessful. Today, i don't know my grade in lab class. He did not acknowledge my accommodations, and i missed 3 tests that he did not post and denied me the right to take
Dr. Rahmanian will never be appreciated by those who would like material spoon-fed to them. If you are a student that aspires to receive an acceptance letter to a nursing school, take this professor. I took him for accelerated A&P2 in the summer. The work load is very similar to real life nursing school. I attributed much of my success to his time.
I took Rahmanian for A&P 1 online for fall 2020. His quizzes were easy if you do the reading and watch his lecture videos. His exams were impossible to study for, there was info on them that was not covered in the text or his lectures. He does not respond to emails quickly and cancelled an assignment I had already completed. Take someone else!!!!!
If you want to make a good grade in this class, dont take Rahmanian. You will have no life outside of studying and you will still struggle. Had him for lab and lecture. Lab is extremely hard and lots of intense memorization. You wont make an A unless you know the material in and out. Stay away unless you enjoy punishing yourself :/
Dr. Rahmanian is a great teacher and if you put the effort into the class, you'll succeed and learn a lot. I had him for A&P 1 lecture and lab. This is a challenging course, so be prepared to spend significant time studying from the textbook outside of class. If you want a solid foundation/prep for nursing school I highly recommend him.
If you want to waste your time and money go right ahead and take his class. He does not care if your struggling doesnt answer emails. My niece died I showed him the death certificate and still wouldnt let me take the test. I would never wish this class on my worst enemy.
I am currently taking the online lab and lecture. I tried watching his recorded lectures. He starts going on and on about things you dont need to know. His tests are absolutely brutal. No matter how much I study, its never enough. He does not give study guides so its hard to know what exactly to study for. I am basically teaching myself.
You could not pay me to take this professor again. I love a challenging teacher because it pushes me to really learn and understand the material. However, I feel this teacher thrives on seeing you struggle. I have never attended a class where I felt this way about a teacher. I strongly encourage you NOT to take this class.
Do not take this guy... he literally has hours of lectures and you have to know every single detail aboit the 90-100 (or more) slides. He covers so many things in the lecture, yet when it comes to exams he really dives into one topic. He gives a chapter review, but good luck with that. It doesn't help at all.
If you want to pass anatomy do not take Saeed Rahmanian. He makes everything very confusing, and every time you ask him a question he treats you like you are stupid. I went to get help from a tutor, and they could not help me because they did not know why he was teaching things in the order he was. He was teaching material for A&P 2 as well.
Dr. Rhamanian was probably the most difficult professor I've ever had a class with. He wants you to understand that material, which I get, but he makes this class so much harder than it needs to be. Multiple quizzes and tests that are hard to understand/worded weirdly. He's a very nice person though, which is tough because his teaching is so bad.
I would think really hard before signing up for this course with him as an instructor!
Very rude, cocky, too good to be teaching at a community college type of professor.
Dr. Rahmanian is an excellent professor. I had him for lecture in both A&P 1 and 2. He taught me how to study effectively and how to understand the material. Get ready for a lot of reading and studying. Use all the resources that are given, draw the drawings/diagrams he gives you! The class is challenging, but the rewards are fruitful and abundant.
Would not take again.
Such an amazing professor! He is the best professor I have ever had and I loved his class! He makes class so interesting and even lets students go up to draw out what we are learning on the board to help us understand it better. He really cares and is always willing to listen. I would definitely take one of his classes again!
His tests are so hard. Spent about one or two days on a CHAPTER. He reads from the ppt and goes on about things you don't need to know for the test. no extra credit. Be prepared to glue your eyes to your book. 4 exams and a quiz every week. so brutal. I have a 55 and he put the last exam online which can help me barely pass.
Absolutely awful professor. Made the exams worth so much. Made slide show presentations that were 100+ slides. Quizzes every time we met in class. The quizzes were incredibly hard. Did not actually teach the material. Always talking about APII, and things that did not relate to class. The worst professor I have ever had. Wanted people to fail.
Rahmanian is THE toughest professor I have ever had. I had to retake this due to an expired credit and I still struggled. On average, his recorded lectures for one unit accumulated up to 6 hours, which is tough to have a life. I had him before in person, which was better and I would recommend that. I wouldn't choose this professor.
seems like a nice guy but his teaching sucks. His exams set you up for failure. Weekly quizzes. Lecture videos that go beyond an hour each. PPT slides over 100 pgs long that do not help you retain any info. Honor lock proctoring that doesn't work half the time. Would not take his class again if you paid me. You pay to be there but teach yourself.
I would not retake this professor. He seems like a nice guy but unless you have 30+ hours to put into this class each week you may not pass. lecture videos can add up to 8+ hours, lecture and lab are pretty much 2 classes when he teaches, heavy testing (proctored), weekly quizzes, and required DSMs. Honestly material overload with not enough time
Usually I enjoy a challenging class, but this was not the case. I felt dumb in this class and I never understood any of the topics fully. Anatomy is my best subject, but he made me hate the class. I never understood anything in lecture, and he made me feel dumb for asking questions. I feel like he's too smart to be teaching.
Somewhat of a nice guy but VERY tough. I made a good grade bc I studied a LOT. If he notices ppl struggling/haven't studied he'll do a quiz next class to force you to study. He's discouraging saying things like “obviously you guys aren't studying” and “you guys are so behind” etc. Ppl are to scared to answer questions bc he makes people feel dumb
He gives random quizzes that don't help at all. You're expected to watch his lecture videos that can add up to 6+ hours. Ppt presentations are usually 120+ slides but don't provide any information that is on the tests because he tested out of the book but only went over ppt in class. Overall would not recommend to anyone
Dr. Rahmanian was a great professor. I learned a lot in his class because I had to work hard. He truly wants you to reach your fullest potential and in order to do that, you're going to be pushed, and I felt like he did it really well. He was always willing to do study groups, which helped a lot. I highly recommend him. He was a great professor.
Saeed tends to get a lot of bad reviews. When I first read these reviews, I thought I was screwed. Saeed teaches class is exactly the difficulty I imagined college. He is not an easy A, but you will leave knowing and understanding the material. It is important for him I am about to graduate nursing school with a 4.0 and it was all due to Saeed.
He seems like a very nice guy when you go to his office hours. Heavy on quizzes and exams, but that is expected from an AP class in my opinion. Very fast paced! Don't expect to get a breather in this class. It is a full time job! He is not helpful at all in preparing you for exams and quizzes. You are basically on your own to study the material.
This teacher is hard to understand, he doesn't make things very clear. I really struggled with this class and he was not very willing to help explain things. Lots of test which is expected, but sometimes random stuff that was not covered, or not explained well. After the 1.5 hour lecture, you have 120+ slides with information not covered.
I was torn between a 3 or a 4 for the rating. Rahmanian is very smart and a great lecturer. However, this class requires intensive studying. His tests are difficult and have a different layout to other biology tests I've taken. He is unsatisfied with just a basic understanding of the content and pushes you to have a firm grasp of the details.
The lectures, powerpoints, and textbook barely have anything to do with the tests, 90% of your grade is based on his awful tests. I would never recommend taking any of his courses, because he is TERRIBLE. No matter how much or hard that you study there is no way to do good on his tests.
