Take him for this course. He explains everything in detail and he tells you before hand exactly what to study for. If you do your hw and your study class notes carefully then you will have no problem in getting an A. Make sure he knows your trying.

Prof. Sidhom is the best prof on earth. I dont know why some stupid people say he is hard and that you can not understand him. You will understand him if you want to do well. The stupid students that get lower then a B are just jack ASSES!

I have always done terribly in Math. This guy is extremely easy and tells you exactly what will be on the test. I got an 87 on the midterm and could not be more happy. Very sweet guy, too! TAKE HIM.

Great teacher! I suck at math but Dr. Sidhom knows that people in 134 are not math majors and really tries to explain the material in a way you can understand.

He's not hard at all! He does give a lot of notes, but his notes explain the material better than the textbook! You can't miss any of his classes, cuz you won't understand a thing if you do. He tells you what tests will cover. Really nice! Got an A!

His style is old school european. Awsome professor. He really made a difference in my life professionally and personally. Good job professor!

Man.. Take this professor for your MAT 117 class. He is sooooo easy. But you need to listen to him very carefully, 'coz his english is not fluent. He'll give you extra credits if you do bad in the exams. Take him.!! don't waste time on other Math Prof

So far Sidhom is the greatest prof. in Math. Serious about the class. Very consistent and knowledgeable in his subject. Curves. Sometimes, early dismissal. Overall, the best asset in Math dpt. You will definitely learn from him.

He's extremely helpful and makes sure you get the work. You dont have to use the text (save some $) but you do get easy one question hw's. Three tests with four questions. If you ask he will go over any question. Sometimes gets mad when the class get noisy but he's okay. Good teacher.

I'm so happy that Sidhom subbed for our class when Adams left. He makes kindergarteners understand the math he taught. LOTS of notes, but copy them, they'll help you better than the book so dont buy it. He's also very helpful. Thanks professor Sidhom for saving us from Willie Adams!!

TAKE HIM! He is sooo understanding and although he gives you a lot of notes, they are very helpful. Ask him for help if you dont understand something, because he is very nice about that. Thanks Dr. Sidhom for saving us from Adams! :)

Everyone should take Sidhom. He may give a lot of notes, but that is what his tests are based on. He helps you if you need it. Just don't be afraid to ask.

Prof may be unclear, but is very easy and explains everything thoroughly, tests are fair and clear, easy graded, reviews exactly what will be on the exam, Easy to get an A if you study for his exams.

Never used the textbook so don't buy it to save $$. Homework every week (which helps in the exam). Doesn't use powerpoint. Does chalk-talk which is very effective because you'll be able to follow the computation process. He's patient and he creates a non-threatening learning atmosphere.

He is awesome. He curves like 10-20 points so you always do good. He has an accent that can be hard to understand at times but he is always willing to help you through your problems.

Great Professor. You should not buy the book unless you want it for extra examples. He has a very strong accent but you get used to it. Great notes that relate directly to the exam. Very nice man. Take him.

Good professor. I took this class in the summer and got a good grade. If you take this class during the semster and can't get a good grade i don't know what to say. There is alot of note taking the test are all based on the notes. Small 1-2 page paper that will help boost your grade. He explains all the problems. No office hours no email.

Ignore the last comment below. Prof Sidhom is a sweet old man who does have a heavy accent but if you can get pass that this is the easiest math class you can ever take. He's extremely patient and makes his work easy to understand. I took him for both MAT 114 and 117. Anyone who has trouble in his class is an idiot. sorry but TRUE.

Overall a good professor. The ONLY bad thing is that accent but you can get past that. Hardly ever uses a textbook and everything is straight foward.

This guy is easy but you gotta review ALL notes before taking a test. Everything is straight forward. Attendance is mandatory because if you miss a class you miss A LOT! Overall a good class where you learn a lot and tests are whatever he reviews the class before.

Wow. This guy is pretty easy! At the start of the semester he looked hard but I ended up getting an A. Does not use a textbook. Gives you homework which is good for review. You have to go to class since he writes the notes down when class starts. Just review your notes and the tests are straight from your notes. EASY!!!!!

This guy looks mean at first but he really does care for his students. When he sees you doing bad he will try to work your grade to your favor! Got an A by doing his homework. COPY his notes on the board and study them because it's the same things on the test!

sidhom was really tough, his tests were never easy but i think he was a pretty good teacher because i felt i could understand things

BEST MATH PROFESSOR EVER!!! He explains every detail in detail. Doesn't go on until every single person understand the material. Easy grader and a fare professor. What you learned in class is what you get on the tests.

Good professor, he's egyptian moderate accent, somewhat of a stern off putting attitude but is really straight forward with the material. LOTS OF NOTES. TAKE EVERY NOTE. Whole test comes from the notes. Absolutely no need for a textbook. Weekly hw usually takes 10 mins longest 30 mins. Highly recommended, esp. if you struggle with Math.

He is the best math professor in pace. He does have a thick accent but you don't need to understand what he says in class since he writes down what he says on the board. His class and tests are all step by step formulas. He walks you through every problem and makes sure you understand it. He is impossible to fail but you have to WRITE a lot of note

The course seems difficult and overwhelming because of the extremely long notes that he writes on the board. However, once you MAKE An EFFORT to understand the problems , the class is pretty easy. Be warned, his tests are 8-11 pages, seriously.... Overall he is a great guy and he'll most likely curve if you show effort.

He is a strict teacher, although he has lots of homeworks and heavy tests, he really wants students learn something.

Sidhom's accent is thick but you'll get used to it. He repeats himself a lot which helps! I promise he's not a bad professor! He gives weekly homework but it takes 10 minutes tops. Before every test he reviews the test word for word so you're prepared. He also doesn't make you memorize formulas. You don't need the textbook. I highly recommend him.

Professor Sidhom is an incredible teacher. He lectures a lot and you will take SO many notes every class but they are all very thorough and easy to understand. He is very knowledgeable and will answer any question you have. He has a thick accent that will take a couple of classes to get used to, but it is not a problem. Easy A if you pay attention

Prof Sidhom is a very caring professor. He is the one who makes this class easier to understand. The midterms will be basically according to his notes. He is trying, he has an accent but it's not a big deal. Come on guys, it is math, it's all about the numbers. The best prof from the math department.

Theres lots of homework and excel assignemts but if you do them youll be fine. Very sweet and funnyyyy. Tests are hard so be prepared to study. Clear on what hes grading you on. Show up to class youll get points.
