HE IS A COOL TEACHER

FREAKING AWESOME!!! all i can say is THANK YOU!! I took Mr Solfa spring of 09 and he was GREAT Definitely gave students chances to pass, overall hes a cool teacher so take him.!!!!!!!!

Math C... HARD. But Mr. Sofla is willing to help you if you want to help yourself. He truly cares if he see's you are serious and want to do well. I am horrible with Math. He always made himself available and was in the math lab for students. Truly a caring teacher.

He is very helpful, organized and fun teacher.

Mr. Sofla is a great teacher. He was always very helpful and willing to stay after class and answer all your questions. He was also available at the math learning center to help you. He truly is a caring teacher. If you have trouble with Math you should take his courses.

He's a great professor, he's willing to help you if you ask for help. He also walks down the row to ask if you need help. All the negative comments about this professor is mainly because those students didn't put time into the class. It's simple, if you want to be good at anything you have to put more time into it.

Mr. Sofla is by far the best, he is very detailed in explaining and very easy to follow his lectures. if you take math take it with Mr. Sofla trust me you'll be glad you did.

Honeslty, Great Teacher

Professor Sofla is a great math teacher. He is very easy and is willing to be there for you if you need questions to be answered. His lectures are very understandable. Homework assignments are a piece of cake and you have so much time do it, but don't procrastinate or else you will forget to do it. Overall he is a great teacher. Take his class!

I don't know why students hate him or dont like him. For my Opinion he's doing a great job helping students especially for those who are needs. He's very chill person and patience. I don't mind to be his professor from next semester. (5 out of 5)

Originally I had registered for this class thinking it would have been taught by another teacher.. they had switch class i guess, but I am sooo glad they did! This is the first time i got a passing grade for math and it's an A!! This teacher is extremely helpful and will explain things multiple times as long as you are willing to learn. AMAZING!

Math 903 is HARD. But Mr. Sofla is willing to help you if you want to help yourself. His teaching style is #1. He tries to communicate with everyone in class. Professor Soffla is an excellent teacher.If you are mature and really want to learn about the material then you will excel in this class.I especially enjoy how he explains the material in different ways,as everyone learns differently.Take his class.

If MATH 903 is one of your required classes, I highly recommend taking it with Mr. Sofla. He explains the material very well, encourages you to ask questions, and actually wants you to succeed in his class. Students that want to learn will enjoy his class. Mission College could use more instructors of Mr. Sofla's caliber. Excellent teacher.

I like his accent a lot. Great professor over all. Always ready to help with anything. Always in a good mood keeping the class motivated to learn while not making the lessons boring & dull.

Saeed was very thorough and helpful, during, before & after class. I really enjoyed his enthusiasm and sarcasm that kept the class interesting. I received an A in his class by simply attending every class session and doing the homework. I am now in summer session for Math C and wish I had Saeed as an instructor!

Professor Sofla is extremely helpful if you go to him with questions. It is apparent that he tries very hard to be helpful in this manner.

The class was easy. He made it easy. Very Helpful. Answers questions, no matter how stupid are the questions. The tests were easy and he is a FAIR grader. For a good grade in the tests, just know the concepts very well and you will be good. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, your life will be much easier.

Great teacher! Took a class with him during summer and was expecting it to be as hard as hell, but he explained the material really well. Was helpful with problems after class as well.

I had Professor Sofla for pre-calculus and it was an extremely easy class! The lectures were straight out of the book and he gave many examples. The really wasn't all that interesting, but he allows a 3x5 card for quizzes and the first test (1 side), both sides for the first test, front side of a paper for the 1st test, and both sides for the final

Sofla is very easy as long as you keep up with homework and practice them. He takes the same problems he goes over in class, tweaks it a bit and uses them during the tests. So no curve ball. He's very helpful, very patient and walks around the class to see how youre doing to help individually. Great teacher. This is my second math class with him.

Mr. Sofla is a great teacher! He was really helpful and super nice. He was kind and was always willing to help. I'm glad I had him as my teacher in the summer.

I recommend Mr. Sofla. He's nice without being too strict or too lenient. He's fair and willing to help. If the classroom is non-responsive he will assume you understand what is being taught. Mr. Sofla is a good teacher that wants his students to do good. I hate math and hadn't taken it for 2 yrs. Mr. Sofla actually made me learn something. He gives students credit for at least trying when trying to solve a problem. I strongly recommend him.

Sofla was a great instructor! I'm not great with math &he was able to break down each lesson for me to comprehend so quickly. Hands down one of the most helpful math teachers I've ever had. He only takes your 5 top quiz scores, 3 big tests, and 1 easy final at the end. If you get an A on the final he gives you an A as your overall grade! :)

a great and nice teacher. he goes through the book through normal lessons without expanding too much on the information. However, if any student doesn't understand something or needs the information to be expanded, he is always more than willing and capable of explaining information in a way so you can understand it

professor sofla does his best to help the whole class and doesn't leave one to think in the dark. if someone doesn't understand a topic, or if the whole class doesn't know how to answer a question, he works through the whole problem step by step to allow everyone a chance to understand. he is a fair teacher and ii recommend to take his class

He is an excellent teacher. He's lenient enough to his students, not that strict, and funny. He's willing to help you with anything you may have questions on. I can't really say that there is anything wrong because he is a fair professor.

He's uber cool, though you do need to do homework day after day, or you will get left behind. Capiche?

The best math instructor I've ever had. If you ask questions, he will answer & go over them. He really helps you so you can understand, because he cares. If you don't learn the principals of algebra in the beginning you will fall behind as it gets tougher. He uses Mathlab, no notes or calculators for tests & quizzes.

Mr. Sofla is probably one of the funniest, caring math teachers. If you really want to knock out Math C take this guy because i guarantee by the end of the semester you'll be glad that you took this class.

It's rare to find a teacher who really wants their students to not only pass the class, but to actually learn and understand the content of what s/he is trying to teach. I took this class over the summer and it was probably one of the easiest math class you will ever take if you know the basic rules of algebra. Mr. Sofla is always there to help you in any way that he can and he curves or give bonus points on test. I was honestly so glad that I picked him and no wonder why his class gets full pretty quick SO HURRY!

Excellent professor; he has a perfect pace for the course, and a wonderful sense of humor. Lectures are long and thorough but time flies with his ability to interact with the class. I struggled with math for the longest time throughout school, and for the first time Sofla helped me really reward the understanding of this language.

Mr Sofla has saved me from failing twice now! Every time I take his classes I pass with out too much hassle. There are tests on each Chapter and he does give homework but make sure to do it, it is VERY helpful! Keep that in mind. He's pretty funny too, quite humorous.

He's always there for you! He's the type of teacher that will ask the class if they understood and will know by the looks whether ther do or not & will try his best to help you understand!

He's approachable and willing to help anyone. As long as you show up and show your work there no reason to fail his class. Overall a great professor!

Professor Saeed Sofla is a great person. He is often comes to class 30 minutes early to let students review the lessons. Also, He is pateient and helpful.

enjoyed this class very much, he's a great professor. i took him for summer 2016 and i made sure to take him again for fall 2016. he gives a good amount of extra credit and the class is super easy.

His lectures are great. He is real caring teacher. He is always early to help students. You have to ask for extra credit HW. Extra credits helped me a lot. I recommend him for any math class you are taking.

Mr Sofla encourages questions and class participation. It's the best way to learn aside from repetition. I agree with his mandatory attendance policy. You pay for the class, he gets paid to teach. Utilize and respect each others time. Communication is key to understanding the material, but also if you need to miss class for a valid reason.

He was a great teacher who thoroughly explained everything. When students needed help they would write the questions that they struggled with on the board and he would review it with the whole class. He had a great sense of humor and made math quite enjoyable. Also gave the class extra credit and is very nice. Definitely would take him again.

My first time in school, I really enjoyed his class. Attendance is important, any days missed you will have to teach yourself. I like his way of teaching, and ways to explain things. I would take him again.

Took the class over the summer and Sofla made this class as easy as possible for the students. There was a lot of homework because it was a summer class but it was definitely manageable. He gives the class opportunities to drop lowest test score if the class wants to take another test and same thing with quizzes. A great teacher would recommend.

I took summer class and Sofla is the solid math professor. I struggle math in high school and came to college knowing no math, but he changed it for me. I'm now considering a major with more math class. THANK YOU PROF. SOFLA. YOU SAVED MY LIFE.

I took Sofla over the summer for Math C. I am terrible at math but he made it very easy for me. I did have to put in the work though. He stays after class and comes early before to help students out. Highly recommend him.

He is very kind and understanding which makes taking a math class easier than it usually is. Sofla listens to what the class wants and helps when ever is asked. Mymathlab is all we needed and the textbook is online for it anyways.

Prof. Sofla is a good teacher. He made sure everyone understands the material and is accessible for help. Taking him for Math 2 in the summer and then Math 3a in the fall. I wish he taught all of the math classes.

Prof. Sofla was such a sweetheart and I don't think I'd have been as confident this semester if it weren't for him. This was my 2nd time taking math C not counting the first time when I dropped halfway through because I could not deal with that prof's teaching style. Prof. Sofla is super helpful and encouraging and above all else he grades fairly.

Professor Sofla is a great math teacher on campus that he tries to help students that struggle with complex problems; he goes step by step through the material so everybody understands it. However, his tests are hard because the percentage is 40% and he chooses problems from the lectures so don't miss class and study with classmates for the final!

Mr Sofla is great, he cares about his students. Goes above and beyond to help you and make sure you understand what he is teaching. The exams are hard and YES you have to work and study but if you do that you will be just fine. I enjoyed his class and highly recommend him.

This was my first math class in college and I enjoyed it a lot. Professor Sofla gives hw and it's important to do them and practice them because those are on quizzes and exams! SO DO YOUR HW. Professor Sofla is an amazing professor! I took him for both MAT C and MAT 1, and his classes were pretty easy. He grades leniently (gives points based on your work), so even if you get a question wrong, you still can get partial credit. He likes to give a lot of quizzes. Although he assigns a lot of homework, homework and practice with example questions from the text are needed in order to be successful in this course. Prof. Sofla is an EXCELLENT teacher. He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He will not move ahead with his lecture until everyone understands; just let him know. Also grades fairly, if you show you know the concept, you will get credit for showing work. MathC is not easy, you have to work hard regardless of who teaches it

Professor Solfa is an amazing teacher for statistics. The homework is very clear and is directly related to the tests and lectures. He may also extend the homework if the week is very busy. He is reasonable with his students and very approachable. If you have any questions, he will answer them before class, during the 10 minute break, or after.

Professor Sofla is a great teacher. He cares about his students, will extend homework due dates, and his quizzes are easy as long as you take the time to study the lecture notes. You have the option to either take quizzes/exams online or on paper and I suggest studying off the homework for those! Highly recommend taking him.

Took Statistics (MAT10) this semester to finish my GED before transferring. Professor Sofla's course is clear to follow and very much doable if you put in the effort to do the HW and Study. We Utilized MyStatLab; quizes are 6-10 questions, exams are on paper/online 12-18, and the cumulative final is on computer. +Note cards: for quizzes & tests.

if you are looking for a instructor who is caring for you and your grade and who always try to make sure you understand well and pass the course, well here he is. Mr. Sofla is the best professor. the exams are easy and what you learn.

Saeed Sofla is the best professor. I can't thank him enough and appreciate him enough for always ready to help. I used to ask many questions during the class and not once I had ever felt that he is hesitating or doesn't have time to answer my questions. He explains so well. you jut need to ask if you don't get the concept believe me. He is awesome.

I took his course in a summer class and feel like it was worth it. Although he does lecture a lot, he likes to end class early and that is much appreciated. He also conveys information very well.

I took Professor Sofla for Stats in the summer. Overall, the class was a little intense because it was in the summer which is 8 weeks. I really liked Professor Sofla's teaching style, he was a helpful person and cared for his students. I highly recommend him for anyone who needs to takes stats, you won't regret it.

I took his summer Stats class and it was great considering I haven't been in a college setting in years. I thought I was going to dread taking a this class as a summer course, but taking it with him was not bad at all. He was really understanding if you needed to leave class early. Almost always ended class early too, so that's a plus.

Professor Sofla is the best math professor I have ever taken. I took Math 10 during the spring last year and failed it due to the Professor being really unorganized so when I decided to take it during summer I was very worried but it turned out great he is very caring and if you see him during office hours he is super helpful! I would recommend!

Sofla was great. I took him for stats and he was very helpful. There are a lot of quizzes and tests but he is very reasonable.

A really caring teacher!took his summer course with another heavier class,so sometimes it became hard to finish all the homework,but he's very understanding. easy grading. if you miss a couple assignments it's fine(i recommend doing most of your hw because its the same as the test questions).he allows cheat sheets and dropping test scores as well:)

It's very interesting to work with him. Such a nice and caring man. If you have any problems, you can ask him after class or just raise your hand in class and he'll help you immediately. I really enjoyed this class. Just a little too much hw, all of the testes, quizes... are the same w your hw.

I didn't get the grade I wanted because I skipped alot of class because I was trying to pickup hours. He wasn't happy I skipped class but I totally get it.
